Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties of [Li0.04(Na0.5K0.5)0.96](Nb0.86Ta0.10Sb0.04)O3 Ceramics Doped with SrO (SrO의 첨가에 따른 [Li0.04(Na0.5K0.5)0.96](Nb0.86Ta0.10Sb0.04)O3세라믹스의 유전 및 압전 특성)

  • In this study, $[Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})_{0.96}](Nb_{0.86}Ta_{0.10}Sb_{0.04})O_3+xSrO$ (x=0, 0.0025, 0.005, 0.0075) ceramics were synthesized by the conventional mixed oxide method. The X-ray diffraction patterns demonstrated that ceramics possessed single perovskite structure. The SEM images indicate that microstructure can be obviously affected by a small amount of added SrO. The phase transition temperature tetragonal-cubic($T_c$) and orthorhombic-tetragonal($T_{o-t}$) shifts downward and upward with the increase of Sr addition, respectively. The excellent piezoelectric properties of $d_{33}=170[pC/N]$, $k_p=0.37$, $Q_m=64.12$, $T_{o-t}=153^{\circ}C$ and $T_c=370^{\circ}C$ were obtained from the 0.25 mol% Sr added ceramics sintered at $1,120^{\circ}C$ for 1 h.

  • Electrical properties and microstructure were investigated on the effects of $MnO_2$ and the lead-free $(Na_{0.44}K_{0.52}Li_{0.04})(Nb_{0.83}Sb_{0.07}Ta_{0.1})O_3$ ceramics with the addition of $MnO_2$ were fabricated by a conventional mixed oxide method. A gradual change in the crystal and microstructure was observed with the increase of $MnO_2$ addition. For the NKN-LST-xmol%$MnO_2$ sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$, bulk density increased with the addition of $MnO_2$ and showed maximum value at addition 1.0mol% of $MnO_2$. Curie temperature of the NKN-LST ceramics slightly decreased with adding $MnO_2$. The dielectric constant, piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$) and electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$) increased below 0.25mol% of $MnO_2$ addition, which might be due to the increase in density. The high piezoelectric properties = 145 pC/N, electromechanical coupling factor = 0.421 and dielectric constant = 2883 were obtained for the NKN-LST-0.25mol%$MnO_2$ sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 4h.

  • 최근, 비납 또는 납의 함량을 줄인 압전 세라믹에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있고, 그에 따른 여러 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 납을 포함하는 세라믹은 높은 소성온도에서 납의 휘발로 인한 특성저하와 환경오염 등이 문제가 된다는 것을 우리는 익히 알고 있다. 그렇기 때문에 PZT계 세라믹스를 대체할 우수한 특성을 가지는 새로운 비납 세리믹스의 조성개발이 시급하다. 비납계 세라믹스 중에서 NKN계를 바탕으로 하는 세라믹스는 가장 기대되는 재료이다. 일반적인 소성에서 순수한 NKN 세라믹은 가장 높은 압전 $d_{33}$상수가 100 pC/N이 넘지 않는다. 그런데 페로브스카이트 구조로된 NKN세라믹스의 A-site에 $Li^{1+}$이온을 치환하면 압전 특성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 그리고, 압전세라믹에서 분극처리는 필수적인데 분극처리는 압전성을 부여할 뿐 아니라 다른 물성도 변화시킴은 잘 알려져 있다. 그러므로 그에 대한 연구 또한 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 NKN세라믹스에 $Li_2CO_3$를 소결조제로 첨가하여 시편을 제작하였고, 제작된 시편의 특성을 분극전계에 따라 조사하였다.

Microstructures and Electrical Properties of (Na,K)NbO3-Based Piezoceramics Sintered with Glass Frit (유리 분말과 함께 소결한 (Na,K)NbO3계 압전체의 미세구조 및 전기적 특성)

  • $(Na,K)NbO_3$-based piezoelectric ceramics were synthesized by a liquid phase sintering method with a selected glass frit. The effects of the content of the glass frit and the sintering temperature on the microstructure and the electrical properties of the samples were investigated. With the 0.1 wt% of glass frit content, $(Na_{0.52}K_{0.44}Li_{0.06})(Nb_{0.84}Ta_{0.10}Sb_{0.06})O_3$ (NKL-NTS) ceramics showed the maximum values of the relative density (99.1%) and the electro-mechanical coupling factor ($k_p$: 0.32) at the sintering temperature of $1,050^{\circ}C$. It might mean that a liquid phase sintering with a suitable glass frit having the lower flow temperature could improve the relative density and the piezoelectric properties.

