Impact Analysis for Page Size of Desktop and Smartphone Environments under Fast Storage Media (고속 스토리지 탑재에 따른 데스크탑과 스마트폰 환경의 페이지 크기 영향력 분석)

  • Due to the recent advent of fast storage media, the memory management system needs to reconsider the configuring of a page unit. In this paper, we analyze the effect of the page size on memory performance as fast storage is adopted. Specifically, we analyze the TLB hit ratio and the page fault ratio as the workload and the page size are varied in desktop and smartphone environments. Our analysis shows that the influence of the page size depends on the system and workload conditions in desktop systems. However, in smartphone systems, the effect of the page size on memory performance is not large, and is not also sensitive to workloads. We expect that the analysis of this paper will be helpful in configuring the page size of given workloads under the system with fast storage media.

  • 본 논문에서는 유닉스 파일 시스템에서의 버퍼캐쉬 크기에 따라 사용자 데이터와 메타데이터의 버퍼 캐쉬 히트율을 분석하였다. 그리고 메타 데이터가 유닉스 운영체제 파일 시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이를 기반으로 버퍼 캐쉬의 동적 특성과 성능의 장애 요인들을 분석하였다. 유닉스 운영체제에서 사용되는 사용자 데이터와 메타데이터에 대한 버퍼 캐쉬의 동적인 동작을 분석하기 위하여 trace-driven방법을 이용하였으며 이를 위하여 시뮬레이터를 작성.사용하였다. 파일 시스템은 특정 유닉스 버전에 영향을 받지 않기 위해 USF[1]에 기초하였고, 작업부하(workload)로는 Sprite- trace 데이터 중 allspice 서버에서 추출한 데이터를 사용하였다.

  • 데이터베이스 시스템을 효율적으로 운영하기 위하여 데이터베이스 관리자는 시스템의 자원 사용과 응용 프로그램에 의한 워크 로드의 특징을 알아야 한다. 워크 로드 분석을 위해 테이블, 리소스, 튜닝 방법론 등 여러 연구가 진행되어 왔으나 워크 로드를 형성하는 역할이 특정 테이블에만 집중되어 있는 현상에 대해서는 연구된 적이 없었다. 본 논문에서는 운영 시스템의 테이블 간의 연관 관계를 도출해 보고 연관 관계를 가지는 테이블 들이 워크 로드에 참여하는 유형과 횟수를 분석하는 워크 로드 분석 도구를 제안하고 대형 CRM 분석 시스템에 적용하여 데이터베이스 시스템의 워크로드를 분석해 본다.

Therefore, this study investigated the percentage of female construction site managers by conducting a survey of current male and female construction site managers and then analyzed the workload, work difficulty, work importance and performance level of female employees in charge of public affairs, which is the most common tasks.

  • 본 고에서는 약 100 만건의 건강정보를 이용하여 3-Node MongoDB 플랫폼 환경에서 AES, 3DES, ARIA 암호 알고리즘을 이용하여 암호화를 적용하는 방법을 알아본다. 각각의 암호 알고리즘별로 YCSB 성능테스트 툴을 이용하여 다양한 Workload 별로 성능을 테스트를 수행한 뒤, 그 결과를 비교·정리한다.

  • 움직임 검출은 비디오 감시 시스템의 작업부하를 줄여주는 주요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 움직임 검출 알고리즘의 작업부하를 분석하고, 움직임 검출의 정확도와 작업부하를 고려한 경우의 최적 알고리즘을 도출한다. 비디오 감시 시스템에서 획득된 실제 데이터를 이용한 실험 결과, 움직임 프레임 비율이 낮은 환경의 비디오 감시 시스템에서는 차 프레임과 GMM을 이용하는 알고리즘이, 움직임 프레임 비율이 높은 환경에서는 GMM만을 이용하는 알고리즘이 정확도와 수행시간을 통합한 성능지수 관점에서 가장 효과적인 움직임 검출 솔루션이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Development of an office work analysis method for office automation (사무자동화 구현을 위한 사무작업분석방법 개발)

  • The subject on office automation is gradually gaining more improtance due to the fact that the efficiency of office systems contribute to the increase of productivity as much as manufactoring systems themselves. For successful implementation of office automation, one must carefully plan and execute various steps such as the analysis of office tasks, personnel training, workplace design, equipment design, and so on. The previous studies related to the subject has not been concrete enough to be practically helpful for the actual realization of office automation. In this paper, a new analysis method of the office task is proposed. This analysis method is based on the Rasmussen's and Bennette's methods. The Rasmussen's method describes a way of quantifying mental workload while the Bennette's method provides a tool for the analysis of the office task. The posner's and Rouse's methods are also employed for the detailed division of tasks. The method proposed in this paper is believed to be easier for use and expected to be more helpful for us to cope with the clear definition of office tasks that is vital to successful implementation of office automation.

