To achieve this purpose, this study used qualitative panel data collected from in-depth interviews and analysed the data through an inductive approach. Specifically, a researcher analysed the context of individual cases, and visualized the contexts comprised of phenomenon and participants' experiences. The researcher, also, comprised the integrated context by continuous individual and complicated analysis. As results, the researcher found that the level of happiness that low-income households have experienced was more directly related with subjective experiences than objective status. In addition, the participants' subjective experiences were comprised of very complicated components of experience, and the level of happiness could differ depending on how individuals perceived positive experiences and negative ones. Based on these findings, researcher proposed the guidelines for social welfare policy and practice to improve the level of low-income households' happiness.

  • This study assessed the manner in which social activities, religious experiences, and spiritual practices related to depression and life satisfaction among 217 Korean elderly individuals, aged 65 to 80. The Social Activities Scale and Brief Multidimensional Measure of Religiosity/Spirituality were employed to assess social activities and six domains of religiosity/spirituality: daily spiritual experiences, values, forgiveness, private religious practice, religious/spiritual coping, and religious support. In addition, depression was assessed with the Geriatric Depression Scale, and life satisfaction with the Satisfaction with Life Scale. After controlling for demographic variables, lower depression scores were predicted by higher levels of religious and spiritual coping, social activities, higher income, and ower daily spiritual experiences. In addition, identifying as female, advanced old age, and lower social activities predicted lower life satisfaction in this study. The implications of this study's findings on social work practice are also discussed, along with some future research directions.

  • This study conducted a questionnaire survey on 155 dental hygienists in Busan, Gyeongnam to understand the effect of dental hygienists' job identity on job retention. The study was conducted after being reviewed by the Research Ethics Review Committee (1041449-201912-HR-003). For data analysis, hierarchical regression analysis was carried out to check the effect of three details of job identity on job retention step by step. As a result, among the details of job identity, there was an influence on job retention in the order of empathy for the job (β=.358, p<.001), relationship between job and individual (β=.562, p<.001), and work and unity (β=.562, p<.001). Therefore, it is judged that it would be helpful to maintain a job if the educational institution with the Department of Dental Hygiene conducts classes on occupational identity in a more comprehensive sense.

  • I have empirically investigated the relationship between work-family facilitation and perceived team performance and the moderating effect of wellness climate between work-family facilitation and perceived team performance. For testing hypothesis, hierarchical linear regression was conducted. The results of analysis are followings; hypothesis 1, work-family facilitation is positively related to perceived team performance, was significantly supported. Hypothesis 2, wellness climate moderates the association between work-family facilitation and perceived team performance. The results imply that when the HR practitioners design job and welfare program of employees should consider work-family facilitation. Additionally, to improve the performance of organization should consider not only work-family facilitation but also climate of organization supporting work-family facilitation, wellness climate.

  • This study examines teacher-teacher conflicts in childcare centers, specifically the causes of conflicts and the process of resolution through in-depth interviews in order to provide suggestions for positive conflict resolution. The subjects of the interviews were five working childcare center teachers, and each subject was interviewed three to four times between September 7th and October 4th in 2011. The result of the interview indicates that childcare center teachers perceive the following to be causes of the conflict: hierarchical relationship among teachers; lack of social skills; differences in personal values and educational philosophy; and uncooperative behaviors of teachers. Moreover, each teacher's eagerness to improve relationships and capacity to make appropriate judgment had positive and negative effects on the relationship with colleagues. In sum, childcare center teachers experienced various conflicts between fellow teachers and recognized the importance of sustaining positive relationships through conflicts as well as through the process of conflict resolution.

  • The purpose of present study is to discover the meaning of the Eogul(억울) which is known as a emotion from perceived unfairness. Even though Eogul has been mentioned as a cause of the Hwabyung in Korean culture there were few studies about it. Researchers designed two studies to provide clear understanding for this concept. In study 1, researchers conducted an open-ended questionnaire for 44 participants to deduce the cultural contexts and the whole experience on Eogul. Data were analyzed with grounded theory, the results were cross-checked by different evaluators. According to the analysis, Eogul is not only the negative feelings from the perceived unfairness, but also the motivations and behaviors to resolve the feelings. Especially, what makes Eogul culture-bounded could be related display rules on expressing emotions. We conducted study 2 to clarify the cultural attributes of Eogul in Korean culture. Variables that explain cultural differences were chosen and 123 participants were surveyed with them including the items developed for measuring Eogul. Cultural meanings and implications of Eogul were discussed with the results.

  • In today's military, significant efforts are being made to achieve organizational effectiveness by adapting to the changing characteristics of its members. Currently, South Korea's military organizations, including division-level and below, are primarily composed of the MZ generation, which places great importance on personal satisfaction and values. They believe it is unfair if others do not acknowledge their preferences and opinions. Therefore, there is a need for the military to improve various command methods and organizational culture in line with the characteristics of these organizational members. This study analyzed the characteristics and key elements of mission command in the German military, a militarily advanced country. By examining the case of the German military, we should consider and adopt the adoption of a 'mission command' system that suits the reality of the South Korean military organization, with a focus on the MZ generation, which constitutes the core of our military organization.

  • Most of established study about consumer behavior was directly connected abstract value with concrete purchase behavior, nevertheless several recognizable process is intervened between abstract concept and concept behavior. Of course researchers suggest hierarchical causality through means-end chain model. However empirical study is insufficient. And it's not certain whether the consumer's personal value affects actual evaluation about product attributes. Thus the purpose of this paper was to explore hierarchical causality of personal value, benefits sought and clothing product attributes and to suggest an alternative approach method. For the empircial study the data sets were collected through 150 female consumers living in Pusan and SAS and LISREL VIII were used for statistical analysis. As the result, hierarchical causality suggested by means-end chain model was positively substantiated. That is, benefits sought is differentiated according to personal value, and actual product attributes are indirectly influenced by personal value through benefits sought. Benefits sought are found to be key mediating variables.

Results: The results were as follows: First, both autonomy and relatedness satisfaction were positively related to adolescents' well-being. Second, Collectivistic-Individualistic value moderated the associations. Especially, only for collectivism oriented adolescents, the positive effect of autonomy satisfaction on psychological well-being was significant when their relatedness satisfaction was high. Conclusion: The findings suggest the importance of both autonomy and relatedness satisfaction in predicting psychological well-being of adolescents and underscore the moderating role of cultural values.
