The Hyangwonjeong and Chwihyanggyo located in the back garden of Gyeongbokgung Palace have mainly been investigated by referring to historical records about the reign of King Gojong and various drawings thought to have been made in the late Joseon period. Because the current Chwihyanggyo was rebuilt temporarily after being burned to the ground during the Korean War, its form and the location of its reconstruction are not grounded on any accurate historical investigation. Although there are some photos of the Chwihyanggyo that were taken between the end of the Joseon period and the Japanese colonial era, there is no information about the photographer or when they were taken, and it is hard to see which photos show the original Chwihyanggyo Bridge with them. The Cultural Heritage Administration, which is currently promoting the restoration of the Chwihyanggyo, has recognized this problem and initiated research on the matter. In 2017, an excavation survey successfully identified the original location of the Chwihyanggyo, as well as that of Hyangwonji Gado (假島), and the shape of the first foundation stone in the pier. With these findings it was possible to infer the ways in which the Chwihyanggyo has changed over the years. Moreover, by measuring the AMS (Accelerator Mass Spectrometer) of the samples collected in the mounding layer of the Gado where the Hyangwonjeong is located, it was discovered that the Hyangwonjeong was constructed sometime after the Imjin waeran (Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592), which means that the theory that 'the late Joseon Hyangwonjeong was not the former early Josenn Chwirojeong' is groundless. Judging by the materials found to date, we can reasonably assume that the Chwihyanggyo and Hyangwonjeong must have been built around the same time that Geoncheonggung Palace was founded in the late Joseon period.
The image of woman shown in an animation was pretty extraordinary as Disney has kept the conservative tendency so far. The two princesses in were described as independent women getting out of the traditional gender role and dependence on men. For this reason, there is a tendency that interprets as a feminist work. Even though the character showing the image of independent woman could be an essential index to define feminist work, it is not enough to define the tendency of works. Thus, this study reviewed if it would be valid to interpret as a feminist work. First, the 'sisterhood' which is the main theme of contained the feminist concept as 'women's solidarity' on top of friendship between sisters. Therefore, when analyzed focusing on the core concept of women's solidarity like difference, empathy, and solidarity, reflected 'differences' in narration, character, and image, etc. When differences in sisters which became the cause for misunderstanding and conflict were acknowledge based on their true love, the process of forming empathy and solidarity was described. The solidarity between Elsa and Anna not only became the power to defeat the enemy, but also reflected the feminist value of forming the community of coexistence like Adelen which was rebuilt after getting back the spring. Thus, it was verified that is a feminist work.
This paper investigated the construction year of 'Jeongnimsa(定林寺)temple in Buyeo(扶餘) through the recent archaeological records. First, the composition of land for the construction of temple was linked with Gwanbukri(官北里) sites which is estimated as palace. The composition of land for the palace was formed at late 6th century. Second, the several furnace sites was discovered under the foundation soil layers for the construction of temple. Reference to the pottery excavated from the previous surface indicates that the workshops having been operated a period of time after the transfer of the capital to Sabi(泗?). These workshops having been operated before the construction of roof-tile buildings which were followed by the large-scale composition of land for the palace at Gwanbukri sites adjacent to the north of 'Jeongnimsa. The pottery, roof-tiles and chinese porcelain which were included in the earth laid on the ground for the construction of temple also indicates that the construction year of temple do not go up to shortly after the transfer of the capital to Sabi. This is related with that wooden pagoda would have been present before stone pagoda and the foundation of the wooden pagoda would have soared into the ground. Last, the building layout of temple is familiar to Iksan(益山) Mireuksa(彌勒寺址) temple site than the temples of Buyeo such as Wangheungsa(王興寺址) temple site. This imply that Jeongnimsa temple was not constructed shortly after the transfer of the capital to Sabi like the opinion of the existing. Jeongnimsa temple was probably constructed at late 6th century when composition of the Sabi city was actively made.
Jangan-sa is one of the Buddhist temples in the southeastern seaside district, which was restored directly after the termination of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. Recently we could find out 4 records on the constructions of Daeoong - jeon in J angan-sa. These are written in the 12th year of Emperor Soonchi, written in the 8th year of Emperor Geonryung, written in 1947 Buddha Era and written in 1951 Buddha Era. Until the revelation of these records, the present building has been considered to be built in 1657, the 8th year of King Hyojong, based upon Kim Bang - han's "Jangan - sa Daeoong - jeon - gi". Because the gongpo of Daeoong - jeon was finished with the type of the late period of Chosun Dynasty, we doubt of the correction on it's building date, just in the year of 1657. Now we are able to examine the building date and the alteration date, based upon the actual measurement and constructional records of Daeoong - jeon. So to speak, the building destroyed in 1592, had been restored in 1658, the 9th year of King Hyojong and was reconstructed in 1744, the 20th year of King Youngjo. Afterward it was repaired on small scales in 1947 and in 1951. Though this building is considered to be lack of the completeness owing to the later alterations, it is still worthy heritage for the research on the building type at the directly after the termination of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592.
