Development of Optimum Construction Lift Operation System using Sensing Information for High-rise Building (센싱정보를 활용한 초고층 건설용 리프트 최적화 운행 시스템 개발)

  • As recent buildings have been more higher and larger, construction vertical lifting planning and operation is a key factor for successful project in tall building. Although many studies have been trying to set up a construction lifting planning system at early stage, there's not existing a control real-time lift operation control system with respect to during construction stage. Therefore, In this study, we use the sensor device to collect the lift operating data for improvement of lift operation efficiency and develope optimum lift operating system which can perform real-time analysis. Finally, we verify the efficiency of proposed system through comparison between realtime operating data and simulated data using proposing system. In this paper, the proposed system show more efficient moving line compared with previous system. This can contribute to development of unmanned lift system.

  • For manufacturing industry to achieve efficient manufacturing process, improving a company's productivity and reducing cost is a required task of the current manufacturing companies. For design of efficient manufacturing process and improvement of productivity, efficient manufacturing process method is studied through removal of unnecessary elements analyzing motions and using test-bed linkage system based on virtual reality. When building process line after verifying optimization through virtual process arrangement simulation in advance, it is available to save additional cost for process modification or supplement to result in practical effects of improving a company's manufacturing competition. Reducing design period, improving equipment, making automation, realizing ergonomics, and improving process through this study, it will be available to achieve improvement of productivity, enhancement of quality, cost reduction as well as employees' satisfaction for safety and health.

Optimum Structural Design of Space truss with consideration in Snap-through buckling (뜀-좌굴을 고려한 공간 트러스의 최적구조설계에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the optimum structural design of space truss considering global buckling, and is to obtain the minimal weight of the structure. The mathematical programming method is used for optimization of each member by member force. Besides, dynamic programming method is adapted for consideration in snap-through buckling. The mathematical modeling for optimum design of truss members consists of objective function of total weight and constrain equations of allowable tensile (or compressive) stress and slenderness. The tangential stiffness matrix is examined to find the critical point on equilibrium path, and a ratio of the buckling load to design load is reflected in iteration procedures of dynamic programming method to adjust the stiffness of space truss. The star dome is examined to verify the proposed optimum design processor. The numerical results of the model are conversed well and satisfied all constrains. This processor is a relatively simple method to carry out optimum design with consideration in global buckling, and is viable in practice with respect to structural design.

  • Although the importance of creative thinking is rapidly increasing in the new century, the generation of creative ideas and its application in the construction industry have been considered relatively difficult. Thus there have been a few studies on the subject that how to apply creative thinking tools with empirical evidence in the construction industry. Value engineering(VE) has been widely applied in the design phase of construction projects due to the government regulation, Brainstorming has been the most prevalent idea generation techniques in the VE activities during the past several decades. Contrary to popular belief, the performance of brainstorming is not so good. It is known as the brainstorming myth. This paper proposes the business creativity codes(BCC) as an alternative idea generation tool in the design phase VE of construction projects. In order to examine the effectiveness of the BCC, 50 successful field cases awarded in the design VE competition of government agency are used. The result shows that the BCC can be used as an effective idea generation tool in the design phase VE construction projects.

  • Recently, there is the growing concern about the environment and energy. Such concern has been seen in the field of building. In this study, Analysis was performed about a variety of techniques that can be applied to the building sector. By conducting a survey of expert, Characteristics of each technology and each Building types application are certificated. As a result, The application of renewable energy in buildings and determine the characteristics of each technology are presented. Based on these results, the selection method of the efficient technologies that take advantage of the building of the project from the planning stage are expected.

A Study on Critical Success Factors for Enterprise Security Collaboration (전사적 보안협업을 위한 핵심성공요인에 관한 연구)

  • Although the requirement of enterprise security implementation has been raised, a few research on security collaboration, which is one of the methods for enterprise security has been performed. This paper approached information security from the collaboration-centric perspective and propose critical success factors for security collaboration. In this study, a model of security collaboration, which includes coordination and cooperation activities was devised. Based on the previous research on organizational collaboration literature, the eight success factors for collaboration were deduced and examined the significance of the eight factors using the PLS-SEM statistical method with data of 106 samples who are security and IT professionals who have worked for more than 7 years. The result of the hypothesis test supported that trust, expertise motivation, collaboration performance criteria, top manager support and collaboration tools are the prominent factors of security collaboration.

  • In this paper, we propose an effective use of SuperSQL for efficient media publication that utilizes relational databases. SuperSQL is an enhanced SQL processing system that converts data stored in relational databases into a variety or applied formats, such as XML and HTML, as a result or query. In order to integrate various media generators in SuperSQL query processor, we discuss methods to prepare both for new media promptly and for efficient media publication processing system. This research makes two main contributions: (1) it is a study about methods to integrate media generators by combining common processes in SuperSQL query processor, and (2) it introduces the trinity data model, which divide the media generating processes into three aspects, which are value, structure and medium abstraction. We also show the good performance and feasibility of our system.

  • Recent modeling and simulation technologies are being used in various fields, especially in the field of military simulation-based acquisition (Simulation Based Acquisition) is recognized as an essential policy. In test and evaluation phase of the SBA process, to build a simulation-based T&E(test and evaluation) environment is needed when T&E cannot be carried by real weapon system. To improve efficiency and reliability for T&E, interoperability, reusability and reliability for T&E equipments and systems are important. In this study, we propose applying simulation framework for efficienct test and applying VV&A process for reliable evaluation. We describes the characteristics of the development process, the actual test cases and the results of evaluation. Finally utilization plan and the future direction of research is described.

  • Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time. It concerns the study of the operating characteristics of real systems. Typically, a simulation project consists of several steps such as data collection, coding, model verification, model validation, experimental design, output data analysis, and implementation. Among these steps of a simulation study this paper focus on statistical analysis methods of simulation output data. Specially, we explain how to develop confidence interval estimators for mean ${\mu}$ in terminating and non-terminating simulation cases. We, then, explore the estimation techniques for $f({\mu})$, where the function $f({\bullet})$ is a nonlinear that is continuously differentiable in a neighborhood of ${\mu}$ with $f'({\mu}){\neq}0$.

Impact on AIS Process and Firm Performance of Accounting Information System Based on Dynamic Capabilities Framework (DCF에 근거한 회계정보시스템이 AIS프로세스와 기업성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Accounting information systems (AIS) capture and process accounting data and provide valuable information for decision makers. However, in a rapidly changing environment, continual management of the AIS is necessary for organizations to optimize performance outcomes. I suggest that building a dynamic AIS capability enables accounting process and organizational performance. Using the dynamic capabilities framework (Teece 2007). I propose that a dynamic AIS capability can bedeveloped through the synergy of three competencies: having (1) a flexible AIS, (2) a complementary business intelligence system, and (3) accounting professionals with IT technical competency. Using survey data, I find evidence of a positive association between a dynamic AIS capability, accounting process performance, and overall firm performance. The results suggest that developing a dynamic AIS resource can add value to an organization. This study provides guidance for organizations looking to leverage the performance outcomes of their environment.
