The purpose of this study is to investigate Seonyudo Park and Kkummaru in terms of haptic space. This is also an attempt to explore temporality of appearing in architectural spaces with reference to cinematic expression in which time is visible and perceptible. The film of Chris Marker's La Jet$\acute{e}$e depicts temporal relationship by indeterminate continuum, reading the space on the disjunctive relationships of visual and auditory, and aberrance of time and space. Based on the three categories that is derived from those discussions, this study analyzes the experience of non-chronological time induced by architectural devices: the bifurcation of indeterminate circulation, the readability of space on the disjunction of visual and auditory, and the border-dismantling. Therefore, this study have a relationship with the contemporary discourse on time and events as transformation and becoming, and it means to escape from the deterministic thinking to emphasize invariability and space rather than variation and time.

Remarriages constitute an increasing proportion of all marriage in Korea. In 2010, 21.9% of marriage were remarriages for one or both partners. In spite of such increasing of remarriage, not much attentions were given the issues of remarriage in the academic circle of social welfare in Korea. This study is conducted to understand the nature of remarriage, the family structure in remarriage, the relationship between the boundary ambiguity and the family functioning in remarriage. Although boundary ambiguity is believed to be more problematic for remarriage families than first-marriage families and as such has been the topic of research in the U.S.A and other countries, few studies have focused on this topic in Korea. This study examined degree of boundary ambiguity of 125 samples of remerried women and their family functioning. Also, the study examined the relationship between the boundary ambiguity and the family functioning in remarriage. This study conceptualized boundary ambiguity as an incongruence between physical and psychological presence or absence of family members. The findings indicated that the majority of respondents(67.6%) were categorized as having both no psychological and no physical ambiguity. 19.8% of respondents were categorized as having physical ambiguity, 9.9% as having psychological ambiguity, and 2.7% as having both psychological and physical ambiguity. Statistically significant differences of family functioning in remarriage were found among four groups having different type of boundary ambiguity.

This paper aims to identify the characteristics implied in the process of change of Stephen Sondheim's musical style and to derive the structural communication tools that connect the creator and audience and the implications. The strategies that appear in Sondheim's musical works are the following. First, Sondheim's early musical works follow the principles of book musical and emphasize the integration faithful to the basic elements such as the rhythm and meaning of the lyrics. Second, in the era of early postmodernism, Sondheim attempts the principle of extreme deconstruction through the concept musical Company and pursues rational thought through fragmented dramatic flow. Third, while maintaining dramatic linearity to overcome the lack of immersion caused by extreme deconstruction, Sondheim realizes a more elaborate and formalized fusion style of the principles of integration and deconstruction through the choruses and the songs of the characters in Little Night Music and Sweeney Todd. Finally, Sondheim attempts multiple experiments to break down the boundaries of act and scene and to express new subject matters through his works such as Sunday Park with George and Into the Woods. In conclusion, Sondheim's fusion experiments and strategies are the process of finding a framework and a medium of communication to induce dramatic immersion of audience and at the same time create rational thinking about social problems to deliver the message of the creative work with the leading aesthetics of the modern musical's box-office success.

The remark by Andy Clark that the cleverer our world is, the more difficult we perceive our world and ourselves, is very significant to us living in digital world. As the huge power of Technology are dominating the world, the people are drifting with their body fragmented in diverse kinds of chaos, being are faced with the situation that they should reorganize themselves about personal life and ways of thinking in a new technological environment. This paper approach some characteristics of contemporary society through 'Cyborg' which is the product of limitless human desire and technology. The characteristics in modern times, such as boundary disjoint, hybridity, transformation, fusion, communication with image, digital sensitivity, womanness correspond to those of the Cyborg. This paper also investigates the history of modern Cyborg through animation, one of the remarkable medium in digital age and analyze the cyber punk animation, and by Oshii Mamoru, which provoked the extension of the concept of Cyborg. This paper will give a moment to diagnose what this age is like and to present a reference line of our contemporaries exposed to the surplus images and technology.

