A study on Influencing Factors of Knowledge Creation focus on Transactive Memory (지식성장의 영향요인에 관한 연구-분산기억중심으로)

  • As an empirical study focused on how transactive memory concept influence the four processes of knowledge growth, this study aimed at explaining the function of transactive memory in the dynamic process of knowledge growth. To verify the research model, this study carried out a path analysis of 130 team memebers and as a result, part of the team transactive memory measurements does affect the knowledge growth. Consequentially, transactive memory especially based on team level, is relevant with knowledge growth. According to team level, this study targeted at the team members, and by adopting the team transactive memory concept in Cognitive Psycology, theoretically explained and analysed how to approach personal knowledge in internal organizations. To accelerate the knowledge process, the work should be modified collaboratively by trusting the team members' duty relations more than specialized knowledge. Furthermore, managers had better assign team members the work where they can make the most of their personal knowledge, and this study presented that the whole team performance could be improved by doing that.

The Conceptual Study of Knowledge Adoption based on Resource and Institutionalization Theory for Organizational Knowledge Creation Applied to Knowledge Management Systems (지식 원천 이론과 제도적 이론 관점에서 조직의 지식 수용과 창출에 관한 개념적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study are as follows : First, This study conceptually provide an insight of reasons that organizations seek to create, acquire, store and distribute knowledge at the level of an organization and of process how they can transform or evolve to knowledge based organizations. Second, this study confirms examine what theories can be used to knowledge management, how such theories can be useful to analyse knowledge management and provide a theoretical foundation for knowledge management research. Applied to the theories of knowledge based and resource based view and institutional theory, the essence of knowledge management confirms that the organization finds job-related knowledge and know-how retained by individual of organizational members systematically and shares common knowledge within the organization and explains knowledge creation, multi-dimensional knowledge transition and share in all dimension of individual, group, and organization. As a result of comparative analysis of theory of organizational knowledge creation theory, In knowledge management, building of knowledge-creative culture, transitional process of explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge, knowledge creation and knowledge operation are important. In the basis on these study results, we discussed how the organizational knowledge creation theory can be used to manage knowledge in the organization, and also proposed hypotheses based on some arguments against the universal acceptance of the theory.

  • This introductory review study sought to conceptualize elementary school teachers' pedagogical content knowledge in science teaching (science PCK) by reinterpreting 11 science PCK research papers published in the Korean Journal Database from 2012 to 2023 based on the synthesized perspective of the model of teacher professional knowledge and skill (Consensus Model) proposed at the first PCK Summit in 2012 and the Revised Consensus Model (RCM) proposed at the second PCK Summit in 2016. Elementary teachers' science PCK was mainly analyzed based on Magnusson et al.'s (1999) PCK elements and described as the form of enacted PCK or personal PCK at the subject or discipline level. Personal PCK studies, which involved emotional factors, included the features of collective PCK from the RCM perspective. It was inferred that elementary school teachers' science PCK needs to be conceptualized by comprehensively considering the enacted PCK through individual teacher experiences and the collective PCK and personal PCK defined by experts.

Knowledge-based Video Retrieval System Using Korean Closed-caption (한국어 폐쇄자막을 이용한 지식기반 비디오 검색 시스템)

  • The content-based retrieval using low-level features can hardly provide the retrieval result that corresponds with conceptual demand of user for intelligent retrieval. Video includes not only moving picture data, but also audio or closed-caption data. Knowledge-based video retrieval is able to provide the retrieval result that corresponds with conceptual demand of user because of performing automatic indexing with such a variety data. In this paper, we present the knowledge-based video retrieval system using Korean closed-caption. The closed-caption is indexed by Korean keyword extraction system including the morphological analysis process. As a result, we are able to retrieve the video by using keyword from the indexing database. In the experiment, we have applied the proposed method to news video with closed-caption generated by Korean stenographic system, and have empirically confirmed that the proposed method provides the retrieval result that corresponds with more meaningful conceptual demand of user.

An Exploratory Study on Applications of Semantic Web through the Technical Limitation Factors of Knowledge Management Systems (지식경영시스템의 기술적 한계요인분석을 통한 시맨틱 웹의 적용에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • Knowledge management is a core factor to achieve competitive advantage and improve the business performance. New information technology is also a core factor enabling the innovation of knowledge management. Semantic Web of which the goal is to realize machine-processable Web can't help affecting the knowledge management. Therefore, we empirically analyze the relationship between user's dissatisfaction and barriers or limitations of knowledge management and present methods allowing Semantic Web to overcome the limitations and to support knowledge management processes. Based on a questionnaire survey of 222 respondents, we found that the limitations of system qualities such as user inconvenience of knowledge management systems, search and integration limitations, and the limitations of knowledge qualities such as inappropriateness and untrust significantly affected the user dissatisfaction of knowledge management systems. Finally, we suggest a conceptual model of knowledge management systems of which components are resources, metadata, ontologies, and user & query layers.

