International public opinion on King Sejong Institute (KSI) is one of the most important factors influencing its overseas development as a worldwide non-profit educational service organization. China is one of the overseas strategic regions for KSI to spread the Korean Language. This paper intends to assess KSI's current public opinion environment in China. With content analysis of 87 news reports related to KSI in WeChat Official Accounts from 2014 to 2022, this paper attempts to assess the public opinion environment of KSI in China. In this paper, we show that the Chinese media' s current attention to KSI is generally lacking. The current reports focus more on activity narrations, and the main report factors come from local media and universities' oncampus news, which have relatively weak dissemination power and limited influences. On one side, the reasons are related to the characteristics of Chinese media, while the KSI establishment method in China also accounts for a lot. Therefore, it is necessary for the KSI to timely adjust the cooperation mode and publicity strategies according to the Chinese political and cultural characteristics to promote the sustainable development of KSI in China by continuously improving the public opinion environment.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the educational landscape for students across the globe, leading to a shift towards long-term online learning. This study aims to examine the changes in the health status of college and university students before and after the transition to online classes. We conducted a survey questionnaire among 200 students enrolled at K University in Gangwon-do, including participants from both the Department of Visual Optics and the Department of Physical Therapy. The survey employed a 5-point Likert scale to evaluate a range of health-related factors, including physical and mental well-being, alterations in lifestyle, and academic performance. Both male and female students experienced a decline in physical strength and exercise during the online class period, while mental health and overall happiness showed improvement, particularly among female students. Notable shifts in lifestyle emerged, including an increased usage of electronic devices and enhanced familial connections. The study also shed light on intriguing trends related to academic accomplishments and adherence to official quarantine guidelines. In sum, the findings of this study offer valuable foundational information for the maintenance of students' well-being during online learning, as well as the development of effective strategies for online education in future academic settings. -
In this study, we attempted to analyze the status of meal nutritional management at daycare centers and determine whether the need for improvement varies depending on their size. We divided into two groups based on the size of foodservice facilities. If meals for more than 50 people are provided at a time, they are classified as large-scale facilities (Large-scale group). If they are smaller, they are classified as small-scale facilities (Small-scale group). Dietitians visited each daycare center and checked 5 categories and 14 items. When comparing 5 categories, scores in the Small-scale group scored higher than those in the Large-scale group for 'Menu utilization' category. As a result of comparing the detailed 14 items, the scores of 'Indicate dietary information', 'Use menus suitable for those who are eligible for meals', and 'Posting menus by age in public places at foodservice facilities' were higher in the Small-scale group than in the Large-scale group. As such, there are differences in meal nutritional management according to the size of children's foodservice facilities therefore, it was found that customized education and management were needed according to the facilities' size.

This study examined the influence of ESG performance on the firm value of Chinese equipment manufacturing companies over the period from 2011 to 2020. The analysis indicated that while ESG performance exerted a negative influence on firm value, this impact was not statistically significant. These findings substantiate the Institutional Difference Hypothesis (IDH), which posits that country-specfic institutional variations sifnificantly shape the strategic decision-making of organizations. When disaggregating the three components of ESG, variations in the results were observed both for overall ESG performance and for each individual dimension. Of the three dimension elements, the environmental (E) and governance (G) facets had a negative bearing, whereas the social (S) facet had a positive influence. Notably, only the governance dimension (G) demonstrated a statistically significant influence. These outcomes affirm the institutional difference hypothesis, illustrating divergent results across distint ESG dimensions.

As the number of companion animals reaches 15 million in 2022, the pet wear market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of about 14.5% from KRW 1.5684 trillion in 2014 to a market size of over KRW 6 trillion in 2027. However, most of the pet clothing and various supplies currently in circulation are either cheap, low-quality products imported from China or other countries, or expensive products released by overseas luxury brands. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a brand that can compete with luxury products coming from overseas by developing premium pet fashion products using high-end functional fabrics produced domestically. This study seeks to propose ways to revitalize the domestic pet fashion market by examining the current status of global pet fashion, the domestic textile industry, and the current status of the pet fashion market. The suggestions and expected effects are as follows. First, active support is needed for the development of products using domestically produced fabrics, such as raising awareness through various subsidy projects and contests. Second, it is expected that small and medium-sized businesses will be revitalized through the production of pet fashion products using high-quality functional knit fabrics produced in northern Gyeonggi Province. Third, it is necessary to produce high-quality premium products through continuous and intensive support from the government and collaboration between large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. Fourth, there is an urgent need to provide opportunities to train experts for the expected effects of starting businesses and creating new jobs.

