기계 장치와의 상호작용을 위한 실시간 저비용 손동작 제어 시스템 (A Real Time Low-Cost Hand Gesture Control System for Interaction with Mechanical Device)

  • 최근에, 효율적인 상호작용을 지원하는 시스템 인 휴먼 머신 인터페이스(HMI)가 인기를 끌고있다. 본 논문에서는 차량 상호작용방법 중 하나로 새로운 실시간 저비용 손동작 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 계산 시간을 줄이기 위해 RGB 카메라를 사용하여 손 영역을 감지할 때 많은 계산이 필요하므로 TOF (Time-of-Flight) 카메라를 사용하여 깊이 정보를 취득한다. 또한, 푸리에 기술자를 사용하여 학습 모델을 줄였다. 푸리에 디스크립터는 전체 이미지에서 적은 수의 포인트만 사용하므로 학습 모델을 소형화 할 수 있다. 제안 된 기법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 데스크탑과 라즈베리 pi 2의 속도를 비교했다. 실험 결과에 따르면 소형 임베디드와 데스크탑의 성능 차이는 크지 않다. 제스처 인식 실험에서 95.16 %의 인식률이 확인되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 원격 제어 홀로그램 기반 인터랙티브 사이니지 디자인에 대해 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 Raspberry Pi 하드웨어 플랫폼 및 Intel realsense r200 카메라를 사용하여 인터랙션이 가능한 홀로그램 사이니지 구조를 구성하였으며, 소프트웨어 파트는 원격 콘텐츠 관리를 위한 Screenly 솔루션과 콘텐츠 제어를 위한 Open CV 기반 솔루션을 기반으로 구성된다. 3D 게임 기술 Unity 5를 기반으로 한 3D 콘텐츠 렌더링 알고리즘을 사용하여 테스트를 진행하였으며, 홀로그램 피라미드 사이니지 구조를 사용한 모델 테스트를 통해 IoS 설계를 위한 3D 데이터 시각화 및 표출이 가능한 새로운 방식을 실험하였다. 본 논문에서는 해당 홀로그램 사이니지 모델에 대하여 기술하였다.

Ab initio Study of the Complexes of Trimethyl Ether of Monodeoxycalix[4]arene with Potassium Ion: Cation-π Interactions

  • In this study, we have performed ab initio computer simulations to investigate the conformational and complexation characteristics of the trimethyl ether of p-tert-butylmonodeoxycalix[4]arene (6) with a potassium ion. The structures of different conformers of 6 and their potassium complexes were optimized by using ab initio RHF/6-31G and B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) methods. The relative stability of the various conformers of the uncomplexed 6 is in following order: cone (most stable) > 1-partial-cone ~ 2i-partial-cone > 2-partial-cone ~ 1,3-alternate > 3i-partial-cone. However, the relative stability of the conformational complexes of 6 with $K^+$ is in the following order: 2-partial cone ~ 1,3-alternate > cone > 3-partial cone > 1-partial cone (least stable). The highest binding strengths of 2-partial-cone and 1,3-alternate complexes originate from two strong cation-$\pi$ interactions and two strong cation-oxygen interactions in the complex of 6+$K^+$. Due to the cation-$\pi$ interactions, the calculated C-C bond distances in the arenes of the $K^+$-complexes are about 0.0048 $\AA$ longer than the values of their isolated hosts.

Comparative Study of Tetrahydrothiophene and Thiophene Self Assembled Monolayers on Au(111): Structure and Molecular Orientation

  • Surface structure and molecular orientation of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) formed by the spontaneous adsorption of tetrahydrothiophene (THT) and thiophene (TP) on Au(111) were investigated by means of scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and carbon K-edge near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy. STM imaging revealed that THT SAMs have a commensurate (3 ${\times}\;2\sqrt[]{3}$) structure containing structural defects in ordered domains, whereas TP SAMs are composed of randomly adsorbed domains and paired molecular row domains that can be described as an incommensurate packing structure. The NEXAFS spectroscopy study showed that the average tilt angle of the aliphatic THT ring and $\pi$-conjugated TP ring in the SAMs were calculated to be about $30^o\;and\;40^o$, respectively, from the surface normal. It was also observed that the $\pi$* transition peak in the NEXAFS spectrum of the TP SAMs is very weak, suggesting that a strong interaction between $\pi$-electrons and the Au surface arises during the self-assembly of TP molecules. In this study, we have clearly demonstrated that the surface structure and adsorption orientation of organic SAMs on Au(111) are strongly influenced by whether the cyclic ring is saturated or unsaturated.

