The dynamic characteristics of a system can be critically influenced by system uncertainty, so the dynamic system must be analyzed stochastically in consideration of system uncertainty. This study presents the stochastic model of a nonlinear dynamic system with uncertain parameters under nonstationary stochastic inputs. And this stochastic system is analyzed by a new stochastic process closure method and moment equation method. The first moment equation is numerically evaluated by Runge-Kutta method and the second moment equation is numerically evaluated by stochastic process closure method, 4th cumulant neglect closure method and Runge-Kutta method. But the first and the second moment equations are coupled each other, so this equations are approximately evaluated by a iterative method. Finally the accuracy of the present method is verified by Monte Carlo simulation.

This paper propose the systematic procedure of the fuzzy model based controller for the continuous nonlinear system. Fuzzy controller have been successfully applied to many uncertain and complex industrial plants. The design of the fuzzy controller mainly depends on the knowledge from the expert who are familiar with the plant by trial and error. Therefore we need more systematic approach to the design of the fuzzy controller. In this paper, we design fuzzy model based controller applied to the nonlinear system. Unlike the design procedures reported in[8] and[9], we use the nonlinear process directly in designing the controller. This controller has been successfully applied to an inverted pendulum.

This paper describes the design of a robust adaptive controller for a nonlinear dynamical system with unknown nonlinearities. These unknown nonlinearities are approximated by multilayered neural networks (MNNs) whose parameters are adjusted on-line, according to some adaptive laws far controlling the output of the nonlinear system, to track a given trajectory. The main contribution of this paper is a method for considering input constraint with a rigorous stability proof. The Lyapunov synthesis approach is used to develop a state-feedback adaptive control algorithm based on the adaptive MNN model. An overall control system guarantees that the tracking error converges at about zero and that all signals involved are uniformly bounded even in the presence of input saturation. Theoretical results are illustrated through a simulation example.

The technique of backstepping have can avoid cancellations of useful nonlinearities. It is widely used in nonlinear adaptive control. But it is difficult to use this technique for uncertain nonlinear systems. Sliding mode control has robustness and application with feedback linearization. This paper shows that the robustness can be used for back stopping technique to solve the uncertainty problem and to improve the scalar design problem using Control Lyapunov function which is the motivation of back stepping technique with recursive design for high-order systems. In the respect of SMC, the result of this paper does not need to satisfy the matching condition.

In this paper a novel robust adaptive fuzzy controller for the nonlinear system with state-dependent uncertainty is proposed. The conventional adaptive fuzzy controller determines the function of state variable bounding the state-dependent uncertain term in the system dynamics on the local state space by off-line calculation. Whereas the proposed method determines that function by the fuzzy inference so that it guarantees the stability of the closed loop system globally on the whole state space. In addition, the method is applicable to the multi-input system. We applied the proposed method to the Burn Control of the Tokamak fusion reactor whose dynamics contains the state-dependent uncertainty and proved the effectiveness of the scheme by using the simulation results.

Most of systems has nonlinearity . And also accurate modelings of these uncertain nonlinear systems are very difficult. In this paper, a fuzzy modeling technique for the stabilization control of an IP(inverted pendulum) system with nonlinearity was proposed. The fuzzy modeling was acquired on the basis of ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Infernce System) which could learn using a series of input-output data pairs. Simulation results showed its superiority to the PID controller. We believe that its applicability can be extended to the other nonlinear systems.

An adaptive fuzzy sliding-mode controller (SMC) for uncertain or ill-defined single-input single-output (SISO) nonaffine nonlinear systems is proposed. By using the universal approximation property of the fuzzy logic system (FLS), it is tuned on-line to cancel the unknown system nonlinearity. We adopt a self-structuring FLS to guarantee global stability of the closed-loop system rather than semi=global boundedness. The control and adaptive laws are derived so that the estimated fuzzy parameters are bounded and the sliding condition is satisfied.

This paper presents a novel control methodology for communication network based nonlinear systems with time delay nature. We construct a nominal nonlinear control law for representing a linear model and a reset control system which is aimed for corrective control strategy to compensate system error due to uncertain time delay through wireless communication network. Next, online neural control approach is proposed for overcoming nonstationary statistical nature in the network topology. Additionally, DBN (Dynamic Bayesian Network) technique is accomplished for modeling of its dynamics in terms of casuality, which is then utilized for estimating prediction of system output. We evaluate superiority and reliability of the proposed control approach through numerical simulation example in which a nonlinear inverted pendulum model is employed as a networked control system.
The diesel Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) for vehicle applications is a complex nonlinear system. For the purpose of this paper presents a dynamic average model of the whole system in an entirely physical way, which accounts for the non-ideal behavior of the diode rectifier, the nonlinear phenomena of generator-rectifier set in an elegant way, and also the dynamics of the dc load and diesel engine. Simulation results show the accuracy of the model. Based on the average model, a simple PI control scheme is proposed for the multivariable system, which includes the steps of model linearization, separate PI controller design with robust tuning rules, stability verification of the overall system by considering it as an uncertain one. Finally it is tested on a detailed switching model and good performances are shown for both set-point following and disturbance rejection.

A systematic output tracking control design technique for robust control of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with norm bounded uncertainties is developed. The uncertain T-S fuzzy system is first represented as a set of uncertain local linear systems. The tracking problem is then converted into the stabilization problem for a set of uncertain local linear systems thereby leading to a more feasible controller design procedure. A sufficient condition for robust asymptotic output tracking is derived in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities. A stability condition on the traversing time instances is also established. The output tracking control simulation for a flexible-joint robot-arm model is demonstrated, to convincingly show the effectiveness of the proposed system modeling and controller design.
