초전도 케이블의 Quench 특성에 대한 계통안전성 제어방식 (Power System Security Control Method for Quench Characteristic of High-Temperature Superconducting Cable)

  • 본 논문은 고온 초전도 케이블을 전력계통의 송전용량 증대를 위해 적용시켰을 경우, 고장발생시 초전도케이블에서 예상되는 ??????치의 영향에 대해 안전하게 제어할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 접근 방법으로는 초전도케이블의 ??????치 특성을 열평형 방정식으로 모델링하고 그 결과 고장전류에 따른 케이블의 설계 최대 온도상승한계에 도달하는 시간을 산출하여 기존의 보호계전시스템의 차단시간과 비교함으로서 안전성 여부를 판정하였다. ??????치발생 고장시간을 모의하기 위해 초전도케이블용 EMTDC모형을 개발하였으며, 모의 결과 초전도 케이블 계통을 보호할 수 있는 안전성 제어방식이 설계 가능함을 보였다.

Evanohm R 합금 히터를 사용한 크로멜-콘스탄탄 다중접합 열전변환기의 제작 및 특성 (Fabrication and Characteristics of Chromel-Constantan Multijunction Thermal Converter with Evanohm R Alloy Heater)

  • A thin-film multijunction thermal converter was fabricated through the process using 6 inch silicon wafer semiconductor process and bulk micromachining. Evanohm R alloy and chromel-constantan were used as a heater and thermocouple materials, respectively. The temperature coefficient of resistance of Evanohm R heater was about 75.12 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ and the voltage sensitivity of the thermal converter indicated about 5.75 mV/mW in air. The transfer differences, measured by FRDC-DC method in the frequency range from 20 Hz to 10 kHz, showed the value under about 1.36 ppm, 0.83 ppm for the film thickness of 500, 200 nm, respectively. And in case of a 200 nm-thick thermal converter, the AC-DC transfer differences seems to be stabilized below the value of 1 ppm in the frequency range from 1 kHz to 500 kHz.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of arc current and contact velocity on the erosion of silver contact to be used in low voltage circuit breakers. The arc current range from $2kA_{rms}$ to $20kA_{rms}$. A test system allows the control of the opening velocity profiles with contact velocities up to 10m/s and also enables the synchronization of the contact opening with a point on the arc current waveform. Contact erosion is evaluated by measuring the mass change of the cathode and anode. The results show that increase the opening velocity from 2m/s to 6m/s leads to an decrease in the contact erosion. The material transfer from one electrode to another is shown to depend on the transfer charge and the opening velocity of the contacts.

  • 일반적인 실리콘 트랜지스터는 단방향성특성을 갖는다. 도핑 물질에 따라서 p형 혹은 n형 반도체 물질로 케리어가 달라지고 동작 영역도 달라지기 때문에 반도체 소자는 조건에 따라서 한쪽 방향으로만 동작한다. 이러한 특성은 문턱전압에 의해서 구분된다. 반도체소자인 트랜지스터의 안정성은 문턱전압의 의존도가 높아서 문턱전압이 너무 낮을 경우 한쪽방향으로 동작하는 단방향성 반도체소자를 만들기가 어려워진다. 트랜지스터의 안정성은 반도체센서의 감도에 직접적인 영향을 미치게 되며 현재까지 나와 있는 전자센서들의 감도를 높이기 위해서는 다양한 형태의 화합물의 감지를 전기신호로 변환할 때 얼마나 낮은 전기신호를 감지할 수 있는지에 따라서 달라지며 고감도 센서로써 전자소자의 안정성이 결정된다. 트랜지스터의 안정성을 높이기 위하여 ~ nA 수준의 전기신호에 대한 반응성을 조사 분석하여 고감도의 신호 반응을 나타내는 소재 물질의 양방향성 전달특성에 대하여 분석하고 조사하였다.

수 원자층 두께의 MoS2 채널을 가진 전계효과 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압 스트레스에 의한 I-V 특성 변화 (The Change of I-V Characteristics by Gate Voltage Stress on Few Atomic Layered MoS2 Field Effect Transistors)

  • Atomically thin $MoS_2$ single crystals have a two-dimensional structure and exhibit semiconductor properties, and have therefore recently been utilized in electronic devices and circuits. In this study, we have fabricated a field effect transistor (FET), using a CVD-grown, 3 nm-thin, $MoS_2$ single-crystal as a transistor channel after transfer onto a $SiO_2/Si$ substrate. The $MoS_2$ FETs displayed n-channel characteristics with an electron mobility of $0.05cm^2/V-sec$, and a current on/off ratio of $I_{ON}/I_{OFF}{\simeq}5{\times}10^4$. Application of bottom-gate voltage stresses, however, increased the interface charges on $MoS_2/SiO_2$, incurred the threshold voltage change, and degraded the device performance in further measurements. Exposure of the channel to UV radiation further degraded the device properties.

