출토 직물의 세탁 방법에 따른 물성 변화 (Physical Property Change of Old Fabrics Depending on Cleaning Method)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the efficiency of four different cleaning method of silk and to fabrics, which were excavated from the sixteenth century tombs. The four cleaning methods were hand washing in water and hand washing in solvent, washing in ultrasonic cleaner, and using of ultrasonic gun after washing in ultrasonic cleaner. The following is the result of the experiment: ㆍBoth silk and jute fabrics shrank the most after hand-wash in water. This cleaning method decreased their thickness the most but changed their strength the least. However, the color of the fabric changed the most after had-wash in water. This washing method might discolor the dyed fabric, so one must check the condition of the fabric thoroughly before washing it. ㆍThe weight and the thickness of the fabric changed little after ultrasonic cleaning. This cleaning method, therefore. is less efficient than hand-water-wash. The use of ultrasonic gun after ultrasonic wash for partial cleansing enhanced the efficiency a little. Nevertheless, this method left stain around the area where the gun was used, and the injected water could damage the fabric. ㆍThe excavated fabric became softer in the cleaning process as the dirt was washed away. In both cases of silk and jute fabrics cleaning, solvent made the fabric softer than water. Washed in solvent, the fabric did not swell. But water penetrated to the fiber during the cleaning process and made the fabric swell. When the water evaporates, the swollen fiber structure collapses and the fabric become stiff. Ultrasonic wash did not cause much change in the flexibility of the fabric, for this method does not remove the dirt as effectively as the other method.

나노초 레이저 가공에서 초음파 진동이 가공표면에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Ultrasonic Vibration on Surface Finish in Nano-second Laser Machining)

  • Conventionally, the machined surface roughness in nano-second(ns) laser machining is damaged and rough due to thermal effects. To obtain the improved surface finish, the ultrasonic vibration is applied to ns-laser machining. The ultrasonic vibration jig is developed to apply the ultrasonic high precision motion to workpieces. And then the ns-laser machining is conducted to compare the effects of the ultrasonic vibration. The results show that the surface roughness with ultrasonic vibration is smoother than that without the vibration. The phenomenon could be explained as enhancement of heat transfer by ultrasonic vibration.

초음파분무 연소법에 의한 나노결정 ZnO 초미분체 제조 (Preparation of Nanocrystalline ZnO Ultrafine Powder Using Ultrasonic Spraying Combustion Method)

  • For mass product of nanocrystalline ZnO ultrafine powders, self-sustaining combustion process(SCP) and ultrasonic spray combustion method(USCM) were applied at the same time. Ultrasonic spray gun was attached on top of the vertical type furnace. The droplet was sprayed into reaction zone of the furnace to form SCP which produces spherical shape with soft agglomerate crystalline ZnO particles. To characterize formed particles, fuel and oxidizing agent for SCP were used glycine and zinc nitrate or zinc hydroxide. Respectively, with changing combustion temperature and mixture ratio of oxidizing agent and fuel, the best ultrasonic spray conditions were obtained. To observe ultrasonic spray effect, two types of powder synthesis processes were compared. One was directly sprayed into furnace from the precursor solution (Type A), the other directly was heated on the hot plate without using spray gun (Type B). Powder obtained by type A was porous sponge shape with heavy agglomeration, but powder obtained using type B was finer primary particle size, spherical shape with weak agglomeration and bigger value of specific surface area. 9/ This can be due to much lower reaction temperature of type B at ignition time than type A. Synthesized nanocrystalline ZnO powders at the best ultrasonic spray conditions have primary particle size in range 20~30nm and specific surface area is about 20m$^2$/g.

초음파 용접을 이용한 폴리에틸렌 수지의 접합 (Joining of Polyethylene Polymer by the Ultrasonic Welding)

  • This study was to find the best adhesive condition comparing mechanical property in case of hot-melt adhesion using glue-gun, ultrasonic welding with adhesion and only ultrasonic welding in order to adhere thermoplastic resin of polyethylene (PE) in which reliable adhesion was resulted in case of ultrasonic welding with same materials of PE. The best welding condition were acquired at welding time 1 second, welding pressure 250kPa for PE-PE where welding time and welding pressure were increased in accordance with the increase of material strength. At the best ultrasonic welding conditions, bonding strength of PE-PE welding was about 21MPa of which material have tensile strength of 24MPa. Through the analysis of microscophic test for ultrasonic welding structure, it was distinguished between well welded structure with higher intermolecule flow and bad welded structure with lower flow, of which result is mostly correspond with the result of tensile strength test.

