주장의 개념 분석 (A Concept Analysis of Assertiveness)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze and clarify the meaning of the concept, assertiveness. Method: This study used Walker and Avant's process of concept analysis. Results: 1. Attributes of assertiveness were defined as 1) Self-esteem 2) Comprehension to others 3) Clarification of the subject 4) Verbal communication 5) Non-verbal communication 2. The antecedents of assertiveness consist of these facts 1) The occurrence of a conflict situation 2) The occurrence of will to stick to one's opinions 3. There are consequences occuring as a result of assertiveness 1) Positive self-confidence 2) Increased comprehension or consideration to others 3) Expand of mutual respect 4) Maintenance of continuously cooperative relationship with each other 5) Output of acceptable results to each other Conclusion: Assertiveness is a core human behavior and is key to interpersonal relationships. Using the components of the concept of assertiveness, many conflicts in a nursing situation can be effectively prevented.

로즈마리 아로마요법이 기억력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Rosemary Aromatherapy on Memory)

  • Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the effect of aromatherapy using rosemary on memory for college students. Methods : This study used equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this experiment consisted of thirty college students. Fifteen college students were in the experimental and control group each. As a treatment, intervention using rosemary aromatic candles was applied. Data was analyzed by SPSS Program. Results : List learning and verbal span were significantly improve in the experimental group (P=0.013, P=0.017, respectively). There was no significant difference between the two groups in others. Conclusion : These findings indicate that aromatherapy using rosemary could be effective in improving list learning and verbal span.

그룹시간에 있어서의 한국 유치원 교사들의 질문양식과 유치원 아동들의 반응양식에 관한 연구 (Korean Kindergarten Teachers' Verbal Questions and Children's Verbal Responses during Group Time)

  • 본 연구는 그룹시간 동안의 한국 유치원 교사들의 질문양식과 유치원 아동들의 반응양식을 조사한 것이다. 본 연구를 위해서 12명의 유치원 교사와 중산층 가정에서 온 아동들이 12집단(남아 : 211명, 여아 : 176명) 참가했다. 비디오를 통해서 12명의 교사들의 질문양식과 각 집단의 아동들의 반응양식이 각각 3번씩 그룹시간의 처음 15분 동안 녹음되었다. 본 연구의 측정도구로서는 Aschner-Gallagher의 분류법이 사용되었고 통계분석방법은 Chi-square tests가 사용되었다. 또 교사들과 아동들의 연령 및 정보 등을 조사하기 위해서 교사들에게 질문지가 주어졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 교사들 사이에서 사용된 질문의 수준은 차이가 있었다는 것을 보여 주었다. (1) 교사들의 Congnitive Memory 질문을 가장 많이 사용했고 Evaluative 질문을 가장 적게 사용했다. (2) Congnitive Memory 질문을 가장 많이 사용한 교사들이 있는 반면에 Routine 질문을 가장 많이 사용한 교사들이 있었다. (3) Convergent 질문을 많이 사용한 교사들과 거의 사용하지 않은 교사들이 있었다. (4) Evaluative 질문 또는 Divergent 질문을 전혀 사용하지 않은 교사들이 있었다.

사회계층에 따른 부부의 권력과 폭력과의 관계 (Relations between Conjugal Power and Violence according to Social Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of conjugal power type and conjugal violence level according to social class. This study was also intended to examine the relations between conjugal power type and conjugal violence level. The subjects of this study were 492 high school students in Seoul. Conjugal power was measured with used to measure the conjugal violence level. For the statistical analysis of data, x2-test, Pearson's r, F-test, Duncan's Multiple Range Test and Cronbach's α for reliability were performed. The major results of this study were summarized as follows; 1. There were significant differences according to social class in conjugal power type: The higher social class of the family, the more Syncratic Type were found. And the lower social class of the family, the more Wife Dominant Type were found. 2. There were significant differences according to social class in conjugla violence level: Couples of the lowest class appeared to be more verbal aggression and physical violence. 3. The most severe Husband-to-Wife verbal aggression and physical violence were appeared when the conjugal power type is either Husband Dominant Type or Wife Dominant Type.

