  • 복합 페로브스카이트 (1-x) $(Li_{1/2}Sm_{1/2})TiO_3-x (Na_{1/2}Sm_{1/2})TiO_3$ (LNST) system의 마이크로파 유전특성과 미세구조를 XRD와 SEM을 이용하여 연구하였다. 이 LNST는 산소팔면체의 antiphase tilting 뿐만 아니라, inphase tilting과 양이온의 antiparallel shift를 가지는 구조변화는 보인다. 또한 LNST계는 $0.0{\leq}x{\leq}0.4$에서 양이온($Li^{+1}$)의 휘발이 일어나서 A-site vacancy ordering에 의해 c축으로 cell doubling이 일어난다. 미세구조의 관찰을 통해 전 범위의 조성에서 비정상 입성장 현상을 관찰하였다. LNST계에서 A-site에 $Li^{+1}$을 치환한 LST의 공진주파수 온도계수는 큰 음의 값($-220ppm/^{\circ}C$)을 가지나, $Na^{+1}$을 치환한 NST는 큰 양의 값($+173ppm/^{\circ}C$)을 가진다. x=0.4일때 4 GHz에서 ${\varepsilon}_r=103,\;Q*f_{0}=3,700GHz$ 그리고 $T_{cf}=+50ppm/^{\circ}C$의 좋은 유전특성을 얻었다.

경상분지 남서부 일대의 불국사 화강암류에서 발달하는 미세균열의 방향성 (Microcrack Orientations in Bulgugsa Granites from Southwestern Gyeongsang Basin)

  • 경상분지 남서부 일대의 불국사 화강암류에서 분포하는 미세균열의 전반적인 분포특성을 규명하였다. 사천시-고성군, 거제시 및 남해군 지역에서 채취한 11개 암석시료의 수평면 상에서 발달하는 131조의 미세균열은 영상처리를 통하여 구별하였다. 다음에 이들 미세균열 중, 뚜렷한 선상배열을 갖는 45조의 미세균열을 선별하였다. 이들 미세균열은 수직의 2번 면에 대비된다. 이들 45조의 미세균열의 방향성과 국내의 쥬라기 및 백악기 화강암류에서 발달하는 수직의 1번 및 2번 면의 방향성을 대비하였다. 분포도에서 45조의 미세균열과 이들 수직 면의 분포형태가 일치한다는 사실은 연구지역 일대에서 발달하는 미세균열의 계는 국내의 쥬라기 및 백악기의 화강암에서도 광역적으로 발달함을 시사한다. 방향각-빈도수 상관도의 전 영역은 미세균열의 분포상에 의하여 20개의 영역으로 분류할 수가 있다. 한편 45조의 미세균열이 속하는 18개의 방향각 영역과 기존의 연구결과에서 시사한 최대 압축 주응력의 방향과 상호 대비를 시도하였다. 최대 압축 주응력의 방향은 대부분 방향각 영역- $1{\sim}2$, $5{\sim}6$, ${\sim}15$, $17{\sim}18$$19{\sim}20$에 각각 속하며 이들 영역은 이들 45조의 미세균열의 장미도에서 제시한 주방향 및 2차적인 방향과 일치한다. 열린 미세균열의 대표적인 방향은 기존의 연구에서 시사한 최대 압축 주응력 방향을 반영한다.

대구·경북지역 당뇨 환자의 식행동 및 식품 섭취에 관한 조사 연구 (A study on the eating behaviors and food intake of diabetic patients in Daegu·Gyeongbuk area)

  • 최근 급속한 경제 발전으로 국민의 식생활 습관 및 패턴이 변화하고 있으며, 특히 서구화된 식생활로 인해 당뇨병의 위험이 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 국내에는 당뇨병의 예방 및 치료에 참고할 기초 식생활 조사 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대구 경북 지역 일반인 및 진단받은 지 1년 이내의 당뇨병 환자를 대상으로 식행동 및 식생활 태도, 식품과 영양소 섭취량을 조사하였다. 연구 대상자는 대조군 26명, 환자군 18명으로 총 44명을 조사하였으며, 본 연구 결과 체질량지수, 과식, 정제된 곡류의 섭취, 기름을 많이 사용하여 조리한 음식의 섭취, 나트륨 함량이 많은 식품의 섭취는 당뇨병의 발병과 관련이 있는 위험요인으로 나타났다. 또한 영양소 중 식물성 지질, 베타카로틴, 식물성 칼슘, 구리, 비타민 K는 당뇨병과 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 당뇨병의 예방 및 관리를 위해서는 적절한 체중 조절 및 지방 함량과 나트륨 함량이 적은 식품과 덜 정제된 곡류를 선택하여 적절한 식사량으로 섭취하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 사료된다.

