Case Study of Building Dynamic Homepage Using ActiveX Control Pad (ActiveX 컨트롤 패드를 이용한 동적홈페이지의 설계와 구현 사례)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand what is ActiveX control and how to utilize it in developing dynamic web pages. For this purpose, some literature survey and experimental practices with PC were done to understand the differences among web programming technologies such as visual basic, java, XML web services. In order to scrutinize the functions of ActiveX controls and the comparison of their technology with currently introduced XML web service, a study on the history of Internet programming with a focused view on ActiveX control was also performed. With the knowledge of the fore mentioned, Actual design and building experiments of web pages using ActiveX control pad were implemented. The results show that Microsoft ActiveX controls, formerly known as OLE controls or OCX controls, developed to compete with java applet in internet battle fields, turn out to be useful in software reusability, cost-saving and time-saving etc. However, the use of ActiveX controls has been confined in window platform, Overall, this study was useful for understanding the usage of ActiveX controls in web pages.

  • The electronic acupuncture has the advantage of treating the patient with acupuncture by simultaneously analyzing the patient's physical condition and treatment condition. In this paper, it is proposed and developed an electronic acupuncture algorithm embedded in a multi pad. Especially, it is implemented the control algorithm using the optimal electronic dipstick calculation, sensing pad and DSP system for the patient's body condition. Moreover, in this paper, it is developed SW and HW prototypes that can receive personal information by patient and can receive multi-array type electronc needle guiding procedure based on WEB.

  • In this paper, we developed a Web application program that could show the shape, the number of the vertices, the edges, the faces and development figures of polygons(regular tetrahedron, regular hexahedron, etc). The program was implemented using GSP(Geometer's SketchPad) and then converted to JAVA to display the results of GSP on the Web. The results of this paper are applicable to geometry of a junior high school course.

European Creator Economy's Web3.0 Business Model Case Study

  • In this paper, we are interested in how creator economy startups allowing creators to make money from doing that they love. So, we look at European creator economy startups among Web3.0 business model landscape surveyed in 2022, because the US is home of Web2.0 giant platforms like YouTube. Totally seventeen European startups are investigated, and the theoretical logic is the disruptive innovation. We firstly review the survey published in 2022 and utilize the theory of the disruptive innovation to design the research framework including questions with each type of the disruptive innovation. In this paper, we firstly show, Kalao and Gem as NFT ecosystem platforms aim at service convenience. Secondly, Talkbase, Passionfroot, Bildr, Customuse, and Earnr aim at providing creator tools for under-skilled customers. Lastly, when it comes direct monetization with a decentralized business model, CrowdPad, Admix, GOALS, Realm, Dropstar, Pianity, Sonomo, Stage11, Miiji, and ReadyPlayerMe are representative. Despite the relatively small data size, the results are meaningful as they contribute to a more profound comprehension of the Web3.0 business models and offer guidance for future research directions.

  • Due to the development of the digital technology, the territories of broadcasting and telecommunications are being converged and there have been the efforts to eliminate the spatial and/or temporal restrictions in utilizing the services (usually implemented as applications) via various devices (e.g. smart-phone, smart TV, pad-computer, etc). In the circumstances, Web is coming to the fore as a common running platform of the services and the digital broadcasting receivers are pressed to run Web applications as well as Java applications, which are the standard of data service of the digital broadcasting. The paper introduces a platform for running HTML5-based Web applications, which is equipped with a Web kernel (an engine for running HTML5 Web applications), a Web desktop (the facilities (with an UI similar to Window OS) for managing Web applications), and SDK (a set of API's for Web application developers).

  • Real-time video communication technology of hybrid Web-based using JavaScript and HTML5 today is on the rise. Therefore, in this paper, we have studied the real-time videoo communication technology using a Web browser that supports HTML5. It has been designed and implemented a system based on HTML5 and JavaScript, allowing for video communication of real-time, such as you would using the HTTP/WebSockets and RTC API through the Web servers in the Web browser between different each other, utilizing a Web browser was. It is available in a usable terminal equipment of a Web browser PC or notebook, smart pad, such as a smart phone, which is available without installation, such as a plug-in register or another. In all environments the network is connected, it is available in all terminals use the Web browser is enabled, which will be utilized in the field of video communication in a restricted environment.

  • This paper proposes a frame work for embedded system management. The management system can automatically monitor and maintain the Internet connected embedded-systems such as sensor devices, set-top box, web-pad, information appliances, PDA, etc. Users can easily diagnose system state, resolve system problems, maintain and update applications, and back up user information using the management system. We implement prototype for the management system on embedded Linux system and High -available Linux system.

  • 범용 컴퓨터가 아닌 홈 네트워크로 연결된 정보가전용 실시간 시스템에 내장되는 운영체제인 정보가전용 실시간 운영체제는 디지털 TV, 웹 TV, WebPad, PDA, Smart Phone 등에 사용된다. 그러나 정보가전용 실시간 운영체제는 선점형 스케줄링, 멀티 태스킹 및 태스크간 예측 가능한 동기화 방법 그리고 짧고 제한된 인터럽트 처리와 작은 실행 이미지 등과 같은 특징들을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 특징들을 만족하는 정보가전용 실시간 운영체제를 DVD 플레이어에 적용하여 설계 및 구현한 내용을 기술한다.
