고가격 식품에 대한 소비자의 안전성 인지와 지불용의 (Consumers' Perceptions & Willingness-to-Pay for High-Priced Food)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze perceptions of consumers and willingness to play for high-priced food. The price dispersions of four food categories - soybean sprouts, tofu, milk, and egg - were analyzed through the market analysis, and the survey with the structured questionnaire was utilized to get information on the reason why consumers buy and don't buy the high-priced food. It tested whether a consumer would change the choice if the new product information on safety issues is offered and if the price of high-priced food is lowed. Results showed that generally consumers don't have the confidence on the level of safety and comparative advantages of quality of high-priced food, but they just purchase the high-priced food as long as they can afford it.

  • Using a sample of employees in various hospitality organizations, we proposed that individual disposition such as tolerance for ambiguity, positve affectivity, internal locus of control, and self-efficacy, will influence hospitality employees' resitance to change. The results supported hypotheses. Ultimately, we hope the results of this study provide propoer guidelines with hospitality managers and employees to decrease thiere resistance to change such as new IS implementation and thus increase their willingness to adopt in implementing new IS.

해커톤 교육이 창업의지에 미치는 영향: 기업가정신, 창업동기, 팀문화의 조절효과 검증 (The Effect of Hackaton Program on the Willingness of Entrepreneurship: The Moderating Effect of Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Motivation and Team Culture)

  • 정부는 창조경제를 실현하고자 최대 규모의 예산을 통해 다양한 창업지원 프로그램을 제공하고 있다. 이러한 상황 속에서 최근 각광받고 있는 창업교육 프로그램 중 하나인 해커톤방식 창업교육의 효과를 규명하고자 한다. 이를 위해 창업동기, 기업가정신, 팀 문화 등 세 가지 변수에 따라 해커톤 창업교육이전과 창업교육이후 창업의지의 변화를 살펴보고자 한다. 연구결과, 해커톤 교육은 참여자들의 창업의지(참여 전 후의 창업의지 비교)에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 창업동기와 팀문화는 교육이전의 창업의지와 교육이후의 창업의지간의 관계에서 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 조절변수로 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 중심으로 해커톤방식 창업교육의 정책적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

Enhancing Inoculation in the Spiral of Silence to Promote Resistance to Attacks: Examining Public Opinion on Taiwan-PRC Relations

  • This study analyzes how inoculation affects the spiral of silence. Inoculation could be a beneficial tool in a democracy as it elevates citizens' resistance to attitude change "forced" by "the winning opinion" in the spiral of silence on a certain controversial issue. The study examines essential variables combined with the theories of inoculation and spiral of silence, such as resistance to counter-attitudinal attack, fear of isolation, and issue-involvement. A two-wave field experiment was employed to assess the formation of public opinion on Taiwan's political future with the People's Republic of China. Results support that inoculation enhanced people's resistance to attitude change and decreased their fear of isolation. Individuals who are more issue-involved were also shown to be more affected by inoculation, which allowed them to resist attitude change. The decreased fear of isolation, coupled with more issue involvement, might elevate people's willingness to speak out in public. More political discussions regarding an important public issue might be expected in a democracy.

해양 공공자연자원 피해보상의 법.경제적 평가 (Compensation for Injury to Publicly Owned Marine Resources : Legal and Economic Aspects)