Through this incident, it reminds me of the idea that personnel appointments are everything once again. Public officials should try to be good at ethics and conduct. If a public official fails to fulfill his or her role as a public official, how can the public trust him or her? You should know that the country does not exist under that official. Looking back on the constitutional history after liberation, it is undeniable that the collusion between politicians and businessmen shocked the people with many suspicions and distrust, and the various irregularities they caused disrupted healthy democracy and the national economic order. In this respect, this paper focuses on Korean political reform measures, but also examines ways to improve public officials' ethics. This paper focuses on that political reform should move in the direction of revitalizing the function of the National Assembly and allowing autonomous and independent parliamentary activities. Parliamentary activities should not be too dampened, and it should not end in a brief promotion in consideration of election votes. The ruling and opposition parties should seriously consider and implement this political reform plan. As one of the people, I hope that this privilege reform plan can be a touchstone for the advancement of political culture. This paper was studied as follows. First, the purpose and justification of political reform were identified. Second, it emphasized the need to improve public service ethics. Third, the problems and improvement measures of political reform were considered.

The ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine increases concerns around the world. Russian President Vladimir Putin attacked Ukraine, with a clear aim to protect ethnic Russians from Ukraine, and further to keep Ukraine from joining NATO. However, as the war takes longer than expected, Russia is getting more isolated from the world. Given this, we analyzed editorials from the New York Times by paying attention to the newspaper's viewpoint or ideological stance to the war, under van Dijk (1998)'s ideological square within the framework of critical discourse analysis. The analysis results are as follows: first, Ukraine, the United States and the Europe were designated as the ingroup, whereas Putin was as its outgroup; second, the editorials used negative words for their outgroup presentation, highlighting the outgroup's bad properties, while the positive words for their ingroup presentations were rarely used, indicating that the editorials reinforce outgroup exclusion only; third, it was only Russian President Vladimir Putin who was in their outgroup, while Russians were depicted as scapegoats to satisfy the pleasures of the maniacal Putin. Thus, it can be concluded that with the strategy of negative exclusion, the editorials clearly show their negative ideology towards the war by using negative words for the outgroup almost six times as often as positive words for the ingroup.

The Israeli military's track record boasts victories in four Middle East wars and numerous counter-terrorism battles. This can be attributed to the implementation of a flexible defense acquisition system, allowing for the rapid acquisition of cutting-edge weaponry in response to ever-changing enemy vulnerabilities. If Korea were to adopt the defense acquisition system employed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) it has the potential to transform into a small but strong country, mirroring the accomplishments of the IDF. -
The increasing global average temperature and the emergence of various abnormal climate phenomena are already being experienced in reality. The problems arising from climate change are expanding and becoming catastrophic, despite the efforts of various organizations to prevent them. In order to avoid climate issues from becoming black elephants, we conducted interviews with emergency planning officer from various institutions to identify potential X-events caused by climate change. The results of analyzing the anticipated X-events by these emergency planning officer revealed a chain of ripple effects associated with their occurrence. This implies that once an X-event happens, its influence is broader and more significant. Through this study, we aim to share the understanding of the ripple effects of climate X-events with many people, raising awareness of the severity of climate issues. We hope that this will serve as a starting point for more institutions, individuals, and nations to make efforts in resolving climate problems, turning X-events into opportunities rather than crises.

This study analyzes the combat case involving military drones during the Azerbaijan-Armenian War, which erupted on September 27, 2020. The background of the war revealed that Azerbaijan extensively and aggressively employed offensive drones, which played a decisive role in reshaping the dynamics of the battlefield. Despite Azerbaijan's GDP of $4.639, which corresponds to the level of a developing country, and its 64th rank in global military strength, the country boldly allocated a significant portion of its budget to develop its drone capabilities in preparation for the war. As a result, Azerbaijan effectively utilized offensive drones acquired from Turkey and Israel to neutralize hundreds of tanks, armored vehicles, artillery units, and air defense systems. The purpose of this study is to examine this context and explore how our Korean military organization can enhance its combat capabilities by developing a drone combat system, thereby enabling an effective response posture against multifaceted threats.

