A Study on the Implementation of a Knowledge Management System Based on Groupware (그룹웨어를 이용한 지식관리시스템의 구현에 관한 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the implementation of a Knowledge Management System, which helps an organization to share information. Beginning with an overview of the theoretical concepts and types of Knowledge Management System, this paper goes on to describe related information technologies in detail. This paper then proceeds to evaluate the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy's (KIEP) Research Management System as a model, analyzing the purpose, system framework and operation. This study then concludes that in general existing information technologies are sufficient for an organization to build an efficient Knowledge Management System. However, the majority of individuals are currently not fully aware of the importance of sharing individual knowledge and information throughout an organization. Until this reluctance and ignorance is overcome the process of expanding the Knowledge Management System will be a slow and arduous endeavor.

  • 최근 우리는 인접학문 간 그리고 학계와 산업계 간의 연구협조가 점차 증가하고 있음을 보아오고 있다. 이러한 현상은 특히 학술저널 간 지식의존성을 촉진하는 계기를 제공하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 관련저널 간 지식상호 의존성을 규명하고 저널지식의 구조화를 위하여 association, 군집화, 링크분석 등 데이터마이닝 기법을 적용하는 방법론을 제시하는 것이다. 제시된 방법을 통하여 기대되는 점들은 1) 논문의 기본속성인 키워드, 저자, 그리고 인용데이터를 통합하는 규칙 집합을 통하여 논문지식검색기능의 향상, 2) 키워드를 기반으로 관련 저널 간 그리고 저널내부의 군집분석으로 지식동향 파악, 3) Kleinberg (1999)의 권위와 허브 개념을 인용데이터 분석에 활용하여 기존의 양적 평가 기준인 영향력 지수 (impact factor)의 문제점을 보완하며, 4) 특정 논문이나 저널의 지식파급과 관련한 영향력을 산출하는 잠재적 지식파급 지수를 제안하는 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 시간 개념이 포함된 역사적 지식을 표현할 수 있는 사건 온톨로지(event ontology) 기반의 역사 온톨로지 모형인 Y-HisOnto 를 제안한다. 제안한 역사 온톨로지 모형은 기존의 온톨로지에서 사용되는 이진 관계(binary-relationship)로 표현된 단편적 지식들을 조합하여 다진 관계(n-ary relationship)를 이용하여 역사적 사건 관련 지식을 표현한다. 제안한 온톨로지 모형에 기반하여 사건 중심의 지식을 온톨로지로 구축하고, 사건 관련 질의에 대해 온톨로지 논리 검색 실험을 수행함으로써 제안한 온톨로지 모형이 Q&A 시스템에서 효과적으로 활용될 수 있음을 확인한다.

  • Knowledge Ecosystem은 지식이 자연생태계와 유사한 속성을 가지고 있다는 가정과 관점으로부터 출발한다. 이는 지식과 지식 그리고 이를 생성하고 활용하는 주체와 주체가 생태계의 복잡한 네트워크로 연결되어 다양한 진화와 소멸의 과정을 거치는 과정으로 이해하고 이를 현실세계에 반영하여 긍정적 측면에서 지식을 확대재생산하거나 강화하고 부정적 측면을 약화시키는 과정으로 이해할 수 있다. 이러한 과정은 인위적 개입이나 통제보다는 생태계의 자연스러운 현상에 기반하여 이를 활성화하는데 근본적인 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술정보를 활용하여 연구개발을 수행하고 이를 통해 신제품개발 및 사업화를 수행하는 과학기술정보 커뮤니티에 Knowledge Ecosystem을 개발, 적용한 사례를 중심으로 시스템의 개념과 성과에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

Adaptive Learning System based on the Concept Lattice of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA 개념 망에 기반을 둔 적응형 학습 시스템)

  • Along with the transformation of the knowledge-based environment, e-learning has become a main teaching and learning method, prompting various research efforts to be conducted in this field. One major research area in e-learning involves adaptive learning systems that provide personalized learning content according to each learner's characteristics by taking into consideration a variety of learning circumstances. Active research on ontology-based adaptive learning systems has recently been conducted to provide more efficient and adaptive learning content. In this paper, we design and propose an adaptive learning system based on the concept lattice of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) with the same objectives as those of ontology approaches. However, we are in pursuit of a system that is suitable for learning of specific domains and one that allows users to more freely and easily build their own adaptive learning systems. The proposed system automatically classifies the learning objects and concepts of an evolved domain in the structure of a concept lattice based on the relationships between the objects and concepts. In addition, the system adaptively constructs and presents the learning structure of the concept lattice according to each student's level of knowledge, learning style, learning preference and the learning state of each concept.

