Quantifying Naval Power and Its Implications (해군력의 정량화와 함의)

  • 이 논문의 목적은 해군력 개량화를 소개하고 그 활용에 대하여 제안함에 있다. 어떻게 하면 여러 국가 간의 다양한 분쟁에 대한 해군력의 효과를 효과적으로 이해할 수 있을까? 혹은, 어떻게 하면 다양한 해군력의 나라별, 시간별 변화를 이해를 할 수 있을까? 지금까지 많은 학자들이 해군력의 변화와 그 변화에 따른 해군력이 분쟁에 미치는 영향을 규명하려고 많은 노력을 해왔다. 그 중의 한 방법이 정성적인 방법이나 아직 정량적인 시도는 매우 적다. 이 글은 해군력을 정량화하는 방법과 그 데이터를 이용하여 여러 기존 이론을 검증하고 여러 다른 연구주제를 연구하는데 어떻게 이용이 될 것인지를 소개를 하는 글이다. 본 논문의 주요 쟁점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 계량화적 접근이란 무엇인가에 대해 논의 해 본다. 계량화란 무엇이며 정성적인 방법과의 차이는 무엇인지를 통해 정량화의 이용 가치에 대해 논의해 본다. 둘째, 해군력의 정량화이다. 해군력의 정량화를 위해 어떠한 기준들을 세우고, 그 기준에 따라 함정들을 코딩하고 톤수를 세는 과정을 설명한다. 셋째, 정량화된 해군력을 바탕으로 동북아시아 국가들의 해군력 변화를 서술적으로 분석한다. 이제 주어진 해군력 데이터(주요 함정의 톤수)를 가지고 각 동북아 국가별 시간별로 어떠한 변화를 거처 왔고, 각 분쟁들 (1,2차 세계대전 등)에는 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 단순통계적 방법을 이용하여 알아본다. 넷째, 해군력의 변화가 경쟁국가 간의 전쟁 발발에 있어서 어떤 영향을 미치는 지에 대하여 통계적인 방법을 이용하여 검증해 본다. 묘사적인 방법은 다른 요소들에 대한 통제가 이루어 지지 않아, 정확히 해군력과 경쟁국가 간의 전쟁에 대한 인과적인 관계를 증명하기에는 한계가 있다. 따라서, 다른 경쟁적 이론들을 (예를 들어 민주평화론 등) 통제하여 해군력이 숙적국가 간의 전쟁 발발에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 상호 해군력의 증가는 경쟁국가 간에는 전쟁을 덜 일으키는 요인으로 작용하였으며, 이는 해군력이 경쟁국가 간에는 억제력이 있다고 추론 할 수 있다. 궁극적으로 해군력의 영향에 대한 정량적인 접근은 기존 연구의 검증, 미래 예측, 국가의 정책결정자들에게 보다 신뢰가 가는 자료를 제공하는 장점들이 있다. 이러한 장점들을 바탕으로 해군력의 영향에 대한 연구는 분쟁분야에 있어서 학술적이나 실용적인 측면에서 많은 이점이 있다.

Convergence Study on Mediating Effect of Clinical Competence on the Relationship between Grit and Retention Intention among New Graduate Nurses (신규간호사의 그릿과 재직의도의 관계에서 임상수행능력의 매개효과에 대한 융복합적 연구)

  • This study was conducted to examinate the mediating effect of clinical competence on the relationship between grit and retention intention among new graduate nurses. Participants were 232 nurses working at hospitals with over 300 beds in Korea. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression following the Baron and Kenny method and Sobel test for mediation. As a result, There were significant relationships between grit and clinical competence(r=.38, p=.011), grit and retention intention(r=.32, p=.016), and clinical competence and retention intention(r=.33, p<.001). Clinical competence showed partial mediating effect in the relationship between grit and retention intention(z=3.14, p<.001). The results of this study suggest that interventions enhancing grit would be useful to improve retention intention of new graduate nurses.

Analysis of Convergence Factors Affecting Service Quality of among Caregivers in Elderly Care Facilities (노인요양시설 요양보호사의 서비스 질에 미치는 융합적 요인의 분석)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact on service quality of caregivers. 200 caregivers in 6 elderly care facilities located in J city were instructed to answer structure questionnaires, and the collected data was analyzed by T-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis. The results of the study show significant differences in service quality depending on their religion, education level, form of employment, employment period, health status, and access to staff lounge. Work environment shows positive correlation to service quality, whereas job stress shows negative correlation. Variables shown to affect service quality are, from the most powerful to the least, human environment, physical environment, form of employment, employment period, and education level with explanatory power of 42.6%. The results of the study suggest the need for putting in individual effort and improving work environment specifically to unique characteristics of each institution and looking into various ways to intervene in financial support policies in order to promote service quality of caregivers.

