  • The purpose of this study was to investigate consumers' perceptions of sodium saccharin in social media. Data was collected from Naver blogs and Naver web communities (Korean representative portal web-site), and media reports including comment sections on a Yonhap news website (Korean largest news agency). The results from Naver blogs and Naver web communities showed that it was primarily mentioned 'sodium saccharin-no added' products, properties of sodium saccharin, and methods of reducing sodium saccharin in food. When media reported the expansion of food categories permitted to use sodium saccharin, search volume for sodium saccharin has increased in both PC and mobile search engines. Also, it was mainly commented about distrust of government, criticism of food product price, and distrust of food companies below the news on the news site. The label of sodium saccharin-no added products in market emphasized "no added-sodium saccharin". These results suggest that consumers are interested in sodium saccharin and especially when media reported the expansion of food categories permitted to use it. Consumers were able to search various information on sodium saccharin except safety or acceptable daily intake through social media. Therefore media or competent authority should report item on sodium saccharin with information including safety or acceptable daily intake based on scientific background and reference or experts' interview for consumers to get reliable information.

  • Purpose - Six months have passed since the amendment of the SSM regulation law; however, as yet, there is no confirmed research or report on the effects of this amendment, which are indefinite. Further, there have been no attempts to study the effects of the SSM regulation law from the consumers' viewpoint, which is important because consumers are the main agents that are greatly influenced by the amendment law. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the consumers' attitude toward the SSM regulation law as well as the effects of the SSM regulation law on the changes in purchase behavior. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was initiated from four research problems that are linked to consumer reaction to the SSM regulation law. Research problem 1: What is the consumers' reaction (perception, attitude, and perceived fairness) to the SSM regulation law? Research problem 2: How do the consumers' reactions to the SSM regulation law differ by consumers' characteristics? Research problem 3: Could the SSM regulation law change a consumer's purchase behavior? Research problem 4: Is it necessary to amend the SSM regulation law? This study collected the data through the interview and survey of housewives for the purpose of solving the research problems. The interview was conducted as a pilot study for the field survey. We interviewed three housewives, who were: an employed housewife, a full-time homemaker, and a manager of a housewife club, respectively. We then conducted a field survey of 232 housewives who were housewife club members or elementary school parents in Chunghcheong-do. Results - We verified the reliability and validity of the data, and analyzed it to solve the research problems. The main findings of this study were as follows. First, consumers still have a positive attitude toward large discount chains and SSM, which has been the case since the law was introduced. Second, perceived risk of consumers associated with traditional markets and small neighborhood shops was low. Third, consumers think that amendments of the SSM regulation law are important, and they positively assess the satisfaction, necessity, and propriety of the law. Fourth, although the SSM regulation law caused inconvenience to consumers, this law did not have any influence on the usage frequency and the use-behavior of large discount chains. Finally, consumers reacted very negatively to the toughening up of the SSM regulation law. Conclusions - In short, consumers still have a positive attitude toward the SSM regulation law. However, this act did not have any influence on the use-behavior of large discount chains (General Super Market). Thus, policy making authorities require active communication and promotions to enhance the effect of the SSM regulation law. This study was of the nature of exploratory research, which did not focus on hypothesis testing, but on finding solutions to the research problems. Therefore, this study is no more than a simple data analysis. Future studies should attempt to investigate the actual effects of the SSM regulation law, on the basis of sufficient literature review and real sales data.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of the mobility convenience facilities for pedestrians and their perception of the facilities, and thereby provide fundamental material necessary to establish a strategy of improving mobility convenience facilities. This study tried to analyze the characteristics of the mobility convenience facilities for pedestrians. Based on previous studies and "Report of Mobility Facilities of the Mobility Handicapped", this study first chose the evaluation items related to mobility convenience facilities, and then conducted a questionnaire survey and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). According to the study results, first, the item that needs intensive improvement was sidewalks, and the detailed indicators for sidewalks were walking safety, convenient facilities for the disabled, and pavement in order. Secondly, the items that need to be maintained were bus and crossroad. Thirdly, the low-ranking items were under-passageway and pedestrian overpass. And lastly, the items that need to be controlled were facilities for passenger terminals and bus terminals. Based on the comprehensive IPA result, this researcher judged the actual use conditions of the mobility convenience facilities in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnamdo. Therefore, it was found that it would be urgent to improve the direct walking environment on sidewalks. In this aspect, for future policy decision and facility maintenance, it is desirable to put the item in priority in terms of investment and come up with an improvement strategy.

  • This study reports a field study that examined the citizens' needs and perceptions of library services at a municipal public library system of Mapo-gu, in an attempt to develop a comprehensive service plan that can satisfy the diverse public needs in the changing social environment. We administered a self-reported questionnaire to 800 library users and 300 non-users in the area to examine their reading habits, library use, and perceptions of library services and programs. As a result of the analysis, 53.7% of Mapo-gu residents used one or two libraries among all 16 municipal libraries, and the primary criterion for selecting the main library was accessibility(63.9%). And only 53.8% of library users had experience participating in the library programs. The respondents also showed strong perception that the library is an essential place for the community and the children. Study results indicate that the library system should further expand the collection size, diversify information contents, improve the physical space including library facilities, and build more libraries. In order to fulfill the role of public libraries as the central place of the community, the municipal city should further invest in enhancing accessibility, spatial innovation, and diversifying service contents and media.

