This study aims to propose operational directions for establishing Support Centers for Childcare (SCC) as central institutions in local communities by examining the performance status of community-linked projects of SCC. To achieve this, an analysis of performance related to community-linked projects was conducted focusing on SCC activity reports from 2018 to 2022, encompassing the past five years. Upon examination of the analysis results, several findings emerged. Firstly, there was a substantial number of achievements with non-profit organizations and public institutions as the types of institutions involved in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with a predominant focus on educational and informational support within the MOU contents. Secondly, collaboration among institutions within the local community primarily centered around education and administrative support, with a significant portion of support activities being conducted through meetings. Thirdly, individual volunteer contributions were prevalent in events and administrative support, while volunteer efforts were notable in areas such as cleaning toys. Based on these findings, recommendations for community-linked projects of SCC were derived.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of heat application on the immune activities of the human body. To exam, furthermore, the immune effect from the healthy volunteer(male:15, female:15) by monitoring changes of immune substances such as various leukocytes[total white blood cell(WBC), eosinophil, neutrophil, basophil, monocyte, and lymphocyte], a comparative study with warm water immersion($40.8{\pm}0.3^{\circ}C$) and infrared(250W) was carried out. The plasma analysis showed that the count of white blood cell, eosinophil, and neutrophil were elevated in warm water immersion- or infrared. stimulated group compared with control group. However, the count of basophil was decreased in both warm water immersion- and infrared-stimulated group than control group. Therefore, these results suggest that the thermostimulation improved immune activity.

Recently, in our society, the use of smartphones has been widespread and changed our lives positively; however, the excessive use of smartphones has also produced many side effects. In particular, we can see that the reckless use of smartphones has constantly increased smartphone addiction propensities. University students, too, show smartphone addiction propensities more and more gradually; therefore this study intends to perform research related with smartphone addiction propensities with university students as the subjects. Since it is more and more important to perform leisure activities to prevent smartphone addiction and reduce addiction propensities, it can be said that the research on the correlation between leisure activities and smartphone addiction propensities is significant. The major findings of the research are as follows: First, among the smartphone addiction propensities, their tolerance and disturbance of adaptive function were relatively higher than other factors. Second, overall smartphone addiction affects the variables of gender (male), school year (freshmen), economic leisure constraints, time leisure constraints, and the adequacy of travel behavior, sports behavior, media use behavior, reading behavior, volunteer work and religious behavior. The adequacy of the media use behavior variables showed the greatest impact.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience of nursing students who volunteered as dementia partners for elderly persons with dementia. Methods: This qualitative study utilized focus group interviews to investigate the experiences of 20 nursing students who performed dementia partner activities for more than one year. Data were analysed using an inductive content analysis approach based on Elo & Kyngäs. Results: The analysis yielded the following four major themes: "becoming a dementia expert," "becoming an evangelist for prevention of dementia," "overcoming prejudices against aged with dementia," and "acquiring motivation and skills of geriatric nursing" That means the experience as a dementia partner serves as an opportunity to broaden human understanding and shows its potential as a means to complement the effectiveness of practical nursing education. Conclusion: Dementia partner experiences have changed the perception, attitude and behavior of nursing students about the aged with dementia, so there is a need to extend this kind of experience to other students in nursing. Moreover, educational policy support should be continuously provided for this purpose.

The purpose of this study was to explore the influences of personality and the money attitude on the giving of money by university students. 275 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis of this study. The questionnaire includes attitudes towards money and giving money, whether or not respondents had a NGO membership, the level of participation into volunteer service, and other demographic information. The results of the study show that, female, middle class students with no religious preference tended to be more positiveabout giving money. There was a positive relationship between citizenship and giving money attitudes. It means that more actively attended citizenship activities were by students, the more positive attitudes towards giving money they had. The compulsive & consumptive types were more sardonic than others. The managerial types perceived less negatively giving organization. Based on these results, the following have been suggested in order to expand personal giving attitudes, voluntary programs, and activities related to the civil society for students. There needs to be a financial management education program with a balance struck between expenditure categories of consumption and non-consumption, including giving money to others.