Influencing Factors of Knowledge Related to Disease, Job Stress and Self-Esteem on Teacher Efficacy for Childcare Teacher (보육교사의 질병관련 지식, 직무 스트레스, 자아존중감이 교사효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is to explore degree of childcare teacher's teacher efficacy and the factors influencing of knowledge related to disease, self-esteem and job stress on teacher efficacy of those surveyed. A descriptive study was conducted with a survey of 257 childcare teacher in G city. The data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Hierarchial multiple regression using SPSS WIN/21.0 program. The mean score of the was teacher efficacy $78.70{\pm}8.28$. The teacher efficacy was had a positive correlation with self-esteem (r=.493 p<.001) and a negative correlation with job stress(r=-.247, p<.001). But the teacher efficacy was had a not correlation with knowledge related to disease. (r=.046, p=.257) The result of the hierarchial regression indicated that self-esteem, job stress and position explained 30.0% of variance in teacher efficacy. The result suggest that it is necessary to interventional strategies to promote teacher efficacy for childcare teacher in childcare centers to improve teacher efficacy.

Personal types, Ego-resilience, and College Adaptation in Nursing and Health Care related Students (간호·보건계열 대학생의 성격유형, 자아탄력성 및 대학생활적응)

  • The aim of this study was to describe Enneagram personality types, ego-resilience and to investigate the effects of ego-resilience on college adaptation in nursing and health care related students. The subjects were 623 students in 1st and 2nd grade. The data were collected from October 7 to 23, 2014 and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, multiple regression with SPSS 19.0. A positive correlation was found ego-resilience and college adaptation with Enneagram personality types. Personality type 4 and 5 in Enneagram were the lowest level in ego-resilience and college adaptation. The strongest predictor of college adaptation was optimistic attitude in ego-resilience. Optimistic attitude, confidence, emotional control, and academic grades were explained 61.6% of the college adaptation based on multiple regression analysis. These findings indicate that it is necessary to increase ego-resilience according to Enneagram personality types for positive college adaptation.

The Effect of Self-Esteem and Depression on Smartphone Addiction among University Students (대학생의 자아존중감, 우울이 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effect of self-esteem and depression on smartphone addiction among university students. A descriptive correlation study design was used with a convenience sample consisting of 349 university students. SPSS Win21.0 program was used for the descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis, and multiple-regression analysis. The significant factors for Smartphone addiction were spent time on smartphone, improve test score, and depression. These factors explained 28% of the variance in Smartphone addiction. In conclusion, the results of this study indicated that for university students with smartphone addiction and depression, there is a need to develop an intervention program to prevent smartphone addiction and improve depression. Thus, it is important to provide services to reduce depression among university students.

  • The art appreciation education is emphasized to develope independent thought and upright value decision in the flood of various image medium. A experience of beauty and a express part related with the sentimental field is focused on directing in the seventh arts curriculum, too. Although the art appreciation education is emphasized, just expressive and functional art texture is still taught in the education spot up to now. Also a appreciative activity is limited simply to describe own feeling intuitionally ; time shortage, difficulty of analysis product, difficulty of guiding appreciation. In this paper I refer that analyze figurative factors of a art product, modify it by applying other program, compare with it and then I develope web base art appreciation system and apply it. As a result I get educational effect. When checking line, form, light and darkness, color, feeling, space and composition of external some factors in a product, formative sense and analytical appreciation is improved.

  • In this paper we have presented a two dimensional model based tracking system using improved chamfer matching. Conventional chamfer matching could not calculate similarity well between the object and image when there is very cluttered background. Then we have improved chamfer matching to calculate similarity well even in very cluttered background with edge and corner feature points. Improved chamfer matching is used as likelihood function of particle filter which tracks the geometric object. Geometric model which uses edge and corner feature points, is a discriminant descriptor in color changes. Particle Filter is more non-linear tracking system than Kalman Filter. Then the presented method uses geometric model, particle filter and improved chamfer matching for tracking object in complex environment. In experimental result, the robustness of our system is proved by comparing other methods.

Characteristics of Site Amplification of the Broad-band Seismic Stations in Korea (국내 광대역 지진관측소의 부지증폭 특성)

  • One of the critical factors in accurate determination of earthquake source parameters, and in prediction of seismic hazards is the detailed information related to the site amplification characteristics. The site amplification characteristics of the broad-band seismic stations in Korea were estimated as a function of frequency in the range of 0.2 to 20 Hz. A total of 1275 seismograms recorded from 43 earthquakes observed from 2003 to 2008 in the southern Korean Peninsula were used. It was found that the site amplification ratios for 28 stations estimated from the inversion of the ground motion model were approximately concordant with those obtained from the horizontal-to-vertical (H/V) spectral ratio except for some stations. The spectral site amplification characteristics obtained in this study did not show any considerable spatial distribution. It revealed to be largely correlated with the degree of weathering rather than the basement rock type. Considering the spectral site amplification ratio, 28 broad-band stations were classified into four groups and the characteristics of each group were described in the text.

  • This paper addresses the kinematic study for the structural analysis of the S60ME-C multi-cylinder vessel engine. The load conditions such as the lateral force and the reaction force by the crank-shaft are required for the FEM analysis. The driving parts in vessel engine are assumed to be in frictionless rigid plane motion. We analytically derive dynamic forces for a single cylinder by using the dynamic force equilibrium. But, for the structural analysis for a single cylinder block, we use the loading conditions of two neighboring cylinders. Meanwhile, we use the single cylinder's loading condition to calculate the multi-cylinder's loading conditions, because each cylinder shows a cyclic loading pattern with respect to the crank arm's rotation angle.
