In order to precisely assess gene expression levels, the suitable internal reference genes must be served to quantify real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) data. For armyworm, Mythimna separata, which reference genes are suitable for assessing the level of transcriptional expression of target genes have yet to be explored. In this study, eight common reference genes, including ${\beta}$-actin (${\beta}$-ACT), 18 s ribosomal (18S), 28S ribosomal (28S), glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (GAPDH), elongation fator-alpha ($EF1{\alpha}$), TATA box binding protein (TBP), ribosomal protein L7 (RPL7), and alpha-tubulin (${\alpha}$-TUB) that in different developmental stages, tissues and insecticide treatments of M. separata were evaluated. To further explore whether these genes were suitable to serve as endogenous controls, three software-based approaches (geNorm, BestKeeper, and NormFinder), the delta Ct method, and one web-based comprehensive tool (RefFinder) were employed to analyze and rank the tested genes. The optimal number of reference genes was determined using the geNorm program, and the suitability of particular reference genes was empirically validated according to normalized HSP70, and MsepCYP321A10 gene expression data. We found that the most suitable reference genes for the different experimental conditions. For developmental stages, 28S/RPL7 were the optimal reference genes, both $RPL7/EF1{\alpha}$ were suitable for experiments of different tissues, whereas for insecticide treatments, $28S/{\alpha}-TUB$ were suitable for normalizations of expression data. In addition, $28S/{\alpha}-TUB$ were the suitable reference genes because they have the most stable expression among different developmental stages, tissues and insecticide treatments. Our work is the first report on reference gene selection in M. separata, and might serve as a precedent for future gene expression studies.
The most common method in the psychological measuring method for measuring user's emotions is to indirectly measure the user's emotion by using adjectives, called emotional words. The previous research, in order to observe user's emotional changes while they interact with a product, has extracted some emotional words and representative emotions, and made a set of subjective evaluation scale. In addition to adjective checklists, self-report questionnaire-type scales have been extensively used to assess user's emotions. This research suggested a self-report questionnaire-type scale using the representative emotions and a set of subjective evaluation scale made in the previous research. Also the reliability of the suggested self-report questionnaire-type scale was confirmed through the analysis of Cronbach's coefficient alpha. Therefore, the self-report questionnaire-type scale extracted through this research can be used in various ways to measure a user's user's emotions naturally expressed while using a product.
Background: TNF-$\alpha$ plays a major role in producing left ventricular dysfunction cardio-myopathy pulmonary edema and inhibits the compensatory mechanism of congestive heart failure. IL-6 is an acute reactant of immune reaction and also known to control immune reaction but its function in the myocyte was not clearly investigated. Author's performed this experiment to investigate the contents of TNF-$\alpha$ and IL-6 on the assumption that TNF-$\alpha$ and IL-6 may reside in nonfailing heart that has gone cardiac surgery and play some role in cardiac function. Material and Method : Right auricular tissues were sampled from 12 patients who had undergone total corrective surgery for both congenital and acquired heart diseases from January 1998 to June 1998 in Kosin Universcfy Gospel hospital. The quantitive analysis of TNF-$\alpha$ and IL-6 were assessed by ELISA method in right auricular tissue. Hemodynamic values about the pressure of ventricle atrium aorta pulmonary artery and cardiac index pulmonary and systemic vascular resistance and cardiac output were measured by echocardiography and cardiac catheterization and biochemical analyses of LDH & AST were done before operation. statistical analysis was by Paired Student t-test. Patients were divided into children(under 15 years olds) and adults groups and the data was compared beween two groups. Conclusion: Mild pulmonary hypertension and increased pulmonary vascular resistance were existed in both group. The contents of tissue TNF-$\alpha$ IL-6 in each group were independent of each data.

The characteristic ratio assignment (CRA) method〔1〕 is new polynomial approach which allows to directly address the transient responses such as overshoot and speed of response time in time domain specifications. The method is based on the relationships between time response and characteristic ratios($\alpha_i$ ) and generalized time constant (T), which are defined in terms of coefficients of characteristic polynomial. However, even though the CRA can apply to developing a linear controller that meets good transient responses, there are still some fundamental questions to be explored. For the purpose of this, we have analyzed several sensitivities of a linear system with respect to the changes of coefficients itself and $\alpha_i$ of denominator polynomial. They are (i) the unnormalized root sensitivity : to determine how the poles change as $\alpha_i$ changes, and (ii) the function sensitivity to determine the sensitivity of step response to the change of o, and to analyze the sensitivity of frequency response as o, changes. As an other important result, it is shown that, under any fixed T and coefficient of the lowest order of s in denominator, the step response is dominantly affected merely by $\alpha_1, alpha_2 and alpha_3$ regardless of the order of denominator higher than 4. This means that the rest of the$\alpha_i$ s have little effect on the step response. These results provide some useful insight and background theory when we select $\alpha_i$ and T to compose a reference model, and in particular when we design a low order controllers such as PID controller.

