Comparison of structural and electrical properties of PMN-PT/LSCO thin films deposited on different substrates by pulsed laser deposition

  • The 0.65Pb($Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-0.35PbTiO_3$ (PMN-PT) thin films with $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CoO_{3-\delta}$ (LSCO) bottom electrodes were grown on $CeO_2$/YSZ/Si(001), Pt/$TiO_2$/Si and $SrTiO_3$ (STO) substrates using conventional pulsed laser deposition (PLD) at a substrate temperature of $550^{\circ}C$. Since generally the crystallographic orientation of the bottom electrode induces the orientation of the films deposited on it, it allows us to observe the influence of the PMN-PT film orientation on the electrical properties. Phi scan done on PMN-PT/LSCO thin films shows epitaxial behavior of the films grown on sto substrates and $CeO_2$/YSZ buffered Si(001) substrates, and (110) texture on Pt/$TiO_2$/Si substrates. Polarization-electricfield (P-E) measurement shows good hysteresis behavior of PMN-PT films with remnant polarization of 18.2, 8.8, and $4.4{\mu}C/cm^2$ on $CeO_2$/YSZ/Si, Pt/TiO2/Si and STO substrates respectively.

RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법으로 제작된 $Pb[(Zr,Sn)Ti]NbO_3$ 박막의 결정구조와 전기적 특성 (Crystalline structures and electrical properties of $Pb[(Zr,Sn)Ti]NbO_3$ Thin Films deposited using RF Magnetron Sputtering Method)

  • 10 mole%의 과잉 PbO가 첨가된 타겟을 이용하여 $(La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5})CoO_3(LSCO)/Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si$ 위에 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법을 이용하여 $Pb_{0.99}[(Zr_{0.6}Sn_{0.4})_{0.9}Ti_{0.1}]_{0.98}Nb_{0.02}O_3(PNZST)$ 박막을 증착시켰다. $500^{\circ}C$의 기판온도, 80W의 RF power에서 증착된 박막은 급속열처리(RTA)후에 페로브스카이트 상으로 결정화되었다. $650^{\circ}C$, 공기중에서 10초 동안 열처리된 박막이 가장 우수한 결정성과 전기적 특성을 나타내었다. 이러한 박막으로 제작된 PNZST 커패시터는 약 $20\;{\mu}C/cm^2$ 정도의 잔류분극과 약 50 kV/cm 정도의 항전계를 나타내었다. 또한, $2.2{\times}10^9$의 스위칭 후에도 잔류분극의 감소는 10% 미만이었다.

산업용 폭약을 이용한 폭발용접, 폭발성형과 충격분말고화에 관한 실험 및 수치해석적 연구 (Experimental and Numerical Studies on Application of Industrial Explosives to Explosive Welding, Explosive Forming, Shock Powder Consolidation)

  • 본 논문은 폭약의 폭발현상을 이용한 폭발용접, 폭발성형과 충격분말고화기술의 기본적 원리와 실험방법, 실험결과에 대하여 기술한다. 타이타늄(Ti)과 스테인레스 강(Stainless steel, SUS 304) 판재의 폭발용접 실험결과, 두 재료 접촉면의 단면에서는 연속적인 젯(jet)모양의 파형이 관찰되었고, 두 금속판재의 설치 경사각도가 $15{\sim}20^{\circ}$ 이고 접착속도가 2,100~2,800 m/s인 경우에 최적의 접합조건을 보였다. 알루미늄(Al) 판재를 이용한 폭발성형 실험과 전형적인 가압성형 실험 결과를 비교분석하여, 폭발성형의 경우가 큰 곡률변형을 보여 가공성이 우수한 것으로 확인되었다. 끝으로 금속과 세라믹의 혼합분말($Fe_{11.2}La_2O_3Co_{0.7}Si_{1.1}$)에 대한 충격고화 실험법을 제안하고 실험을 수행한 결과, 고화체의 표면과 내부에 균열이 확인되지 않았으며 세라믹입자와 금속입자들의 강한 미세조직 결합이 형성되었다. 또한 충격분말고화실험에서 발생되는 폭약의 폭발에 의한 폭굉파와 수중 충격파의 전파 및 간섭현상을 분석하기 위하여 LS-Dyna 3D를 이용한 동적해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 물용기 내 벽면에서 반사된 수중충격파가 중앙부에서 중첩되어 폭약의 폭발압력보다 높은 20 GPa의 수중 충격압을 보여, 물용기 내부형상의 중요성을 입증하였다.

