The viviparous germination (VG) with lodging caused the yield reduction and quality deterioration in rice. We carried out the evaluation of VG tolerance (on the 40th day after heading) and mapping QTLs associated with VG tolerance using the recombinant inbred lines (M/G RILs) from a cross between Milyang 23 (japonica/indica) and Gihobyeo (japonica). The VG rates of Milyang 23 and Gihobyeo were 0.0 and 7.0%, respectively. The averaged VG rate of 162 M/G RILs was 7.7%, and their range was from 0.0 to 50.9%. Of the 162 RILs, 144 lines were tolerant less than 10%, and 18 lines were susceptible more than 10%. Using the M/G RIL Map, three QTLs associated with the viviparous trait were detected on chromosome 2 (qVG 2-1 and qVG 2-2) and 8 (qVG 8). qVG 2-1 was linked to RM 32D and RZ 166, and had LOD score of 2.97. qVG 2-2 was tightly linked to E13M59.119-Pl and E13M59.M003-P2, and showed higher LOD score of 3.41. qVG 8 was linked to RM33 and TCT116, and had LOD score of 2.67. The total phenotypic variance explained by the three QTLs was about 24.4% of the total variance in the population. The detection of new QTLs associated with VG tolerance will provide important informations for the seed dormancy, low temperature germination, or comparative genetics.

Huanglongbing (HLB) is one of the most destructive diseases in citrus, which imperils the sustainability of citriculture worldwide. The presumed causal agent of HLB, 'Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus' (CLas) is a non-culturable phloem-limited α-proteobacterium transmitted by Asian citrus psyllids (ACP, Diaphorina citri Kuwayama). A widely adopted method for HLB diagnosis is based on quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR). Although HLB diagnostic qPCR provides high sensitivity and good reproducibility, it is limited by time-consuming DNA preparation from plant tissue or ACP and the requirement of proper lab instruments including a thermal cycler to conduct qPCR. In an attempt to develop a quick assay that can be deployed in the field for CLas detection, we developed a real-time loop-mediated isothermal amplification (rt-LAMP) assay by targeting the CLas five copy nrdB gene. The rt-LAMP assay using various plant sample types and psyllids successfully detected the nrdB target as low as ~2.6 Log10 copies. Although the rt-LAMP assay was less sensitive than laboratory-based qPCR (detection limit ~10 copies), the data obtained with citrus leaf and bark and ACP showed that the rt-LAMP assay has >96% CLas detection rate, compared to that of laboratory-based qPCR. However, the CLas detection rate in fibrous roots was significantly decreased compared to qPCR due to low CLas titer in some root DNA sample. We also demonstrated that the rt-LAMP assay can be used with a crude leaf DNA extract which is fully deployable in the field for quick and reliable HLB screening.
SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool)-MODFLOW (Modular Groundwater Flow) is a coupled model that linking semi-distributed watershed hydrology with fully-distributed groundwater behavior. In this study, the groundwater simulation results of SWAT and SWAT-MODFLOW were compared for Bokhacheon watershed in Namhan river basin. The models were calibrated and validated with 9 years (2009~2017) daily streamflow (Q) data of Heungcheon (HC) water level gauge station and the daily groundwater level observation data of Yulheon (YH). For SWAT, the groundwater parameters of GW_DELAY, GWQMN, and ALPHA_BF affecting baseflow and recession phase were treated. The SWAT results showed the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.7 and Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiencies (NESQ, NSEinQ) for Q and 1/Q with 0.73 and -0.1 respectively. For SWAT-MODFLOW, the spatio-temporal aquifer hydraulic conductivity (K, m/day), specific storage (Ss, 1/m), and specific yield (Sy) were applied. The SWAT-MODFLOW showed R2, NSEQ, and NSEinQ of 0.69, 0.74, and 0.51 respectively. The SWAT-MODFLOW considerably enhanced the low flow simulation with the help of aquifer physical information. The total streamflow of SWAT and SWAT-MODFLOW were 718.6 mm and 854.9 mm occupying baseflow of 342.9 mm and 423.5 mm respectively.
