  • With the rapid growth of e-commerce, marketers are able to observe not only purchasing behavior on what and when customers purchased, but also the individual Web usage behavior that affect purchasing. The richness of this information has the potential to provide marketers with an in-depth understanding of customer. Using commonly available Web log data, this paper examines Web usage behaviors at the individual level. By decomposing the buying process into a pattern of visits and purchase conversion at each visit, we can better understand the relationship between Web usage behavior and purchase decision. This allows us to more accurately forecast a shopper's future purchase decision at the site and hence determine the value of individual customers to the siteAccording to our research, not only information seeking behavior but also visiting duration of a customer and participative behavior such as participation in event should be considered as important predicators of purchase decision of customer in a cosmetic internet shopping mall.

금융소비자 특성별 금융서비스 중요 요인에 대한 탐색 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Important Factors of Financial Services Depending on the Types of Financial Consumers)

  • There have been some research papers on financial services marketing, but there are only few exploratory studies that analyze characteristics of financial consumers in Korea. This study examines, based on FGI and web survey results, which factors consumers consider more important when choosing their financial services. I found that 'product profitability' is the most important factor when consumers choose their financial services, followed by 'relational benefits', 'convenience', 'product diversity', 'company stability', 'branch satisfaction', and 'social responsibility' in order of importance. The study also showed that there are differences in perception of these important factors depending on the types of consumers such as gender, age, size of financial assets, degree of risk-taking, and main financial company they are using. This study hopefully provide implications to marketing managers in financial services that they could decide which factors they have to focus on more when planning marketing strategies. Another objective of this study is to provide useful insights to the future researchers in financial services marketing.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate into the practical cases of social marketing and to seek the practical strategy in fashion business. These practical cases were investigated through theses, professional books, fashion magazines, fashion newspapers, daily newspapers and web site, etc. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The social marketing by decision-making is able to practice and to set up a strategy in consumerism, humanism and environmentalism. 2. The social marketing by feedforward is able to practice and to set up a strategy in business strategy and product strategy. 3. The social marketing by administrative is able to practice and to set up a strategy in product development, price decision, distribution management and advertisement & promotion. 4. The social marketing by total system is able to practice and to set up a strategy in marketing planning and self-audits system.

웹사이트 디자인의 시각적 요소와 유용성이 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Visual Aesthetics and Usability of Web Site Design on their Performance)

  • Most research on web site design has focused on technological factors, while visual aesthetic factors have been considered less important. In contrast, this study focuses on visual aesthetic factors in web site design. Findings of this study can be summarized as follows : (1) The result of SPSS-factor analysis shows that there are 3 distinct factors, 'classical aesthetics', 'expressive aesthetics', and 'usability' 'Classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics' can be described by visual aesthetic design, 'Visual aesthetic design' can be distinguished from 'usability'. This conceptual confusion relating to 'usability' and 'visual aesthetic design' can be clarified by these findings. (2) As a result of multiple regression analyses, 'classical aesthetics', 'expressive aesthetics', and 'usability' have a positive influence on 'interactivity' and 'web site evaluation'. This research clarifies the concepts of 'expectations' of Grier [18] and 'engagement' of Rosen and Purinton [33] as the 'interactivity' between users and web sites. Furthermore, this research suggests a valid model with high $R^2$(interactivity, 48% : web site evaluation, 68%). (3) Empirical tests show that the differences among users in 'entry point' are related to the characteristics of web sites and the personal characteristics of users. The differences among users in terms of 'scanning time' are closely related to the attitudes and evaluation tendencies of users with respect to web sites. These findings could contribute to the 'search phase' of the Faraday model [16], enabling it to be more precise and extensible. The managerial implication of this study is that customers' preferences regarding web site designs are differences, as their preferences are based on their individual characteristics. Therefore, marketing managers should consider promotional tools on web sites that are relevant to the target market. An optimal strategy for web design could be a carefully-selected combination of factors that are relevant to the 'interactivity' and 'evaluation' of web sites. Additionally, if marketing managers want to attract more favorable attitudes and more affirmative evaluations from users, web sites should be designed so that they are understood more quickly by users. finally, this study suggests that 'good design' for web sites depends on understanding how to attain the appropriate balance between 'classical aesthetics' and 'expressive aesthetics', based on the target customer.