펄스압축 기술을 위한 chirp 신호의 최적대역폭 결정 (Determination of the Optimum-Bandwidth of Chirp-Signal for Pulse Compression Technique)

  • 본 논문에서는 chirp 신호를 초음파 신호처리 시스템에 입력시킬 때 반사신호의 진폭을 최대로 얻기위한 chirp 신호의 대역폭을 결정하는 방법을 연구하였다. 초음파 신호처리 시스템에서 반사신호의 S/N 비는 초음파의 전파시에 발생하는 감쇠와 산란에 의하여 매우 낮게된다. Chirp 신호를 사용한 펄스 압축기술은 초음파 반사시스템의 S/N 비를 증가시킬 수 있는 방법중 하나이다. 시뮬레이션 및 실험결과, chirp 신호의 펄스폭이 넓을수록 출력이 증가하였고 동일한 펄스폭과 주어진 초음파시스템의 대역폭에 대한 최대출력은 chirp 신호의 대역폭이 초음파시스템의 대역폭 보다 1.15배 클 때 얻어짐을 확인하였다.

초음파 용접을 이용한 합성수지의 결합 (Joining of Polymer Materials with Ultrasonic Welding)

  • This study was performed to find the best bonding conditions by comparing mechanical properties in thermoplastic resin of polyethylene (PE) and polyamide (PA) adhesion. Following results were obtained from the tests with varying welding time and welding pressure. Satisfactory adhesion was executed in ultrasonic welding for the same materials of PE and PA. The best welding conditions were found to be welding time of 1 second, welding pressure of 250kPa for PE-PE weding, 2 second and 350kPa for PA-PA welding. Welding time and welding pressure end to increase with the increase of materials strength. Dissimilar materials were adhered when adhesion and ultrasonc welding were performed simultaneously. The observation of the structure of ultrasonic welding area with microscope showed differenticated structures between well adhered region and badly adhered region.

  • In automobile industry, it is necessary to reduce the weight from the view point of energy and environmental problems in these days. One of the ways for weight reduction is using adhesive aluminum structures. In this study, ultrasonic signals reflected from the adhesively bonded joint layer are used to evaluate the adhesively bonded joints. FFT is performed to determine bond-layer parameters such as effective thickness and frequency for adhesively bonded joint Al 6061 plates in comparison with the measured and theoretical ratios. And the parameters of ultrasonic wave and the J-integral are investigated to evaluate the adhesively bonded joint strength by DCB specimens.

  • 초음파 C-scan 기법에 의해 스폿(spot)용접의 품질 평가를 위한 비파괴진단 평가에 관한 기초적인 실험적 검토를 하였다. 먼저, 스폿용접부 초음파탐상에 앞서 뉴우톤링의 모델링 실험을 통해 미소 간극을 갖는 접합계면에서의 초음파 반사 거동의 해석 결과를 근거로 스폿용접부의 너겟 형상과 크기, void 결함등의 정량적 평가와 corona bond의 정확한 식별에 최적한 초음파시험방법 및 조건의 설정을 시도하였다. 초음파시험 후 용접시험편을 절단하고, 그 절단면을 초음파현미경(SAM)과 광학현미경의 단면 관찰을 통해 스폿용접 품질 평가를 위한 초음파 비파괴평가법의 유용 가능성 유무, 적용 한계 등을 검토하였다. 그 결과 본 실험에 사용한 집속 초음파탐촉자(25MHz)에 의한 너겟 내부에 존재하는 void 크기의 검출한계는 $10{\mu}m$였으며 너겟 크기는 초음파시험의 경우가 최대 1mm정도 크게 측정되어 corona bond의 정확한 식별과 너겟 직경의 정량적 평가에 접근하기 위해서는 초음파 C-scan 데이터의 각종 화상 처리 기술의 적용에 의한 corona bond부의 명확한 식별 방법에 대한 연구 검토가 요망됨을 알 수 있었다.

석조문화재 풍화도 평가를 위한 초음파 측정의 설정과 직접-간접전달방법의 상관관계 (Establishment of Ultrasonic Measurement and Correlations of Direct-Indirect Method for Weathering Evaluation of Stone Cultural Heritage)

  • 이 연구에서는 석조문화재의 초음파 측정에 적합한 탐촉자 및 접촉매질을 선정하였으며, 과학적이며 정량적인 평가기술을 개발하기 위해 암종별 직접 및 간접전달방법의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 이 결과, 석조문화재에서 초음파 측정은 유형 3의 탐촉자(UTREXTX(RX)54kHz)와 접촉매질(고무찰흙)을 사용하는 것이 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이 유형 3의 직접 및 간접전달방법의 보정계수는 화강암 1.50, 반려암 1.38, 석영섬록암 1.58로 산출되었다. 이 결과는 초음파탐사의 신뢰도를 높이기 위한 최초의 연구로서 석조문화재의 초음파탐사 방법을 확립하는데 크게 기여할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 암석의 표면요철도와 다양한 접촉매질을 고려한 보완연구가 수행되어야 할 것이며, 암종별 직접-간접전달방법의 상관관계에 대한 데이터베이스도 구축되어야 할 것이다.
