The paper is written to determine the optimal search pattern through search effects assessment on underwater targets. 5 types of search patterns are introduced such as, M-type pattern, W-type pattern, rectangular pattern, 4-type pattern and square pattern, In addition, Operational effectiveness analysis model is developed to obtain the optimum search pattern. The algorithms and mathematical models are also suggested to analyze the required search times, AUV's movement patterns, moving distances, overlapping areas and so on.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of the removable ankle-foot orthosis (RAFO) which was developed to improve the gait of stroke patients. The subjects of this study were five stroke patients who agreed to participate in this study by signing a written consent form. To verify gait improvement after wearing the orthosis, a Timed Up and Go test and Functional Gait Assessment were performed, and spatiotemporal gait variables such as gait speed, cadence, stride length, double limb support, and the efficient gait test of body sway angle were performed. For every variable, the differences prior to and after wearing the RAFO were compared using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Every gait variable improved significantly after wearing the RAFO compared to prior to wearing it. The pilot study will enhance future efforts to evaluate orthotic function objectively during gait in stroke patients.

This study was conducted to develop and apply a computer-based multimedia nutrition education program for preschoolers based on the Dick and Carey model of instructional design. The Dick and Carey model included 4 phases: analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The program's instructional goals, objectives, assessment instruments, content, examples, and practice questions with feedback were written in the design phase. To be familiar with the 5 food groups, 'Nutrition exploration' were programmed using Hyperstudio. 'Nutrition exploration' was designed as a five-session, interactive multimedia game, with each session taking about 5 minutes to complete. Nineteen preschoolers, aged 6, volunteered to participate formative evaluation. The effectiveness of the program was examined using a pre-post test design. Participants were recruited by personal contact at the individual preschool education center. The application was carried out during 4 weeks. The results showed that intervention participants significantly increased knowledge between pre-test and post-test. The results support using IMM (interactive multimedia) to disseminate nutrition education to the target population. This research provides the basis for continuing development of computer-based nutrition education materials.

In accordance with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulatory guide(NRC RG) 1.20(Rev.3), we are writing a comprehensive vibration assessment program(CVAP) design control document(DCD) and a technical report for U.S. NRC design certification(DC) of an Advanced Power Reactor 1400(APR1400) nuclear power plant(NPP). CVAP of an APR1400 NPP for U.S. NRC DC is classified as a non-prototype category 1 type. Therefore, CVAP DCD of reactor vessel internals(RVI) and steam generator internals(SGI) consist of analysis and full inspection program. However, piping system of primary and secondary system will be described as measurement program.

An Evaluation System of Personal Information Competency was developed to evaluate individual Information competency and maturity levels in the enterprises of the information environment. The Evaluation System measures the requirements of information knowledge, skills, and mindset with the evaluation indices of personal information maturity. The indices are customized to four types of business departments - strategy Planning, development/maintenance, business applications, and administration support. Also, a maturity model of personal information competency is defined for interpretation of the evaluation results. The system was applied to assessment of actual human resources, 124 workers in an enterprise, to testify to its practical value. The case evaluation procedures include a series of questionnaires, written tests and application tests.

A case of course-embedded assesment in electronic engineering was studied. In particular, a realistic evaluation system was developed in consideration of characteristics of the major field and university realities. 10 program outcomes were mapped with all courses in the program. 5 probe courses were selected and their course learning objectives were defined. Measurements of the course learning objective were made by term project and written course test. With using course-embedded assesment, the measurement system of the program outcomes should be changed.

The evaluation items to assess the consumer needs are thought to be varied depending on their age, education and income. It should be noted that consumer needs are getting too diversified to notice them in time due to the rapid economic, social and cultural development. It is, therefore, considered improper to try to assess the level of consumer satisfaction and correct consumer needs by employing one evaluation method for the vastly diversified consumer types. This research is going to conduct a written questionnaire survey to the apartment dwellers in order to identify like dweller groups according to their age, income and education. Then the scope of personal characteristics of each group will be identified and the importance assessment model will be developed. Then the items on the POE will be weighted according to the assessed importance. Finally a method of developing the customer satisfaction index will be produced to quantify how much the consumers are satisfied with the project.

The purpose of this study lies in finding out a betterment of ongoing experimental training program in science for the secondary science teachers to increase their training ability more effectively. For this, from 2010 July to September, a preliminary study on secondary science experiment training, questionnaire on the satisfaction of 128 secondary teachers in U metropolitan city with the training program were carried out which were contributive to the preparation of a better plan for the training program to be helpful for the teachers at schools. Following are the study results. First, the class theme should be selected by the teachers who participate in the experiment for the year to raise their training ability for experiment class. Second, the direct activity of the teachers' joining in experiment training for the development of experiment training module, and the demonstration with the developed module-used experiment class need to be included to the program Third, the assessment for the demonstration of experiment attitude, the development process of experiment training module, would be more advisable compared with that for written examination for the teachers joined in the experiment training to concentrate more on the experimental activities and to get richer experiment experience As this study results show, the theme selection, class method and assessment method involved in ongoing experiment training need for betterment for the science teachers to apply it at schools and this improved experiment training program proposed by this study is suitable for that under a condition it has to be modified and supplemented to the distinct features of every city and province.

본 연구는 노인 여가활동의 질적 측면 평가도구에 대한 연구를 통합적으로 고찰하고 정리하였다. 국내·외 3개의 데이터베이스에서 232편의 논문이 검색되었고 선정기준에 부합하는 9편을 선정하였다. 9편 중 5편(55.5%)이 최근 5년 이내에 작성되었고 6개 국가에서 시행되었다. 평가도구의 문항 수는 20~40문항이 6편(66.6%)으로 가장 많았고 답변방식은 9편 중 7편이 3~7점 리커트 척도를 사용하였다. 여가활동 관련 변수는 총 37개였고 정신관련 변수가 가장 많았다. 기존에 개발된 평가도구들은 특정 변수의 측정에 치우쳐있거나 국내 실정에 맞지 않았다. 노인여가활동에 대한 관심도가 높아짐에 따라 본 연구는 추후 국내 노인들의 여가활동 특성을 반영한 질적 평가도구 개발에 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study was done to analyze the consumption patterns of health functional food (HFF) as well as to perform needs assessment for the development of web-contents on HFF according to age of adults. The subjects were 238 male and female adults, divided into 4 groups by their age. This study collected all information by self-administrated questionnaires. The awareness on HFF was high in the older adults. The younger adults showed more negative responses to reliability and safety on HFF. The main reason for the consumption of HFF was to supplement nutrients and to prevent diseases. The main types of HFF consumed by adults were nutritional supplementary food, red ginseng products, and glucosamine products. There was higher consumption of nutritional supplementary food in the younger adults and glucosamine products in the older adults. Internet users had low level of satisfaction, with tendency to complain poor contents, reliability, difficulties in searching as problems of the pre-existing HFF websites. As useful methods for provision of information on HFF, most adults wanted general information, articles written by experts and videos. They also wanted to know the safety and side effects of HFF. Requirement of contents composition were various in-depth information, clear indication of citation, fresh updated data while that of display composition was easily-findable, uncomplicated, allowing mutual exchange of communication through bulletin board. These results can be used as basic data that reflect the consumer's needs for developing HFF web-contents according to age of adults.