화학적으로 변형된 전구용액을 이용한 YBCO 박막 제조 (Fabrication of YBCO films in MOD processing via chemically modified precursor solution)

  • Superconducting YBCO films were successfully fabricated by MOD process using chemically modified precursor solution. In this study, a chemically modified precursor solution for MOD processing was synthesized using metal-organic salts and organic additives. It was shown that crack-free and uniform precursor films were formed after calcination in humidified Oxygen atmosphere. Less than 3 hours are required to finish the calcination process. XRD measurement shows that $BaF_2,\;CuO,\;Y_2O_3$ are major constituent of precursor films. Furthermore, YBCO films without any secondary phases were successfully fabricated after annealing in wet $Ar/O_2$ atmosphere. The YBCO film prepared on a $LaAlO_3$ single crystal substrate ($10mm{\times}10mm$) gives transport $I_c$ of 10A at 77K. This chemical modification approach is a possible candidate for improving MOD-processing of YBCO coated conductor.

La0.7Sr0.3Ga0.6Fe0.4O 분리막의 산소투과특성 및 합성가스의 생성 (Oxygen Permeation and Syngas Production of La0.7Sr0.3Ga0.6Fe0.4O Oxygen Permeable Membrane)

  • 산소분자를 선택적으로 투과.분리할 수 있는 L $a_{0.7}$S $r_{0.3}$G $a_{0.6}$F $e_{0.4}$ $O_{3-}$$\delta$/ 페롭스카이트계 혼합전도성 산소투과 분리막을 제조하였으며, 소결조건에 따라 발현되는 미세구조적 특징을 고찰하였다. He/air 분위기하에서 분리막의 산소투과 유속에 미치는 분리막의 두께 및 표면개질의 영향을 평가하여 속도결정단계에 대하여 논의하였다. 미세구조가 조절된 분리막에 대하여 산소투과유속을 측정함으로써, 입계분율의 증가에 따라 산소투과에 대한 저항이 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 분리막을 통하여 선택적으로 투과된 산소를 이용하여 메탄의 부분산화반응에 의한 합성가스를 생성하였으며, 메탄의 전환율 및 합성가스의 수율을 측정.평가하였다. 기체의 혼합비 및 반응온도의 변화를 통해 합성가스 생성의 적정조건을 선택할 수 있었으며, 600시간의 장기 안정성 시험을 통해, L $a_{0.7}$S $r_{0.3}$G $a_{0.6}$F $e_{0.4}$ $O_{3-}$$\delta$/ 계 산소투과 분리막이 고온의 극심한 환원분위기하에서 안정적으로 사용이 가능한 것으로 판단하였다.

Powder Preparation by Hydroxide Coprecipitation and Phase Development of Pb0.97La0.02(Zr0.64Sn0.25Ti0.11)O3 Ceramics

