  • The notion of a complicated pre-logic is introduced and investigated some properties of it. A special set in a pre-logic is established and some related its properties are discussed. Also more extended special sets in a pre-logic are introduced and some relations with deductive systems are obtained.

  • In this paper, we suggest and analyze some three step iterative scheme for finding the common elements of the set of the solutions of the extended general variational inequalities involving three operators and the set of the fixed points of nonexpansive mappings. We also consider the convergence analysis of suggested iterative schemes under some mild conditions. Since the extended general variational inequalities include general variational inequalities and several other classes of variational inequalities as special cases, results obtained in this paper continue to hold for these problems. Results obtained in this paper may be viewed as a refinement and improvement of the previously known results.

  • In the classical sense, it is known that it is impossible to construct a vector space over the entire set of real numbers with the help of simple interval arithmetic. In this article, it has shown that a vector space can be constructed in the classical sense by helping Markov's extended interval arithmetic on the interval valued Cesaro sequence spaces of non-absolute type. As a result of the positive answers, this idea was extended by us with some theorems. Consequently, a new perspective was gained to the construction of new types of sequence spaces by using different algebraic operations on interval-valued sequence spaces.

  • Peer-to-peer (P2P) systems have proved the most effective and popular file sharing applications in recent years. Previous studies mainly focused on equal service and differentiated service strategies when peers have no initial data before their downloads. For an upload-constrained P2P file sharing system, we model both the equal service process and the differentiated service process when the initial data distribution of peers satisfies some special conditions. Moreover, we show how to minimize the time required to distribute the file to any number of peers. The proposed fluid-based models can reveal the intrinsic relations among the initial data amount, the peer set size, and the minimum last finish time. The closed-form expressions derived from the extended models can closely approximate chunk-based models and systems, especially for relatively large files. As an application of the extended models, we show how to provide differentiated service efficiently to multiple peer sets. Since no limits are imposed on the upload bandwidth of peers or the size of each peer set, we believe that our analytic process and the results achieved can provide not only fundamental insights into bandwidth allocation and data scheduling but also a helpful reference for both improving system performance and building an effective incentive mechanism for P2P file sharing systems.

  • Heavy tailed distributions are useful for modeling actuarial and financial risk management problems. Actuaries often search for finding distributions that provide the best fit to heavy tailed data sets. In the present work, we introduce a new class of heavy tailed distributions of a special sub-model of the proposed family, called a new extended alpha power transformed Weibull distribution, useful for modeling heavy tailed data sets. Mathematical properties along with certain characterizations of the proposed distribution are presented. Maximum likelihood estimates of the model parameters are obtained. A simulation study is provided to evaluate the performance of the maximum likelihood estimators. Actuarial measures such as Value at Risk and Tail Value at Risk are also calculated. Further, a simulation study based on the actuarial measures is done. Finally, an application of the proposed model to a heavy tailed data set is presented. The proposed distribution is compared with some well-known (i) two-parameter models, (ii) three-parameter models and (iii) four-parameter models.

  • In this paper, more generalized q-factorial coefficients are examined by a natural extension of the q-factorial on a sequence of any numbers. This immediately leads to the notions of the extended q-Stirling numbers of both kinds and the extended q-Lah numbers. All results described in this paper may be reduced to well-known results when we set q = 1 or use special sequences.

  • An estimation technique called the Extended Kalman filter is used to estimate viscous friction, spring initial contraction, and the spring constant on the swash plate of a variable displacement pump. The feasibility of the approach was established using a simulation study. It showed that these parameters could be estimated very accurately in a reliable and independent fashion. A special experimental system was set up to facilitate the measurement of certain states to enhance the Kalman Filtering approach. The aforementioned parameters were estimated and found to be reasonably repeatable for a common operating point. It was very evident that as the operating conditions changed (i.e. temperature) so did the estimated values of certain parameters such as viscous friction. This was believed to be a good verification test for the approach.

  • We consider the Fuzzy clustering which is devised for partitioning a set of objects into a certain number of groups by assigning the membership probabilities to each object. The researches carried out in this field before show that the Fuzzy clustering concept is involved so much that for a certain set of data, the main purpose of the clustering cannot be attained as desired. Thus we propose a new objective function, named as Fuzzy-Entroppy Function in order to satisfy the main motivation of the clustering which is classifying the data clearly. Also we suggest Mean Field Annealing Algorithm as an optimization algorithm rather than the ISODATA used traditionally in this field since the objective function is changed. we show the Mean Field Annealing Algorithm works pretty well not only for the new objective function but also for the classical Fuzzy objective function by indicating that the local minimum problem resulted from the ISODATA can be improved.

  • This paper aims to apply the concept of Pythagorean fuzzy soft sets (PFSSs) to UP-algebras. Then we introduce five types of PFSSs over UP-algebras, study their generalization, and provide illustrative examples. In addition, we study the results of four operations of two PFSSs over UP-algebras, namely, the union, the restricted union, the intersection, and the extended intersection. Finally, we will also discuss t-level subsets of PFSSs over UP-algebras to study the relationships between PFSSs and special subsets of UP-algebras.