Lactobacillus strains were isolated from volunteer's feces, including from newly-born infants and adults in their 20's, by using differential MRS-BPB plates. Total 56 presumptive Lactobacillus strains were isolated and the bacteriocin productions by the isolates were examined by agar diffusion method. Six bacteriocin-producing strains were confirmed. Among them, two isolates, HU-1 and H22-3, showed the most outstanding antimicrobial activities, which were not affected by pH adjustments or catalase treatments of culture. HU-1 was originated from a two-years old boy and H22-3 was originated from a newly-born infant. HU-1 and H22-3 had the same morphology(short rod) when examined by scanning electron microscope, and the same biochemical traits including growth temperature range, salt tolerance and sugar-fermenting abilities. But the growth-inhibition spectrum and plasmid profiles of HU-1 and H22-3 were different. Both strains inhibited the growth of various Gram (+) microorganisms including Listeria monocytogenes. Micrococcus luteus, and Staphylococcus aureus in addition to many species of lactic acid bacteria, indicating the production of broad-spectrum bacteriocins. Bacteriocins produced by HU-1 and H22-3 were stable up to 90℃, 15 min heat treatments. Their activities were not affected by pepsin or trypsin treatments but destroyed by proteinaseK or pronase treatments.

Purpose: This study explored a plan for improving the overall preventive activity of Korean Citizen-Corps-Active-in-Disaster (CAIND). Methods: The study used the documentary survey and the technical approach methods. This way, detailed information regarding civil anti-disaster organizations was found in scholarly monographs, specialty publications, and master's/doctoral dissertations. It further utilized the statistical yearbooks between 2015 and 2018 from the Korean Ministry of Public Administration, Security, and Fire Service, and the National Statistical Office, to discover practical problems through a statistical analysis. Volunteer activities being inherent, related issues were reviewed at the same time to for purposes of clarifying the characteristics of disaster prevention activity by CAIND. Results: The study provided four major suggestions for improvement. First, the quota management system of Korean CAIND considering the characteristics of rural areas should be supplemented. Second, the education and training systems of Korean CAIND should be established to satisfy regional conditions. Third, management members' readership competency in operating organizations, including that of the Korean CAIND captain in charge, should be strengthened. Fourth, the reward system for Korean CAIND activities should be improved. Conclusion: In the future, the results of this study are expected to be utilized as a basic data to develop Korean CAIND.

This study set out to examine the actual management of 21 small libraries in the Jeju region and search for their vitalization plans based on it with a survey among practitioners. For these purposes, the investigator examined the overall real conditions of small libraries in their management and work situations covering their service hours, program management, volunteer activities, facility expansion, exchanges with common public libraries, work-related education, job priorities, promotional activities, and service for vitalization. Based on findings, the study proposed to induce local residents' interest in small libraries, expand reading culture program, secure professionalism of management manpower, recruit more management manpower, expand budgets for the management of a small library, establish a set of criteria for the expenses of management manpower, build a support center for small libraries.

The Purpose of the study is to analyze present state of the volunteers in cultural program activities in Korean libraries and for reinforcing library volunteer activity. 2,349 volunteers were asked questionaires for the purpose looking into present state. The factors were number of regional participants, libraries which have partaken, number of participants per program, and participating programs. The programs that volunteers have partaken, its kind, relative importance of the partaken program, "non-reading" program's contents, preferable program by each targeted users, and the most participated program were analyzed.

The Purpose of the study is to analyze present state of the volunteers activities in Korean libraries and for reinforcing Library volunteer activity. 180,000 people were asked questionaires for the purpose looking into present state. the analysed places of the subject are public library and school library where most of volunteers work. this research is greatly meant due to the collection of broad investigation through the public library and school library in Korea. A questionnaire made to twice and the results were shown in four parts which are the aspects of the participant, the volunteers' duty, the management of the volunteers(training and recruitment), and about cultural program volunteers.