흑다리긴노린재 [Paromius exiguus (Distant)](Heteroptera: Lygaeidae)에 의한 벼 이삭 피해 (Rice Grain Damage by Paromius exiguus (Distant)(Heteroptera: Lygaeidae) in Rice Fields)

  • 흑다리긴노린재 약충 및 성충에 의한 벼 이삭 피해를 다양한 조건에서 분석하였다. 흑다리긴노린재 약충 1마리를 1일간 접종하였을 경우 주당 평균 2.7개, 16마리를 16일간 접종하였을 때 주당 평균 132.3개의 반점미가 발생되었다. 접종밀도와 반점미 발생 입수와는 고도의 정의 상관관계를 나타내었다(Y = 8.8446X, r2 = 0.9622). 출수기에 흑다리긴노린재 성충 1쌍을 접종한 경우 벼 수확 시 발생한 피해로 동할미율은 40.2%, 반점미율은 30.5%였으며, 16쌍을 처리한 경우 동할미율은 81.7%, 반점미율은 74.5% 발생되었다. 벼의 등숙 정도에 따른 피해 양상을 분석한 결과 출수 초기에 가해하였을 경우에는 벼의 등숙율을 감소시키는 경향을 보였으며, 중기 및 후기에 가해하였을 경우 동할미율과 반점미율이 증가하는 경향을 나타내어 가해시기에 따라 벼 이삭 피해의 차이가 현저하였다.

국민학교(國民學校) 아동(兒童)의 영양섭취실태(營養攝取實態)와 성장발육(成長發育)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study in Every Possible Correlation between Daily Food Intake and Growth Rate of Primary School Students)

  • With the object of the study id every possible correlation between daily food intake and growth rate of primary school students, aged eleven years old, the author distributed prepared questionnaires through 200 children of 5th grade in both sexes in K private primary school, Seoul. Specific object of this study were included following three points: such as daily food intake records for six days. daily food intake records for six days. school records of sample children at the end of 4th grade. physical growth index calculated by means of weight and height of sample children at the first part of the 5th grade. CR. t. F. test as well as percentage calculations were included for statistical analysis. The result of this study were as follows: 1. For the living circumstances a) Average numbers of brother and sister in sampled family were two to three. b) Approximately 50%of the children were brought up by mother's milk at their infants and about 35% of children were weaned at the age of 7 to 12 months. c) Thirty to forty percent of the respondents revealed irregulity in their meal time due to early school time in the morning. d) Monthly average expenditure for daily food reached 20 to 29% out of total income. e) The most favorit foods reflect as follows: The most favorit main dish is boiled rice mixed with other careals and side dish beaf. Fruits and juice are more popular snack among whole children. 2. Nutrition survey a) The calcium and thiamine were the most limited factors out of daily nutrients consumption. b) The total calory intake were composed of carbohydrate 63%, protein 16% and fat 21% respectively. c) The total food intake were composed of 20 to 24% of animal source of foods and 76 to 80% of plant source of foods (vegetables, grains, fruits) d) The total protein intake were composed of 46% of animal protein and 54% of others. e) The grain stuffs consumed in the largest quantity at the level of 50% out whole food groups. f) Twenty four percent of total food intake came from snack between meal time. 3. The result of statistical analysis were as follows: a) The correlation between the calory intake and plysical growth index revealed statistical significancy at the level of p<0.001. b) The correlation between the protein intake and physical growth index revealed statistical significancy at the level of p<0.001. c) The correlation between the meal time and physical growth index revealed statistical significancy at the level of 0.02

Diurnal Variations in Milk and Blood Urea Nitrogen and Whole Blood Ammonia Nitrogen in Dairy Cows