For 0 < $p$ < ${\infty}$, ${\alpha}$ > -1 and 0 < $r$ < 1, we show that if $f$ is in the space of Dirichlet type $\mathfrak{D}^p_{p-1}$, then ${\int}_{1}^{0}M_{p}^{p}(r,f^{\prime})(1-r)^{p-1}rdr$ < ${\infty}$ and ${\int}_{1}^{0}M_{(2+{\alpha})p}^{(2+{\alpha})p}(r,f^{\prime})(1-r)^{(2+{\alpha})p+{\alpha}}rdr$ < ${\infty}$ where $M_p(r,f)=\[\frac{1}{2{\pi}}{\int}_{0}^{2{\pi}}{\mid}f(re^{it}){\mid}^pdt\]^{1/p}$. For 1 < $p$ < $q$ < ${\infty}$ and ${\alpha}+1$ < $p$, we show that if there exists some positive constant $c$ such that ${\parallel}f{\parallel}_{L^{q(d{\mu})}}{\leq}c{\parallel}f{\parallel}_{\mathfrak{D}^p_{\alpha}}$ for all $f{\in}\mathfrak{D}^p_{\alpha}$, then ${\parallel}f{\parallel}_{L^{q(d{\mu})}}{\leq}c{\parallel}f{\parallel}_{\mathcal{B}_p(q)}$ where $\mathcal{B}_p(q)$ is the weighted Besov space. We also find the condition of measure ${\mu}$ such that ${\sup}_{a{\in}D}{\int}_D(k_a(z)(1-{\mid}a{\mid}^2)^{(p-a-1)})^{q/p}d{\mu}(z)$ < ${\infty}$.
Let M be a right R-module, G an ordered group and ${\sigma}$ a map from G into the group of automorphisms of R. The conditions under which the Malcev-Neumann module M* ((G)) is a PS module and a p.q.Baer module are investigated in this paper. It is shown that: (1) If $M_R$ is a reduced ${\sigma}$-compatible module, then the Malcev-Neumann module M* ((G)) over a PS-module is also a PS-module; (2) If $M_R$ is a faithful ${\sigma}$-compatible module, then the Malcev-Neumann module M* ((G)) is a p.q.Baer module if and only if the right annihilator of any G-indexed family of cyclic submodules of M in R is generated by an idempotent of R.
In this paper, we introduce the notion of semi-symmetric structure Jacobi operator for Hopf real hypersufaces in the complex quadric Qm = SOm+2/SOmSO2. Next we prove that there does not exist any Hopf real hypersurface in the complex quadric Qm = SOm+2/SOmSO2 with semi-symmetric structure Jacobi operator. As a corollary, we also get a non-existence property of Hopf real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric Qm with either symmetric (parallel), or recurrent structure Jacobi operator.
Let M be a real hypersurface in the complex hyperbolic quadric Qm*, m ≥ 3. The Riemannian curvature tensor field R of M allows us to define a symmetric Jacobi operator with respect to the Reeb vector field ξ, which is called the structure Jacobi operator Rξ = R( · , ξ)ξ ∈ End(TM). On the other hand, in [20], Semmelmann showed that the cyclic parallelism is equivalent to the Killing property regarding any symmetric tensor. Motivated by his result above, in this paper we consider the cyclic parallelism of the structure Jacobi operator Rξ for a real hypersurface M in the complex hyperbolic quadric Qm*. Furthermore, we give a complete classification of Hopf real hypersurfaces in Qm* with such a property.

The study for the estimation potential natural vegetation was estimated the occurrence probability distribution using geographic information system(GIS) in Bukhansan National Park. Correlation and factor analysis were analyzed to estimate probability distribution. Coefficients were calculated by logistic regression analysis. Correlation coefficients were significantly at the 0.01 level. Commonality of elevation, annual mean temperature, warmth index and potential evapotranspiration were high value, but topographic index was low value. Communities of over the 0.3 points distribution probability, Quercus mogolica communities were the largest area, 76,940,900 $m^2$, Pinus densiflora communities area was 860,800 $m^2$, Quercus acutissima communities area was 500,100 $m^2$ and Quercus variabilis communities area was 1,000 $m^2$, but Q. aliena, Q. serrata, Carpinus laxiflora and Zelcova serrata communities was not appeared. Therefore, potential national vegetation of Bukhansan national park was likely to be Q. mongolica community, P. densiflora community, Q. acutissima community and Q. variabilis community.
