An extensive numerical analysis is carried out to investigate the slope stability of the wasted mine tailing landfill constructed by the utilization of fine recycled-concrete aggregates. To do this, first, the physical and mechanical properties of the fine recycled-concrete aggregates and the wasted mine tailing are investigated, and the settlement and the change of material properly of the fine recycled-concrete aggregates resulted from reaction with water are also examined. The $OH^-$ elution from the fine recycled-concrete aggregates reacted with water slightly causes the change of material properties such as porosity, permeability and waster absorption, but the settlement does not happen noticeably. The results of numerical analysis of the landfill slope built with wasted mine tailing and recycled-concrete aggregates in alternate layer indicate that slope stability increases with decreasing the slope ratio, with decreasing the groundwater level inside slope, and with increasing the depth of fine recycled-concrete aggregate layer. Based on this study, thus, engineers working in related to the wasted mine tailing landfill design and construction using the fine recycled-concrete aggregates should be considered the slope ratio, the groundwater level, the depth of fine recycled-concrete aggregate layer.
The heavy metal contents and their dispersion patterns in stream water, stream sediments, land plants and aquatic larvae collected from the hydrologic system flowing via the wasted ore dump of the Moak Au-Ag mine were investigated systematically in order to evaluate the environmental impacts of the abandoned metal mine. The heavy metal content increases abruptly in the vicinity of the wasted ore dump, then attenuated with increasing distance from the mine area. Attenuating rates were stream water > stream sediments > land plants > aquatic larvae. On the other hand, the cumulative content of heavy metals was stream sediments >aquatic larvae > land plants > stream water. Each element tends to be enriched selectively according to media; Zn > Cu > Cd > Pb in stream water, Zn > Pb > Cu > Cd in stream sediments and land plants, and Zn > Cu > Pb > Cd in aquatic larvae. These results show that the degree of enrichment and dispersion of pollutant extruded from the wasted ore dump are different according to elements and media, and that the circulation system of materials of each medium is different. The heavy metals, especially Cu, Pb and Zn, of polluted downstream sediments occur in high proportions of Fe-Mn oxides and organic bounded forms, which show high potential of a secondary pollution source. The content of heavy metals and their dispersion patterns in stream sediments are different from those of ten years ago; pollution levels of heavy metals were degraded in various ranges. The Zn and Cu-polluted areas were widened whereas Fe and Pb-polluted areas were reduced. In crops collected from the farm lands in downstream area, the pepper was more concentrated in all heavy metal than rice. The pepper showed some contaminated level in Cu(9.7ppm) and Zn(149ppm), and the rice in Zn(90ppm). However, both crops showed no significant level in Cd(<0.2ppm) and Pb(<0.5ppm).
Pyrite contained in wasted ore dumps induces a strong acid environment when it contacts oxygenated rainfall. Present research was designed to evaluate the pollution of an area that is supposedly contaminated by pyrite of ore wasted dumps form in Chonju Il Mine. Measured are the pH and selected heavy metal elements in the supposedly polluted hydrologic system. The samples include three types : those collected from the stream waters; those from the stream sediments; and those from the rice field soil scattered over the area. The dispersion path of the pollution source was also traced. The pH of the hydrologic system ranged from 3.44 to 5.46, which clearly indicates that the area is on the acid environment. The pH tends to rise as the distance from the minehead increases. The content of heavy metal elements dissolved in the stream water varies as follows; Mn=69.73~1.99ppm, Cd=0.02~0.03ppm, Zn=0.77~1.18ppm, Cu=0.04~0.13ppm, Pb=0.22~0.32ppm. The stream water in this state may induce serious heavy metal pollution to the agricultural land and the water for human life especially in the villages down the stream. The content of heavy metal elements dissolved in the stream sediment varies as follows; Mn=245.0~4685.0ppm, Cd=10.0~15.0ppm, Zn=105.0~210.0ppm, Cu=65.0~155.0ppm, Pb=90.0~150.0ppm. The content of heavy metal elements dissolved in the rice field soil varies as follows; Mn=185.0~260.0ppm, Cd=10.0~15.0ppm, Zn=135.0~180.0ppm, Cu=65.0~90.0ppm, Pb=100.0~130.0ppm. The pollution index in the stream sediment and the rice field sell is 1.36~2.03, which shows that pollution had already begun all over the area where the samples were collected.