On the Full Stand Modeling and Tension Control for the Hot Strip Finishing Mill with PID Structure

  • We describe a looper controller design for a hot strip finishing mill in steel plants. The main function of the looper system is to balance the mass flow of the strip by accumulating material in the middle of the stands. Another function is to control the strip tension which influences the width of the strip. To ensure strip quality, it is very important to control the tension of the hot strip finishing mill. However, because there is a mutual interaction between the looper angle and the strip tension, it is difficult to control the looper system. Previous researches examined only the operation of a single stand. But it is not sufficient to examine the operation and effect of whole stands because the operation is wholly interdependent. In this paper, we present a full model of the hot strip finishing mill in order to more effectively control strip tension. We propose several control methods for the full-stand hot strip finishing mill, denoted as conventional PI, PI with cross gain, and coefficient diagram method (CDM) PID control. In the real plants, there are some problems by using higher order controllers such as LQ, LQG and H$\_$$\infty$/. By comparison, the PID controller is very simple and easy to apply to all real plants. To that end, we present our findings on PID controls and their potential use in the hot strip finishing mill.

OneNet 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반 실시간 홈 보안 시스템 (OneNet Cloud Computing Based Real-time Home Security System)

  • 본 논문은 스마트폰으로 집 내의 상태를 제어하는 OneNet 클라우드 플랫폼 기반 실시간 홈 보안 시스템을 설계한다. 제안된 시스템은 로컬과 클라우드 지역으로 구분된다. 로컬 지역은 I/O 디바이스, 라우터와 센서 데이터를 수집, 모니터링하고 클라우드로 데이터를 전송하는 라즈베리파이로 구성되며, 라즈베리파이에 플래스크 웹 서버가 구현된다. 사용자가 집에 있을 경우 플래스크 웹 서버를 통하여 직접 데이터에 접근할 수 있다. 클라우드 지역에서 사용되는 플랫폼은 중국 통신회사의 OnetNet이며, 원격 접속 서비스를 제공한다. 스마트폰에서 사용자와 홈보안 시스템 사이의 통신을 위하여 하이브리드 앱이 개발되고, 센서 데이터와 비디오스트림을 전송하기 위하여 EDP와 RTSP 프로토콜을 파이썬 언어로 구현한다. 구현된 시스템에서 사용자는 스마트폰으로 센서 데이터. 비디오스트림과 위험이 발생시에 경고 문자를 받을 수 있고, OneNet 클라우드를 통하여 원격으로 집 내의 상태를 모니터링하고, 제어할 수 있다.

Novel-1,3-Alternate Calix[4]thiacrown Ethers

  • A series of novel 1,3-alternate calix[4]-mono-thiacrown and -bis-thiacrowns were synhesized within good yields. The three dimensional 1,3-alternate conformation was confimed by X-ray crystal structure. From the results of two phase extraction and NMR studies on the ligand-metal complex, one can conclude that the calix[4]thiacrown ethers showed the very high selectivity for silver ion over other metal ions by an electrostatic interaction between sulfur atom and silver ion and by a $\pi-metal$ complexation.

  • The chlorine addition and Diels-Alder cycloaddition of cyclopentadiene to 1, 4-benzoquinone-4-(O-methyloxime) have been studied MO theoretically. It has been shown that the reactions occur predominantly to the quinone ring double bond which is oriented anti to the nitrogen lone pair due to an n-${\sigma}^*$ interaction between the nitrogen lone pair, n, and the app. vicinal bond, causing the ${\pi}$ bond to be weakened and destabilized due to the less conjugation from reduced delocalization.