  • Interest on ocean environment has increased with the development of industrialized activities. Public marine resorces are defined broadly to include fish stocks, beaches, marine waters, recreational fishing, biota, waterfowls, shorebirds, seabirds and marine mammals But, it is not easy to analyze compensation for injury to publicly owned marine resources because the claimants do not exist clearly and the economic methodology of damage on public goods is not developed fully. This paper introduces basic idea of welfare economic theory and environmental legislation to the research question : How the economics and law can be applied to the case of damage on publicly owned marine resource. The paper discusses the concepts of willingness to pay (WTP) and willingness to accept (WTA). It is accepted generally that WTA is correct concept of welfare change in the case of damaged public goods. Four methods (compensating variation, equivalent variation, compensating surplus, equivalent surplus of measuring welfare changes are compared. Compensating variation(CV) is the best measure of welfare changes are compared. Compensating variation(CV) is the best measure of welfare changes caused by environmental damage. Vartia (1983) showed CV could be measured from the ordinary demand function using the differential equations. This paper also provides an overview of the emerging U.S. and Korea legal system for compensation for natural resource damages, with particular emphasis on U.S. legal system under Comprehensive Environmen-tal Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA). These regulations are to include two different types of standardized procedures for assessing natural resources injury : Type A or simplified assessment techniques for small releases ; and Type B protocols that would include detailed and extensive assessment methodologies for major releases. Type A procedures are specified by Natural Resources Damage Assessment Model for Coastal and Marine Environment (NRDAM/CME) of the U.S. CERCLA provides a legal 'legitimization for the use of economic-based nonmarket valuation in the courts and have introduced appropriate and accurate nonmarket valuation methods based on willingness to-pay for damage assessment. By briefly reviewing economic theory and environmental legislation, we hope to help provide a better understanding of the compensation process and the economics of publicly owned marine resources in the U.S. and to integrate the economics and law of natural resources valuation into a single comprehensive package in Korea.

원자력 발전 신규 조세 도입에 대한 지불의사액 추정 연구 (A Study on Willingness to Pay for Nuclear Energy Tax using Choice Experiment)

  • 외부비용 내부화와 타 발전연료원과의 형평성 차원에서 원전에 대한 과세논의가 꾸준히 제기되어 왔다. 그러나 이들 논의 대부분은 정책공급자 내지 입안자 중심으로 이루어지고 있어 과세 방식에 대한 국민 수용성을 제대로 반영하지 못한다는 한계가 존재한다. 본 연구는 원전 신규 과세 개편과 관련된 핵심 쟁점 사항을 중심으로 선택실험법을 활용하여 정책소비자가 선호하는 과세 방안을 검토하였다. 일반시민을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 바탕으로 선택실험법에서의 지불의사액 추정결과 원자력 연료(2.19원/kWh), 방사성폐기물(1.46원/kWh), 원전 시설규모(-3.65원/kWh)의 순으로, 응답자들은 원자력 연료에 대한 과세를 다른 대안보다 상대적으로 더 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 재원 활용방식에 대한 지불의사액은 국가경제 활성화 재원(6.39원/kWh)과 기후위기대응 재원(6.12원/kWh)보다 근소하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 결과는 원전 과세의 설계는 과세 대상 보다는 재원 활용방식에 더 초점을 맞출 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

스마트워크 유용성 지각과 일-가정 갈등에 관한 연구: 경계유연추구의도의 매개효과 및 과업상호의존성과 과정통제의 조절효과 검증 (The Perceived Usefulness of Smartwork and Work-family Conflict)

  • 스마트폰의 확산과 정보통신기술의 발전으로 스마트워크가 가져올 개인과 기업 측면의 변화에 대한 기대가 높다. 특히 스마트워크를 통해 시간과 공간에 제약을 받지 않은 채 일과 가정 두 영역에서의 역할을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다. 하지만, 스마트워크에 대한 근로자의 수용 의도가 낮고 실제 활용률도 떨어지는 문제점이 발생되고 있다. 이와 같은 현상에 주목하면서 본 연구에서는 스마트워크 환경에서 기대성과가 나타나는데 있어 중요한 변인으로 근로자의 유연경계추구의도를 설정하고 심리적 기제가 미치는 영향에 대해 검증하고자 했다. 연구의 목적에 맞춰 기술수용모델 관점에서 스마트워크 유용성 지각과 일-가정 갈등 사이에서 유연경계추구의도가 매개변인으로 작용할 것으로 예상하고 연구를 진행했다. 한 편 근로자의 스마트워크에 대한 활용 의도가 있더라도 일-가정 갈등이 높아지는 현상에 있어서 현재의 조직 상황에서의 역할 방해 요인이 있을 것으로 보고 과업상호의존성과 과정통제의 조절효과에 대한 검증도 함께 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 유연경계추구의도의 완전 매개효과가 검증되었고, 과업상호의존성과 과정통제의 조절효과의 경우, 과업상호의존성만이 조절효과의 경향성을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

