초등학교 원로교사의 생활지도 경험에 관한 해석학적 탐구 (An Interpretive Inquiry into the Guidance Experiences of Senior Elementary Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was closely to explore the guidance experiences of senior elementary teachers who have had over 30 years of teaching experiences in elementary school based on interpretive(or hermeneutic) inquiry. The entry research question was 'What are the guidance experiences of senior elementary teachers like?' Seven senior elementary teachers working for O elementary School in G city participated in this study voluntarily. Each participant was interviewed twice in a consecutive manner. 14 periods of interview were completed all together and each period took about 40-60 minutes. In conclusion, this study conceptualized the guidance experiences of the senior elementary teachers(participants) as follows: First, the concepts of guidance held by the participants were conceptualized as 1) supporting and caring activity helping students to lead joyful school life, 2) assisting activity helping students to grow on good basic life habits, 3) character building activity helping students to lead integrative growth. Second, the fields and contents of guidance held by the participants were conceptualized as basic life habits, manners, and health & safety. Interestingly, these concepts were evolved in connection with their personal, practical teaching experiences rather than in-service teacher education. Third, the guidance methods frequently used by the participants were co-work with parents, exemplary storytelling, counselling, and praise. The participants applied these methods differently according to the grade, individual difference, and school curriculum policy to some degree. Fourth, the participants have experienced a lot of struggles with students, teachers, and parents in doing their guidance practices throughout the whole teaching career. Their guidance experiences commonly shifted from more teacher-centered or authoritative to more student-centered or relational way as their teaching years accumulated. Interestingly, all the participants more or less lived as lifelong learners to create their own right space as senior teachers in today's competitive and challenging landscape. This study strongly suggests that responsible teacher education can playa great role of enabling senior teachers to cope with guidance issues successfully. Compared with the speedy social change, the teacher education in Korea had been so authoritative, provider-based, subject-based until recently and it have not met the needs and wants of the elementary teachers in field. This trend has significantly hindered them from catching up with the needs of the speedy social change in terms of contemporary guidance issues. This study is limited in that the data is solely collected based on interview. So, an observational research is strongly suggested in order to uncover the situated understanding of the guidance experiences of elementary senior teachers.

장면화 기법을 통한 무의식적 경험의 작품화에 관한 연구 -본인 경험을 바탕으로 한 화예 작품 창작을 중심으로- (A Study on the Art Works Creation of the Subconscious Experiences though the Scene Setting Technique : Focused on the Floral Art Work Creation based on Artist's Experiences)

  • 본 연구는 화예 작품 창작에 있어 작가가 겪은 일련의 개인적인 경험과 그로부터 발현된 느낌을 의식적 차원에서뿐 아니라 무의식의 차원에서 방법적 과정을 통해 도출하여 작품화하는 시도를 행한 연구이다. 무의식의 수준에서 겪은 내적 경험과 느낌을 포착하기 위하여 내용의 서사화를 보완하는 장면화 기법을 도입하였다. 구체적으로는 포착된 내적 심상으로서 장면을 기록, 보존하는 방법으로 시각 노트 기법과 이미지 리서치 기법을 적용하였다. 내용적으로는 연구자가 패션디자인을 배우기 위해 프랑스 뚜르(Tours)라는 작은 마을에서 보낸 준비기간과 ESOMD International Paris 라는 패션학교에서의 치열하고 힘겨운 일상의 경험을 작품화하였다. 그를 통해 Deja Vu, 'ㅅ(서울-파리)', '붕(崩)(두 개의 달 위의 산)', '등(燈) (Load out and Stay)', 'ㅇ' 등 5개의 작품을 창작함에 있어 연구자의 개인적 경험과 그로부터 발현된 느낌을 의식적 차원에서뿐 아니라 무의식의 차원에서 방법적 과정을 통해 심층적으로 도출하여 작품화할 수 있었다. 또한 그 창작을 통해 연구자는 흔들림 속에서 자신을 발견해가는 내적 경험과 그를 통한 개인적 실현의 과정을 탐색할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 한 창작자가 개인 내면의 무의식적 경험을 발굴하여 창작에 활용한 방법적 접근을 보여준 질적 연구 사례로서 그 의미를 찾을 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study aimed to develop the educational program for the Healthy Families Center. This study focused on married, working women and the difficulties they face balancing work and family. The data were collected from interviews with eight married, working women, six professionals from the Healthy Families Center. The program is composed of three parts. The first looks at the identities of married, working women. The second part focuses on the everyday lives of married, working women and the experiences they have balancing work and housewife duties. The third part outlines strategies for the balancing of work and family.

