Ag2O 첨가량에 따른 0.95(Na,K)NbO3-0.05LiNbO3 세라믹스의 압전 특성 (Piezoelectric Properties of Ag2O Doped 0.95(Na,K)NbO3-0.05LiNbO3 Ceramics)

  • As lead-free piezoelectric materials, $Ag_2O$ doped $0.95(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05LiNbO_3+x$ mol% (where x = 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3, respectively) ceramics were fabricated by a conventional sintering process. The doping effects on the microstructure and electrical properties of the $0.95(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05LiNbO_3$ ceramics were systematically investigated. When the 3 mol % $Ag_2O$ doped $0.95(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05LiNbO_3$ samples were sintered at $1,080^{\circ}C$ for 5 hrs in air, these ceramics showed excellent values of density=4.20 $g/cm^3$, piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$)=174 pC/N and phase transition temperature$(T_c)=421.6^{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • Lead free $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.47}Cd_x)NbO_3$ ceramics (x=0.015-0.005) were prepared by the conventional mixed oxide route. The effects of CdO addition on the sintering, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the samples were examined. The addition of CdO greatly enhanced the sinterability of ceramics and the sample has a lower dielectric loss. The $k_p\;and\;Q_m$ of the samples with 0.02 mol CdO addition are 0.35 and 125, respectively, The $(Na,K)NbO_3$ ceramics show a large degradation of $k_p$ due to the deliquescence when exposed to humidity, while the $(Na,K,Cd)NbO_3$ ceramics have no a significant degradation of it.

  • [ $(Na_{0.5},\;K_{0.5})NbO_3$ ] ceramics were studied as lead free Piezoelectric materials. The addition of CdO were enhanced the sinterability of the NKN ceramics. The $(Na_{0.5},\;K_{0.47}Cd_{0.02})NbO_3$ ceramics show that electromachanical coupling factor($k_p$) is 0.34and mechanical quality factor($O_m$) is 120.

  • The $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-SrTiO_3$ ceramics were produced by the conventional solid-state sintering method, and their microstructure and electrical properties were investigated. All $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-SrTiO_3$ ceramic show dense and homogeneous structure without the presence of the rosette structure. The dielectric constant, loss and remanent polarization of $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-SrTiO_3$ ceramics were superior to those of single composition $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3$

  • Structure and electrical properties of $0.85NaNbO_3-0.15LiNbO_3$ ($(Li_{0.15}Na_{0.85})NbO_3$) ceramics were investigated as a function of sintering temperature. $(Li_{0.15}Na_{0.85})NbO_3$ ceramics were prepared by conventional solid state processing. A main phase of the orthorhombic perovskite structure and secondary phase of $LiNbO_3$ were confirmed for all sintered specimens. Dense $(Li_{0.15}Na_{0.85})NbO_3$ ceramics were obtained at sintering temperature above $1050^{\circ}C$. With increasing sintering temperature, the electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$), piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$) and relative dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_r$) of the sintered specimens increased, while the mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) decreased. These results are due to the increase of grain size and crystallite size of orthorhombic perovskite structure. Based on the temperature dependence of ${\varepsilon}_r$, stable piezoelectric properties were expected because no phase transition found up to $300^{\circ}C$. Typically, kp of 18%, $d_{33}$ of 34.7 pC/N, ${\varepsilon}_r$ of 135, and $Q_m$ of 62.8 were obtained for the specimens sintered at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 5 h.

  • (1-x)(Na,K)$NbO_3$-xBa(Zr,Ti)$O_3$ lead free piezoelectric ceramics were synthesized to enhance the piezoelectric properties of (Na,K)$NbO_3$. The synthesis and sintering method were the conventional solid state reaction method and general sintering method in air atmosphere. We report the improved piezoelectric properties in the perovskite structure composed of the NKN and BZT ceramics. We investigated the effects of NKN, BZT on the structural and electrical properties of the NKN-BZT ceramics. The NKN-BZT ceramics show good performance with piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$=155pC/N. The results reveal that (1-x)(Na,K)$NbO_3$-xBa(Zr,Ti)$O_3$ ceramics are promising candidate materials for lead-free piezoelectric application.

  • We investigated dielectric relaxation properties of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics by addition (0~0.3 wt%) of $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit. All composition of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ added $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit showed the same crystallographic properties, coexistence of orthorhombic and tetragonal phase. By increasing addition of $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit, the Curie temperatures of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics were decreased, whereas maximum dielectric constants of $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics were dramatically increased. Especially the deviations of Curie temperature $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics were increased by increasing amount of $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit, and it indicated that $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05BaTiO_3$ ceramics added $(Ba,Ca)SiO_3$ glass frit have relaxor characteristics.

  • In this study, in order to develop excellent lead free piezoelectric ceramics for piezoelectric actuators application, $Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.50}K_{0.50})_{0.96}[(Nb_{0.86}Ta_{0.10}Sb_{0.04})_{0.994}Co_{0.015}]O_3+0.0025SrO+0.15\;wt%K_2CO_3+x\;wt%Nb_2O_5$ (x = 0 - 0.5 wt%) (abbreviated as LNKNTSCS-xN) ceramics were fabricated by a conventional sintering technique. the phase structure, microstructure and electrical properties were investigated with a emphasis on the influence of the $Nb_2O_5$ content. High electrical properties of $d_{33}$=234 pC/N, kp=0.392, ${\varepsilon}_r$=1,395, ${\rho}=4.70g/cm^3$ were obtained from the specimen with x=0.4 wt%, which suggests that the composition ceramics is a promising lead-free piezoelectric material.

  • In this paper, in order to develop outstanding Pb-free composition ceramics, the $Fe_2O_3$-doped ($Na_{0.525}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037}$)($Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037}$)$O_3$ + 0.3 wt% $Bi_2O_3$ + x wt% $Fe_2O_3$ (x= 0~1.0 wt%)(abbreviated as NKL-NST) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics have been synthesized using the ordinary solid state reaction method. The effect of $Fe_2O_3$-doping on their microstructure and electrical properties were investigated. XRD diffraction pattern studies confirm that $Fe_2O_3$ completely diffused into the NKL-NST lattice to form a new stable soild solution with $Fe^{3+}$ entering the $Nb^{5+}$, $Sb^{5+}$ and $Ta^{5+}$ of B-site. And, phase structure of all the ceramics exhibited pure perovskite phase and no secondary phase was found in the ceramics. The ceramics doped with 0.6 wt% $Fe_2O_3$ have the optimum values of piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient($k_p$) and mechanical quality factor($Q_m$) : $d_{33}$ = 233 [pC/N], $k_p$= 0.44, $Q_m$= 95. These results indicate that the ($Na_{0.525}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037}$)($Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037}$)$O_3$ +0.3 wt% $Bi_2O_3$ + 0.6 wt% $Fe_2O_3$ ceramic is a promising candidate for lead-free piezoelectric ceramics.