The mineralogy of material left after evaporation of acid mine drainage water is generally dependent on the chemical composition of the source water. The residues formed by the evaporation of acid mine water in the Dong-hae coal mine area consists mainly of gypsum (CaSO$_4${\circ}$2$H_2O$) with mine. amounts of alunogen (Al$_2$(SO$_4$)$_3$${\circ}$17$H_2O$) and hexahydrite (MgSO$_4$${\circ}$<.TEX>6$H_2O$). Gypsum was identified from both of the bottom precipitates and the evaporation residues of acid mine water. Alunogen, an aluminum sulfate hydrate, was also formed by evaporation and occurred as needle-like crystals. Aluminum is derived from chemical dissolution of alumine-silicate mineral such as pyre-phyllite, illite and chlorite in wasted rocks. Hexahydrite in evaporation residues occured as needle-like, fibrous, and acicular crystals and was associated with gypsum and alunogen.

The reinforced concrete blocks for reinforced earth layer are combined with soil structures consisted of facing unit, reinforcing materials and soil. Those environmentally friendly facing units of reinforced concrete blocks are made of mine waste and tailing and that will be played a role of the effects of recycling use of wasted resources. The block are consisted of three types as curved or straight in order to control topography. The systems are also not limited to wall hight so that they are effectively used for protecting the slope of banking and cutting of earth works. The reinforced concrete blocks developed this time will be effectively applied for not only retaining wall, road, park, golf course, public office building constructions but also protecting of slope stabilization projects.

In this paper, we analyzed the performance of IoT based smart wearable mine detection device. There are various mine detection methods currently used by the military. Still, in the general field, mine detection is performed by visual detection, probe detection, detector detection, and other detection methods. The detection method by the detector is using a GPR sensor on the detector, which is possible to detect metals, but it is difficult to identify non-metals. It is hard to distinguish whether the area where the detection was performed or not. Also, there is a problem that a lot of human resources and time are wasted, and if the user does not move the sensor at a constant speed or moves too fast, it is difficult to detect landmines accurately. Therefore, we studied the smart wearable mine detection device composed of human body antenna, main microprocessor, smart glasses, body-mounted LCD monitor, wireless data transmission, belt type power supply, black box camera, which is to improve the problem of the error of mine detection using unidirectional ultrasonic sensing signal. Based on the results of this study, we will conduct an experiment to confirm the possibility of detecting underground mines based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This paper consists of an introduction, experimental environment composition, simulation analysis, and conclusion. Introduction introduces the research contents such as mines, mine detectors, and research progress. It consists of large anti-personnel mine, M16A1 fragmented anti-mine, M15 and M19 antitank mines, plastic bottles similar to mines and aluminum cans. Simulation analysis is conducted by using MATLAB to analyze the mine detection device implementation performance, generating and transmitting IoT signals, and analyzing each received signal to verify the detection performance of landmines. Then we will measure the performance through the simulation of IoT-based mine detection algorithm so that we will prove the possibility of IoT-based detection landmine.
Wasted${\cdot}$rested mine areas give lots of effect on around-environmental changes after mining development. Leaching water at reclaimed land has been eluted from the solid components through physical, chemical, biological procedures by waters percolated through reclaimed site. The element analysis of waste tungsten ore tailing, leaching water analysis and removal of heavy metal by zeolite were performed to investigate the influent of acid rain on the released contents of H. M. The heavy metal contents in leaching water were determined to be As $1.21\;{\sim}\;1.54\;ppm$, Pb $0.11\;{\sim}\;0.15\;ppm$ and $SO_4\;^{2-}$ was $302\;{\sim}\;378ppm$. As deionized water and simulated acid rain (pH 3,4) were percolated through columns packed tungsten ore tailing, the amount of Mn, Na, Ca which were dissolved by pH4 solution was higher than those by distilled water. However, W and Mo were eluted easily by high pH solution. The change of heavy metal concentration by column experiment packed zeolite was effective a little because heavy metals were adsorved much more by zeolite.