This study aims to investigate the original position, the writer of signboard handwriting and the period of Wibongmun and Joyangru in order to restore Wibongmun and Joyangru which have been designated as tangible cultural properties (有形文化財). They also have to be moved in the Gangwon Provincial Office. Wibongmun and Joyangru were established as government offices in chuncheon(春川官衙) and they were used as attached buildings in Chunceon (春川離宮) in 1890. Wibongmun was moved to Gangwon Provincial Office 5 times and Joyangru was moved twice. In order to move them back to the original place, by using the topographic map made by the Japanese Government-General in Korea, we find out Joyangru was located in the exit of Gangwon Provincial Office and greenhouse and we also figure out Wibongmun was located in the garden. While we study historical evidence on handwriting, we also find out the handwriting of Joyangmun was written by Songhaong (松下翁) Jo, Yun-Hyeong (曺允亨). Especially, Joyangru had played a role as a government office and it may be called 'Joyangru' after reconstructing 'Joyangmun' when attached buildings were established. Through this study, we found that the first period and reason of establishing Wibongmun and Joyangru was at least before 1788. Through this study, we can find the period of both and its historic meaning more clearly.
The purpose of this study is to provide a basic for a desirable bathroom plan of apartments. As a first step in this process, we analyzed the bathroom plans of the apartments(area: 10-69 pyung) constructed in 8 sections in Seoul from 1971 to 1995 where 65,801 households live. In this study, the numbers, location, size, and proportion of the bathroom and dressing room, and the direction of the bathroom door in apartments are examined. The major frindings are as follows; 1) We have found that the numbers of bathrooms to increase in more than 20s pyung apartment since 1990. 2) Except a master bathroom, the another one for the guest is located in enterance in more than 40s pyung apartment. 3) The door of the bathroom faces corridor in more than 40s pyung apartment. So, it is possible for them to lessen discomfortness when they coming in and out of the bathroom. 4) It was found that the size of bathroom were decreased in most cases. 5) They did not plan a dressing room in 10s pyung - 60s pyung and the size of dressing room was decreased in 60s pyung apartment.
The Noeun-dong Paleolithic site located at the construction area of Daejeon World Cup Stadium, has been excavated two times between 1998 and 1999. The site is situated at 60-75m above sea level on a gentle slope. According to the absolute dating results a
The Five-story Stone Pagoda from the Dongsa-ri Temple Site in Buyeo, dated to early Goyeo Dynasty, is valuable in that it is the southernmost example of the capital Kaesong pagoda style. This pagoda exhibits characteristics of the central Goryeo style featured in the pagodas built in and around the capital Kaesong, such as the diagonally curved section of the support for the cover stone above the upper stereobate. It also shares stylistic affinities with eleventh-century stone pagodas. The ansangmun (elephant eye patterns) in the lower stereobate of the Dongsa-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda resemble those in the pedestal of the Stone Seated Buddha (which was likely repaired in 1028 during the reign of King Hyeonjong), at the Jeongrimsa Temple site in Buyeo. It also reflects elements found in the flagpole supports from the Cheonheungsa Temple site in Cheonan. The sculpting techniques used in these patterns are also similar. Such congruencies suggest that the Dongsa-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda was built in the eleventh century. The Dongsa-ri Temple Site in Buyeo, located near the Geumgang River, served as a principal route for transporting grain-tax during the Goryeo Dynasty. It was also situated along the way to the Goryeo royal temple, Gaetaesa Temple. The geographical significance of the site and the extensive repairs undertaken at Jeongrimsa Temple during the reign of King Hyeonjong (r. 1009-1031) of the Goryeo Dynasty appear to have impacted the production of the Dongsa-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda. The Dongsa-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda also bears stylistic resemblances to the stone pagoda and flagpole supports found at neighboring Cheonheungsa Temple, which is presumed to be related to the establishment of Honggyeongsa (or Honggyeongwon) Temple in 1021 in Cheonan. This indicates the route of the transmission of the Kaesong pagoda style. The Five-story Stone Pagoda from the Dongsa-ri Temple Site pays testimony to the cultural accomplishments of eleventh-century stone artworks in Buyeo and adjacent regions. This pagoda embodies the majestic and assertive aesthetics that define of the Goryeo Dynasty, as do early Goryeo colossal Buddhist sculptures, including the Stone Standing Maitreya Bodhisattva at Daejosa Temple in Buyeo, the Stone Standing Buddha Triad at Gaetaesa Temple in Nonsan, and the Stone Standing Maitreya Bodhisattva at Gwanchoksa Temple in Nonsan. All of these bear similarities to the massive stone lantern and pagoda at Hyeonhwasa Temple in the capital Kaesong. The production of the light, sleek, sharp, and sophisticated Dongsa-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda is presumed to reflect the maturity of the cultural competence of the people in Dongsa-ri, Buyeo under the influence of Buddhist culture from the capital Kaesong during the eleventh century, a time marked by active cultural exchanges among regions.

This study aims to identify and analyze how the No Gun Ri massacre records are incorporated in social memory. As a theoretical study, it discusses the characteristics of social records. First, they are social products that have an influence on personal memory. Second, they reflect variability of memory. Third, they can be used in proving an event. To analyze the memory and records of the No Gun Ri massacre, this study overviews the outline of the killings and divides it into three eras: countermemory era, memory struggle era, and formal memory era. Furthermore, this study reviews the transformation process and characteristics of each era. The representative records produced in each era are as follows: oral, and personal records in the first period; records related to committee activities, legislative activities, and research activities in the second period; and official records on the special law, and the construction and operation of a peace park in the third period. The third period shows the scalability of the records through a variety of cultural records production to remember the No Gun Ri incident.