  • The levels of urea nitrogen both in blood (BUN) and milk (MUN), and milk protein (MP) reflect protein and energy intake in dairy herd feeding. Blood and milk constituents may be changes rhythmically and influence by different sampling time within a day and after feeding. Trials were conducted using five dietary treatments in both lactating and dry cows to study the effects of sampling time on concentrations of BUN, MUN and whole blood ammonia nitrogen (BAN) in practical dairy cow feeding in Taiwan. The conventional feed ingredients and forages including corn silage, alfalfa hay, timothy or pangola hay and corn grain were used as major source of the diet to follow practical dairy cow feeding. Five different diets were varying in amounts (low=L; standard=S; high=H) of crude protein (P) and energy (E) according to the NRC (1989). The energy to protein ratios in kcal/kg for the PSES, PLES, PHES, PSEH and PSEL were 10.82, 12.54, 9.41, 12.53 and 9.13 in lactating cows, and 11.38, 13.33, 9.78, 13.28 and 9.74 in dry cows, respectively. Results showed that after feeding at 9:30, BUN reached peak at 13:30 and was significantly higher than those to that sampled at 14:30 to 18:30 (p<0.05) in dry cows. Therefore the best blood sampling time for urea nitrogen assay in dry cows is 4 hours after morning feeding. In lactating cows, BUN of 13:30 was significantly higher than those of 8:30 to 11:30 (p<0.05), but there were no significant difference between the BUN values of other sampling time. Hence the suitable blood sampling time for BUN value in lactating cows was located on 3 to 8 hours after morning feeding, but the best time was 4 hours after morning feeding. MUN content is significantly higher in the afternoon collected bulk milk than the fore-strip morning milk (p<0.05), therefore the best sampling time for MUN is from afternoon collected bulk milk. Diurnal BAN changed without traceable rhythmic pattern and was negatively correlated to the BUN (r = -0.78). It is suggested that BAN may not be a good indicator for monitoring dairy cow feeding.

Dietary chia (Salvia hispanica L.) improves the nutritional quality of broiler meat

  • Objective: The current study was conducted to evaluate the quality and profile of fatty acid in the breast and thigh, and the performance of broilers fed diets containing seed or oil of chia (Salvia hispanica L.) as a replacement for soybean, in the rearing period from 29 to 42 days of age. Methods: On the 29th day of age, 120 broilers were distributed in four treatments evaluated in five replicates of six birds. The grain or oil of soybean was respectively replaced on a weight-to-weight basis in the formulation by the seed or oil of chia, constituting the experimental diets. The roasted whole soybean and chia seed were included in the feed at 16.4%, whereas the soybean and chia oils were included at 2.5%. Results: The dietary chia oil increased the lipid peroxidation in the thigh meat, and the dietary chia seed increased the cooking loss of the thigh. However, for the other physicochemical parameters evaluated and for the proximate composition of the breast and thigh, in general, the inclusion of chia seed or oil in the diet provided similar or better results than those observed when the diets contained soybean oil or roasted whole soybean. With regard to the fatty acid profile and associated parameters, dietary chia increased the concentrations of α-linolenic, eicosapentaenoic, and docosahexaenoic acids and reduced the Σω-6:Σω-3 ratio and the atherogenicity and thrombogenicity indices of the broiler meat. However, the dietary chia seed worsened the feed conversion ratio. Conclusion: Diet containing 2.5% chia oil supplied to broilers during the period from 29 to 42 days of age improves the feed conversion ratio, increases the deposition of the ω-3 fatty acids in the breast and thigh, in addition to reducing the Σω-6:Σω-3 ratio and the atherogenicity and thrombogenicity indices, thereby resulting in meat with higher nutritional quality.

