A Study on the Factors Affecting Users' Willingness to Pay, Flow and Addiction for OTT Service: Focusing on China's OTT Service Platform iQIYI (OTT 이용자의 지불의도와 몰입, 중독에 이르는 영향요인 연구 - 중국 OTT 서비스 플랫폼 아이치이를 중심으로)

  • This study attempted to confirm the effect of the user's characteristics on perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, willingness to pay, flow and addiction to OTT service platform iQIYI users. Researchers believe that as the number of OTT service users who are willing to pay increases, research on the influencing factors and the cause of addiction is needed. As a result of the study, first, it was found that perceived usefulness affects willingness to pay, second, use intention and willingness to pay affect flow, and third, willingness to pay and flow affect addiction. This study considered that it has theoretical and practical value in that the route to flow and addiction of OTT service users was set and tested with intention to use and pay. Researchers hope that the study will expand in terms of willingness to pay and use experience of OTT services in the future.

The Analysis on Consumers' Willingness to Pay for Customized Agricultural Products in Diabetes (당뇨병 환자 맞춤형 농식품 식단에 대한 소비자 지불의사금액)

  • This study analyze the willingness to pay for customized agricultural products to diabetes. For this purpose, a survey was carried out for patients with diabetes 212 patients. The main results are as follows. First, the survey found that the interest in health and food was found to be very high in 93.9 % and 85.9 % respectively. This means that there is sufficient market potential if customized food and diets for diabetes are developed. Second, the Logit analysis showed that influential factor for the willingness to pay for a customized diet. The higher the risk, the better the health outcomes, the higher the likelihood that the higher the level of income, the more likely it is to purchase a product for a diabetic food package. Third, the average amount of willingness to pay for the customized food for diabetes patients was 7,823.5 won and the truncated average value was 6,953.3 won.

A Study on the USA and Japan Consumer's Perception of the Korean Flower Tea and Their Willingness-to-Pay for It (국산 꽃차에 대한 미국과 일본의 소비자인식 및 지불의사에 대한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to propose an export strategy due to an analysis of USA and Japan consumer's perception and willingness-to-pay for flower tea. For that, we conducted a survey on the consumer's perception on flower tea compared with leaf tea such as green tea. We also analyzed the willingness to purchase and pay for it. The reasons of drinking of flower tea for USA consumer are 'flavor'-followed by 'taste', and for Japanese consumer 'relaxation'-followed by 'flavor' in order. Both of them consider 'quality', 'safety'- and 'origin' in order when they purchase flower tea. USA consumers have a willingness-to-pay of about 8.3% and Japanese consumers have a willingness-to-pay of about 29.1%. Based on those results, it is necessary to differentiate the process and marketing strategies for the export of flower tea.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the amount of willingness to pay for environment-friendly agricultural processed foods by the level of consumption intention. To accomplish the objective of the study a consumer survey was conducted for quantitative analysis regarding consumption pattern. The ordered-probit selection model, Heckman-type two-stage method was employed for an empirical analysis on determining the amount of willingness to pay. The estimation results showed that in the case of consumers who are to keep their consumption at the present level, those with high quality contentment compared to price, brand contentment, and purchasing chiefly in the special store, have the higher amount of willingness. The estimation results also showed that in the case of consumers who are to increase their consumption, those with high quality contentment compared to price, brand contentment, certificate contentment, and having family members who suffer from diseases such as atopy, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, have the higher amount of willingness. Therefore For those who are to increase their consumption, enhancement of quality, enhancement of contentment with certificate, promotion are useful to increase the amount of willingness to pay.

  • This paper aimed at understanding the effect of infectious disease conditions on willingness to pay for the green roof implemented to reduce the urban heat island. For this purpose, the willingness to pay for the green roof under infectious disease and non-infectious disease conditions was calculated and comparatively analyzed using the contingent valuation method. As a result, there was a statistically significant difference in the willingness to pay according to the infectious disease condition, and it was confirmed that the willingness to pay for the infectious disease condition was lower than the non-infectious disease condition.

