Robust fault detection method for uncertain multivariable systems (불확실성을 갖는 다변수 시스템의 이상검출기법)

  • This paper deals with the fault detection problem in uncertain linear multivariable systems having both model mismatch and noise. A robust detection presented by Kwon et al.(1994) for SISO systems has been here extended to the multivariable systems are derived. The model mismatch includes here linearization error as well as undermodelling. Comparisons are made with alternative fault detection method which do not account noise. The new method is shown to have good performance.

  • An adaptive control scheme is presented for uncertain systems whose uncertaintiy bounds are expressed as a linear combination of unknown functions of special form. Both the states and the parameter estimate errors of the closed-loop system are proven to be bounded. The regulation errors can be made sufficiently small by adjusting the design parameters. An application of the proposed method to the position control of a simple pendulum is given.

  • This paper presents the design of simple robust controller for a class of uncertain multivariable systems. We introduce switching dynamics instead of switching logics unlike variable structure control scheme. Also, we can construct the continuous control law from this switching dynamics and consequently remove the chattering motion. The dynamic equations of the range-space of a switching surface matrix C and uniform ultimate boundedness in the presence of parameter uncertainties are described mathematically.

  • In this paper, the problem of stability analysis for networked control systems with norm-bounded parameter uncertainties is investigated. By construction Lyapunov's functional, a new delay-dependent stability criterion for uncertain networked control system is established in terms of LMIs (linear matrix inequalities) which can be easily by various convex optimization algorithms. One numerical example is included to show the effectiveness of proposed criterion.

  • This paper investigates the control problem which is specified by an uncertain linear system and a linear quadratic performance index. Only the size of parameter uncertainty is assumed to be given instead of its statistics. In addition, a mathing condition which constrains the system structure is assumed to be satisfied. The control law can be obtained by solving an LQ optimal control problem for a nominal system.

  • This paper presents the new VSMFC (variable structure model following control) algorithm of a system with parameter uncertainty. In contrast to the conventional approach, continuous control inputs am used instead of discontinous ones and modified reachability condition for sliding mode reduces a reaching phase and a newly proposed sliding surfaces are used for the robust control of uncertain system.

  • In general a hydraulic system which uses a single rod hydraulic as an actuator is modeled as a nonlinear system and reveals uncertain Parameter characteristics such as the density variation of hydraulic oil and is subject to load variations and severe disturbances during operation. A variable design-parameter fuzzy PID controller is adopted to solve these undesirable internal and external problems and its effectiveness is verified through computer simulations for control performance and real time control possibility.

  • This paper is concerned with the reliable $H_{\infty}$ controller design problem for uncertain linear systems against actuator failures. In the design, the $H_{\infty}$ performance of the closed-loop system is optimized during normal operation(without failures) while the system satisfies a prescribed $H_{\infty}$ performance level in the case of actuator failures. Single and parameter-dependent Lyapunov function approaches are applied in designing suboptimal reliable $H_{\infty}$ controllers. Simulation studies are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design procedures.

  • In this paper, we deal with the problem of designing guaranteed cost state feedback controller for the generalized time-varying delay systems with delayed state and control input. The generalized time delay system problems solved on the basis of LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique considering time-varying delays. The sufficient condition for the existence of controller and guaranteed cost state feedback controller design methods are presented. Also, using some changes of variables and Schur complements, the obtained sufficient condition can be reformulated as LMI forms in terms of transformed variables. Therefore, all solutions of LMIs, guaranteed cost controller gain, and guaranteed cost are obtained at the same time. The proposed controller design method can be extended into the problem of robust guaranteed cost controller design method for parameter uncertain systems with time-varying delays easily.