Do Personality and Organizational Politics Predict Workplace Victimization? A Study among Ghanaian Employees

  • Background: Workplace victimization is considered a major social stressor with significant implications for the wellbeing of employees and organizations. The aim of this study was to examine the influences of employees' personality traits and organizational politics on workplace victimization among Ghanaian employees. Methods: Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 631 employees selected from diverse occupations through convenience sampling. Data collection tools were standardized questionnaires that measured experiences of negative acts at work (victimization), the Big Five personality traits, and organizational politics. Results: The results from hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that among the personality traits neuroticism and conscientiousness had significant, albeit weak relationships with victimization. Organizational politics had a significant positive relationship with workplace victimization beyond employees' personality. Conclusion: The study demonstrates that compared with personal characteristics such as personality traits, work environment factors such as organizational politics have a stronger influence on the occurrence of workplace victimization.

청년 1인가구의 여가생활과 여가의 의미 (Leisure Activities of Young Single-person-households)

  • This study focuses on the leisure activities of young, single-person households. Data collection involved selecting and interviewing eight cases. The results are as follows: 1. The leisure activities of young, single people are divided between weekdays and weekends. 2. Important factors affecting these leisure activities are time, money, and cognition. 3. Respondents maintain their work-life balance by focusing on weekdays and weekends, they work and study intensively on weekdays and spend their time and money on leisure and rest on weekends. 4. Young people want a chance to meet and share their experiences with others. This point must be central to planning the Healthy Family Support Center program.

정신보건사회복지사 수련생의 스트레스 경험 (Stress Experiences by Trainees of Mental Health Social Worker)

  • 본 연구는 정신보건사회복지사 수련생이 현실적으로 부딪히는 수련스트레스를 수련생의 입장에서 기술해봄으로써 보다 효과적인 임상교육의 실천방안을 마련하고자 시도하였으며, 질적연구방법으로 접근하여 분석하였다. 연구대상은 정신보건수련기관에서 수련을 하고 있는 수련생 9명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 포커스그룹으로 1-2회 이루어졌으며, 소요시간은 2시간내외였다. 연구참여자들이 진술한 내용을 분석한 결과 의미있는 진술은 85개였으며, 이를 근간으로 연구자가 구성한 의미는 32개로 도출되었다. 이들 구성된 의미들을 유사한 내용으로 묶고 분류한 결과 9개의 주제가 형성되었으며 4개의 주제묶음으로 범주화되었다. 수련과정에서 경험하는 스트레스경험으로는 '대인관계가 어렵다', '수련일정이 빡빡하다', '기관에서 수련생에 대한 배려가 없다', '수련교육에 대한 체계성이 없다'로 4개의 주제묶음으로 분류되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 중심으로 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

어린 두 자녀를 둔 3교대 간호사의 양육 갈등 경험: 현상학적 연구 (Experience of Conflict in Three Shift Nurses Rearing more than Two Kids: Phenomenological Study)

  • Purpose: To understand the essentials of rearing conflict experience by three shift nurses in advanced general hospitals. Methods: The design was a qualitative research of phenomenology. Participants were 7 shift nurses working in advanced general hospitals who were rearing young children. Data were collected individually through in-depth interview on their life experiences. Data were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological methodology. Results: Eighteen themes were drawn from 256 meaningful experiences and these themes were integrated to six theme clusters. The most influencing themes were 'Regret that I cannot satisfy even the slightest wish', 'Fail to care for kids', and 'Mutual feeling to care giver between appreciation and inconvenience'. Other themes were as follows: 'Body and mind are broken', 'The need for a three-shift system to support nurses who are rearing children', 'Doing my best for work and child rearing'. Conclusion: The nature of three-shift nurses working in advanced hospital and caring kids is explained as 'lives with conflict' between work and home. This study suggests it is necessary to establish a 24-hour care center for 3-shift nurses to keep working while rearing their children.