  • We are at the onset of a major revolution in education, a revolution unparalleled since the invention of the printing press. The computer will be the instrument of this revolution. Computers and computer application are everywhere these days. Everyone can't avoid the influence of the computer in today's world. The computer is no longer a magical, unfamiliar tool that is used only by researchers or scholars or scientists. The computer helps us do our jobs and even routine tasks more effectively and efficiently. More importantly, it gives us power never before available to solve complex problems. Mathematics instruction in secondary schools is frequently perceived to be more a amendable to the use of computers than are other areas of the school curriculum. This is based on the perception of mathematics as a subject with clearly defined objectives and outcomes that can be reliably measured by devices readily at hand or easily constructed by teachers or researchers. Because of this reason, the first large-scale computerized curriculum projects were in mathematics, and the first educational computer games were mathematics games. And now, the entire mathematics curriculum appears to be the first of the traditional school curriculum areas to be undergoing substantial trasformation because of computers. Recently, many research-Institutes of our country are going to study on computers in orders to use it in mathematics education, but the study is still start ing-step. In order to keep abreast of this trend necessity, and to enhance mathematics teaching/learning which is instructed lecture-based teaching/learning at the present time, this study aims to develop/present practical method of computer-using. This is devided into three methods. 1. Programming teaching/learning method This part is presented the following five types which can teach/learn the mathematical concepts and principle through concise program. (Type 1) Complete a program. (Type 2) Know the given program's content and predict the output. (Type 3) Write a program of the given flow-chart and solve the problem. (Type 4) Make an inference from an error message, find errors and correct them. (Type 5) Investigate complex mathematical fact through program and annotate a program. 2. Problem-solving teaching/learning method solving This part is illustrated how a computer can be used as a tool to help students solve realistic mathematical problems while simultaneously reinforcing their understanding of problem-solving processes. Here, four different problems are presented. For each problem, a four-stage problem-solving model of polya is given: Problem statement, Problem analysis, Computer program, and Looking back/Looking ahead. 3. CAI program teaching/learning method This part is developed/presented courseware of sine theorem section (Mathematics I for high school) in order to avail individualized learning or interactive learning with teacher. • The purpose of this study is to analyze the health information use experience of middle-aged people in their 40s and 50s and to observe and analyze their health information search behaviors according to health consciousness and health information orientation. This study uses Information Foraging Theory with the concept of information scents which leads users to detect and collect cues in information searching. Types and contents of information cues that middle-aged people use when searching for health information were investigated. Also, how their health consciousness and health information orientation affected using information cues were analyzed. Three methods of research were used; (1) pre-interviews, (2) search experiments, and (3) post-interviews. Thirty-two middle-aged people participated in the study. Their performance on health information searching was recorded and referred to in the post-interviews using a think-aloud protocol. Findings presented that middle-aged people's health consciousness and health information orientation affected the perception of information scents in health information search; those with high health consciousness and health information orientation consider the text made by the government office the most critical information cues. We believe findings from this study could be used for public libraries or non-profit institutions to understand middle-aged people's health information behaviors to design education programs for information retrieval considering users' health consciousness and health information orientation. Findings could also contribute to Internet portal site or health-related web site designers developing strategies for middle-aged users to access health information effectively.

  • The aim of this study was to investigate whether the schools and local governments were aware of the creation and operation of school forests. A survey was conducted of 45 teachers of schools selected as having the best practices in the school forest and 153 local government officials within the district where the school forests were built. The school teachers attributed the necessity to create school forests to the importance of beautifying the environment. The results showed that the area in which the school forest was created, the school environment after the school forest was created, and use of the school forest were generally satisfactory, but maintenance of the school forest was not somewhat unsatisfactory. Additionally, the results indicated that continuous maintenance was necessary for the effective use of the school forest, and there was a great need for professional personnel to conduct the maintenance program. Furthermore, local government officials recognized that beautification of the school environment was the best effect of creating the school forests. They also realized a great need for local government's support of a maintenance program and its cooperation with related ministries and agencies to create and operate the school forest. Thus, it is crucial to devise measures for maintenance and to establish a system by which schools and local governments can work closely to promote the creation and operation of these school forests.

  • Globally, cloud service is a core infrastructure that improves industrial productivity and accelerates innovation through convergence and integration with various industries, and it is expected to continuously expand the market size and spread to all industries. In particular, due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, the introduction of cloud services was an opportunity to be recognized as a core infrastructure to cope with the untact era. However, it is still at the preliminary stage for market expansion of cloud service in Korea. This paper aims to empirically analyze how cloud services can be accepted by users by each industry through extended Technology Acceptance Model(TAM), and what factors influence the acceptance and avoidance of cloud services to users. For this purpose, the impact and factors on the acceptance intention of cloud services were analyzed through the hypothesis test through the proposed extended technology acceptance model. The industrial sector selected four industrial sectors of education, finance, manufacturing and health care and derived factors by examining the parameters of TAM, key characteristics of the cloud and other factors. As a result of the empirical analysis, differences were found in the factors that influence the intention to accept cloud services for each of the four industry sectors, which means that there is a difference in perception of the introduction or use of cloud services by industry sector. Eventually it is expected that this study will not only help to understand the intention of using cloud services by industry, but also help cloud service providers expand and provide cloud services to each industry.

  • As the use of recommended agents has become more active, the "Explain Facilities" is drawing attention as a way to solve the black-box problem that could not explain internal logic to users. This study wants to look at how the description Method and Detail affects to user experience. The Explanation method was divided into 'why the agent did a particular action' and 'why not do a particular action' and the detail condition were divided into 'high or low'. Studies have found that 'why method' have a positive effect on users' transparency, trust, satisfaction, and behavioral intention to use, and 'high detail condition' higher the user' Psychological reactance. In addition, it was found that the explanation methods and detail influenced the 'Explanation' perception through interaction and tended to affect satisfaction and intention to adopt recommendation. This study suggested that careful attention is needed to determine the method and detail of the Explanation facilities in the context of the recommended agent, based on the research findings that it affects the user experience through the interaction of the method and detail.
