  • For the object-oriented development methods authorized by OMG a number of official methodologies such as Booch, Coad/Yourdon methods are used in the development of the object-oriented soft ware and each methodology represents its process of analysis and design using different symbols. Between those notation methodologies there exist some differences as a matter of development, information for transfer, accordingly they act on the transfer of the information in the object-oriented development as obstacle and give rise to they natural outcome of error. The aim of this study is in the presentation of ideas that decrease the probability of errors by means of verify8ing the transferring ability of information which the existing diagrammatic notation methodologies have had on the basis of cognitive science, minimizing the cognitive load from the object-oriented development through enhancing symbols in each obstacles to transferring information and removing them.

Classification of Client-side Application-level HTTP Traffic (HTTP 트래픽의 클라이언트측 어플리케이션별 분류)

  • Today, many applications use 80 port, which is a basic port number of HTTP protocol, to avoid a blocking of firewall. HTTP protocol is used in not only Web browsing but also many applications such as the search of P2P programs, update of softwares and advertisement transfer of nateon messenger. As HTTP traffics are increasing and various applications transfer data through HTTP protocol, it is essential to identify which applications use HTTP and how they use the HTTP protocol. In order to prevent a specific application in the firewall, not the protocol-level, but the application-level traffic classification is necessary. This paper presents a method to classify HTTP traffics based on applications of the client-side and group the applications based on providing services. We developed an application-level HTTP traffic classification system and verified the method by applying the system to a small part of the campus network.

  • Recent advances in optical-network technologies have led to the advent of broadband networks reaching 10 Gbps. The increase of available network bandwidth envisions wide-spread use of broadband applications such as uncompressed Internet HDTV, which would be a cutting-edge application for networked collaborations. Despite of breakthroughs in high-performance systems and networks, expensiveness blocks wide-range deployments of uncompressed Internet HDTV systems. In this paper, we propose a low-cost uncompressed Internet HDTV system and discuss its software architecture in depth. We conducted several network-based experiments utilizing a research network test-bed to evaluate the performance of the proposed system.

  • Recently, as both business processes and IT systems become ever more complex. Especially, enterprise applications tend to become unmanageably complex and increasingly costly to maintain. Therefore complexity is the insidious enemy of software development. It is critical to have a methodology that recognizes and manages this enemy effectively. In this paper, we propose ISIS (Integrated System of Independent Subsystems) - the architectural style needed to develop the complex enterprise applications. The ISIS was developed to meet the challenge of reducing the complexity of a larger enterprise application today. It gives us architecture models for reducing development complexity and composite application. The enterprise application is partitioned into a collection of independent subsystems using ISIS decomposition schemes and equivalence relations. We use middleware named ISIS engine that provides a service for subsystems interoperability by enabling the integration of distributed, cross-platform subsystems. We have implemented an ITSM system that achieves our objectives, reducing development complexity, using the ISIS architecture. Finally, ISIS architecture provides greater flexibility and productivity when an organization needs either to change its business processes, or to update the underlying systems.

Ontology Alignment based on Parse Tree Kernel usig Structural and Semantic Information (구조 및 의미 정보를 활용한 파스 트리 커널 기반의 온톨로지 정렬 방법)

  • The ontology alignment has two kinds of major problems. First, the features used for ontology alignment are usually defined by experts, but it is highly possible for some critical features to be excluded from the feature set. Second, the semantic and the structural similarities are usually computed independently, and then they are combined in an ad-hoc way where the weights are determined heuristically. This paper proposes the modified parse tree kernel (MPTK) for ontology alignment. In order to compute the similarity between entities in the ontologies, a tree is adopted as a representation of an ontology. After transforming an ontology into a set of trees, their similarity is computed using MPTK without explicit enumeration of features. In computing the similarity between trees, the approximate string matching is adopted to naturally reflect not only the structural information but also the semantic information. According to a series of experiments with a standard data set, the kernel method outperforms other structural similarities such as GMO. In addition, the proposed method shows the state-of-the-art performance in the ontology alignment.

  • A license plate recognition system consists of image processing in which characters and features are extracted, and pattern recognition in which extracted characters are classified. Feature extraction plays an important role in not only the level of data reduction but also performance of recognition. Thus, in this paper, we focused on the recognition of numeral characters especially on the feature extraction of numeral characters which has much effect in the result of plate recognition. We suggest a hybrid statistical feature model which assures the best dispersion of input data by reassignment of clustering property of input data. And we verify the effectiveness of suggested model using multi-layer perceptron and learning vector quantization neural networks. The results show that the proposed feature extraction method preserves the information of a license plate well and also is robust and effective for even noisy and external environment.

  • Nowadays, mobile computing has become a common computing paradigm that provides convenience to people's daily life. More and more useful mobile applications' appearance makes it possible for a user to manage personal schedule, enjoy entertainment, and do many useful activities. However, there are some inherent defects in a mobile device that battery constraints and bandwidth limitations. These drawbacks get a user into troubles when to run computationally intensive applications. As a remedy scheme, component offloading makes room for handling mentioned issues via migrating computationally intensive component to the cloud server. In this paper, we will present the predictive offloading method for efficient mobile cloud computing. At last, we will present experiment result for validating applicability and practicability of our proposal.

A Study on Reducing Duplication Responses of Chatbot Based on Multiple Tables (다중 테이블을 활용한 챗봇의 중복 응답 감소 연구)

  • Various applications are widely developed for smartphones to meet customer's needs. In many companies, messenger's typed interactive systems have been studied for business marketing, advertising and promotion to provide useful services for the customers. Such interactive systems are usually called as "Chatbot". In Chatbot, duplicated responses from Chatbot could occur frequently, and these make one lose interest. In this paper, we define a case that the response of Chatbot is duplicated according to the user's input, and propose a method to reduce duplicated responses of Chatbot. In the proposed method, we try to reduce duplication responses through a new duplication avoidance algorithm by building multiple tables in a database and by making combinations of user's input and its response in each table. In our experiments, the proposed method shows that duplicated responses are reduced by an average of 70%, compared with the existing method.

  • As a link composition of a double link type level luffing jib crane was determinated through the link composition design, the design to be considered will be computations of the luffing trajectory deviation at the fly jib tip and the required luffing device capacity. This paper is a study regarding the static and dynamic analysis for a mechanism of the crane. The objective of the static analysis is to determinate the capacity and the dimension of luffing device when the crane selfload, rated hoisting load, wind load and inertia force are applied on the crane. The objective of dynamic analysis is to compute the luffing trajectory deviation, velocity and inertia force due to luffing acceleration for each link. All analyses are performed by computer programs. The reliability of the program was checked by results from analyses of the related commercial package. It is expected that the productivity and reliability of the design can be improved by this program which can rapidly and exactly deal with static and dynamic analysis for a given link composition of the crane.

  • To perform effective integration test of avionics equipments, the importance of a setup for integration test environment has been increasing in recently developed aircraft. Especially, the development of integration test equipment is necessary for minimizing the development period and reliability of integration test. This paper treats the model development for optimal working of integration test after analyzing the characteristics of each MEP equipments for Surion(KUH). Models, whose main role is troubleshooting of equipment and simulation for missing equipments, consists of dynamic, behavior, and ICD models depending on the dynamic characteristics. Software test for both unit level and system level are performed to verify the model reliability. By conducting integration test using SIL, it is confirmed that the developed models are suitable for integration function test of the MEP system.
