This thesis covers legal aspects of the crypto-currency exchange and the legal rights of crypto-currencies holders. Unlike financial markets in which central authorities or intermediaries determine the validity of transactions and manage records, crypto-currency markets utilize a decentralization system based on block chain technology. Such distinct characteristics distinguish crypto-currency from currency, notes, or financial instruments. Therefore, we need to check closely the legal principles that are applicable to crypto-currency. Crypto-currency users possess rights indirectly through the crypto-currency exchange. However, we should look at whether crypto-currency can be an object of ownership. This research found that legal protection for crypto-currency exchanges are limited. Domestic laws have many shortcomings to protect users' rights. This study found that users who incurred damages due to internet computation errors at exchanges require a protective system like stock markets. Therefore, studies on the legal controls and system regulations are required to protect users' rights. Also, crypto-currency information exchanges keep inside and protections for users' private information need to be further examined.

This study presents aspects of the financing of terrorism using virtual-currencies. Fisrt of all, this introduces the conventional threat of the financing of terrorism and the analysis of current legal system regarding virtual-currency in South Korea. Next, the financing of terrorism cases are analyzed. With given analysis, the paper deals with its response and future extensions by technical and institutional aspects. The threats of the financing of terrorism are going higher after the appearance of virtual-currencies such as Bitcoin. There are two typical ways to use virtual-currencies by terrorist groups. One is to conduct public fund-raising in the social network system and the dark web. The other is to hack into virtual-currency exchange network in order to steal virtual currencies for developing the weapon of mass destruction. Specifically South Korea is top three country of trading virtual currencies and has been subject to virtual-currency hacking more than 10 cases. However, many countries including South Korea deal with virtual currencies as only innovative technology and means of investment, not the threats of the financing of terrorism. Under these circumstances, there a the legal contradiction. This article points this limit and absurdity. Also, it shows reasonable alternatives. All in all, given these aspects, the article proposes detailed policy directions.

With the growth of blockchain and cryptocurrency-related markets, cryptocurrency exchanges are growing as a new industry. However, as the legal and regulatory definitions of cryptocurrencies are still in progress, unlike existing industrial groups, they are not under the supervision of regulatory agencies. As a result, users (i.e., cryptocurrency investors) have suffered two types of damage that could occur from hacking and other accidents on the exchanges. One type of the damage is the loss of assets caused by the extortion of personal information or account and the other is the damage from users who might be involved in external frauds. Both are analyzed in comparison with existing operators whose functions are like the exchanges. The results of this study show that membership (KYC: Know Your Client), log-in, and additional authentication in transactions are on the similar level to those of the operators while the fraud detection system (FDS) and anti-money laundering (AML) of fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies need rapid improvement.

본 논문에서는 2018년에 성횡한 악성코드에 대한 피해 사례를 살펴본 후 이를 적극적으로 대응하기 위한 방안을 살펴본다. 특히 가상통화 거래소에 대한 해킹 사고 및 가상화폐에 대한 지속적인 해킹 시도가 탐지되면서 관련 소식들이 언론에 지속적으로 보도되었다. 또한 이와 관련하여 PC 및 서버 자원을 몰래 훔쳐 가상통화 채굴에 사용하는 크립토재킹 공격기법도 함께 주목받았다. 랜섬웨어 부문은 갠드크랩 관련 보도가 대부분을 차지할 정도로 국내에서 지속적으로 이슈가 되었다. 또한 미국 법무부에서 최초로 북한 해커조직의 일원을 재판에 넘기면서 해커 그룹에 대한 관심이 집중되기도 했다. 2018년 전반적으로 이러한 가상통화 거래소 해킹, 크립토재킹, 랜섬웨어, 해커 그룹의 4가지 키워드를 도출하였으며, 이 중 해커 그룹은 북한과 중국의 경우를 나누어 총 5가지 주제를 통해 악성코드에 대한 주요 이슈들을 살펴본다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 악성코드의 공격을 근본적으로 해결할 수 있는 방안으로 클라이언트 측에 USB형태의 BBS(Big Bad Stick) 하드웨어를 통하여 제안하는 환경을 제안하고 안전한 서비스가 제공됨을 증명하여 본 연구가 새로운 보안성을 갖춘 시스템임을 보인다.

본 논문에서는 차세대 이동통신 시스템으로 개발되고 있는 HMm시스템의 3계층 프로토콜 전송절차 검증 및 SIP기반의 VoIP서비스 및 웹브라우징 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 가상 단말을 설계하고 구현하였다. 현재 구현된 가상단말은 SIP서비스를 위한 UA기능과 웹 브라우징 기능을 포함하고 있으며, UA간의 직접적인 통화 기능 및 Proxy를 이용한 통화 기능, 그리고 웹 브라우징 기능을 시험하였다. 향후 개발된 가상단말을 바탕으로 보다 확장된 SIP헤더를 처리하고 HMm 3계층 프로토콜을 세부적으로 검증할 수 있는 기능을 추가할 예정이다.

가상화폐는 법정통화가 금융위기나 통화정책 등에 심각하게 영향을 받아 발생하는 문제점으로 시작하여 국가나 신용기관에 독립적인 전자지급결제시스템을 갖추는 것을 목표로 등장하게 되었다. 대표적인 가상화폐인 비트코인은 국제적인 유통수단으로 활용되고 있으며, 일부 국가에서는 납세 및 기타 법률과 같은 규제를 통해 관리되고 있을 정도로 영향력이 있는 가상화폐이다. 본 연구에서는 비트코인의 개념 및 현 상황에 대해서 분석한 후, 모바일 환경에서 채굴되는 M-Bitcoin을 제안하였다. 그리고 M-Bitcoin이 암호통화로써의 가치를 가질 수 있도록 신뢰성 확보를 위한 기술을 적용하고, 차후 현실에서 서비스되는 과정에 대해 연구하였다.

Although it is relatively difficult to eavesdrop the commonly used PSTN in that it is connected with direct circuit, it is difficult to ensure the secret of call on Internet because many users can connect to the Internet at the same time. However, it is needed to ensure secret of voice call in a special situation. Due to the fact that many users can connect to the internet at the same time, VoIP can always be in a defenseless state by hackers. Therefore, in this paper, we have developed the increased voice security internet telephone terminal and measured conversation quality by adopting VPN PPTP based on SIP and using tunnel method in transmitting voice data to prevent eavesdrop of internet telephone.

Although the fintech industry is developing rapidly around the world, the domestic development situation is rather slow compared to the speed. Therefore, the future development direction can be set by analyzing the current status of the fintech industry in order to suggest the direction of development in the domestic fintech industry. The main services provided by companies belonging to the domestic fintech industry are in the areas of remittance settlement, financial investment, asset management, crowdfunding, P2P finance, overseas remittance, fintech SI, insurtech, virtual currency, security, and authentication. It is divided into. This study identifies the main technologies used in the service and grasps the current domestic status. In addition, it analyzes the distribution of workers by each service. This study is expected to play an important role in the development of the financial industry through technical analysis of fintech companies.