An Exploration of Discrepancies between Text and Content Knowledge of Pre-service Elementary Teachers through an Analysis of Questions and Answers Created in the Interactive Reading of a Teacher's Guide: Focusing on a 'Shadow and Mirror' Unit (상호작용적 독해 과정에서 생성된 질문과 답변의 분석을 통한 교사용 지도서와 초등예비교사의 내용지식 사이의 불일치 탐색 -'그림자와 거울' 단원을 중심으로)

  • This study explored the discrepancy between the text of a teacher's guide about straight and reflective light and the content knowledge of pre-service elementary teachers. A total of 455 questions and 543 answers generated by 279 pre-service elementary teachers after reading a 'Shadow and Mirror' unit in the teacher's guide were analyzed. The questions were classified according to the types of concepts and discrepancies, and the answers were analyzed for accuracy. The results of analyzing the concepts of questions revealed that the pre-service elementary teachers were most curious about the shadow in the straight concept, the mirror image in the reflection concept, and the light source in other concepts. The questions with a low correct answer rate due to incorrect- or non-answers, such as those concerning the superposition principle of light by reflection, the principle of experimental tools, and images by lenses, were only partially or not included in the teacher's guide. When the questions were classified according to the type of discrepancy, the frequency of questions due to knowledge deficit was higher than that due to knowledge clash. This demonstrates that the concepts that teachers need to know must be supplemented with the contents of the teacher's guide. Discrepancies due to knowledge clashes are often caused by conflicts between what is experienced in everyday life and what is presented in textbooks. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the discrepancy between the texts of the teacher's guide and the knowledge of pre-service elementary teachers by including the differences between the actual context of everyday life and the context of the textbook in the teacher's guide.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of average unit learning on the knowledge of the representative value of 5th grade elementary school students. In the information-oriented society, the ability to organize and summarize the data has become an essential resource. In the process of correctly analyzing statistical data and making reasonable decisions, the summary of the data plays an important role, and it is necessary to learn the concept of representative values in order to describe the center of the data in a series of numbers. For research, an informal knowledge type possessed by a fifth grade elementary school student with respect to a representative value before learning an average unit is examined and compared with the representative value after learning the average unit. A suggestion point for representative value guidance in school mathematics is provided while examining the change in knowledge with respect to the representative value. Seeing the informal types of elementary school students' representative values will help them learn how to formalize the concept of representative values in middle and high schools. It will give suggestions about the concept of representative values and the method of instruction that should be dealt with in elementary schools. The informal knowledge about the representative value can help with formal representative value that will be learned later. Therefore, This study's discussions on statistical learning of elementary school students are expected to present meaningful implications for statistical education.

Developing Conceptual Model of Axiom Database for Semantic Search (시멘틱 검색을 위한 공리(axiom) 데이터베이스 구축의 개념적 모델)

  • 팀 버너스 리에 의해 '시멘틱 웹'은 1998년 제안되었으나 현재 새롭게 생성되고 있는 데이터 혹은 자연어 형식의 데이터를 시멘틱 검색을 위해 활용하기에는 아직까지 온톨로지 데이터베이스가 따라가지 못하고 있다. 이를 위해 온톨로지 구축의 구성요소인 공리(axiom)를 공공을 위한 데이터로 개발하여 시멘틱 검색에 활용하는 개념적 모델을 제안한다. 공리 데이터베이스는 단일 도메인에서 벗어난 시멘틱 검색을 위한 데이터베이스로서 도메인 온톨로지 구축에 기본적인 요소들을 제공하고, 이용자들이 시멘틱 검색을 통해 보다 만족한 정보검색을 할 수 있도록 한다. 또한 온톨로지 데이터를 확보하기 위해 정보생산자로부터 사전어휘에 대한 온톨로지 트리플을 생성하는 실험을 하였다. 온톨로지 자동구축에 대한 연구와 개발이 활발하지만 보편적 시멘틱 검색을 위해 정보생산자와 정보관리자가 많은 부분 데이터를 생성하고 검증해야할 필요가 있다.

Effect of Board Game Design Activity for Environmental Education on High School Students' Environmental Knowledge, Environmental Literacy and Creative Engineering Problem Solving Propensity (환경교육용 보드게임 디자인 활동이 고등학생들의 환경적 지식, 환경 소양과 창의 공학적 문제해결 성향에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a board game design activity for environmental education and to investigate how it affects high school students' environmental knowledge, environmental literacy, and creative engineering problem solving propensity. Twenty-five freshman and sophomore students belonging to the environmental club participated in this study. The board game activity was designed as 10 class hours lessons based on the engineering design process. The main data source of this study was pre-post students' conceptual maps of the environmental topics (global warming or ecosystem destruction) to measure the background knowledge on the topic. In addition, the environmental literacy measurement questionnaire and the creative engineering problem solving propensity questionnaire were collected before and after the activity. The result shows that the number of environment-related words described by the students on the post-concept map increased compared to the pre-concept map. In addition, the environmental literacy score and the creative engineering problem-solving propensity score increased significantly after performing the board game design activity. The results show that environmental lessons using board game design activities can help student develop various competencies in a good way. As above, research that combines board games and secondary education must be activated, and a new educational method and systemic support for in-service teachers who want to apply it to science classroom is required.