  • Mg$_2$SnO$_4$having an inverse spinel structure was selected as a new host material of $Mn^{2+}$ activator. The luminescence of the $Mg_2$SnO$_4$:Mn phosphor prepared by the solid-state reaction were investigated under ultraviolet and low-voltage electron excitation. The Mn-doped magnesium tin oxide exhibited strong green emission with the spectrum centered at 500nm wavelength. It was explained that the green emission in $Mg_2$SnO$_4$:Mn phosphor is due to energy transfer from $^4T_1to ^6A_1\;of\; Mn^{2+}$ ion at tetrahedral site in the spinel structure. The optimum concentration of $Mn^{2+}$/ion exhibiting maximum emission intensity by the low-voltage electron excitation was 0.6mol%. ?

주택용 단상 ESS-PCS의 LC 필터위치에 따른 상용변압기의 특성 (Characteristics of Utility Transformer on Household Single-Phase ESS-PCS According to LC Filter Location)

  • Shortage of electric power occurs frequently along with increased electric power demand. ESS is a precaution to solve this issue. Household ESS has a capacity of approximately 3 kW/7 kWh. Household ESS batteries are typically designed with nominal voltages between 40 and 50 V. To connect household ESS with a 220 V AC system, low battery voltages in power conditioning system (PCS) should be boosted. To boost low battery voltage and match it with AC grid voltage, the use of a transformer for a commercial frequency can be considered. To attenuate switching harmonics of the household single-phase ESS-PCS, LC filter can be installed in two positions: on the primary side or on the secondary side of a transformer. A method has been used generally in single-phase inverters for the ESS-PCS. In another method, however, the output efficiency of the ESS-PCS may be decreased. Parasitic components of the transformer can affect voltage losses, when the square wave with the switching frequency in the ESS-PCS is passed through the transformer windings. In this work, the characteristics of the transformer according to the position of an LC filter are investigated for household single-phase ESS-PCS.

  • Silver is known to have such characteristics as low shear strength, good transfer-film forming tendency, and good corrosion resistance. Silver thin films have been prepared by ion plating of physical vapour deposition (PVD) using both argon gas pressure and bias voltage of processing condition. After the silver films were prepared, the properties in them were examined by gas pressure and bias voltage of substrate. Their morphology and crystal orientation were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffractor. The properties of film were, also, studied to relate with morphology, X-ray diffraction pattern, and friction coefficient at vacuum ambient. The friction coefficient was stabilized remarkably on deposited films with increasing argon pressure for deposition. Also, the effect of increasing of the bias voltage for deposition resulted in lower friction coefficient and stability in $1.7$\times$10^{-4}$ torr. On the contrary, behavior of friction coefficient was stabilized on deposited films with decreasing the bias voltage in $1.7$\times$10^{-5}$ torr for deposition.

개인용 고주파 전기자극기의 주파수 가변 설계 및 출력 특성의 분석 (Analysis of Output Characteristics and Frequency Variation Design for Personal High Frequency Electrical Stimulation Medical Devices)

  • In this paper, personal electrical stimulation medcial devices using bioelectrical stimulating was developed. Therapy effect of RET(resistive electric transfer) was more effective than CET(capacitive electric transfer), but CET was adopted because of safety issue. Then, the optimum parameters that may be effective in thin skin or facial wrinkles was set. For example, the frequency of the pulse voltage for stimulation is 1.8[MHz], burst frequency is 7[kHz] or 400[Hz], the development of devices was to have ON/OFF control and frequency control. When burst frequency was adjusted 7[kHz], heat was generated in the electrode. The case of 400[Hz] the heat was little generated. The microcontroller ATmega128-based experimental results show that the proposed personal high frequency electrical stimulation devices can be applied to medical equipment using therapy effect successfully.

  • It is well known that the accurate calculation of the field distribution is essential for the design of electrical machines. The analytical techniques for electromagnetic field can quickly and exactly determine airgap magnetic field distribution in electrical machines. Many analytical techniques have been investigated to predict the magnetic field distribution in PM machines equipped with permanent magnets. Using the analytical technique by transfer relations, D. L. Trumper and K. R. Davey already presented the design and analysis of linear permanent-magnet machines and induction machines, respectively. Using the transfer relations (Melcher's general methodology) to describe electromagnetic phenomena, this paper deals with the analysis on the magnetic field distribution due to PM and winding current, the induced voltage and the static torque characteristics in surface-mounted slotless type permanent magnet machine. The validity of the analysis results is confirmed by finite element (FE) analysis.
