한국형 사회적 정서 유발 시각 자극 개발 (Development of Korean Social Affective Visual Stimuli)

  • 목 적 : 본 연구의 목적은 한국인에게 적합한 사회적 정서를 유발하는 자극(한국형 사회적 정서 유발 시각 자극, Korean Social Affective Visual Stimuli, K-SAVS)을 개발하는 것이다. 방 법 : K-SAVS는 극동 아시아인이 등장하는 사회적 상황의 사진들로 구성되었다. 각 사진은 부정적 정서 자극, 긍정적 정서 자극, 혹은 중립 자극으로 구성하였다. 24명의 피험자에게 긍정적 자극과 부정적 자극을 보여주고 정서가 및 각성수준에 대한 자가 평가 마네킹 척도를 작성하게 한 후, 다른 24명의 피험자들에게 부정적 자극과 중립 자극을 보여주고 같은 척도를 작성하게 하였다. 결 과 : 1차 실험에서 95개의 자극 사진 중 긍정적 정서자극 사진 1개 세트, 부정적 정서 자극 사진 2개 세트를 선정하였다. 각 세트는 18개의 사진으로 이루어졌다. 긍정적 정서 자극은 부정적 정사 자극 사진에 비해 호감도는 높았으며 (p < 0.001) 흥분도는 낮았다(p < 0.001). 2차 실험에서는 1차 선정된 사진들과 중립 자극 사진을 포함하여 79개의 사진 중 중립 자극 사진 1개 세트를 선정하였다. 중립 자극은 호감도는 높았으며(p < 0.001) 흥분도는 낮았다(p < 0.001). 결 론 : K-SAVS는 한국인에게 특정한 사회적 정서를 유발하는데 유용하게 사용할 수 있는 시각 자극이라 할 수 있다.

시각 및 청각 정보가 소음의 인지도에 미치는 영향 (Auditory and Visual Information Effect on the Loudness of Noise)

  • The effects of the additional visual and auditory stimuli on the loudness evaluation of road traffic noise was investigated by the method of magnitude estimation. As a result, it was shown that additional visual stimulus of noise barrier can influence on the loudness perception of road traffic noise. Also, additional auditory stimuli such as green music or sound of flowing water can influence on the loudness perception of road traffic noise, approximately 5~10% lower than the absence of stimuli. But this effect was disappeared in the range of over 65dB(A).

美(미)醜(추) 콘텐츠 시청 시 발생하는 뇌파 신호 분석 (An Analysis of EEG Signal Generated from Watching Aesthetic and Non-aesthetic Content)

  • Much research has been conducted to judge aesthetic value for a single type of stimuli, but research to determine aesthetic value when two kinds of stimuli are presented at the same time is not explored in depth. In this paper, we measure the difference between the presentation of visual stimuli like general image and the presentation of signboard image including text stimuli using EEG. In the experiment, two oddball tasks were performed for general images and signboard images, and EEG changes according to the aesthetic value of the images were measured. As a result, the change of ERP in signboard image was larger than that of general image. We confirmed that more visual information was received and processed when two stimuli were presented at the same time.

시각자극의 모호함과 아이디어 교류의 유무에 따른 디자인 아이디어의 창의성 예측 (The Creativity Forecasting of Design Idea Sketches According to the Ambiguity of Visual Stimuli and Idea-Sharing Situations)

  • 제시되는 시각 자극의 모호함에 따라 디자인 아이디어의 창의성이 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보기 위해 시각자극의 모호함의 세 가지 수준 (Vague, Ambiguous, Definite) 과 아이디어 교류 유무(Idea sharing Before & After)의 두 가지 수준으로 아이디어 스케치들을 구분하여 의사결정나무분석법을 시행하였다. 그리고 이를 통해 각 그룹의 아이디어 스케치의 창의성 예측점수와 그 예측점수에 영향을 끼친 변인은 무엇인지 그리고 그 기준은 어떠한지 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 시각 자극의 모호함과 아이디어 교류의 유무에 따라 아이디어 스케치의 창의성 예측 점수가 높은 경우에 있어 중요한 영향을 미친 예측변수들은 종결저항, 독창성, 정교성, 추상성, 컨셉쌍 간의 유사도로 나타났다. 즉, 이 5가지 변수들은 유창성과 개념결합전략, 새 개념의 등장여부, 개인 창의력 지수, 창의적 문제해결성향보다 디자인 아이디어 스케치의 창의성에 더 연관이 있는 요인들임을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 아이디어 교류 후, Vague 자극을 제시 받은 집단이 창의성 예측값이 가장 높게 나타났고, 아이디어 교류 후, Definite 자극을 제시 받은 집단이 창의성 예측값이 가장 낮게 나타났다.

시각 자극 복원을 위한 비음수 행렬 분해 기반의 영상 기저 자동 추출 (Automatic Extraction of Image Bases Based on Non-Negative Matrix Factorization for Visual Stimuli Reconstruction)

  • 본 논문에서는 fMRI를 사용하여 뇌신경 반응을 측정한 후, 자극으로 주어진 $10{\times}10$ 크기의 이진 영상을 사전 정보 없이 복원하기 위해 비음수 행렬 분해를 이용한 자동화된 영상 기저 추출 방법을 제안한다. 영상 기저란 영상을 표현하는 기본 단위로, 기존 연구에서는 사전에 정의된 $1{\times}1$, $2{\times}1$, $1{\times}2$, $2{\times}2$의 크기를 갖는 총 361개의 영상 기저에 반응하는 뇌 신호를 분석하여 기저 영상으로 복원하고, 모든 기저에 대한 복원 결과를 선형 결합하여 최종복원 영상을 획득하였다. 사람이 사전에 정의한 영상 기저를 필요로 하는 기존 연구와는 달리, 본 연구에서는 비음수 행렬 분해를 기반으로 학습 데이터로 주어진 이진 영상을 가장 잘 표현하는 영상 기저를 자동 추출하였다. 자동으로 추출된 영상 기저를 사용하여 이진 영상을 복원한 결과, 기존 연구 방법보다 개선된 복원 정확도를 보였다.

