We address the problem of uncooperative person recognition through continuous monitoring. Multiple modalities, such as face, height, clothes color, and voice, can be used when attempting to recognize a person. In general, not all modalities are available for a given frame; furthermore, only some modalities will be useful as some frames in a video sequence are of a quality that is too low to be able to recognize a person. We propose a method that makes use of stochastic information updates of temporal modalities and environment estimators to improve person recognition performance. The environment estimators provide information on whether a given modality is reliable enough to be used in a particular instance; such indicators mean that we can easily identify and eliminate meaningless data, thus increasing the overall efficiency of the method. Our proposed method was tested using movie clips acquired under an unconstrained environment that included a wide variation of scale and rotation; illumination changes; uncontrolled distances from a camera to users (varying from 0.5 m to 5 m); and natural views of the human body with various types of noise. In this real and challenging scenario, our proposed method resulted in an outstanding performance.

Mobile communication is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and especially in Korea, where we have well over 30 million voice subscribers. Mobile communication now offers variety of data communication services such as wireless internet, multimedia messages, and color graphic displays. Handsets also have grown to accommodate such services, thus with functionalities such as programmable virtual machines that users can download and execute their own programs. In this paper, we have demonstrated a PCS handset monitoring system which can monitor biometry signals - in this case ECG over wireless internet and wireless data network (IS95C) based on programmable virtual machine architecture. The remote client handset receives data signals from a centralized server and processes and displays them in human friendly form in real time. Since every single handset on sales in Korea has programmable virtual machine and more than 10 million handsets are in distribution already, proper applications may have substantial impact on the related fields.

In this paper, we propose an efficient traffic light detection (TLD) method as an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) for elderly drivers. Since an increase in traffic accidents is associated with the aging population and an increase in elderly drivers causes a serious social problem, the provision of ADAS for older drivers via TLD is becoming a necessary(Ed: verify word choice: necessary?) public service. Therefore, we propose an economical TLD method that can be implemented with a simple black box (built in camera) and a smartphone in the near future. The system utilizes a color pre-processing method to differentiate between the stop and go signals. A mathematical morphology algorithm is used to further enhance the traffic light detection and a circular Hough transform is utilized to detect the traffic light correctly. From the simulation results of the computer vision and image processing based on a proposed algorithm on Matlab, we found that the proposed TLD method can detect the stop and go signals from the traffic lights not only in daytime, but also at night. In the future, it will be possible to reduce the traffic accident rate by recognizing the traffic signal and informing the elderly of how to drive by voice.

AI (인공지능)는 알렉사와 같은 지능형 가상 비서 (IVA)을 통해서 이미 우리의 삶에 침투했으며 디자인 작업에도 도입될 가능성이 높다. 본 연구에서는 AI를 활용하여 개발될 지능형 디자인 비서에 (intelligent design assistant) 대해서, 디자이너들이 어떠한 생각을 가지고 있는지 이해하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 브라질의 UX/UI 디자이너들에게 지능형 가상 비서와 AI 디자인 도구에 관한 설문 조사를 실시했으며, 추가로 알렉사와 (Alexa) 어도비 센세이를 (Adobe Sensei) 결합하여 음성 기반 AI 디자인 비서인 알렉사 센세이를 (Alexa Sensei) 가상의 시나리오로 만든 뒤, 이에 관한 설문도 함께 실시했다. 설문조사 결과, 브라질 디자이너들은 AI와 협업할 기회는 제한되어 있었으나 AI가 디자인 프로세스의 효율성을 개선해줄 것으로 기대한다는 사실을 알아냈다. 또한 응답자의 대다수는 AI 설계 시스템과 창의적으로 협력할 수 있을 것이라고 예측했다. 자연어를 통한 의사소통에는 한계가 있을 것으로 바라보았지만, 이미 지능형 가상 비서를 사용한 경험이 있는 디자이너들은 음성 기반 AI 디자인 비서에 대한 거부감이 낮다는 점도 함께 밝혀졌다.

문자메시지는 이동통신망에서 무선 데이터 서비스를 위해 가장 널리 사용되는 서비스이다. CDMA 이동통신망에서는 문자메시지 서비스는 한번에 50자의 한글을 전송 할 수 있다. 문자메시지 서비스가 일반화되고 MIDI, MP3 등의 멀티미디어 기능을 갖는 칼라 휴대폰이 보급됨에 따라 이동통신사업자는 멀티미디어 메시지를 문자메시지와 같이 P2P로 전송할 수 있는 NMS(Multimedia Massage Service)를 표준화하고 서비스하고 있다. MMS는 문자메시지와 같이 이동통신사업자의 비음성 서비스의 주요 매출 원으로 역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다. MMS가 활성화되면 MMS에 첨부되는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 저작권을 보호하기 위한 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 MMS 시스템의 변경을 최소화하면서 콘텐츠 저작권 보호를 위한 DRM이 적용된 MMS DRM 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 MMS DRM 시스템은 DRM Packager, DRM Server, DRM Agent를 통하여 MMS에 첨부된 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 보호하고 다양한 사업모델을 지원할 수 있도록 하여 MMS 활성화에 기여할 것이다.

