The current distribution structure in Korea film industry is in the multiplex chain. As a result, most small or medium-sized theaters have been excluded from the market, and all the multiplex chain have gradually been formed into the vertical integration structure. The strike by multiplex theaters in Chuncheon who did not screen for one month led to the problem of the vertical integration, which resulted in many effects. Particularly, it caused considerable effect on the cultural desire and instigated movie-goers to turn to illegal content. This study surveys the process in which Korean multiplex theaters in vertical integration structure took over the Korean film market, and consequently, small theaters collapsed, and the theaters in vertical integration structure kick out small theaters in horizontal integration structure, and conducts a survey on the effect of the one-month strike by Chuncheon CGV from September 27 to October 30, 2008 in Chuncheon where said processes had completed so as to determine the effect of and impact of the problem of the vertical integration, monopoly structure. When major consumers of the film industry, i.e., people in their 20s, see their access to newly released films limited due to closing of multiplex theaters, they feel the impulse to access illegal contents. If they miss viewing the newly released films, they prefer to view illegal contents or films on recording media rather than visiting theaters showing those films. They are also influenced by timing of film release. Specifically, methods of illegal access to newly released films, permanent accessibility to them via recording media, and timing of film release influence their viewing patterns.

Background: Visual and somatosensory integration processing is needed to reduce pusher behavior (PB) and improve postural control in hemiplegic patients with acute stroke. Objects: This study aimed to investigate the effects of game-based postural vertical training (GPVT) on PB, postural control, and activity daily living (ADL) in acute stroke patients. Methods: Fourteen participants with acute stroke (<2 months post-stroke) who had PB according to the Burke lateropulsion scale (BLS) (score>2) were randomly divided into the GPVT group ($n_1=7$) and conventional postural vertical training (CPVT) group ($n_2=7$). The GPVT group performed game-based postural vertical training using a whole-body tilt apparatus. while the CPVT group performed conventional postural vertical training to reduce PB (30 minutes/session, 2 times/day, 5 days/week for 3 consecutive weeks). The BLS was evaluated to assess the severity of PB. And each subject's postural control ability and ADL level were assessed using the postural assessment scale for stroke (PASS), balance posture ratio (BPR), and Korean-modified Barthel index (K-MBI). Outcomes were measured pre- and post-intervention. Results: Comparison of the pre- and post-intervention assessment results showed that both interventions led to the following significant changes: decreased severity of PB scores and increased PASS, BPR, and K-MBI scores (p<.05). In particular, statistical analysis between the two groups, the BLS score was significantly decreased in the GPVT group (p<.05). And PASS, BPR, and K-MBI scores were significantly improved in the GPVT group than in the CPVT group (p<.01, respectively). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that GPVT lessened PB severity and improved postural control ability and ADL levels in acute stroke patients.
The most critical aspect of full-arch prosthodontic treatment is evaluating whether the patient's vertical occlusal dimension is appropriate, and if necessary, restoring it through increasing vertical dimension. If the vertical occlusal dimension is too low, it can lead to reduced chewing efficiency, as well as not only aesthetic concerns but also potential issues like hyperactivity of muscles and posterior displacement of the mandible. This report is about the patient dissatisfied with pronunciation and aesthetics due to an inappropriate vertical occlusal dimension resulting from prior prosthetic interventions, underwent full-arch prosthodontic restoration treatment. Through the utilization of digital diagnostic apparatus, a comprehensive evaluation was undertaken for patient's vertical occlusal dimension, occlusal plane orientation, and the condition of prosthetic restorations. Through 3D facial scanning, the facial landmarks were discerned, and subsequently, the new occlusal plane was established. This provided the foundation for a digitally guided diagnostic wax-up. An elevation of 5 mm from the incisor was determined. Comprehensive dental rehabilitation was then executed for all remaining teeth, excluding the maxillary four incisors. The treatment protocol followed a systematic approach by initially creating implant-supported restorations on both sides of the dental arch to establish a stable occlusal contact. Subsequently, prosthetic restorations for the natural dentition were generated. Diagnostic and treatment planning were established through the utilization of facial scanning. This subsequently led to a reduction in treatment complexity and an expedited treatment timeline.