  • In this paper, the $0.995(Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.56}K_{0.44})_{0.96}(Nb_{0.90}Ta_{0.10})_{0.998}Zn_{0.005}O_3+0.005KNbO_3+xwt%\;TeO_2$ lead-free piezoelectric ceramics for energy harvesting devices were fabricated by the conventional mixed oxide method. The microstructure, dielectric, and piezoelectric properties were investigated as a function of the $TeO_2$ addition. All the specimens showed an orthorhombic phase structure. At the composition ceramics doped with 0.1 wt%$TeO_2$, the optimum values of $d_{33}$= 212 pC/N, $d_{33}{\cdot}g_{33}=9.54pm^2/N$, and kp=0.448 were obtained, respectively. The results indicate that the composition ceramics is a promising candidate for energy harvesting devices applications.

  • In this study, in order to develop the composition ceramics for lead-free ultrasonic motor, $[(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{0.95}Li_{0.05}(Nb_{0.96}Sb_{0.04})]O_3$ ceramics were fabricated using $Ag_2O$ as sintering aid and a conventional mixed oxide process and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the $SrTiO_3$ substitution. $SrTiO_3$ substitution enhanced density, dielectric constant$(\varepsilon_r)$ and electromechanical coupling factor$(k_p)$. However, mechanical quality factor was deteriorated. At the 0.5mol% $SrTiO_3$ substitution, density, electromechanical coupling factor$(k_p)$, dielectric constant$(\varepsilon_r)$ and piezoelectric constant$(d_{33})$ of specimen showed the optimum value of 4.437g/$cm^3$, 0.457, 1294, 265pC/N, respectively.

  • In this study, in order to develop the lead-free piezoelectric ceramics with high piezoelectric and dielectric properties, $[(K_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{0.95}Li_{0.05}(Nb_{0.96}Sb_{0.04})]O_3$ ceramics were fabricated using $Ag_2O$ as sintering aid and a conventional mixed oxide process and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the $SrTiO_3$ substitution. $SrTiO_3$ substitution enhanced density, dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}_r$) and electromechanical coupling factor($k_p$). Piezoelectric Properties in ZnO Dopped (Na,K)NbO3 Ceramics (ZnO가 첨가된 (Na,K)NbO3계 세라믹스의 압전 특성)

  • ZnO was doped up to 0.3 wt% for improving the electrical properties of lead-free $[Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.44}Ko_{0.52})-(Nb_{0.86}\;Ta_{0.10}\;Sb_{0.04})]O_3$ piezoelectric ceramics. The ceramics were fabricated with the conventional sintering processes. Crystal structure of the samples was tetragonal phase regardless of ZnO amount. However, the piezoelectric properties were varied with the ZnO amount. The electro-mechanical coupling factor $(k_p)$ was with the ZnO amount up to 0.2 wt% but decreased with the further addition. the maximum value of $k_p$ was 0.475. Density, piezoelectric charge constant and relative dielectric constant was also showed maximum value at 0.2 wt%. The maximum values are $4.75g/cm^3$, 275 pC/N, 1403, respectively. In contrast, the mechanical quality factor $(Q_m)$ was not varied with increasing the ZnO addition up to 0.2 wt% but rapidly increased at 0.3 wt%.

  • In this paper, in order to develop Pb-free piezoelectric ceramics, $[Li_{0.04}(Na_{0.44}K_{0.52})-(Nb_{0.86}Ta_{0.10}Sb_{0.04})]O_3$ ceramic was fabricated with the variation of ZnO addition. Piezoelectric properties of the ceramic were varied with the amount of ZnO addition and showed the maximum kp value at 0.2 wt% ZnO addition. Qm of ZnO added ceramics showed lower values than the non-added ceramics, however, the kp was increased by the addition of ZnO up to 0.2 wt%. At the sintering temperature of 1110$^{\circ}C$ and the calcination temperature of 850$^{\circ}C$, the optimal values of density=473g/$cm^3$, kp=0.473, $\varepsilon_r$=1403 were obtained.

  • In this study, $(1-x)(Na_{0.52}K_{0.443}Li_{0.037})(Nb_{0.883}Sb_{0.08}Ta_{0.037})O_3-x(Bi_{0.5}(Na_{0.7}K_{0.3})_{0.5}ZrO_3$ ceramics were fabricated by BNKZ substitution using a conventional solid-state method to develop excellent lead-free piezoelectric ceramics for piezoelectric actuators; their dielectric and piezoelectric properties were then investigated. All specimens were in the orthorhombic phase. $NKL-NSTO_3$ ceramics with x=0.01 showed excellent piezoelectric properties. The density (${\rho}$), piezoelectric charge constant ($d_{33}$), planar piezoelectric coupling coefficient ($k_p$), mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$), and dielectric constant (${\varepsilon}_r$) had optimized values of $4.56g/cm^3$, 208 pC/N, 0.43, 96, and 975, respectively.