This thesis discusses a performer's unpredictability and immediacy as a prerequisite quality and/or ability to facilitate his/her professional identity as a doer on stage. To examine the key principles and approaches, this research focuses on addressing a specific aspect of the performer's transformative experience from those, directors, and practitioners' concepts that inform and enhance the performer's passive readiness on stage. To be precise, this research attempt to interrogate and articulate the place and role of a performer's internal readiness and/or that of inner looking. The performer's inner intensity as seed of action signifies that his/her body is being in a state of listening to every tiny moment with his/her heightened awareness which in turn lead the performer's body to meet the demands of theatre, the whole-body engagement. Here, this thesis argues that the key principles of acting/training underlies the importance of a performer's ethical attitude and at the same time his/her responsibility for what the performer's choices and experiences within the performative involvement, that is, a process of preparation, are not technical matter but rather, the concepts, and/or approaches from those theatre artists' practical assumptions highlight a process of thorough encountering and/or listening to his/her body. Inhabiting and/or obtaining the principles through the performer's body means being free from his/her unnecessary trait(s) which in turn initiate and then move the whole body according to what is happening in the series of moment(s) on stage. What is more, such an appropriate psychophysical order reminds us of the significance of the nature of human/performer's body, namely, to being in a state of one's 'own' body as oneness. From this perspective, this thesis further argues that the performer's body necessarily need to be affected and/or triggered in a sense of responding to the given circumstance where the performer is working on in the here and now.

This study proposes learner participatory activities for learner-centered college liberal arts classes. In addition, it analyzes learners' perceptions of and satisfaction with learner-centered classes and identifies the issues that must be considered when planning learner-centered activities for college liberal arts classes. The study used a learner-centered participatory activity in which participants created a 4-cut cartoon addressing a specific theme. An open-ended questionnaire was administered to identify learners' attitudes about and satisfaction with the learner-centered classes. It showed that most learners (87.5%) were highly satisfied with the 4-cut cartoon creation activities in the learner-centered participatory class. Learners identified the burden- free nature of the class activities, the fact that they improved their understanding of class content, and that they were fun (not boring) as the main reasons they found the class activities satisfying. In liberal arts English classes, more diverse participatory class activities should be developed to arouse interest and motivation of learners and encourage learners' participation.

This study aimed to identify the determinants of physical frailty among the old-old adults in rural Korean communities. A total of 191 individuals aged 75 and older were included in the study, with the majority being female. Participants were classified into healthy (n=47), pre-frail (n=54), and frail (n=90) groups. Significant differences were found across these groups in terms of age, gender, education level, depression, and nutritional status. Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that age (OR=1.16), depression (OR=0.21), malnourishment (OR=10.85), and short physical performance ability (OR=0.70) were significant predictors of physical frailty. These findings underscore the multifaceted nature of physical frailty among old-old adults in urban-rural complex communities and highlight the need for comprehensive and integrated interventions. Such interventions should consider not only physical factors but also broader health conditions and socio-demographic influences impacting the elderly. Further research is needed to develop and evaluate interventions that address these determinants and promote health equity among the elderly population in urban-rural complex communities

A blind box is a kind of sales method in that you can only get the product information by opening the package. In 2019, blind box products began to grow rapidly in the Chinese market, and gradually formed a special "blind box economy". The particularity of blind box products is that driven by consumers' curiosity, consumers' purchasing behavior can be directly induced by the visual and tactile perception of commodity packaging. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the psychological needs of consumers and master the blind box packaging design elements under the influence of consumer psychology. This paper takes figurine blind box packaging elements as the research scope and Chinese blind box consumers as the research object. Through market research and literature study, We are designed to conduct a questionnaire survey and SPSS empirical study to find out the differences in the preferences of different consumer temperament types for blind box packaging, taking the characteristics of blind box products and consumer psychology as the relevant theoretical background. The research results show that among the blind box consumers, choleric type consumers predominate, the color of the blind box packaging presents red, orange, and yellow preference, and the material presents metal, and plastic preference. The shape of the blind box shows a preference for special shape.