This paper presents the optimal design of flyback transformer with the flat copper winding method of injection type suitable for the small-size and winding method of automatic type used in 90W DC to DC converter for LED-TV. This paper also proposes the flyback transformer with the flat copper winding method of injection type capable of the winding method of automatic type and the reduction of transformer size and enhanced uniformity in electrical characteristics compared to the conventional mass-production flyback transformer with the winding method of manual type. In particular, the flat copper winding transformer of injection type proposed in this paper is constructed in a vertical winding method of its transformer to realize the winding method of automatic type. The primary and secondary windings of flyback transformer with the flat copper winding method of injection type used the conventional winding, triple insulated winding and the flat copper winding method of injection type, respectively. The optimal design of flyback transformer with the flat copper winding transformer of injection type proposed in this paper suitable for small-size and winding method of automatic type was carried out based on the simulation results using Maxwell 2D and 3D tool.
The purpose of this study is to analyze how the vertical integration, which is the main characteristic of the domestic digital music market, appears in each period and how these phenomena affect the digital music market. As a result, we could find out that the domestic digital music market is a vertically integrated market centered on ISPs. There were a variety of subjects that led the digital music market from the early digital music in 2000s to the latest streaming market. However, ISP was the only subject that vertically integrated all aspects of content, distribution, and consumption through its subsidiaries and affiliated companies. A variety of combined services, supplementary services, and fare plans provided by using its platform and network have become mainstream services in the domestic digital market and have fixed the current transaction type in domestic market.
Open decks are a widely used deck configuration in long-span cable-stayed bridges; however, incorporating aerodynamic countermeasures are advisable to achieve better aerodynamic performance than a bluff body deck alone. A sectional model of an open deck cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 400 m was selected to conduct a series of wind tunnel tests. The influences of five practical aerodynamic countermeasures on flutter and vortex-induced vibration (VIV) performance were investigated and are presented in this paper. The results show that an aerodynamic shape selection procedure can be used to evaluate the flutter stability of decks with respect to different terrain types and structural parameters. In addition, the VIV performance of $\prod$-shaped girders for driving comfortableness and safety requirements were evaluated. Among these aerodynamic countermeasures, apron boards and wind fairings can improve the aerodynamic performance to some extent, while horizontal guide plates with 5% of the total deck width show a significant influence on the flutter stability and VIV. A wind fairing with an angle of $55^{\circ}C$ showed the best overall control effect but led to more lock-in regions of VIV. The combination of vertical stabilisers and airflow-depressing boards was found to be superior to other countermeasures and effectively boosted aerodynamic performance; specifically, vertical stabilisers significantly contribute to improving flutter stability and suppressing vertical VIV, while airflow-depressing boards are helpful in reducing torsional VIV.