Factors Affecting the Turnover Intention of the New Graduated Nurses (신규간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study examined the factors that affect the turnover intention of newly graduated nurses. The basic data was utilized for developing a personnel resource maintenance program for newly graduated nurses. New nurses working at a general hospital in City D were surveyed from May 2016 to April 2018. The questionnaires completed by 232 volunteers were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program, and the descriptive statistical analyses included t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Among the general characteristics of new nurses, their workload displayed significant differences in proactive behavior, organizational commitment, social support, and the turnover intention. There was a negative correlation between organizational commitment, employer support, peer support, and the turnover intention. The influential factors were organizational commitment and workload, and the explanatory power for turnover intention was 36.1%. Higher organizational commitment, along with appropriate workload, led to a lower turnover intention. Therefore, appropriate work allocation through work analysis is necessary to lower the nurses' turnover intention. Developing a program that can increase proactive behavior and implementing various intervention strategies can increase the participation of newly graduated nurses when establishing and implementing appropriate hospital policies.

Classification of Nursing Activities and Workload Analysis in a New Open Hospital (환자중심 간호업무 향상을 위한 간호업무 측정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to confirm the classification of nursing activity and to analyze the time of nursing workload in a new open hospital. The data were collected from 20 nurses working in 6 general nursing units by 4 trained observers. The tools used for this study were an observation recording sheet and a classification sheet of nursing activity. The classification sheet was constructed to be adaptable to each hospital system based on the instrument described in the literature. The results of the study are as follows : The direct nursing activities consisted of 6 sections, 33 subsections and the indirect nursing activities consisted of 14 sections, 53 subsections. The direct nursing activities included medication, measuring and observation, care of therapies, care of physical comfort, laboratory and treatment. The indirect nursing activities included preparation of medical utensils, collection of information and assessment, recording, phone communication, professional interaction related to patients, personal time, assigning work to staff, patient eaucation and training, interaction with lab, transfer of administration of utensils, checking physician's order, dietary service, management of pollution and contagion, guide direction. Nurses spent 127.6min for direct nursing activity during day duty. It was 24.5% of total nursing activity. Within that activity medication had the highest percentage of time(40.09%), followed by communication and education with patient(24.76%), measuring and observation (16.93%), laboratory and treatment (12.85%), care of therapies(3.21%) and care of physical comfort (2.16%). The time breakdown for indirect nursing activities is as follows ; the preparation of medical utensils 22.3%, collection of information and assessment 20.29%, recording 20.27%, phone communication 8.14%, professional interaction related to patients 7.33%, personal time 7.24%, with the remaining timeshared by staffing, patient education and training, interaction with lab, transfer of administration of utensils, checking physician's order, dietary service, management of pollution and contagion, guide direction. In the analysis of the relationships between the working time and the work allocation characters of the nurses(including nurse's experiences. nurse-patients ratio, nurse-rooms ratio, and character of nursing unit) ; There were no significant differences in direct-indirect nursing times between nurse's career years. There was significant difference in direct nursing time between assigned patient numbers. The nurses assigned larger number of patients spent significantly more time in direct nursing care than that of the smaller. On the other hand, there was no significant difference in indirect nursing workload between the assigned patient numbers. There were no significant differences in direct-indirect nursing time between an allocated patient's room numbers. There was significant difference in working time between working places. The nurse in the medical unit spent more time in direct nursing care than her counterpart in the surgical unit. However there was no difference in direct nursing time between two groups. The study results indicate that nurses spent less time in the direct nursing care than in the previous studies even though the hospital system has been modernized. On the other hand they spent much more time for the coordinating role within the interdisciplinary team and for the overlapping paperwork. Therefore it is recommended that patient oriented job description and more efficient usage of modernized utilities be made.

Is the Risk Unloaded on Dispatch and Service Supplier?: Influence of Indirect Employment on Safety, Health and Satisfaction (위험은 파견, 용역 직원에게 외주화 되는가?: 간접 고용이 안전, 건강, 만족에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of employment type(direct employment, dispatch and service supplier) on risk factor exposure, health and satisfaction. The data of the 4th wave of Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS) conducted by Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) in South Korea was used. Business support service industry and manufacturing industry were selected as appropriate industries for analysis. In the final analysis, 5,865 in the manufacturing industry and 1,361 in the service support industry were included. Various variables related risk, safety, satisfaction and health such as risk factor exposure, MSDs exposure, work environment satisfaction, injury probability, dangerous work, workload, physical health problem, perceived health, positive emotions, stress, participation for decision making and experience of accident/disease were analyzed and company size and age was controled. An ANCOVA was conducted to identify significant mean differences of risk, safety, satisfaction and health related variables among direct employed workers, dispatch and service supplier workers. The results showed that all the variables except stress showed a significant difference depending on employment type in the service supply industry. In the manufacturing industry, there were significant difference in the risk factor exposure, MSDs exposure, work environment satisfaction, workload, physical health problem, perceived health, and participation depending on employment type. These results indicated that the risks are unloaded to subcontract and outsourcing company workers. Based on these results, the implications of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
