  • The purposes of this study were to : a) examine the current foodservice management practices of twenty-one seniors centers in charge of hoke-delivered meal programs, b) evaluate the attitudes of one hundred and ten recipients of meal service program, and c) provide feedback for the efficient and effective foodservice management for the elderly. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS package program for descriptive analysis, T-test, and ANOVA. The results of quantitative analysis indicated that the costs of meals, containers and special foods were mostly dependent on the support from local government(Seoul city). The centers where the volunteers were over seventy five p ercent of the workers were frtty-eight percent and sixty-seven percent of the subjects in food preparation and food delivery to the homebound clients, respectively. Meal preparation and food purchasing were mainly practiced by social welfare worker. Standardized recipes were not developed and meal preparation was controlled under the cook' and volunteers' experiences. The survey results of recipients who participated the home-delivered meals program showed that the mean of meal satisfaction score was rated over three point five in the five-point scale. There were significant differences between dependent variables(volunteer's kindness, plate waste, menu variety) and independent variables(sex, receiving periods and family type of the subjects). • At this point in time South Korea is rapidly metastasizing to a aging society. A major cause of aging can be summarized as increased life expectancy, decrease of nuclear family and birthrate, and South Korea's progress is faster than any other country. From the 1970s, western society has changed social welfare to deinstitutionalization and community care because of problems about economic reason and facilities protection, so the type of elderly social service has also changed from the facility welfare service which is accommodated old people in certain facility to community welfare service which provides various welfare services with living together. Public facilities for low income group which are supported by government are lower, 6.6%, than the United States or Japan, 50%. They are divided into private manage facilities and subscription elderly facilities. These subscription elderly residential facilities show poor administration because of focusing on development and market analysis for investment returns. Therefore, in order to vitalize the elderly welfare residential facilities in Korea, we need plans about systematic services facilities for welfare and phased medical treatments. Therefore, the purpose of this study is that (1) the types and functions of residents for community elderly residential facilities in elderly welfare policies of U.S., and supported policies are researched as a transcendental model, (2) data about operating system with the principles of the market is analyzed, and (3) basic data about welfare facility plan for community residential elderly people is provided.

  • Based on a survey on 1620 students in primary school and secondary school., by adopting Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), we got the following findings : 1. There is close relationship between emotionality characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement of the subjects at Grade 5 (Primary 5), Grade 8 (Junior Secondary 2), and Grade 10 (Senior Secondary 2). Also there is close relationship between internal-external directivity characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement at Grade 5 and Grade 8. While there is not close relationship between internal-external directivity characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement at Grade 10; 2. There is close relationship between temperament types and mathematics academic achievement of the subjects from the three grades. Superior temperament, which benefit learning mathematics, are sanguine, sanguine-phlegmatic and phlegmatic; While inferior temperament types, which don't benefit learning mathematics, are choleric, melancholic and choleric-melancholic. With the rising of grade, temperament types of benefiting learning mathematics converts from external directivity emotion balance to balance of internal-external directivity emotion stability. While temperament of no benefiting learning mathematics converts from internal directivity emotion balance to balance of internal-external directivity emotion instability; 3. In mathematics education, students' temperament difference, which affects learning mathematics, should be recognized. Mathematics teachers should find out the best teaching ways, forms and methods which are suitable for student's temperament type, so that the students with different temperament types can gain better mathematics academic achievement.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among the variables of attitudes toward school uniform, three aspects of clothing behavior, self-concept, and selected behaviors. Instruments used to test the hypotheses were 12 items selected from the Behavior Test by Laubach, The Perceptual Orientation Scale by Choi, 14 items to assess the attitudes toward school uniform, and 21 modified items to evaluate conformity, fashion, and modesty in clothing. The questionnaires were completed by 484 2nd grade junior and senior high school girls in Seoul. Statistical analysis was performed using the correlation coefficient, $x^2$-tests, and t-tests. The findings could be summarized as follows: 1) Perceptual Orientation and Behavioral Orientation were not significantly related to attitudes toward school uniform. 2) Perceptual Orientation and Behavioral Orientation were negatively related to clothing conformity, 3) Attitudes toward school uniform and clothing behavior were partially different by the grade level and the type of school. 4) Fashion was positively related to conformity, but negatively related to modesty in clothing.

  • Organizations rely on Secure ID resources today to handle vast amounts of information. Because the data can vary widely in type and in degree of sensitivity, employees need to be able to exercise flexibility in handling and protecting it. It would not be practical or cost-effective to require that all data be handled in the same manner or be subject to the same protection requirements. Without some degree of standardization, however inconsistencies can develop at introduce risks. Policy formulation is an important step toward standardization of security activities for ID resources. ID security policy is generally formulated from the input of many members of an organization, including security officials, line managers, and ID resource specialists. However, policy is ultimately approved and issued by the organization's senior management. In environments where employees feel inundated with policies, directives, guidelines and procedures, an ID security policy should be introduced in a manner that ensures that management's unqualified support is clear. The organization's policy is management's vehicle for emphasizing the commitment to ID security and making clear the expectations for employee involvement and accountability. This paper will discuss ID security Policy in terms of the different types (program-level and issue-specific), components, and Implementation of Expert System Simulation based on 4GL, PowerBuilder.

  • In this study, a test-bench for developing and verifying a 1- or 2-axis nanopositioner was manufactured. Using this test-bench, adesigned and manufactured flexure stage based on an analysis can configure nanopositioning systems. A breadboard and fixture were fabricated to be equipped with various types of mechanisms and sizes of stages. The test-bench has linear encoders for calibrating sensors and verifying the orthogonality and parasitic motion of 2-axis nested-type nanopositioners. The controller was developed using LabVIEW and a TI microcontroller. A case study that exemplified the test bench for developing a nanopositioner by senior undergraduate students is shown.

  • This study utilized Q methodology to analyze subjectivity and understand the various factors contributing to the employment difficulties faced by college students majoring in digital content, particularly focusing on practical education. The original data was obtained by administering a Q sample, designed around employment stress and job anxiety, to a purposively selected P sample of 31 individuals, who sorted and classified the statements. The analysis yielded four distinct types: 'lack of practical experience,' 'lack of employment and practical skills,' 'impaired career decision-making and weak will,' and 'lack of mentors and employment information.' Based on these types, the study suggests several implications and solutions, including facilitating student participation in internship programs, offering induction and non-curricular program education, conducting career exploration workshops, and expanding senior mentoring opportunities.

  • This study analyzed the time use of dual income paid workers. The data was selected from the '2009 Korean Time Use Survey' by the Korean National Statistical Office. There were 2799 respondents who were paid workers with dual income. There were big differences in time use between men and women. The result showed that men's time allocation focused on 'labor and leisure' and women's time allocation focused on ‘labor and housework'. This means the women among dual income paid workers faced difficulties in dual burden of work-family balance. Regression analysis on time use dividing men and women showed that age, education, income, working type and the presence of preschool children had significant effects on time allocation. We found the income effects on time use which reduced paid working time and increased housework and leisure time. Significantly, younger men who have preschool children spend more time in housework. We could find the possibility of a change in men's time allocation.