This study investigates the psychological effects of positive/negative valence order in repeated exposure to a suspenseful text. Specifically, the study seeks to understand how the order in which positive and negative elements are presented in a narrative impacts the experience of suspense, arousal, and enjoyment in readers or listeners. Using a suspenseful short story, participants were exposed to narratives with varying valence orders in a repeated-measures design. The study employed self-report questionnaires and psychophysiological measurements to capture participants' psychological responses. The results supported the hypothesis that repeated exposure impacts suspense, with negative valence enhancing suspense and arousal. Moreover, the order of valence influenced participants' psychological responses, indicating that positive valence can mitigate the impact of repeated exposure. However, the influence on enjoyment was not significant. Psychophysiological measures, specifically skin conductance level (SCL), revealed trends of habituation over repeated exposure. The findings underscore the significance of negative valence in heightening suspense and suggest directions for future research in exploring diverse factors that contribute to suspense in both fictional and real-life contexts.

Stone cave paintings are continuous interactions as independent mediums in places such as text, images and stone cave architecture. Unlike Buddha statues, the narrative of the text always fascinates and guides the viewer to the timeliness of the image, that is, the narrative. In particular, in Buddhist art, Buddha statues are never simple images, and murals are never simple paintings. Before the Tang Dynasty, most unknown artists were artisans, and many artists still worked on murals in temples and palaces, and independent paintings such as scrolls and sides became an important form of painting after the Tang Dynasty, changing the mechanism of painting creation. In this paper, the graphic creation process prioritizes dedication and service, but we can still feel the creativity of the painters strongly. The historical resources of how to paint these paintings, the clues to the copies, and the precursor to the foreground, encourage the painters to constantly try to resemble each other and discover problems...Therefore, in this paper, it was confirmed that reinvention and creativity are very important, and that Dunhuang Buddhist art is the basis for artists' creation and the source of vitality.

Currently, China's urban landscape is undergoing a gradual shift from incremental development to stock renovation. Furthermore, the planning and development objectives of urban communities have evolved from solely focusing on physical space construction to promoting sustainable development within a humanistic society. The current approach to community planning and construction, which emphasizes a singular dimension of residential life, overlooks the multifaceted aspects of community life and production. This oversight leads to a lack of attention to interpersonal relationships within the community, difficulties in establishing a connection between people and their environment, and numerous other issues. Consequently, this paper seeks to redefine the concept of sociality within community spaces by considering the continuum of time and space within communities. It aims to delineate the roles of "power" and "rights" within the community context, with a particular focus on everyday life, in order to reevaluate strategies and methods for fostering dynamic community development.

The increasing incorporation of AI in video storyboard creation has been observed recently. Traditionally, the production of storyboards requires significant time, cost, and specialized expertise. However, the integration of AI can amplify the efficiency of storyboard creation and enhance storytelling. In Korea, AiSAC stands at the forefront of AI-driven storyboard platforms, boasting the capability to generate realistic images built on open datasets foundations. Yet, a notable limitation is the difficulty in intricately conveying a director's vision within the storyboard. To address this challenge, we proposed the application of image generation features from ChatGPT and Midjourney to AiSAC. Through this research, we aimed to enhance the efficiency of storyboard production and refined the intricacy of expression, thereby facilitating advancements in the video production process.

