A Study on the Earthwork Calculation Using Photogrammetry (사진측량을 이용한 토공량 결정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this thesis lies in proving the practicality of photogrammetry and in promoting photogrammetry in earthwork which plays a major role in civil engineering projects. Analysis of accuracy in the determination of ammount of earthework was done by applying interpolation methods in digital terrain model. As a result of analysis of the data acquisition method, in cross-section method produced acceptable accuracy from Simpson's three-eighths rule and prismoidal rule. In results DTM, we have obtained the fact that earthwork calculation accuracy was increased by applying two or more interpolation methods. Therefore, the method by digital terrain model using aerial photograph has proved to be more efficient.

A Validation Study on Scale of Determinants for Korean Traditional Music Performances (국악공연의 관람 결정요인 척도 타당화)

  • The purpose of this study is to validate scale of deteminants for watching Korean traditional music performances to activate the market by procuring and increasing Korean traditional music performance consumers that exhibit generally low preference in the performance market. Accordingly, FGI was conducted on seven employees and professionals in the arts and cultural sector and then open survey results were categorized into eight factors and a total of sixty-five items using the KJ method to find the viewing decision factors per consumer type of Korean traditional music performances. Afterwards, a six-factor and thirty-five items were extracted after conducting an exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to verify the structural appropriateness, and then the feasibility of the composition of Korean traditional music performance viewing decision factor scale was verified. Results of the analysis showed that first, for general Korean adults making decisions to view Korean traditional music performances, there was positive impact in the order of interest-creating factors, fame and talent factors, emotional and information factors, creativity factors, reasonable price factors, and social relation factors. Second, the general tendency of decision factors to view Korean traditional music performances showed relatively high levels in reasonable price factors and interest-creating factors among the Korean traditional music performance viewing decision factors, while emotional and information factors were found to be relatively low.

  • Natural language processing has several ambiguity problems, and English-Korean machine translation especially includes those problems to be solved in each translation step. This paper focuses on resolving part-of-speech ambiguity of English words in order to improve the efficiency of English analysis, which is in part of efforts for developing practical English-Korean machine translation system. In order to improve the efficiency of the English analysis, the part-of-speech determination must be fast and accurate for being integrated with machine translation system. This paper proposes the probabilistic models for part-of-speech determination. We use Penn Treebank corpus in building the probabilistic models. In experiment, we present the performance of the part-of-speech determination models and the efficiency improvement of the machine translation system by the proposed part-of-speech determination method.

A study on removal of unnecessary input variables using multiple external association rule (다중외적연관성규칙을 이용한 불필요한 입력변수 제거에 관한 연구)

  • The decision tree is a representative algorithm of data mining and used in many domains such as retail target marketing, fraud detection, data reduction, variable screening, category merging, etc. This method is most useful in classification problems, and to make predictions for a target group after dividing it into several small groups. When we create a model of decision tree with a large number of input variables, we suffer difficulties in exploration and analysis of the model because of complex trees. And we can often find some association exist between input variables by external variables despite of no intrinsic association. In this paper, we study on the removal method of unnecessary input variables using multiple external association rules. And then we apply the removal method to actual data for its efficiencies.

  • The global economy, including Korea, has continuously searched for various market-friendly policies and new economic systems in pursuit of the forth industrial revolution. As a result, economic markets have grown, and factors affecting markets have diversified. Therefore, as for many company's decision makers, it has become an important issue to analyze and forecast markets accurately and effectively for rapid and appropriate decision making. In this study, we aim to improve the accuracy and validity of forecast models by applying extended information criteria in existing restricted information criteria to determine optimized modeling for the accurate analysis and prediction of complex market environments. In order to verify the practical use of the extended information criteria adopted in this study, we compare this study employing KOSPI data with previous studies. Experimental results show that applying extended information criteria is more accurate than using the existing information criteria.

  • Productivity is acknowledged as a very important factor for successful construction projects. Various data items collected daily form a construction site can be used for monitoring its productivity by analyzing them. However, no analytical methods for that purpose have been established in the domestic construction industry yet. Previous researches that utilized OLAP and data mining to analyze the factors that affect the productivity did not do well with predicting future cases with sufficient reliability. This research therefore proposes a new analytical process which is capable of figuring out the factors that would affect the productivity of future projects, through qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data collected from past projects.

  • This paper aims at measuring the changes of Malmquist productivity and technical efficiency of Korean shipbuilding Industry and examinig their determinants utilizing the panel analysis. The increase of the technological progress was greater than technical efficiency, resulting in the increase of the total factor productivity for the period of 2004-2010. This study also employs the panel technique to analyse the effects of Employee, Dock, and Length on the changes of Malmquist productivity and technical efficiency. The dependent variables are obtained from three combinations, which are (Employee, Dock, and CGT), (Employee, Length, and CGT), and (Dock, and Length, and CGT). The empirical results show that all of the explanatory variables have a positive effect on the change of Malmquist productivity and technical efficiency.

  • 최적화 컴파일러 및 병렬 컴파일러는 종속성 분석을 통하여 프로그램의 문장 사이, 동작들 간에 가해지는 실행 순서 상의 제약 조건을 추출한다. 이러한 제약 조건은 계산의 의미를 보존하기 위한 필요 조건들이며, 컴파일러의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 프로그램의 변환은 이 제약 조건을 만족하는 범위에서 수행되어야 한다. 본 고에서는 컴파일러에서 최적화 및 병렬화할 프로그램의 부분과 적용될 변형 기법 등을 결정하기 위해 필요한 종속성 분석에 대한 내용을 다룬다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of organizational trust and its effect on organizational effectiveness in the public organizations. This study examined five factors of organizational competencies, consideration, fairness, organizational morality and organizational social responsibility as the determinants of organizational trust and job satisfaction, organizational commitment and intend to leave as the indicators of organizational effectiveness. For this study, data were collected from 323 public officials in Gyeonggi Province with structured questionnaires and analyzed using structural equation modelling technique. This study found that organizational competencies, consideration, fairness, organizational morality and organizational social responsibility made significant contributions to the formation of organizational trust and that organizational trust impacted positively organizational effectiveness measured in terms of job satisfaction, organizational commitment and intend to leave.

Characterization of Chitin and Chitosan as a Biomedical Polymer (생체의료용 재료로써 키틴·키토산의 특성)

  • Development of various medical systems was accomplished through the progress of biotechnological method for therapy of human diseases. Furthermore, drug delivery systems have been investigated to carry the bioactive materials such as drug or gene in the body effectively. The most important thing in this system is to develop biomedical polymers having biocompatibility, biodegradability, and non-toxicity. Chitosan, a natural polymer, has been importantly considered as biomedical materials due to its good biocompatibility and various bio-active characteristics. Since the property of chitosan is differently explained according to the crystalline structures of chitin, the study for structural analysis of chitin has to proceed to apply as a biomaterial. From this point of view, this article introduced the analysis of crystalline structural of chitin, general property of chitosan and potential characteristics of low molecular weight water-soluble chitosan (LMWSC) as a biomaterials. Furthermore, chemical modification of LMWSC using various functional groups was also performed to enhance its bioavailability and emphasize their potential as drug delivery carriers (DDS).