아동이 평가한 부모의 정서적 아동학대에 관한 예비연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Emotional Child Abuse Reported by the Children)

  • The purposes of this study are to find out the recent trends of child abuse which is reported by children, and to investigate the relations between emotional and verbal child abuse and socio-psycological variables. The subjects were 196 children in a public elementary school in Seoul (5th grade). They completed an anonymous questionnaire. The major findings are as follows: 1. Most of the children in the survey reported that their parents didn't abuse them. But there were significant differences in the frequency of child abuse with their mother and father. 2. Emotional and verbal child abuse differed significantly by the level of socioeconomic status, child's personality, parent's personality, marital dispute. But child abuse was not related to the sex of children.

고부관계에서 발생한 노인학대에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Elder Abuse in Relationships between Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the extent and the type of elder abuse and to examine the overall influence of abuse on abused. A sample of 117 mothers-in-law who lived together their daughters-in-law was used and 7 mothers-in-law among them were interviewed in depth. The major findings were as follows ; 1) the type of elder abuse between dyad which mother-in-law experienced was psychological abuse, verbal aggression and physical abuse. 2) Pychological abuse was the abuse which all elderly women experienced and verbal aggressin was the abuse which most elderly women experienced, but physical abuse was te special event which a few elderly women experienced. 3) The influence of abuse on abused and the extent of elder abuse varied with the type of their experience.

부모의 언어통제유형이 유아의 거짓말 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Parent's Verbal Control Types on Young Children's Lying Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of the Parent's control based on young children's habit of lying. This study was carried out through experimental observations. For the purpose of this study a total of 798 participants were selected from 5 kindergartens located in Seoul, Gyeong-gi and Incheon. The results of the study showed that rather than parents being excessively strict towards their children and commanding discipline, the child rearing attitude of rational and logical explanation along with discretionary power given to young children of their own rules. This can allow young children to morally decide and behave themselves. Moreover, moral education that is suited for the young children's development in order to internally learn about the moral behaviors on their own is needed.

An Approach to Study on Mathematical Creativity and Some of its Correlates

  • Mathematical creativity is the most important factor for the advancement of mathematics. Only creative mind can produce creative results. But not much research work has been done in this direction. The present author has taken a scheme of developing a mathematical creativity test to identify creative children in mathematics and to find the relationships of psychoticism, neuroticism, intelligence, ability to achieve in mathematics and general creativity with mathematical creativity and their composite effect on it over a population of Bengali medium school students. In this approach, Bengali adaptation of English version of the "Verbal Test of Creative Thinking" by Mehdi [Mehdi, B. (1985). Manual of verbal test of creative thinking (revised edition). Agra, India: National Psychological Corporation.] has been completed. Works of adapting intelligence test, developing mathematical creativity test, adapting personality test in Bengali are in process. Relationships are to be found later.

아동 실어증 환아 증례 보고 (A Case Report of Child Aphasia)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report a case showed some clinical improvement in treating child aphasia with oriental medicine. Methods : The patient had some problems in communication, intelligence and behaviors due to aphasia after brain injury caused by epilepsy. We treated the patient with herbal medicine(Yangsintangkamibang), acupuncture, verbal remediation and intelligence-learning treatment. We observed the clinical progress of aphasia and evaluated the case with PRES. Results : Oriental medical treatment alleviated patient's symptoms of aphasia and PRES was also improved. Conclusions : This study shows oriental medicine can be a meaningful treatment for child aphasia, and more studies for oriental medical treatment for child aphasia is needed.

영유아 양육환경에 대한 생태학적 연구 (1) - 가정과 어린이집을 중심으로 - (An Ecological Analysis of Early Child Care Arrangements (1))

  • The home environments, daily activities, caregiving behaviors of mothers and teachers, infant's verbal behaviors, attachment to mothers and teachers of day care infants were compared to those of home-reared infants. 30 two-year-old home-reared infants and their mothers were observed at home by the time sampling method and 31 two-year-old day care infants and their mothers and teachers were observed at home or at the center. The HOME scale, the behavioral checking lists for caregiving behaviors and for the infants' verbal behaviors, and the Attachment Q-set were used for the home and center observations. It was found that the characteristics of early environments of day care infants were different from those of home-reared infants, but that infants' attachment to the mothers were not different. However, day care infants' attachment security scores to their mothers were higher than to their teachers.