The Dalseong acid mine drainage were studied focused on the characters of schwertmannite that controls geochemistry of the stream. Besides chemical analysis of stream water, particle size analysis, XRD SEM and TEM were performed on precipitates of streams and on wasted metalliferous ores. The AMD discharged from the abandoned mine reveals a decrease of pH and EC downward stream. Euhedral sulfur occurs as equigranular aggregates on the altered pyrite while fine acicula goethite coalesces to form cross, star, or starfish-like shapes. Water chemistry plotted on the Eh-pH diagram shows that schwertmannite and ferrihydrite are stable phases. Reddish brown precipitates consist of mostly schwertmannite with less goethite, whereas yellowish brown precipitates are composed of geothite with less schwertmannite. The particle size of precipitates ranges $d(0.1)\;0.861{\mu}m{\sim}3.769{\mu}m,\;d(0.5)\;3.984{\mu}m{\sim}15.255{\mu}m,\;and\;d(0.9)\;9.875{\mu}m{\sim}56.726{\mu}m$. Schwertmannite is characterized by equigranular spheric form. Pincushion or spicule with 100nm width and $200{\sim}300nm$length form on schwertmannite sphere with radial growth patterns. It is highly probable that reddish or yellowish brown precipitates formed in many AMDs may contain schwerhnannite. Because it can serve as sink for removing heavy elements by adsorption in AMD system, there is a need to correctly identify schwertmannite in precipitates and to characterize its phase stability.
Sulfates such as alunite and schwertmannite formed under oxidation condition play a important role in geochemical processes taken place at waste dumps and a creek from Dalseong mine, Daegu. Water chemistry shows pH decreases from upstream toward downstream creek, mainly due to formation of schwertmannite that is the most abundant phase along the creek. The removal of Al from the creek is preferentially attributed to formation of Al-bearing minerals and Al-sulphates. Among them, alunite is the most important Al-sink phase that occurs at higher pH than $pK_1$, Al hydrolysis constant. With high saturation index, alunite formed at the creek has a spherical form, commonly associated with schwertmannite. Secondary minerals formed on the surface of altered or weathered surfaces of heavy metals from the wasted dump that underwent severe oxidation, where alunite has characteristic habits which are spheric, radiating, and botrytis-like aggregates. Natroalunite occurs in association with alunite, or as mixtures of both of them. Because the pH decreases with distance due to formation of schwertmannite, although total contents of dissolved ions slowly lessen at least in the AMD, it is expected that the minerals precipitated at the creek can be exposed to subsequent dissolution, which may induce possible environmental problems.
This study was conducted to find out the effect of several improvers such as triple super phosphate, slaked lime, wollastonite and gypsum for reducing Cd content in brown rice. Several improvers were applied to two different types of soils which are contaminated with copper-zinc mine wasted and sludge.(Soil I contained Cd : 7.88, Cu : 57.9, Zn : 175.0 ppm, Soil II contained Cd : 3.95, Cu : 30.2, Zn :124.0 ppm) In general, effects of improvers on reducing content of Cd, Cu and Zn in brown rice were greater in soil I than soil II. In soil I, the Cd content of brown rice was reduced to 0.4ppm below by application of triple superphosphate, fused phosphate, slaked lime and gypsum, 98, 225, 190 and 276Kg/10a, respectively. Triple superphosphate was more effective than fused phosphate in reducing uptake of Cd, Cu and Zn by applying them as an equal amount of phosphorous, also to equal alkalinity, slaked lime had the highest effect. Negatively linear effect was found between soil pH and Cd and Zn content in brown rice. As to above results, it was no doubt that triple superphosphate, fused phosphate and slaked lime would be applied to reduced heavy metals in brown rice. The slaked lime, triple super phosphate and fused phosphate were available to reduce uptake of Cd, Cu and Zn by rice plant grown in the soil contaminated with mine waste and sludge.
