Detection of Edge on Radar Image (레이다 영상의 경계 검출)

  • In this paper, we have discussed three-type median filters(SQUARE, CROSS, X-SHAPE) that preserving edge in an original image while reducing random noise was introduced for image enhancement and edge detection on radar image. Since radar image have a number of parts of curve, we compared results produced by edge detection operater proposed for improving the parts of curve with results of using the existing edge detection methods, such as Roberts, Sobel, Prewitt, Laplacian and Kirsch.

  • 샷 경계면 분할 기법은 효과적인 비디오 검색 시스템을 구축하기 위한 기본적인 기술이다. 따라서 효과적인 비디오 분석을 위해서는 신뢰할만한 샷 경계면 검출 기술이 필요하다. 하지만 비디오에서는 일반적인 프레임 뿐만 아니라 디졸브, 페이드와 같은 다양한 형태의 특수효과 등이 포함되어 있어 포괄적인 기술 개발이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 지금까지 알려진 몇 가지 기법들의 성능을 비교하고 이를 개선시켜 몇 개의 새로운 알고리즘을 제안하고 있다. 샷 경계면 분할 작업이 끝난 뒤에는 비디오 클러스터링을 하기 위한 대표프레임 추출 작업이 필요하다. 대표 프레임은 단순하게 각 샷의 첫 번째 혹은 마지막 프레임을 추출할 수도 있지만, 이 경우 각 샷의 동적인 특성들을 제대로 표현할 수 없으므로, 본 논문에서는 샷의 변화량을 측정하여 대표 프레임의 수를 결정하는 방법을 사용하였다.

An Analysis of False Alarm Threshold Value by Heat Detector Using Heat Release Rate (열방출률을 이용한 열감지기의 오동작 경계값 분석)

  • This paper presents a study on the analysis for false alarm of heat detector using HRR(Heat Release Rate). And it is represented to threshold value and domain of false alarm. The HRR threshold value of false alarm is calculated to use parameters obtained by small scale fire-experiment. The experiment is conducted to measure detector activation time and flame spread of wood cribs fire, etc. The results show that HRR threshold value of Fixed type detector is 20.24 kW and rate of rise type detector is 13.59 kW, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 CCD 흑백 카메라를 이용하여 입력되는 인쇄체 한글 이미지의 문자를 인식하여 편집 가능한 텍스트 문서로 변환하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 문자 인식에 있어서 잡음에 강한 경계선 기울기 방법을 이용함으로써 문자의 구조적 특성에 근거한 윤곽선 정보를 추출할 수 있었다. 이를 이용하여 각 문자 이미지의 수평 및 수직 모음을 인지하고 6가지 유형으로 분류한 후, 자소 단위로 분리하고 최대 길이투영을 사용하여 모음을 인식하였다 분리된 자음은 경계선이 변화되는 위상의 형태를 미리 저장된 표준패턴과 비교하여 인식하였다. 인식된 문자는 KS 한글 완성형 코드로 문서 편집기에 출력되어 사용자에 제공되는 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • 단순한 형상의 소음기는 평면파이론에 의해 비교적 간단하게 음향성능을 해석적으로 구할 수 있다. 그러나 소음기의 형상이 복잡해지거나 해석하고자 하는 주파수의 범위가 평면파의 차단주파수 이상이 될 경우 소음기 내부의 음장이 평면파에서 벗어나게 되어 평면파 이론에 의한 해석은 실제와 상당한 오차가 발생하게 되므로 음장에 대한 3차원 해석이 필요하다. 이론적으로 3차원 문제를 해석할 수 있는 경우는 형상이 극히 단순한 경우에 국한되므로 유한요소법(FEM), 경계요소법(BEM)과 같은 수치해석적인 방법이 이용되고 있다. 경계요소법은 적분 커넬(kernel)의 특이성(singularity) 문제가 있지만 대상 영역의 경계면만을 이산화함으로써 모델링에 소요되는 시간과 노력을 절약할 수 있으므로 음향문제 해석에 있어서 효율적인 방법이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 3차원 경계요소법 프로그램을 개발하고 평면파이론에 의한 해석이 어려운 여러가지 형태의 소음기에 대한 음향성능을 예측하고 실험으로 검증하는것이다. 특히, 단일영역으로 해석이 불가능한 다공형 소음기에 영역분할법을 적용하여 계산하고 결과를 검토하였다.

