The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of anterior, posterior, and lateral pelvic tilt exercise upon the gait characteristics of patients with hemiplegia including their gait velocity, cadence, stride length, step length of the non affected side, step length of the affected side, foot angle of the non affected side, foot angle of the affected side, base of support, and so on. The subject of this study was 24 men and women patients with hemiplegia. The patients, the subject of this study, were classified into 12 patients of treatment group applying pelvic tilt exercise using visual feedback and 12 patients of control group applying general pelvic tilt exercise, and then analyzed their gait before and after exercise. Temporal distance gait analysis (Boening, 1977) was used to analyze their gait, and ink foot-print was applied as on of measurement methods. To find out meaningful difference between control group and treatment group, this study carried out independent sample t-test for each item by utilizing SPSS/Win 10.0, compared changes in control group's and treatment group's gait characteristics before and after exercise as percentage, and applied paired t-test to conduct before-after test in same group. Statistical significance level was ${\alpha}$ < 0.05. The results of this study were as follows. As a result of independent sample t-test for control group's and treatment group's gait characteristics after exercise, it was not statistically significant so there was no meaningful difference between two groups. However, it was statistically significant in the change rate(%) of gait characteristics, and treatment group's patients with hemiplegia had been highly changed in gait characteristics in comparison with control group. From the above-mentioned results, could find that pelvic tilt exercise using visual feedback for patients with hemiplegia was effective to improve their gait ability and it could increase the ability in comparison with general pelvic tilt exercise. In the future, studies on the effect of pelvic tilt exercise using visual feedback shall be continued based on more quantitative methods.

This paper analyzed the visual range and arrangement of light buoy on navigation officers as the primary material to establish the standard of optimal arrangement of light buoy on the channel of the domestic trade-port. About $30{\sim}150$ questionnaires by port were distributed according to the scale of trade-ports and then Effective total 356 copies were used in analysis. The distance, $2{\sim}4$mile, occupied the highest percentage 55.0% as the visual range with naked eyes at the daytime in bright weather. At the arrangement way of light buoy the both sides buoy method showed high in the preference 62.1% among the respondents. The preferred interval between sequence buoys was averagely 1.09mile. Also, the preferred number of light buoy was two in the preference 40.6% among them to cognize without binoculars.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the degree of heterophoria variations according to visual fatigue induced by increasing number of examinations while repeating binocular vision examinations. Twenty - one adults in their twenties who had no heterotropia other eye disease or systemic disease underwent binocular vision examinations. As the examinations progressed, the degree of heterophoria increased in both orthophoria and heterophoria. When the distance examinations was repeated 5 times, orthophoria increased degree of $1.56{\Delta}$ heterophoria. and heterophoria increased degree of $1.63{\Delta}$ heterophoria. When the near examinations was repeated 5 times, orthophoria increased degree of $1.78{\Delta}$ heterophoria. and heterophoria increased degree of $2{\Delta}$ heterophoria.. As the number of examinations increased, the result gradually deviated from the normal range as visual fatigue increased. The degree of the variation is judged to be enough to make the wrong prescription in the clinic. In conclusion, it was found that the binocular vision examinations should be conducted more accurately and promptly.
This paper is about to implement a system for ground water safety evaluation. Since ground water quality is affected from the contamination source of surface water, one can estimate the magnitude of affection and the source themselves. This paper suggests a method to evaluate the spatial relationship of ground water and its contamination sources, using“contain”and“distance”operators in GIS. The research area is the Kunsan City in Chonbuk province, and are 75th wells those are located between the 4th alluvium land types. The results of measured chemical factors and results of related evaluation of these wells are stored and represented in ZEUS 2000 GIS DBMS, and an interface for searching and studying, is implemented by using ZEUS/SQLX, ZEUS/COM, and Visual Basic 6.0 programming languages. After this research, the spatial relationship between hydro-geological geo-objects and ground water is verified and a efficient evaluation system using GIS is suggested. It is the topic of further study that tries to calibrate the suggested evaluation model by applying it to wider area.
