  • This paper investigates the layers of conflicts and the methods of presenting conflicts in Gyechugilgi written by court ladies in the middle of the Choseon Dynasty. The authors deal with court ladies' conflicts and trials with great seriousness. This means that they did not regard these struggles as problems derived from conflicts between King Kwanghae and Queen dowager Inmok. Gyechugilgi represents conflicts by quoting conversations, showing characters meditating conflicts, and describing episodes. Consequently the authors recognized the conflicts in this text as human problems that result from personal desires rather than political problems, and the literary characteristics of this text can be found in this point. This study ascertains the characteristics of Gyechugilgi from various viewpoints.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the development of interactive services and technologies in the media industry. Through the analysis of domestic two-way broadcasting contents service, this study analyzed platform and services type according to service type of terrestrial broadcasting, SO operator and Telco. Also, by identifying the characteristics of interactive programs(open, interactive, personalized, stereoscopic), this study propose important convergence possibilities of the future providers and development plans through supporting technologies and services for each characteristic. In the case of terrestrial broadcasters, ARS, web sites and mobile apps were mostly provided in both directions, and SO and satellite broadcasting operators were found to provide diversity in interactive service operation using data domain. In the case of IPTV companies, most of them provide interactive services with additional video or information service through adjustment button or app, and cable TV operators had more adjustment data broadcasting than exclusive use data broadcasts. Therefore, domestic interactive broadcasting service type needs convergence type of revenue model needs and needs to be converted into new competitive interactive broadcasting program service environment.

  • As performance and feature set of mobile devices are getting better, the scope of things for which they can be used is also getting widened. More than simply browsing information using mobile web, now these devices can interact with users. It requires various features to manage a web site; supporting full-browsing alone is not enough since there are problems such as processing speed, user interface restriction. However, using mobile devices to manage a web site has its own merits since the can be used without restriction of time and location. In this paper, we introduce a mobile web site administration software that provides both online and offline features. It supports CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations for news and users. These operations can be executed both offline and online. A user can do most of things offline; It connects to online only when it's absolutely necessary and does those in batch mode.

  • Using the acoustic features of speech, important social and linguistic information about the speaker can be obtained, and one of the key features is the dialect. A speaker's use of a dialect is a major barrier to interaction with a computer. Dialects can be distinguished at various levels such as phonemes, syllables, words, phrases, and sentences, but it is difficult to distinguish dialects by identifying them one by one. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a lightweight Korean dialect classification model using only MFCC among the features of speech data. We study the optimal method to utilize MFCC features through Korean conversational voice data, and compare the classification performance of five Korean dialects in Gyeonggi/Seoul, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang in eight machine learning and deep learning classification models. The performance of most classification models was improved by normalizing the MFCC, and the accuracy was improved by 1.07% and F1-score by 2.04% compared to the best performance of the classification model before normalizing the MFCC.

  • ICT technology development has led to a breakthrough change in government decision making by improving mutual communication between various stakeholders. The formation of ICT-based cooperation network between public organizations and civic tech developers to solve the problem of masks in the COVID-19 pandemic serves as a milestone. The purpose of this study is to examine the properties of e-Governance and analyze the dynamic network structure of the communication process for chat rooms created during the development of public mask apps. First, as a result of the analysis, the possibility of online-based e-Governance can be identified. In addition, the combination of expertise to solve social problems interacted organically within the network. Emotional communication for cooperation between key actors was marked as important for the successful operation of the network.

  • Habruta is a question-based learning that talks, discusses, and argues in pairs. In particular, the famous painting Habruta is being implemented for the purpose of enhancing the appreciation ability of paintings and enriching the expressive power through questions and answers about the famous paintings. In this study, in order to support the famous painting Habruta for oriental paintings, we propose a method of automatically generating questions from the gender perspective of oriental painting characters using the current deep learning technology. Specifically, in this study, based on the pre-trained model, VGG16, we propose a model that can effectively analyze the features of Asian paintings by performing fine-tuning. In addition, we classify the types of questions into three types: fact, imagination, and applied questions used in the famous Habruta, and subdivide each question according to the character to derive a total of 9 question patterns. In order to verify the feasibilityof the proposed methodology, we conducted an experiment that analyzed 300 characters of actual oriental paintings. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed that the gender classification model according to our methodology shows higher accuracy than the existing model.

  • Speaker Change Detection (SCD) refers to finding the moment when the main speaker changes from one person to the next in a speech conversation. In speaker change detection, difficulties arise due to overlapping speakers, inaccuracy in the information labeling, and data imbalance. To solve these problems, TIMIT corpus widely used in speech recognition have been concatenated artificially to obtain a sufficient amount of training data, and the detection of changing speaker has performed after identifying overlapping speakers. In this paper, we propose an speaker change detection system that considers the speaker overlapping. We evaluated and verified the performance using various approaches. As a result, a detection system similar to the X-Vector structure was proposed to remove the speaker overlapping region, while the Bi-LSTM method was selected to model the speaker change system. The experimental results show a relative performance improvement of 4.6 % and 13.8 % respectively, compared to the baseline system. Additionally, we determined that a robust speaker change detection system can be built by conducting related studies based on the experimental results, taking into consideration text and speaker information.

  • Direct volume rendering is a widely used method for visualizing three-dimensional volume data such as medical images. This paper proposes a method for applying depth-of-field effects to volume ray-casting to enable more realistic depth-of-filed rendering in direct volume rendering. The proposed method exploits a camera model based on the human perceptual model and can obtain realistic images with a limited number of rays using jittered lens sampling. It also enables interactive exploration of volume data by on-the-fly calculating depth-of-field in the GPU pipeline without preprocessing. In the experiment with various data including medical images, we demonstrated that depth-of-field images with better depth perception were generated 2.6 to 4 times faster than the conventional method.

  • This study aimed to examine the influence of physical environment, microclimate, and comfort on sustaining outdoor activities. This study has identified the main factors that influence sustaining outdoor activities as physical environment, comfort in the physical environment, microclimate and microclimate comfort. For analysis, the study conducted the investigation on pedestrian walkability during spring, summer and winter of the year 2017. The microclimate levels were also recorded at the same time. The method of logit regression analysis was used to analyze these outcomes. The result showed that the comfort and safety of the physical environment as well as the ideal climatic conditions, in terms of temperature, wind level, and solar insolation, were related to sustaining outdoor activities. Also, walking and shopping in the physical and climatic environment were the factors that were found to be more influenced than the act of remaining in a place and forming conversations.

  • A patient failed to use conventional complete dentures due to severe mandibular bone resorption and soft tissue hyperplasia on lips, tongue and oral vestibule from vascular malformation. The treatment of choice would be an implant-retained overdenture, however, he refused owing to high cost. The closed mouth impression technique using BPS principle, CR record registration with gothic arch tracing and monoplane occlusion using non-anatomic teeth were used to fabricate complete dentures for this patient. Patient satisfaction, the retention and the stability of complete dentures were highly improved as a result.