  • This study examined the differences on the amount of purchase of and willingness-to-pay more for organic products by socio-economic variables, knowledge and reliability of organic products, and concern for food. In addition the effects of the reliability and the price of organic products on the amount of purchase and willingness-to-pay more for organic products in the Path analysis. The results were below. First, consumers who had high education, were the age of 40's, high income, high level of knowledge and reliability for organic products were more likely to purchase organic products. Second, the level of willingness-to-pay more for organic Products were high when consumers with more than three children, not lowest level of health, and higher reliability. Third, the reliability of organic products impact the amount of purchase of organic products, but not the perception of organic products' price. Forth, both the reliability and the perception of those price impact the level of willingness-to-pay more for organic products.

  • The objective of this study was to propose motivation for the analysis of consumer's purchasing behavior and willingness to pay for the new soymilk products in cooperative stores. We surveyed the purchasing behavior, willingness to purchase, willingness to pay, and impact factors on willingness to pay. The results indicated that most consumers drank soymilk more than once per week. The reasons for consuming soymilk were health, nutrition, and taste, in order. When purchasing soymilk, consumers considered environment-friendly, quality, country of origin, brand, and price, consecutively. Taste was also an essential quality factor. Thus, consumers showed some willingness to purchase new soymilk products. In addition, cooperative members considered environmental characteristics of raw material and improvement of preference for final product as more important than functionality or food additives. Differentiation of process and marketing strategies are required for the development of soymilk products for cooperative members.

Estimation of Willingness to Pay for Smart Home Service by Contingent Valuation Method (조건부가치측정법을 이용한 스마트 홈 서비스의 지불의사액 추정)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the value of smart home service using contingent valuation method that is the method evaluating the value of service which will be provided in the future. Using this method, this study suggests proper price and market value of smart home service through figuring out customer's willingness to pay. Methods: To estimate willingness to pay for smart home service, this study uses double bounded dichotomous choice question. The survey was conducted for 2 months from December in 2015 to February in 2016. A total of 269 copies were used to estimate through R-programming. Results: The results of this study are as follows; Gender(especially woman), income, proposed price are the factors which affecting willingness to pay. As the result of this study, average price of willingness to pay for smart home service estimates as \29,653. Comparing with high-speed internet bundling service fee, this estimated price for smart home service is appropriate level for customers to accept. Conclusion: This study estimates consumer's willingness to pay for smart home service which is in the market entry stage. In corporate side, this study might be meaningful for estimating investment scale and profit. Also it could provide basis for establishing strategic policy to develop smart home service market in government side.

A Study on Determinants of the Willingness to Pay for Native Honey: Focusing on Knowledge of and Experience with Honey and Attitude toward Health

  • This study analyzes overall honey consumption and purchasing behavior, and in particular, seeks to identify factors that influence the willingness to pay (WTP) for native honey. A survey of 500 South Korean consumers was conducted to understand their purchasing experiences and perceptions related to honey. A multiple linear regression analysis was carried out to comprehend the effect of the following factors on the willingness to pay for native honey: 1) knowledge of honey, 2) health consciousness, 3) the unhealthy = tasty intuition (UTI), and 4) positive perception of sweetness. As a result, consumers with more knowledge about honey, higher health consciousness and more positive perception of sweetness were more willing to pay for native honey. On the other hand, past honey purchasing or consuming experience had no significant impact on the willingness to pay for native honey. Marketing strategies and implications were derived from the characteristics of native honey consumers identified in this study.

A Study on the Evaluating the Willingness to Pay for Marine Leisure Ship (해양레저선박의 지불의사금액 가치평가 연구)

  • This study was conducted to evaluating the willingness to pay for marine leisure ships through a contingent valuation method that can estimate the value of non-market economy. The questionnaire adopted a double-bound dichotomous choice Model and the variables for evaluating the amount of willingness to pay consisted of demographic variables and respondent behavior variables, and related information verified through previous studies. As a result of collecting and analyzing a total of 309 questionnaires, the amount of willingness to pay for marine leisure ships was estimated to be 25,510 won. In addition, significant variables affecting the amount of willingness to pay were the experience of visiting the island, satisfaction with the introduction of new maritime transportation, and intention to revisit the island. Through this study, it can be used as a basis for evaluating the economic value of new maritime transportation by estimating the willingness to pay for marine leisure ships using the contingent valuation method.