We aimed to investigate the proportions of MTB- and NTM-positive tests and the distribution patterns of species isolated by contracted testing agencies in South Korea. Respiratory specimens submitted to contracted testing agencies in South Korea for AFB culture from January 2014 to December 2021 were included (533,713 specimens in total). Trends based on MTB and NTM detection, patient sex and age, culture medium type, and testing year were analyzed. MTB and NTM positive detection increased in the patients. The average ages of MTB- and NTM-positive patients increased in those aged ≥61 years. For solid culture, the MTB detection rate decreased from 5.9% in 2014 to 3.3% in 2018 and increased to 4.7% in 2021; the NTM detection rate increased from 2.1% in 2014 to 3.4% in 2018 and 3.7% in 2021. For liquid culture, the MTB detection rate decreased from 8.3% in 2014 to 5.5% in 2018 and increased to 6.0% in 2021; the NTM detection rate increased from 3.5% in 2014 to 5.5% in 2018 and decreased to 5.3% in 2021. An isolation ratio reversal between MTB and NTM was observed in 2018. In this study, we provide information on mycobacterial isolation rates and species distributions using AFB culture test results from Korea's referral laboratories. Increased MTB- and NTM-isolation rates were observed in individuals aged ≥60 years, indicating the need for regular testing and focused management for them. Expanding liquid culture applications, which show higher positivity rates than solid culture methods, is necessary. -
Ukiyo-e, a pivotal facet of Japanese art, had a profound impact on Western art during the 19th century, contributing to the emergence of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Notably, Katsushika Hokusai's "Great Wave" remains an enduring masterpiece. Ukiyo-e's historical trajectory is intricately linked to the socio-cultural context of its time. Japan's early artistic influences derived from China, evolving through the Nara and Heian periods. Ukiyo-e emerged from the Yamato-e tradition, characterized by its transition from religious themes to secular subjects. Zen Buddhism's influence during the Muromachi Shogunate shifted focus to ink wash painting, which eventually became accessible to the masses. The Azuchi-Momoyama period introduced lavish, colorful works. The Edo Shogunate upheld Kano School for the elite, while folklore painting gained popularity among the commoners, leading to the creation of Ukiyo-e. Ukiyo-e diversified its subjects, including beauty, geisha, sumo, landscapes, and more. The Asakusa district's "Shin-Yoshiwara" added to its vibrant themes. By the late 19th century, Ukiyo-e transcended its roots, encompassing landscapes, wildlife, and beyond. I explore Ukiyo-e's aesthetics and its influence on Impressionism, focusing on "The Three Masters of Ukiyo-e" - Kiyotagawa Komaro, Katsushika Hokusai, and Utagawa Hiroshige.

The South Korean ethnic diaspora US lobby shows efficacy as an interest group in generating influence in American foreign and domestic public policy making. The persuasive portrayal of South Korea as a critical Cold War US ally reinforced US amenability to pro-South Korea lobbying. Also, the South Korean US diaspora is a comparatively recent immigrant group, thus its lingering resistance to assimilation facilitates its political mobilization to lobby the US government. One source of this influence includes the foundational legacy of proselytizing Western and particularly American religious social movement representatives in Korean religiosity and society. US protestant Christianity acquired a strong public association with emerging Korean nationalism in response to Japanese imperialism and occupation. Hostility towards Japanese colonialism followed by the threat from Soviet-sponsored, North Korean Communism meant Christianity did not readily become a cultural symbol of excessive external, US interference in South Korean society by South Korean public opinion. The post-Cold War shift in US foreign policy towards targeting so-called rogue state vestiges of the Cold War including North Korea enhanced further South Korea's influence in Washington. Due to essential differences in the perceived historical role of American influence, extrapolation of the South Korean development model is problematic. US hegemony in South Korea indicates that perceived alliance with national self-determination constitutes the core of soft power appeal. Civilizational appeal per se in the form of religious beliefs are not critically significant in promoting American polity influence in target polities in South Korea or, comparatively, in the Middle East. The United States is a perceived opponent of pan-Arab nationalism which has trended towards populist Islamic religious symbolism with the failure of secular nationalism. The pronounced component of evangelical Christianity in American core community nationalism which the Trump campaign exploited is a reflection of this orientation in the US.

The study identified the various causes of odor problems, the discomfort they cause, and the importance of the public health and environmental issues associated with them. To solve the odor problem, you must identify the cause and perform an accurate analysis. Therefore, we proposed a CNN-Transformer hybrid model (CTHM) that combines CNN and Transformer and evaluated its performance. It was evaluated using a dataset consisting of 120,000 odor samples, and experimental results showed that CTHM achieved an accuracy of 93.000%, a precision of 92.553%, a recall of 94.167%, an F1 score of 92.880%, and an RMSE of 0.276. Our results showed that CTHM was suitable for odor analysis and had excellent prediction performance. Utilization of this model is expected to help address odor problems and alleviate public health and environmental concerns.

