Prediction of Lift Performance of Automotive Glass Using Finite Element Analysis (유한요소해석을 통한 자동차용 글라스의 승강성능 예측)

  • The performance of power window system was decided by driving characteristics of the window regulator part and reaction by the glass run. The performance of power window system usually has been predicted by experimental methods. In this paper, an analytical method using the explicit code was suggested to overcome the limit of the experimental methods. The friction coefficient of glass run was obtained by the friction test at various conditions and the Mooney-Rivlin model was used. Also, a mechanism of window regulator consisted of the fast belt system and the slip ring elements. And, we conducted the analysis considering characteristic of a motor and obtained the lifting speed of automotive glass with high reliability

Digital Particle Holographic System for Flow-Field Measurements (유동장 계측을 위한 디지털 입자 홀로그래피 시스템)

  • In this study, a digital particle holographic system and its application to channel-flow measurements were investigated. A double-exposure hologram recording system that is capable of recording digital holograms in a short time interval was developed. A correlation coefficient method was used to determine the focal plane of particles. The Wiener filter was used to remove noises and improve image quality. Two-threshold and image segmentation methods were used for binary image transformation. The cross-correlation method was used for particle pairing. The developed system was employed to study channel flow fields, and the axial velocities of channel flow were measured. The measurement errors are acceptable, and this proves the feasibility of using the digital particle holographic system as a good tool for flow-field measurements.

  • Ptak & Smith published ORLICKY'S Material Requirement Planning Third Edition in 2011 to correspond the rapidly changed market demand by improving the original MRP based on Theory of Constraints(TOC) replenishment inventory management. This study is to develop the simulation model to decide the proper target inventory level for TOC replenishment inventory management using system dynamics Vensim software. This study shows that the proper target replenishment level is how much significant to manage the inventory by the random sample data simulation. This simulation model will be extended to compare the results of the TOC replenishment inventory management planning with the results of the old MRP planning by the enterprise actual inventory data.

  • The main Objectives of this paper are as follows. First, we investigated effects of Smart Phone quality on the usefulness and ease of use of Smart Phone. Then, we investigated effects of the usefulness and ease of use of Smart Phone on the intention of use. Our research model is based on TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). To accomplish the purpose of this paper effectively and efficiently, a survey was conducted based on the usage of Smart Phone. Then we conducted regression analyses on the collected data and found following results. First, Smart Phone quality have a significant effect on the usefulness and ease of use of Smart Phone. Second, the usefulness and ease of use of Smart Phone have significant effects on the intention of use. Third, Smart Phone users are more satisfied with the system quality than cellular phone users. And the continuous use intention of Smart-Phone users is higher than that of cellular phone users.

  • The study explored a way to analyze return-on-investment for evaluating corporate e-learning programs. It is said to be not easy to measure return-on-investment due to complexity of determining exact amount of cost and benefit of any e-learning program. In this vein, it has been rare to see researches regarding return-on-investment for corporate e-learning programs. Nevertheless, it is needed to try to document return-on-investment evidence for verifying effectiveness of the programs. More concretely, the purpose of the study is to draw up guidelines in making decisions about whether companies should invest in e-learning programs any more at particular point of time.

  • This paper aims to regard paternalistic leadership as research object, introduces organizational identification as intermediary variable to find out the impact on organizational commitment, using a sample of 406 employees from enterprises. Results showed that first, authoritarianism had no impact on organizational commitment, while benevolence and morality related positively to organizational commitment. Second, paternalistic leadership had positive effect on organizational identification. Third, organizational identification mediated the relationship between morality and organizational commitment, but did not mediate the relationship between benevolence and organizational commitment. Limitations of the study, and implications of the findings are discussed.

  • The object of this study is to verify the feasibility in the application of the GPS system data to the existing geodetic and cadastral survey system. WGS-84 data, which were converted into domestic geometric coordinate system, were compared with those of the existing triangular coordinate system in Gwangju area. The significant results in this study are summarized below ; GPS system is more speedy and accurate than the existing triangular coordinate system in the survey of points in triangular coordinate or on the map. And the error in the GPS system was more uniform than that of the existing triangular coordinate system. GPS system is more effective than the existing triangular coordinate system in the future geodetic and cadastral survey because GPS data can be processed by the computer. It is necessary to calculate the conversion coefficients to apply GPS data practically to the existing geodetic and cadastral survey system. It can be achieved by the individual investigation on how the existing data in the domestic coordinate system were determined.

Modeling of Force Components Acting on Quay Walls During Earthquakes (지진시 중력식 안벽에 작용하는 하중성분의 모델링)

  • When the seismic stability of quay walls is analyzed, the magnitudes of force components acting on quay walls during earthquakes and the phase relations among these force components must be properly evaluated. In general, force components include inertia force of the quay wall, lateral earth force, and water force. The magnitude and the phase relation of each force component vary according to the magnitude of the excess pore pressures developed in backfill soils of the quay wall. The dynamic thrust mobilized at the contact surface between the backfill soil and the wall develops as a result of the interactions among these force components. We propose a simple model to evaluate the magnitude and phase variation of the dynamic thrust on the back of the wall in terms of the excess pore pressure. The proposed model can predict the dynamic thrust by summing the magnitudes of farce components calculated from design equations for seismic pressures on the wall. The proposed model was verified by comparing its results with the results from a series of shaking table tests.

Optimization of Multiple Tower Cranes and Material Stockyards Layout (다중 양중장비와 자재 야적 위치의 최적 결정을 위한 모델 개발)

  • This study aims to provide an optimal model for the layout of multiple tower cranes and material stockyards which have multiple candidate positions. In a high-rise building construction, the positional allocation of tower cranes and material stockyard has an effect on the travel time of material hauling. In addition, in case of using multiple tower cranes, specific location of a tower crane allocated to each material determines the efficiency of the works. Current optimal model limited to the optimization of position of single tower crane and material stockyards. This study suggests optimal model both for the positions of multiple tower cranes and material stockyards. Layout of multiple tower cranes requires additional allocation of each crane to each material hauling and control on the minimum distance between tower cranes. This optimization model utilizes genetic algorithm to deal with complex interaction on the candidate positions of multiple tower cranes, material stockyards, and types of materials. In order to identify its utility, case study was performed.

  • VE is one of the most effective and systematic tool available to achieve the required function at minimum cost and manage in many industrial fields. The purpose of the preparation phase VE job plan is to establish a cooperation system referring to groups for the successful implementation of VE, and to achieve a common objective to collect sufficient materials required in the analysis phase. The Quality Model is used to measure the requirement of shareholders(users and owners)in the project. It also offers a guideline on decision making when executing the function definition, function arrangement, function evaluation, and the idea evaluation of VE. However, the current the preparation phase business confirms that the required items of owners and users has not suggested definite goals and directions. This study analyzes the problems of current work in the preparation phase from case study, survey and interviews of experts. It then proposes a new process after understanding the required items of owners, users and experts.