Treatment of Inclined Boundaries in a Finite Element Model for the Mild-Slope Equation (완경사 방정식을 이용한 유한요소모형에서 경사경계의 처리)

  • A numerical skill for effective treatment of inclined boundaries in a finite element method is introduced. A finite element method has been frequently used to simulate hydraulic phenomena in a coastal zone since it can be applied to irregular and complex geometry. In case elliptic partial equations are governing equations for a finite element model, however, there is a difficulty in treating boundary conditions properly for cases in which boundaries are vertically inclined. In this study, a method to treat such inclined boundaries using Bessel functions for a finite element method is introduced and compared with analytical solutions.

The Multidirectional Random Wave Diffraction in a Partial-Reflecting Harbor due to a Submarine Pit (Pit에 의한 부분반사율을 갖는 항내에서의 다방향 불규칙 파랑회절에 관한 연구)

  • The present study is to estimate the effects of diffracted wave fields in a harbor and around harborentrance due to random waves, when a navigation channel is dredged in the vicinity of the a harbor entrance. The cross sections of harbor boundary are considered to be partial or full reflection in this study. The numerical simulation has been performed by the boundary element method, which is to discrete segments of pit- and harbor- boundary with the algorism of auto generated elements. The incident wave conditions are specified using discretized forms of the Mitsuyasu's frequency spectrum and directional function. The results of the present numerical simulation agreed well with those of the published experimental data. It is shown that the ratios of wave height reduction are about 20% for the case of fully reflecting boundary, and 10% for the case of partially reflecting boundary by the effect of placing a pit, respectively.

An Optimization Model Based on Combining Possibility of Boundaries for Districting Problems (경계 결합 가능성 기반 구역설정 최적화 모델)

  • Districting is a spatial decision making process to make a new regional framework for affecting human activities. Natural barriers such as rivers and mountains located within a reorganized district may reduce the efficiency of reorganized human activities. This implies that it is necessary to consider boundary characteristics in a districting process. The purpose of this research is to develop a new spatial optimization model based on boundary characteristics for districting problems. The boundary characteristics are evaluated as continuous value expressing the possibility of combining adjacent two basic spatial units rather than a dichotomous value with 1 or 0 and are defined as an objective function in the model. In addition, the model has explicitly formulated contiguity constraints as well as constraints enforcing demand balance among districts such as population and area. The boundary attributes are categorized into physical and relational characteristics. Suitability analysis is used to combine various variables related to each boundary characteristic and to evaluate the coupling possibility between two neighboring basic units. The model is applied to an administrative redistricting problem. The analytical results demonstrate that various boundary characteristics could be modeled in terms of mixed integer programming (MIP).

Author Verification by the Analysis of Edge Structures in Art Works (작품의 경계 형태 분석에 의란 예술품의 진위 판정)

  • Author verification system of ancient literatures or art works are important in the aspects of cultural properties control and owner's properties estimation. For this, experts of cultural properties administration have been done in inspecting the author verification. But inspection fee of experts is expensive. Therefore, social demands are increasing the automatic author verification system. For this, this paper proposes the automatic author verification system by the edge structure analysis of art works. The method of edge structure analysis is adopted because of these feature factors are significant in the several feature factors. In the near future, 1 will develope the entire system to teat the various art works by comining several feature vectors. Finally, the effectiveness of this paper is demonstrated by the several experiments.

A Study on Digital Image Processing Algorithm for Area Measurement of an Object Image by the Hierarchical Angle-Distance Graphs (계층적 각-거리 그래프를 이용한 물체 면적 측정을 위한 디지털 영상처리 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Digital image processing algorithm was proposed to measure the area inside of an object image using angle-distance graph used to analyze the pattern of an object in the digital image processing techniques. The first angle-distance graph is generated from a point inside of an object area. The second angle-distance graphs are generated for the areas missed in the first graph by extracting the positions with large gradient in the first angle-distance graph. The order of the graph increases according to the complexity of an object pattern. Size of the area inside of an object boundary is measured by integrating square of distance multiplied by angle for each area from the hierarchical angie-distance graphs.