Manuka oil named New Zealand’s tea tree oil is oil-soluble and comes firom nature. Manuka oil and its extract $\alpha$-pinene, Oxy’less clear, R-limonene which is one of the component of Citron extracted from Grapefruit seed and Citrex were used to estimate the antimicrobial activity and to improve the capability of antiseptic. Disk diffusion method was used to measure the antimicrobial activity. Escherichia coli which is gram-negative bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus which is gram-positive bacteria were used as strain. The antimicrobial activity of Manuka oil and $\alpha$-pinene for Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus was similar when the concentration of Manuka oil and $\alpha$-pinene are 10u/paper disk. However, antimi-crobial activity of Manuka oil fDr Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aurem was better than that of $\alpha$-pinene when the concentration of Manuka oil and $\alpha$-pinene was low. Antimicrobial activity of Oxy’less clear is better than that of propyl para hydroxybenzoate(PPHB), R-limonene at all the concentration and is similar to that of $\alpha$-pinene. Antimicrobial activity.

Regression Analysis is an analyzing method of regression model to explain the statistical relationship between explanatory variable and response variables. This paper introduce Theil's method to find a fuzzy regression model which explain the relationship between explanatory variable and response variables. Theil's method is a robust method which is not sensive to outliers. Theil's method use medians of rate of increment based on randomly chosen pairs of each components of ${\alpha}$-level sets of fuzzy data in order to estimate the coefficients of fuzzy regression model. We propose an example to show Theil's estimator is robust than the Least squares estimator.
In this paper we study a $C^{*}$-dynamical system (A, G, .alpha.) where A is a UHF-algebra, G is a finite abelian group and .alpha. is a *-automorphic action of product type of G on A. In [2], A. Kishimoto considered the case G= $Z_{n}$, the cyclic group of order n and investigated a condition in order that the fixed point algebra $A^{\alpha}$ of A under the action .alpha. is UHF. In later N.J. Munch studied extremal tracial states on $A^{\alpha}$ by employing the method of A. Kishimoto [3], where G is a finite abelian group. Generally speaking, when G is compact (not necessarily discrete and abelian), $A^{\alpha}$ is an AF-algebra and its ideal structure was well analysed by N. Riedel [4]. Here we obtain some conditions for $A^{\alpha}$ to be UHF, where G is a finite abelian group, which is an extension of the result of A. Kishimoto.oto.
The tocopherol and tocotrienol contents of 39 vegetable oils, margarines, butters, and peanut butters typically consumed in the Korea diet were determined by direct solvent extraction method followed by normal phase liquid chromatography. All samples were locally obtained in the Cheongju area in 2003 and 2004. The study examined data on 19 vegetable oils, 10 margarines, 6 butters, and 4 peanut butters. ${\gamma}$-Tocopherol (${\gamma}$-T) and ${\alpha}$-tocopherol (${\alpha}$-T) were detectable in all products except butters and were usually present in the vitamin E form in greater quantity than the other isomers. Usually, ${\gamma}$-T content was higher than ${\alpha}$-T content in many samples. Tocotrienols were measurable in some samples but usually at levels less than the corresponding tocopherols. Three analytical method validation parameters, accuracy, precision, and specificity, were calculated to ensure the method's validity and were all confirmed to be reliable and satisfactory.

The expression of the mouse $\alpha-amylase$ gene in the methylotrophic yeast, P pastoris was investigated. The mouse $\alpha-amylase$ gene was inserted into the multi-cloning site of a Pichi a expression vector, pPIC9, yielding a new expression vector pME624. The plasmid pME624 was digested with SalI or BglII, and was introduced into P. pastoris strain GSl15 by the PEG1000 method. Fifty-three transformants were obtained by the transplacement of pME624 digested with SaiII or BglII into the HIS4locus $(38\;of\;Mut^+\;clone)$ or into the AOX1 locus $(15\;of\;Mut^s\;clone)$. Southern blot was carried out in 11 transformants, which showed that the mouse $\alpha-amylase$ gene was integrated into the Pichia chromosome. When the second screening was performed in shaker culture, transformant G2 showed the highest $\alpha-amylase$ activity, 290 units/ml after 3-day culture, among 53 transformants. When this expression level of the mouse $\alpha-amylase$ gene is compared with that in recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae harboring a plasmid encoding the same mouse $\alpha-amylase$ gene, the specific enzyme activity is eight fold higher than that of the recombinant S. cerevisiae.

The $\alpha$-FeOOH powders were prepared by allkaline and acidic method on the small scale plant from the waste pickling liquor of iron. $\alpha$-FeOOH, $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$, $Fe_3O_4$ and ${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$ powders were examined by TEM, SEM, TG-DTA, X-ray diffraction, VSM and chemical analysis. The results obtained from the experiment could be summerized as follows : the reaction time for the preparation of $\alpha$-FeOOH was observed to be smaller in the case of alkaline method and the products was acicular with the size of about $0.5\mu\textrm{m}$. The color of $\alpha-FeOOH and $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$was lovely yellow and red, respectively. The magnetic properties of $Fe_3O_4$ obtained by the reduction of $\alpha-Fe_2O_3$in the $H_2$ atomosphere at $370^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour showed 367(Oe) and 82.7(emu/g).