  • A homogeneous and stoichimetric fine powder of the ferroelectric $Pb_[0.97}La_{0.02}(Zr_{0.64}Sn_{0.25}Ti_{0.11})O_3$ (PLZST) has been prepared by the hydroxide coprecipitation method. Studies on the crystallization behavior of precursor as a function of temperature by X-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy technique were consistent with the formation of the pyrochlore phase from amorphous, initially at low temperatures around 500~$550^{\circ}C$. Further heat treatment up to $750^{\circ}C$ resulted in development of the perovskite phase with no significant pyrochlore crystallite growth. At intermediate temperatures the precursor yields a fine mixture of pyrochlore and perovskite phases. When the pyrochlore phase was heat teated in air, slight weight increase was observed in the temperature range of 300~$700^{\circ}C$, which is thought to be caused from oxygen absorption. In argon atmosphere, weight increase was not observed. On the other hand, weight loss began to occur near $700^{\circ}C$, with giving off mostly CO2 gas. This implies that the pyrochlore phase seems to be crystallorgraphycally and thermodynamically metastable. An apparent activation energy of 53.9 ㎉/mol was estimated for the pyrochlore-perovskite phase transformation.

Effect of Al and Nb Doping on the Electrochemical Characteristics of Garnet-type Li7La3Zr2O12 Solid Electrolytes

  • In this study, we synthesized and characterized garnet-type Li7-xAlxLa3Zr2-(5/4)yNbyO12 (LALZN) solid electrolytes for all-solid-state battery applications. Our novel approach focused on enhancing ionic conductivity, which is crucial for battery efficiency. A systematic examination found that co-doping with Al and Nb significantly improved this conductivity. Al3+ and Nb5+ ions were incorporated at Li+ and Zr4+ sites, respectively. This doping resulted in LALZN electrolytes with optimized properties, most notably enhanced ionic conductivity. An optimized mixture with 0.25 mol each of Al and Nb dopants achieved a peak conductivity of 1.32 × 10-4 S cm-1. We fabricated symmetric cells using these electrolytes and observed excellent charge-discharge profiles and remarkable cycling longevity, demonstrating the potential for long-term application in battery systems. The garnet-type LALZN solid electrolytes, with their high ionic conductivity and stability, show great potential for enhancing the performance of all-solid-state batteries. This study not only advances the understanding of effective doping strategies but also underscores the practical applicability of the LALZN system in modern energy storage solutions.

Growth of ZnSnO3 Thin Films on c-Al2O3 (0001) Substrate by Pulsed Laser Deposition

  • $La_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CoO_3$ (LSCO) electrode thin films with a resistivity of ~ 1,600 ${\mu}{\Omega}cm$ were grown on c-$Al_2O_3$ (0001) substrate. $ZnSnO_3$ (ZTO) thin films with different thicknesses were directly grown on LSCO/c-$Al_2O_3$ (0001) substrates at a substrate temperature that ranged from 550 to $750^{\circ}C$ using Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). The secondary phase $Zn_2SnO_4$ occurred during the growth of ZTO films and it became more significant with further increasing substrate temperature. Polarization-electric-field (P-E) hysteresis characteristics, with a remnant polarization and coercive field of 0.05 ${\mu}C/cm^2$ and 48 kV/cm, respectively, were obtained in the ZTO film grown at $700^{\circ}C$ in 200 mTorr.

금강하구 표층퇴적물의 지화학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Geochemical Characteristics of Surface Sediments in the Keum River Estuary Adjacent to Coastal Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate geochemical characteristics of surface sediments in the Keum river estuary adjacent to coastal area. For this study we collected the 21 surface sediments samples. Mean size of surface samples was $3.24{\sim}6.65{\phi}$ on inner estuary and was $2.15{\sim}3.42{\phi}$ on outside estuary. Surface samples were composed of silt on inner estuary and were composed of sand which was more larger than $4{\phi}$ on outside estuary. Most major elements except CaO, $Na_2O$ showed good relationships between variation of contents and grain size. Contents of $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, MgO, $K_2O$, $TiO_2$, $P_2O_5$ and $M_nO$ were increased predominately owing to the variation of mean size of surface samples. Contents of Co, Cr, Cu, Li, Sr, Zn, La, Ce, Pb, Rb, Nd have a good relationships with grain size but Ba, Th, Sm have not. All of major and minor elements contents except $K_2O$ and Ba were less than world mean contents of shallow surface sediments but apprehend a high pollution possibility on silt sediments in the estuaries.