시각과 청각 자극이 운동수행능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Visual and Auditory Stimulation on the Ability to Perform Exercise)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of visual and auditory stimulation on the ability to perform exercise. Methods: One hundred twenty subjects were randomly divided into four groups (Green light and Fast tempo music, GF; Green light and Slow tempo music, GS; Red light and Fast tempo music, RF; and Red light and Slow tempo music, RS). One of either two visual stimuli or one of two auditory stimuli were applied to each group. The experiment was conducted randomly twice in two environments: one had visual and auditory stimuli and one had no stimulation. Muscle strength, grip, endurance, quickness, agility, concentration, and balance were measured to determine the ability to perform exercise. Results: Significant differences were found in the muscle strength of the participants who were exposed to the auditory factor and the interaction of visual and auditory factors. In endurance, significant differences were found in all of the factors: visual, auditory, and the interaction of visual and auditory. In quickness, agility, and balance ability there were significant differences in the visual factor. In concentration, there was a significant difference in the auditory factor. Conclusion: Visual stimuli, auditory stimuli, and their interaction influenced the ability to perform exercise. These facts imply that providing the proper environmental stimulation is important to increase the ability to perform during exercise.

지각자의 성격특성이 의복의 시각적 평가에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Perceiver's Personality on Visual Evaluation of Clothing)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out differences of visual evaluation according to perceiver's personality(introvert-extrovert) and clothing styles. Subjects were 120 women in age from 18 to 31 years in Seoul. The stimuli of 7 clothing styles were used for visual evaluation. Three dimensions of visual evaluation were derived by falters analysis: elegance, activity individuality, and fashionability. The pants suit was estimated low in activity individuality and fashionability, but the hip-hop style high in activity individuality. The skirt suit was rated high in elegance, but the 8th length pants low in elegance. Personality had significant influences on the evaluation of activity individuality. Extrovert women perceived all stimuli to be more active and individual than introvert. Fashionability factor had an interaction effect by personality and clothing expenses. The introvert women in low clothing expenses group evaluated the stimuli to be more fashionable than the introvert in high clothing expenses group. There were significant differences in preference of all clothing styles according to personality. Extrovert women liked 8th length pants more than introvert. The introvert women in low clothing expenses group liked the skirt suit less than the extrovert.

유아의 감각양식간 전이 - 촉각에서 시각으로의 전이 - (Cross modal Transfer in Infancy : Transfer from Touch to Vision)

  • The purpose of the present research was to investigate cross-modal transfer, especially tactual-to-visual transfer in infancy and to study the relation between failure of cross-modal transfer performance and length of familiarization period. The subjects of this study were 60 infants, 10 boys and 10 girls at each level: six, nine, and twelve months of age. All were normal, healthy, full-term babies. The mothers' educational achievement was controlled at more than 12 years of schooling. There were two separate experimental conditions, one 30-sec and one 60-sec familiarization period. Each experimental condition consisted of a tactual familiarization and a visual recognition memory test. Each child was presented with these 2 sets of cross-modal stimuli in one of the 2 experimental conditions. Infants' visual responses in the visual recognition memory test were videotaped for 20 seconds. Visual fixation time to novel and familiar stimuli was observed throughout the test. The data was analyzed with t-test, percentage of total fixation time to novel stimuli, and ANOVA. The results showed that: 1) Significant differences were found in the cross-modal transfer performance from touch to vision between the 3 age groups. This is, 6 and 9 month old infants didn't show cross-modal transfer in the 30-sec condition, but 12 month old infants did show cross-modal transfer in the 30-second. 2) In all 3 age groups, no significant differences were found in cross-modal transfer performance between the two conditions.

시청각 복합자극에 대한 인감감성의 변화 (Effects of Multimodal Stimuli on Human Sensibility)

  • When consumer evaluates a product, every aspec of the product affects the evaluation. Human uses at least five sensory organs for the evaluation. Multi-sensory or multi-modal design tries to add auditory and olfactory factors to the traditional visual-centered design. For the multi-modal design, it is essential to understand relationships between combined sensory stimuli and human sensibility. Information between simple sensory stimulus and human sensibility is pre-requisite to combine multi-modal stimuli. This study investigated human sensibility against 8 colors and 30 sounds, presented independently. The combined stimuli of color and sound were made based on the sensibility generated by each stimulus. Human sensibility generated by the combined stimuli of color and sound were made based on the sensibility generated by each stimulus. Human sensibility generated by the combined stimuli was investigated with 20 female subjects. For combined stimuli that generated the same kind of sensibility respectively, generated sensibility was same but strength was diminished. For combined stimuli that generated the different sensibilities respectively, subjects showed neutral sensibility or no special sensibilities. Sensibilities to the same stimuli also showed difference depending on personal background of the subjects.