  • The seed, or grain, of modern cultivars of Lupinus angustifolius, commonly known as Australian sweet lupins (ASL), is an established feed resource for the intensive animal industries of Australia, Japan, Korea and several other countries in Asia and Europe. Since the introduction of ASL to the world marketplace about 25 years ago, researchers in many countries have found them to be a valuable component of the diet of beef and dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, finfish and crustaceans. The seed of ASL contains ~32% crude protein (CP) (~35% DM basis) and 5% oil. The main storage carbohydrates in the seed are the ${\beta}$-galactans that comprise most of the cell-wall material of the kernel and the cellulose and hemicellulose of the thick seed coats. ASL seeds contain about 40% non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) and a negligible amount of starch. This makes them an excellent ingredient for ruminant diets, as the risk of acidosis is very low. The seed of modern cultivars of domesticated Lupinus species contain negligible amounts of lectins and trypsin inhibitors so they do not require preheating before being used as an ingredient in feeds for monogastric species. They have a high digestibility coefficient for protein, >90% for most species, but a low energy digestibility, ~60%, which is mostly due to the high content of NSP. The low content of methionine (0.22%) and of lysine (1.46%) is typical of the legumes. The lysine availability for pigs is >70%. Lupin kernels contain ~39% CP (~42% DM basis), 6% oil and 30% NSP. They have a higher digestible energy for pigs and finfish and a higher metabolisable energy for poultry than whole seed. Commercial operations rarely achieve complete separation of kernel from hull and it is more likely that the kernel fraction, called splits or meats, will contain ~36% CP. The replacement of soybean meal or peas with ASL in cereal-based diets for most intensively reared animals, birds and fish is possible provided lysine, methionine and digestible energy levels are kept constant. This makes ASL economically competitive in many, but not all, circumstances.

잉곳의 방향성 응고를 위한 주조 로 개발 (Development of Casting Furnace for Directional Solidification Ingot)

  • 본 논문은 열 해석 시뮬레이션과 주조로의 구조 변경을 통한 실리콘 잉곳의 방향성 응고에 대한 연구이다. 열 해석 시뮬레이션에 의한 결과, 용융은 유지 시간이 80분일 때 실리콘이 전체적으로 고르게 용융 온도에 도달하였고 냉각은 상부 냉각 온도가 $1,400^{\circ}C$와 60분 냉각 시 가장 좋은 결과 값을 나타내었다. 제작된 웨이퍼가 기존의 상용웨이퍼보다 결정립계에서의 에칭이 훨씬 적게 이루어졌다. FTIR 측정결과 산소와 탄소 모두 모두 임계값 이하의 불순물로 존재함을 확인하였다. NAA 분석 결과 총 18가지 금속 불순물이 검출 되었지만, 농도 분포는 같은 위치에서 위와 아래의 차이는 크게 나지 않고, 어떤 특정한 위치에서 한쪽으로 집중되거나 어떤 경향성 없이 전체의 샘플의 모든 부분에서 농도가 거의 일정하게 분포를 나타냈다.

INFLUENCE OF PROCESSING ON THE SITE AND EXTENT OF DIGESTION OF HIGH MOISTURE BARLEY IN CATTLE

  • Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of processing and method of ensiling on the digestion and utilization of high moisture barley (HMB) in cattle. In experiment 1, four Holstein heifers were assigned in a Latin square design to diets containing 70% barley, 25% alfalfa hay and 5% supplement on a dry matter (DM) basis. Diets differed only in the type of barley fed: rolled dry barley (R-DB), rolled HBM (R-HMB), ground HMB (G-HMB) or unprocessed HMB (U-HMB). In experiment 2, three Holstein steers were fed 85.2% barley, 10.2% whole plant barley silage and 4.6% supplement on a DM basis. Again, diets differed only in the type of barley fed: R-DB, rolled HMB from a pit silo (Pit-HMB) or rolled HMB from a Harvestore silo (HAV-HMB). In experiment 1, digestibility coefficients for animals fed R-HMB were significantly higher than observed for U-HMB. While not significant, a similar trend for decreased digestibility was observed for R-DB and G-HMB. Animals fed HMB had significantly lower ruminal propionate concentrations. In addition, the rate of degradation of the degradable DM and crude protein (CP) fractions was slower for HMB than for dry barley. In experiment 2, a trend to lower digestibility coefficients was observed for animal fed R-DB compared to those fed Pit-HMB or HAV-HMB. Ruminal propionate concentrations for animals fed R-DB also tended to be higher than for those fed the HMB diets. Dry matter and CP disappearances from nylon bags was substantially lower for Pit-HMB than for R-DB or HAV-HMB. The results suggest that replacement of dry barley by rolled or unprocessed HMB in the diet of animals fed high grain diets may contribute to a more stable rumen environment.