This study aimed to develop a VR-based digital therapeutic intervention for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. The research combined medical data with virtual reality technology to develop an algorithm for ADHD diagnostic scales and implemented a VR-based digital therapeutic platform using a head-mounted display (HMD). This platform can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in children and adolescents. Additionally, we four VR games were developed, including archery timing, Antarctic exploration, grocery shopping, and rhythm-based drumming(RBD), incorporating various psychiatric treatment techniques based on cognitive-behavioral therapy(CBT). To evaluate the usability of this digital therapeutic intervention, a group of experts specialized in counseling psychology participated in the study. The evaluations received highly positive feedback regarding the ability to access the system menu while wearing the HMD, the consistency of terminology used in menus and icons, the usage of actual size for 3D graphic elements, and the support for shortcut key functionality. The assessments also indicated that the games could improve attention, working memory, and impulse control, suggesting potential therapeutic effects for ADHD. This intervention could provide a daily treatment method for families experiencing financial constraints that limit hospital-based therapies, thereby reducing the burden.

The purpose of this study is to create and present a formalized module of ISP (Information Strategy Plan), a smart factory consulting method that is helpful to companies or consultants who will build smart factories. Order of study is First, the theoretical research direction is established through the investigation of related papers. Second, ISP policy research practices are compared to derive practical implementation methods. Third, in order to derive a standardized module method related to the final smart factory ISP, related cases of the government and individuals are compared. As a result of previous research, ISP (Information Strategy Planning), a consulting methodology, is similar to Deming's PDCA, and is regarded as Plan (environment and current status analysis), Do (establishment of future model goals), Check (establishment of implementation plan), and Act (follow-up management). As a result of the study, we obtained the following results. The first step is to analyze the current status and identify the purpose of introduction and problems in plant operation. In the second step, establish a consulting plan and derive a proposal description, strategic task, and master plan. Step 3 establishes detailed action plans, evaluates consulting outputs and consulting, and reports performance. Step 4 is established as follow-up management consulting. The limitation of the study is that although related data were compared to develop the consulting methodology into a standardized module, FGI analysis through experts or Delphi survey were not conducted, so there is a limit to the reliability of the mapping results.

This paper proposes a tourist destination recommendation application that combines a chatbot and a recommendation system. The data to be entered into the chatbot was through big data on social media. Through TEXTOM, a total of 22,701 data were collected over a one-year period from January 2022 to January 2023. Non-terms that interfere with analysis were removed through the data purification process. Using refined data, network visualization and CONCOR analysis were used to identify the information users want to obtain about travel to Jeju Island, and categories for each cluster were organized. The content was intuitively organized so that even those who approached it for the first time could easily use it, reducing the difficulty of operating the application. In this paper, users can select their own preferences and receive information. In addition, a tool called a chatbot allows users to focus more on the process of acquiring information by gaining a sense of reality while operating the application. This suggests an application that can reach the purpose of the curator by affecting the user's desire to visit tourist attractions.

The purpose of this study is to suggest improvement plans for prevention regulations by reflecting the toxicity, fire and explosion effects of hazardous materials factories and surrounding areas using an off-site consequence assessment program. Regarding the effects of the hydrogen cyanide leak accident, which is the 1st petroleum of the 4th class flammable liquid, Areal Locations of Hazardous Atmospheres (ALOHA) program was used to compare and analyze the extent of damage effects for toxicity, overpressure, and radiation. As a result, the toxicity was analyzed to exceed 5km in the area with Acute exposure guideline level (AEGL)-2 concentration or higher, the overpressure was 103m in the range of 1 psi or more, and the radiant heat was analyzed to be 724m in the range of 2kw/m2 or more. Toxicity and radiation affected the area outside the hazardous material storage area, but the overpressure was limited to the inside of the hazardous material storage area. Therefore, we propose to improve the safety management of hazardous materials by conducting a risk assessment for hazardous materials and reflecting the results in internal and external emergency response plans to prepare prevention regulations.