  • 포지인식도(Fuzzy Cognitive Map : FCM)는 추상적이고 비구조적이며 동적인 응용영역에서 전문가의 인과관계 지식(causal knowledge)을 표현하는데 매우 유용한 도구이다. FCM이 기존의 다른 네트워크 형태의 지식표현방법과 다른 차이점은 대상 문제의 개념변수들을 퍼지집합으로 묘사하고, 개념 변수간의 관계를 퍼지 인과관계로 다룬다는 것이다. 그런데 FCM의 특성이 아직 충분히 논의되지 않은 상태에서는 FCM의 적용에 있어 오류가 일어날 수 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 첫째, FCM의 특성과 의미를 보다 명확히 하여 이론적인 측면을 보강하고자 한다. 이를 위해 논리적관계(implication)와는 다른 인과관계의 정의를 다시 확인하고, 이정의에 기초한 퍼지 인과관계의 특성을 파악하고, 퍼지 인과관계와 대비되는 퍼지 부분인과관계 및 단방향 개념변수를 새로이 정의함으로써 FCM구축에 있어 잘못된 이해가 없게 하며, 둘째, FCM에서는 추론 방식이 갖추어야 할 원칙을 명시하고 이에 따라 이러한 원칙을 준수하는 새로운 추론 방식을 제시한다.

  • 온톨로지는 의미적인 지식을 표현하고, 공유하기 위해서 여러 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있으며, 특히 시멘틱 웹의 상호운용성을 해결할 수 있는 중요한 요소로 자리 잡고 있다. 현재 온톨로지의 구축을 지원하는 다양한 도구들과 방법론들이 제시되고 있지만, 실제 구축되어진 온톨로지가 실용적이고, 도메인의 정보를 정확하게 반영했는지 검증할 수 있는 도구나 방법은 매우 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 OWL언어로 구축되어진 온톨로지의 소스로부터 온톨로지의 주요 요소들을 추출하여 형식개념분석(Formal Concept Analysis)모델로 변환하고 분석함으로써, 온톨로지에 포함된 구조적인 문제점을 파악할 수 있는 방법과 도구에 대해서 설명한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 온톨로지 분석도구를 사용하면, 구축되어진 온톨로지에 포함된 구조적 오류 및 온톨로지의 구조를 수월하게 파악할 수 있고, 온톨로지 구축작업 및 수정보완에 있어서 더 좋은 개념계층구조를 갖는 온톨로지를 제안할 수 있다.

  • This paper investigates knowledge management architecture which is related to the efficient storage, search, and retrieval of knowledge. It is important considerations that should be taken account in any knowledge management system. This study reviews literature and practices of the theory of current status of knowledge management architecture (KMA). Based on the review of the current practice, the characteristics and emphasis of the KMA applications are identified. It tries to suggest how the KMA should facilitate for effective and desirable directions of the KMA.

Analysis of Secondary Students' Causal Explanation about a Genetic Phenomena (중학생들의 유전 현상에 대한 인과적 설명 글쓰기 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the knowledge and ability levels of middle school students in four areas: conceptual understanding, argument construction, justification schemes, and use of scientific knowledge in a causal explanation for a genetic phenomenon. A group of 162 middle school students who have taken a class titled Genetics and Evolution participated in the study. Each student answered-and justified the answer to-one question pertaining to genetics. Ability levels were rated from level 0 to level 4, with 4 being the top rating. Students were required to choose one of two competing arguments to explain whether green seed pimps and red seed pimps of the same size and shape were the same species or not. Analyzing conceptual understanding: 47% of the respondents provided the correct answer. Analyzing their abilities for constructing an argument: 75% of the students with the correct answer and 42% of the students with the incorrect answer were evaluated to be at ability level 3 or 4 for argument construction. Analyzing the students' justification schemes: "Scientific idea" and "Analogy" were the most frequently used schemes. Analyzing their use of scientific knowledge: of the students who selected the scientific idea justification scheme, 36% used the correct scientific knowledge, but the remainder used inaccurate or nonspecific scientific knowledge. These findings provide implication for encouraging argumentative writing explaining scientific phenomena regarding epistemic practice.
