  • This paper introduces and studies a generalization of the classical Struve function of order p given by $$_aS_{p,c}(x):=\sum\limits_{k=0}^{\infty}\frac{(-c)^k}{{\Gamma}(ak+p+\frac{3}{2}){\Gamma}(k+\frac{3}{2})}(\frac{x}{2})^{2k+p+1}$$. Representation formulae are derived for $_aS_{p,c}$. Further the function $_aS_{p,c}$ is shown to be a solution of an (a + 1)-order differential equation. Monotonicity and log-convexity properties for the generalized Struve function $_aS_{p,c}$ are investigated, particulary for the case c = -1. As a consequence, $Tur{\acute{a}}n$-type inequalities are established. For a = 2 and c = -1, dominant and subordinant functions are obtained for the Struve function $_2S_{p,-1}$.

  • We investigate some generalization of a class of Hankel-Clifford transformations having Fox H-function as part of its kernel on a class of Boehmians. The generalized transform is a one-to-one and onto mapping compatible with the classical transform. The inverse Hankel-Clifford transforms are also considered in the sense of Boehmians.

  • Using the idea of intuitionistic fuzzy set due to Atanassov, we define the notion of intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces as a natural generalization of fuzzy metric spaces due to George and Veeramani and prove some known results of metric spaces including Baire's theorem and the Uniform limit theorem for intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces.

  • In 1965, Bhatt and Pandey obtained the Watson's theorem for double series by using Dioxon's theorem on the sum of a $_3F_2$. The aim of this paper is to derive twenty three results for double series closely related to the Watson's theorem for double series obtained by Bhatt and Pandey. The results are derived with the help of twenty three summation formulas closely related to the Dison's theorem on the sum of a $_3F_2$ obtained in earlier work by Lavoie, Grondin, Rathie and Arora.

  • Let ${\sigma}_s(N)$ denote the sum of the sth powers of the positive divisors of a positive integer N and let $\tilde{\sigma}_s(N)={\sum}_{d|N}(-1)^{d-1}d^s$ with $d$, N, and s positive integers. Hahn [12] proved that $$16\sum_{k. In this paper, we give a generalization of Hahn's result. Furthermore, we find the formula ${\sum}_{k=1}^{N-1}\tilde{\sigma}_1(2^{n-m}k)\tilde{\sigma}_3(2^nN-2^nk)$ for $m(0{\leq}m{\leq}n)$.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of fuzzy (r, s)-S1-pre-semicontinuous mappings on intuitionistic fuzzy topological spaces in $\check{S}$ostak's sense, which is a generalization of $S_1$-pre-semicontinuous mappings by Shi-Zhong Bai. The relationship between fuzzy (r, s)-pre-semicontinuous mapping and fuzzy (r, s)-$S_1$-pre-semicontinuous mapping is discussed. The characterizations for the fuzzy (r, s)-$S_1$-pre-semicontinuous mappings are obtained.

  • This is the study for various methods for getting the volume of frustum of pyramid. This study will first deal with how the formula of getting the volume of frustum of pyramid has been changed in the history of Mathematics. Secondly, based on the study of 'Prasolov' this study will deal with the calculation method for the volume of frustum of pyramid which was written in the 14th question of 'Moscow Papyrus' and search for the rules of solution for frustum of pyramid in the middle school textbooks. Finally, this study will consider various solutions for the volume of frustum of pyramid and its generalization.

  • A test based on quantiles is proposed for homogeneity of several treatments against the simple tree alternatives when the samples are subject to the right censorship. The proposed test is a generalization of Park and Kim(1989)'s one. The size and the power of the test is examined in a simulation study.