The purpose of this study starts searching a new method for preservation, succession, and research of folksongs in the situation that the function and transmission of folksongs are transformed or disappear by being behind modernization. Also, trying to develop a new method of study of folksongs along with a new view of them, I put fusion in the heart of the study. Fusion means a structural change in the middle of the process of combination from more than two things. Moreover, in order to practice the fusion method of study consilience in a view of study is necessary. The interdisciplinary study beings in accepting differences between academics as long as the differences have a meaningful value disassemble and differentiation are repeated. That is, fusion means rebirth through disassemble. According to this logic, we need to disassemble the folksongs for fusion study of folksongs, research the structure and component of folksongs in a new view and understand each part of the wholeness of folksongs. On top of that, we need to try combine the parts with anything else or interpret them with consilience. In this study, I researched the previous example in the fusion or integration of folksongs and Korean classic poetry in the time of enlightenment of Korea. In addition, I studied the way of fusion folksongs as culturology, bio-sociology, and sympathy. Looking back folksongs in a variety of view, we can realize folksongs are disassembled or differentiated at the same time they reborn and are interpreted in a new view.

Industrial design, as a traditional meaning, is based on the method of production by machine beginning with the Industrial Revolution. At present, the identity of design is in confusion with the development of computer and related medium technology. The new wave called 'cyber' has doubts about the hypothesis in the method of production by machine as the production method by machine had doubts about the hypothesis of the production method by handicraft long before. This thesis is a study on how computers and new media, such as virtual reality, change our environments and susceptibilities of life and design culture. The thesis is going to dismantle and reorganize the material-oriented classification based on the production method by machine through the discussion on cyberspace and culture, image. and text, virtual image and reality, and so on. Eventually this study finds out a topography and identity of the design in this changing age.

Due to the change of socio-cultural conditions, family dissolving is increasing. As an alternative, grandparents who parent their grandchildren are also increasing rapidly and many show deep concern at this phenomenon. The grandparents-grandchildren families were approached through policy-makers' and professionals' perspective, not through insiders' view. The purpose of this ethnographic study were to explore the experiences and meaning-makings of grandmothers who are raising grandchildren. 22 narrative interviews with 10 grandmothers were conducted. The results of data analysis are as follows. The cultural theme in rasing experiences of grandmothers is 'Constituting a family beyond the multiple boundaries'. This theme include four cultural meanings: 'Recunstuction of everyday life beyound boundaries', 'Boundary of relative poverty more rigid than boundary of absolute poverty', 'Compromising constantly with normal culture having both inclusion and exclusion' boundaries', 'Having aspiration toward crossing the boundaries'. The policiy-makers and practitioners for the grandparents-grandchildren families should recognize the experiences and meaning-making of these families and should perform culturally perceptible and family-centered policies and practices.

Cathode open-type PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells) stacks, which are widely used in small transport-type PEMFC, have a problem with poor durability. Through the accelerated durability test of the 13-cell PEMFC stack, we tried to find the cause of the degradation of the stack and to contribute to the improvement of the durability of the cathode open stack. A hydrogen/air boundary is formed during start-up/shut-down (SU/SD) due to the structural problem of the cathode open stack in which the cathode is open to the atmosphere and it is difficult to maintain airtightness, thereby deteriorating the cathode. In this study, it was possible to evaluate the durability in a relatively short time by reducing the 54% of the initial performance by repeating SU/SD 1,800 times on the cathode open stack. After dismantling the stack, each cell was divided into two and the performance was analyzed. Overall, the anode outlet MEA, which facilitates air inflow, showed more severe electrode deterioration than the inlet MEA, confirming that the hydrogen/air boundary formation during SU/SD is the main cause of degradation.

Korean blockbusters are the works finished by the dialectic of the meeting and collision of two cultures or H. Bhabha's cultural hybridization. They represent things Korean and Western, and yet their borders are demolished to create a new complicated mixture. Typical examples are Swiri, JSA Silmido Taegukgi Whinalimyu, containing a special Korean situation of division ideology and expressing an extremely Western style of production. This thesis will study the present status of Korean film aesthetics through the cultural hybridity.

The characteristic of mutant has long history, which is shown in various science fictions. There are different types and characters like Satyrs from Ancient Greek to superheroes in present. In fact, however, mutant as a cultural content has not been discussed sufficiently in Korea, even if related analyses were required indeed. In the thesis the characteristic and types of 'Homo Mutant' will be introduced and analyzed in many aspects and look for the reason why 'Homo Mutant' can be revealed and apply for further possibilities.
