  • Given a random sample of size N(unknown) with density f(x $\theta$), suppose that only n observations which lie outside a region R are recorded. On the basis of n observations, the Bayes estimators of $\theta$ and N are considered and their asymptotic expansions are developed to compare their second order asymptotic properties with those of the maximum likelihood estimators and the Bayes modal estimators. Corrections to bias and median bias of these estimators are made. An example is given to illustrate the results obtained.

  • The notion of rough sets was introduced by Z. Pawlak in the year 1982. The notion of a $\Gamma$-semigroup was introduced by M. K. Sen in the year 1981. In 2003, Y. B. Jun studied the roughness of sub$\Gamma$-semigroups, ideals and bi-ideals in i-semigroups. In this paper, we study rough prime ideals and rough fuzzy prime ideals in $\Gamma$-semigroups.

  • We introduce and investigate the notions of super (g,g')-continuous functions and strongly $\theta$(g,g')-continuous functions on generalized topological spaces, which are strong forms of (g,g')-continuous functions. We also investigate relationships among such the functions, (g,g')-continuity and (${\delta},{\delta}'$)-continuity.

  • This paper presents a new method for reconstructing 3 dimensional object model using a zoom camera. The proposed method uses zoom images to find the distance(D) between camera and object. Also the method uses images obtained around the object to find an $angle(\theta)$ between two connected planes of the object. With the D and $\theta,$ we can reconstruct the real sized 3-D model of object with less errors without stereo camera or rangefinder.

  • We consider the question of efficiency of the Bayes sequential procedure with respect to the optimal fixed sample size Bayes procedure in a simple vs. simple testing problem for data coming from a general nonregular density b(.theta.)h(x)l(x < .theta.). Efficiency is defined in two different ways in these caiculations. Also, the minimax sequential risk (and minimax sequential stratage) is studied as a function of the cost of sampling.

  • We derive modular equations of degree 2 to establish explicit relations for the parameterizations for the theta functions ${\varphi}$ and ${\psi}$. We then find specific values of the parameterizations to evaluate some new values of the modular j-invariant in terms of $J_n$.

  • Let k be an imaginary quadratic field, h the complex upper half plane, and let $\tau{\in}h{\cap}k$, $q=e^{{\pi}i\tau}$. We find a lot of algebraic properties derived from theta functions, and by using this we explore some new algebraic numbers from Rogers-Ramanujan continued fractions.

  • We first derive several modular equations of degree 5 and present their concise proofs based on algebraic computations. We then establish explicit relations and formulas for some parameterizations for the theta functions ${\varphi}$ and ${\psi}$ by using the derived modular equations. In addition, we find specific values of the parameterizations and evaluate some numerical values of the Rogers-Ramanujan continued fraction.

  • We first derive some modular equations of degrees 3 and 9 and present their concise proofs based on algebraic computations. We then use these modular equations to establish explicit relations and formulas for the parameterizations for the theta functions ${\varphi}$ and ${\psi}$ In addition, we find specific values of the parameterizations to evaluate some numerical values of the cubic continued fraction.