To investigate the visual acuity of the women middle and high school students, the visual acuity test was performed the object and subject methods. The results were as follows; 1. The eye types were 96.7% positive for myopia, 2.5% for emmetropia, and 0.8% for hyperopia, respectively. 2. The abnormal refraction eyes were 61% positive for simple myopia, 35.2% for myopitic compound astigmatism, 3% for myopic simple astigmatism, and 0.8% for simple presbyopia, respectively. 3. The asix of astigmatism were 95% positive for irregular astigmatism axis, 3% for regular astigmatism axis, and 2% for oblique astigmatism axis, respectively. 4. On the total myopic spheric power, the -0.50
Purpose: This study was to investigate the refractive state of an asian population (male: 39, female: 53) from 21 to 30 years old who visited the A optical shop at jongnogu in seoul. Methods: The visual acuity test was performed by the object and subject method. Results: Among the 184 eyes, myopia is 83.16% and emmetropia is 16.84%, respectively. As for the equivalent spheric power of myopic abnormal refractive eyes, the -m0.5Dt < spheric equivalent ${\leq}$ -2.00Dt was 40.53%, the -2.00Dt < spheric equivalent ${\leq}$ -6.00Dt was 51.63% and anything over the -6.00Dt was 7.85%. The percentages of with-the-rule, against-the-rule and oblique astigmatism among people with astigmatism were 46.67%, 35.56% and 7.77%, respectively. The average of pupillary distance in male (64.5${\pm}$2.9 mm) was greater than that in female (61.9${\pm}$2.3 mm). Conclusions: Korean opticians were provided some useful information about making up a prescription by this research.

The aim of this report is to describe improved symptom changes in eye movement disorders and dizziness of a patient with Miller Fisher syndrome after receiving combined Korean medicine treatment (CKMT). A 24-year-old male was diagnosed with MFS accompanied by eye movement disorder, diplopia, and dizziness. For 6 weeks, the patient received acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, herbal medicine, and physical therapy treatment. Visual analogue scale were checked and other outcomes (the range of eye movement, the distance that diplopia appears, diplopia questionnaire) were measured. Following CKMT, the movement of both eyes improved in both the horizontal and vertical direction. Also for diplopia and dizziness, there was a decrease in the visual analogue scale and the distance that diplopia appeared. The present case report suggests that CKMT may have a role in treating eye movement disorders and dizziness in patient diagnosed with MFS.
Purpose: Current gas-mask is very uncomfortable structure for spectacles wearer. Improving this problem can aid military men and firemen to protect themselves and rescue other person. Methods: we changed the structure from dual type of outward lens and inward lens into a single type structure. we attached acrylic frame to gas-mask instead of outward lens and protected the gas inflow by shutting the gab of lens and frame using silicon shield, and made the frame "S" style for removing astigmatism and maintaining of vertex distance. Results: It was possible to correct visual acuity and gas shield, and could changed the lens like a common spectacles. The new type of gas-mask spectacles could remove 0.53D~1.78D astigmatism occurred from the slant of eyesight and lens surface, 0.07D~0.66D overcorrection occurred from short vertex distance, and 0.1D~0.3D astigmatism occurred from pantoscopic angle. Conclusion: Because new type of gas-mask spectacles had clear visual field, it was expected to improve fighting power and rescue ability.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to investigate the instant effect of Kinesio taping on pain decrease and improvement of functional disorder of the subjects who have lumbar instability. Methods : A total of 20 patients (13 men and 7 women) who have lumbar instability were chosen as the subjects. The experiment was conducted by assigning the subjects into Kinesio taping group and placebo taping group. A visual analog scale (VAS) was used to measure back pain and Biering-Sorensen test was applied to measure the muscle endurance of back extensor muscles. A digital dynamometer was used to test the isomeric contraction strength of lumbar extensor muscle. The subject performed single-leg stance and double-leg stance task and their static balancing ability was measured by a testing device that captures the static balancing ability. Results : In a within-group comparison, Kinesio taping group showed a significant decrease of VAS (p<.05) and a significant increase of endurance and strength of lumbar extensor muscle (p<.05). In Kinesio taping group, the shift distance in anterior-posterior sway and medial-lateral sway during the double-leg stance significantly decrease (p<.05). The shift distance in anterior-posterior sway and medial-lateral sway also significantly decreased during the single-leg stance (p<.05). Placebo taping group showed a significant decrease of visual analog scale (p<.05). In a between-group comparison, Kinesio taping group showed a significantly larger decrease of VAS (p<.05), significant larger increase of muscle endurance and muscle strength (p<.05), and significant larger decrease of anterior-posterior sway in the double-leg stance (p<.05), compared to placebo taping group. Conclusion : Application of Kinesio taping to the subjects with lumbar instability produced positive effect of reducing pain, increasing muscle strength and endurance, and improving static balancing ability.
We theoretically derive the set of utilizable paraxial zoom locus equations for all complicated zoom lens systems with infinite object distance, such as a camera zoom lens, by using the Gaussian bracket method and the matrix representation of paraxial ray tracing. And we make the zoom locus program according to these equations in Visual Basic. Since we have applied the paraxial ray tracing equations into Gaussian bracket representation, the resultant program systematically simplifies various constraints of the zoom loci of various N group types. Consequently, the solutions of this method can be consistently used in all types of zoom lens in the step of initial design about zoom loci. Finally, in order to verify the usefulness of this method, we show that one example among 4 groups and that among 5 groups, which are very complex zoom lens systems, can be rapidly and with versatility traced through various interpolations by using this program.