The synoptic, thermodynamic, and dynamic characteristics of a snowfall event that occurred in the Yeongdong region on March 1-2, 2021, were investigated. Surface weather charts, ERA5 reanalysis data, rawinsonde data, GK-2A satellite data, and WISSDOM data were used for analysis. The snow depth, exceeding 10 cm, was observed at four weather stations during the analysis period. The maximum snow depth (37.4 cm) occurred at Bukgangneung. According to the analysis of the weather charts, old and dry air was trapped within relatively warm, humid air in the upper atmosphere over the East Sea and adjacent Yeongdong region. This caused unstable atmospheric conditions that led to developing convective clouds and snowfall over Bukgangneung. In particular, based on the thermodynamic and kinematic vertical analysis, we suggest that strong winds attributable to the vertical gradient of potential temperature in the low layer and the development of convective instability due to cold advection played a significant role in the occurrence of snowfall in the Yeongdong region. These results were confirmed from the vertical analysis of the rawinsonde data.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of peak kilovoltage (kVp) and a metal artifact reduction (MAR) tool on image quality and the diagnosis of vertical root fracture (VRF) in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and Methods: Twenty single-rooted human teeth filled with an intracanal metal post were divided into 2 groups: control (n = 10) and VRF (n = 10). Each tooth was placed into the socket of a dry mandible, and CBCT scans were acquired using a Picasso Trio varying the kVp (70, 80, 90, or 99), and the use of MAR (with or without). The examinations were assessed by 5 examiners for the diagnosis of VRF using a 5-point scale. A subjective evaluation of the expression of artifacts was done by comparing random axial images of the studied protocols. The results of the diagnoses were analyzed using 2-way analysis of variance and the Tukey post hoc test, the subjective evaluations were compared using the Friedman test, and intra-examiner reproducibility was evaluated using the weighted kappa test (α = 5%). Results: The kVp and MAR did not influence the diagnosis of VRF (p > 0.05). According to the subjective classification, the 99 kVp protocol with MAR demonstrated the least expression of artifacts, while the 70 kVp protocol without MAR led to the most artifacts. Conclusions: Protocols with higher kVp combined with MAR improved the image quality of CBCT examinations. However, those factors did not lead to an improvement in the diagnosis of VRF.

Although fire incidents occur frequently in factory buildings, the focus has primarily been on property damage rather than human casualties. In this study, we conducted an analysis of RSET(Required Safe Egress Time) variation by examining the relocation of workbenchs using evacuation simulations. The results demonstrated that a simple change in workbench placement led to different RSET and variations in the feasibility of evacuation. Specifically, arranging workbenchs in a vertical configuration reduced travel time for workers and minimized total evacuation time. The hybrid layout of "vertical-horizontal" exhibited the shortest RSET, while the "horizontal-vertical" configuration resulted in the longest RSET. These research findings are significant as they provide practical alternatives to decrease RSET in small-scale factories where additional investments beyond essential safety equipment may pose challenges due to budget constraints. However, it is important to note that this study solely focused on comparing RSET while controlling for all other factors, without considering real-life fire simulations. Therefore, further research is necessary to integrate fire simulations and conduct comprehensive assessments of evacuation safety.

InGaN/GaN multiple quantum wells (MQWs) have been attracted much attention as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in the visible and UV regions. Particularly, quantum efficiency of green LEDs is decreased dramatically as approaching to the green wavelength (~500 nm). This low efficiency has been explained by quantum confined Stark effect (QCSE) induced by piezoelectric field caused from a large lattice mismatch between InGaN and GaN. To improve the quantum efficiency of green LED, several ways including epitaxial lateral overgrowth that reduces differences of lattice constant between GaN and sapphire substrates, and non-polar method that uses non- or semi-polar substrates to reduce QCSE were proposed. In this study, graded short-period InGaN/GaN superlattice (GSL) was grown below the 5-period InGaN/GaN MQWs. InGaN/GaN MQWs were grown on the patterned sapphire substrates by vertical-metal-organic chemical-vapor deposition system. Five-period InGaN/GaN MQWs without GSL structure (C-LED) were also grown to compare with an InGaN/GaN GSL sample. The luminescence properties of green InGaN/GaN LEDs have been investigated by using photoluminescence (PL) and time-resolved PL (TRPL) measurements. The PL intensities of the GSL sample measured at 10 and 300 K increase about 1.2 and 2 times, respectively, compared to those of the C-LED sample. Furthermore, the PL decay of the GSL sample measured at 10 and 300 K becomes faster and slower than that of the C-LED sample, respectively. By inserting the GSL structures, the difference of lattice constant between GaN and sapphire substrates is reduced, resulting that the overlap between electron and hole wave functions is increased due to the reduced piezoelectric field and the reduction in dislocation density. As a results, the GSL sample exhibits the increased PL intensity and faster PL decay compared with those for the C-LED sample. These PL and TRPL results indicate that the green emission of InGaN/GaN LEDs can be improved by inserting the GSL structures.