품질인증 친환경농산물의 소비자가치 추정 및 유통정책 방향에 관한 연구 - 천안지역의 쌀, 상추, 두부를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development Strategies and Measuring Consumer′s Willingness to Pay for the Quality-Certificated Environmental-Friend Products - Focused on Rice, Lettuce, and Bean Curd at Cheonan-city)

  • The study must have standpoints for the stable market construction of the Environmental-Friendly agricultural products of the quality-certificated which has rapidly grown due to a discussion of the environment and agriculture, income increase and the interests on foods stability. The survey was conducted through face-to-face interview of 200 adults who are in their twenties or more in Cheonan-city. In this research, the Environmental-Friendly agriculture was a clean agriculture not using a fertilizer or chemicals and the agriculture which protects the environment by preventing the environmental pollution. In the analyses of the consumer's willingness to pay, the rice showed 69,851 won, and a lettuce and bean-curd showed 947 won and 1.412 won respectively. In terms of current issues of the policy, to establish the stable circulation structure and consumption strategy, there must be a clearness raise of the Quality Authentication (QA) Mark. To raise the trust through quality authentication, there must be transparency raise of information by distribution stages and the thorough post management of the official institutes. Also, to persue the competitive product differentiation, there must be the settlement of the product brand on the market, development of the new production technology and a classification of consumers by incomes. Finally to construct stable distribution and price system, there must be active participation of the local agricultural cooperatives in the distribution of the Environmental-Friendly agricultural products of the quality-certificated and the understanding of the proper price of the consumer market and flexible strategy of the price change.

  • 최근 계속되는 기후변화에 따른 위기감으로 인해 세계는 온실가스를 감축하기 위한 노력을 강화 하고 있다. 그중 수송분야에서는 온실가스를 줄이는 방안으로 현재의 내연기관 자동차를 전기자동차로 대체하고자 하고 있다. 한편 전기자동차를 보급하는데 있어서 중요한 충전설비는 완속충전설비와 급속충전설비로 나뉘는데, 전기 충전량 외에도 충전시간 역시 요금을 구성하는 중요 요소가 된다. 그러나 충전시간은 개인이 처한 상황에 따라 시간 기회비용이 같지 않으므로 이와 같은 현상을 정확히 이해하는 것은 충전설비의 보급이나 요금정책에 있어서 매우 중요하다고 생각한다. 따라서 본 연구는 상황에 따른 충전설비의 선택, 충전시간과 비용 지불의사가 어떻게 달라지는지를 밝히고자 로짓모형을 통해 충전설비 선택모형과 함께 상황별 시간가치를 제시하고 있다.

블로그에 의한 유전자변형식품 홍보와 교육 효과 (Effect of Genetically Modified Food Promotion and Education by Blog)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to determine the effects of genetically modified (GM) food promotion and education through the blog. Methods: Education program for consumer-oriented GM foods by the blog was developed and survey was performed by the visitors for totals of twelve weeks. The blog was formed by information (definition, mark etc.) offering style and named as "Correct knowing of genetically modified organisms (GMO)." Event was held to enhance the promotion of the blog from the week 9 to week 12. Results: Visitors of the final week increased 4 times, as compared to those of the starting the event week 9. Most of the 138 consumers (94.5%) did not have prior GMO education experience. The 97 consumers aged 20 years old showed significantly the highest ratios in the experience of blog or website (p<0.01). Comparing before and after the blog education, notification on GM foods and willingness to buy GMO products, the benefit of GMO, willingness to check GMO mark when buying GMO products showed positive change of GM foods (p<0.05). Conclusion: Over 80% answered that the blog helped to understand the GM foods. Thus, we conclude using blog is effective way of GM food promotion and education and continuous efforts are needed to maintain an active blog for the consumer's rights of knowledge about GM foods.