재독 한인여성의 생애체험에 대한 질적 사례연구 -'노동이주여성-되기' - (A Qualitative Case Study on the Life Experiences of a Korean Woman in Germany -'Becoming-Work Migrant Woman'-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 재독 한인여성의 생애체험을 내부자적인 관점에서 분석함으로써, 이주여성의 고유성을 이해하는 것이다. 이에, 재독 한인여성 A씨의 생애사를 Rosenthal의 내러티브-생애사 연구방법에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과, A씨의 생애는 자신을 "식민화" 하는 '다수자'의 표준적인 기준에 균열을 일으켜 '탈영토화' 하는 '노동자-되기', '이주자-되기', '여성-되기' 등의 '배치체'로 구성된 '노동이주여성-되기'의 과정으로, 이러한 '노동이주여성-되기'도 끊임없이 새롭게 또 다른 '배치체'로 구성된 '소수자-되기'의 유동적인 과정이며, '차이의 정치', '되기의 정치' 과정이기도 한 것으로 분석되었다. 이에, 이러한 연구결과에 의거해 사회복지실천에 시사하는 함의를 논의하였다.

근로능력이 있는 빈곤층의 경험과 탈수급/탈빈곤 전망에 대한 연구: 순차적 탐구전략에 따른 방법론적 융합 (Life Experiences and Prospects of Welfare/Poverty Exit of the Poor with Work Ability: Mixed Methodology using Sequential Exploratory Design)

  • 본 연구는 근로능력이 있는 빈곤층의 삶의 경험과 탈수급/탈빈곤 전망을 혼합방법론 중 순차적 탐구전략을 활용하여 질적 양적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 우선 한국복지패널 연계 질적패널의 1-3차 웨이브 중 근로능력이 있는 14인의 빈곤 가구주의 인터뷰를 분석하여, 이들이 3년간 경험한 삶의 변화를 탈빈곤 전망 맥락에서 제시하였다. 이후 질적분석에서 도출한 가설을 양적분석으로 확인하는 순차적 탐구전략에 따라, 빈곤층의 교육수준이 생활전망 및 자존감을 매개로하여 탈수급/탈빈곤 전망에 영향을 미친다는 가설을 설정하고, 한국복지패널 7차년도 자료를 활용하여 변량분석과 구조방정식을 통하여 가설을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 교육수준은 그 자체가 아니라 생활전망이라는 심리적 요인을 매개로 하여 탈수급/탈빈곤 전망에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 이는 향후 탈빈곤정책이 물질적 지원 외에도 빈곤층의 생활전망을 제고하는 심리적 차원을 고려해야 한다는 함의를 제시하고 있다.

초보간호사의 이직의도 경험 (The Experiences of Turnover Intention in Early Stage Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to explore turnover intention of novice nurses. Methods: This study was an exploratory survey including quantitative and qualitative components. Qualitative data were obtained from an open survey question in the survey and analyzed using the method of content analysis. The data were collected from 245 nurses with less than three years experience at six general hospitals. Results: The early stage nurses scored an average of 14.5 (${\pm}3.31$) in turnover intention. Fourteen themes were identified in turnover intention experiences of early stage nurses, and each theme was divided into five categories: interpersonal relationship stress (33.7%), being regretful for choosing a nursing career (21.6), A feeling of low competency for direct nursing care (19.8), dissatisfaction with the welfare of the hospital (13.0), Increased extra-work burden (11.9). The participants requested for improvement in the following conditions to continue a nursing career descending order in priority: wage ($3.6{\pm}1.50$), work load ($3.0{\pm}1.83$), work environment ($2.8{\pm}1.63$), welfare facilities ($1.4{\pm}1.53$), the status of nurse ($1.2{\pm}1.57$), etc. Conclusion: These findings are helpful for the development of intervention strategies to decrease turnover intention of early stage nurses.