  • Of the various data that corporations can approach, web log data are important data that correspond to data analysis to implement customer relations management strategies. As the volume of approachable data has increased exponentially due to the Internet and popularization of smart phone, web log data have also increased a lot. As a result, it has become difficult to expand storage to process large amounts of web logs data flexibly and extremely hard to implement a system capable of categorizing, analyzing, and processing web log data accumulated over a long period of time. This study thus set out to apply Hadoop, a distributed processing system that had recently come into the spotlight for its capacity of processing large volumes of data, and propose an efficient analysis plan for large amounts of web log. The study checked the forms of web log by the effective web log collection methods and the web log levels by using Hadoop and proposed analysis techniques and Hadoop organization designs accordingly. The present study resolved the difficulty with processing large amounts of web log data and proposed the activity patterns of users through web log analysis, thus demonstrating its advantages as a new means of marketing.

  • 본 논문에서는 수산업을 주산업으로 하고 있는 통영지역의 정보활성화에 대하여 연구하였다. 그리고 정보의 효용가치를 극대화시키기 위한 방안으로 해양정보망, 수산정보망, 수산유통정보망 등 세 가지의 네트워크 모델을 제시하였다. 해양정보망에서는 해양환경 및 해양생물의 정보화에 대해서, 수산정보망에서는 어업 및 양식업의 정보화에 대해서, 수산유통정보망에서는 양식 및 일반 어류유통의 정보화에 대한 방안을 제시하였다. 각 정보망에서 수집된 자료는 실시간으로 처리하여 최종 사용자가 항상 최신의 자료를 사용할 수 있도록 Web 기반에서의 서비스를 구현하였다.

  • 기업의 웹 프로모션 사이트는 전 세계를 대상으로 마케팅을 펼칠 수 있으며, 브랜드 이미지를 다양한 표현방법으로 알릴 수 있고, 제품에 대한 정보를 다양한 각도로 흥미롭게 전달할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 기업 프로모션 사이트에서 효과적으로 정보를 전달하기 위해서는 소비자와의 인터랙션이 중요한 요인이며, 이를 위해 인터랙티브 스토리텔링의 이해가 필수적이다. 본 논문은 기업의 프로모션 사이트를 제작함에 있어 소비자의 효과적인 인터렉션을 유도할 수 있는 인터랙티브 스토리텔링에 대해 연구하고자 하는 목적을 가진다. 그 결과 인터넷 마케팅 프로모션의 단계인 방문유도, 흥미유발 및 참여유도, 고객정보획득, 고객의 니즈파악, 고객별 가치제공을 기준으로 웹 프로모션사이트의 인터랙티브 스토리텔링 사례를 분석하였다.

  • Recently 'full browsing service' is growing rapidly throughout the world. This service allows mobile phone users to access websites using their mobile phone as they do using a PC. Despite the rapid expansion of the mobile phone market, however, criteria or scales for evaluating the new services are being developed slowly and far behind the current demand trends. Thus, this study proposed a customer satisfaction evaluation model for full browsing services through empirical research. The proposed model is expected to derive and suggest key factors that users consider important in full browsing services and those factors can be used in developing marketing strategies for maintaining existing customers and creating new customers.

남북한 전자상거래의 지속가능한 단계별 추진방안 (Sustainable Stepwise Promotion of South-North Korean e-MP)

  • The trade volume between South and North Korea has reached 1 billion dollars in year 2005. This means the economic motives may prevail over the political concerns between two regimes from now on. At the same time, the direct telecommunication lines installed to promote the IT collaboration. Based on these monumental issues, the research focuses on the workable mechanism of the South-North Korean e-Market Place(e-MP) collaboration project. The research analyzes on the capabilities as well as willingness of the South and North Korea for the e-MP, and concludes with four stepwise approach to promote the South and North Korean e-MP. The first step initiates the web marketing integration, and then the second step provides the legal environments. The third step promotes the on-/off- trade-automation via infrastructure collaboration, and the final step expands and deepens the flexibility as well as openness of the e-MP.