본 연구에서는 감성공학적 분석방법론을 이용하여 운전자가 감성적인 측면에서 효과적으로 반응할 수 있는 교통안전 경고정보 제공방식 도출을 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 교통안전 경고정보는 운전자에게 전방의 위험요소를 미리 알려주어 사고회피를 위한 적절한 반응을 유도하는 역할을 하며 네비게이션과 같은 차내단말기를 통해 제공될 수 있다. 경고정보는 정보 제공방식들의 조합으로 구성되며 9개 시나리오를 설정하고 두 번의 설문조사를 시행하였다. 의미미분법, 상관분석, 수량화I류 이론을 이용한 감성공학I류 분석방법을 통해 연구를 진행하였으며, 성별차이에 따른 운전자 감성특성을 분석하였다. 분석결과 성별차이에 따라 각 정보의 제공방식에 대해 운전자가 느끼는 감성정도가 전체적으로 차이가 나는 것으로 분석되었다. 제공방식의 조합은 '청각적 요소: Beep음+음성안내', '메시지창: Text+픽토그램', '배경점멸: 빨간색 점멸'이 운전자의 감성정도와 선호도가 높게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 운전자의 감성특성을 고려한 효과적인 교통안전 경고정보 설계 및 제공을 위한 유용한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

Opera is the most comprehensive musical art. In recent years, contemporary opera worlds has seen a variety of attempts to reinterpret operas of the past in a modern light. This has resulted in a dramatic change in the production of musical style and stage art. The purpose of the study was to modernize and streamline opera costumes by extending the scope of existing stage costume design, through the reinterpretation and application of the decorative elements in the Middle Age of Rococo, such as ruffles, frills, shirring, embroidery, buttons, etc., in such a way as to effectively communicate the moods of an opera to a modern audience. The costumes of the Rococo period were reinterpreted in a modern way, with the following results. First, in this work, the male main character was played by a bass to express the image of an older, lazy, rich man. A key element in modernizing the stage costume was selection of the costume color in such a way as to visually represent the voice tones sung by the major characters in the opera. Second, the maid hat and aprons were decorated with frills by applying the curves of Rocaille decoration from the Rococo period symbolize the role of the maids. This represented the distinction between occupation according to class and status at that time, while also expressing the ideals of modern feminine beauty. This makes for more comfortably-worn costumes, and is economical for production expenses. In the future, the stage costume design for classical opera will need to be revised consideration of a modern viewpoint.

Correlational reasoning is used to analyze results from an experiment and create meaningful relationships among variables. Although there were many recognition development studies, not a single study found the optimal period for the development of logical thinking. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find the optimal period for students whose logic for variable controlling and correlational reasoning are poor. This study made a logic program treatment subject for students between the 4th and 8th grade whose recognition in reasoning has not been developed in general in order to find the optimal period for their development. The variable-controlling reasoning was performed the program of voice survey and sugared-water melting in subsection survey and sugared-water melting in subsection. And, the correlation reasoning was performed the program of rat's size and tail color, treatment, and effect. As a result of research, students, who were not formed variable controlling and correlational reasoning, could be known to be enhanced through learning, but to fail to be formed the qualitative change like the cognitive development. In other words, the optimal period couldn't be found that is grown the formation of students, who are not formed the variable controlling and correlational reasoning, through learning. It is expected that this research can contribute to the improvement of students' cognitive level and there would be more active researches in different fields to improve the cognitive level.

본 논문에서는 얼굴 영상 처리와 음성 신호처리를 적용하여 오미자차가 인체 장기에 효과가 있는 차인지 그리고 있다면 어느 장기에 효용이 있는지에 대한 분석 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 우선 영상처리를 통해 오미자차를 섭취하기 전과 후의 얼굴 영상에서 우측 뺨 영역의 색상 변화를 비교 분석하였다. 아울러 오미자차 효능에 대해 보다 많은 사실 확보를 위해 성대 진동 및 음성 에너지의 크기를 분석하는 음성분석 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 오미자차 섭취에 의해 폐의 기능이 원활해지면서 성대 진동 및 에너지 크기가 안정적으로 변했으며 오른쪽 뺨 부위의 b값이 증가하는 현상이 나타났다.

Following conclusions are drawn from study about Yukmigiwhangwon through referring to literatures and reviewing in the point of Hyungsang medicine. Yukmigiwhangwon was prescribed by Jeon Eul in order to cure five kinds of flaccidity of infants, but after since then it has been basically applied to symptoms which was caused by deficiency of the kidney not only infants but also adult. The deficiency of kidney is the lack of vital essence and body fluid stored in kidney, it happens because infants are born in the conditions of lack of receiving in the womb. And it happens because adults infringe the rules of life, especially the sexual life. Main symptoms of the poverty of renal functions are emptiness of the brain marrow, dizziness, forgetfulness, tinnitus, deafness, vertigo and dim eyesight, insomnia, the low back and knees aching and limping, heat on the legs, tibia aching, nocturnal emission, dry mouth, reddened tongue and little coating or non coating of the 'tongue, weak blood meridians. the treating method is nourishing Eum and supplementing kidney. In Dongeuibogam Yukmigiwhangwon is mentioned in the parts of vital essence, blood, voice, kidney, urine, eye, ear, the low back, hair, fire, exhaustion syndrome, cough, polydipsia, infant, etc. The shapes which Yukmigiwhangwon is applied to are the Dam Body Doing deficiency of Eum due to excess of Yang, man, infant, Jung type, Fish group, reverse triangular shape, big headed man, big eared man, big mouthed man, man having prominent cheekbones, man having long waist, man having big hips, man with thick hair or white hair, man with bald on the head, etc. In color it is applied to darkish complexion, flushed tip of the nose, or flushed cheek bones. Through inquiring into the clinical cases on the points of Hyungsang medicine Yukmigiwhangwon is efficacious cure to lumbago, symptoms of tendons and bones, symptoms of eyes and ears, symptoms of respiratory organs, dermatopathia, headache, polydipsia, urinary disorders, etc.
