All electric trains in the city should be run without any troubles of the equipments in order to offer good services to the passengers. But some breakdowns occur when they are operated due to the long time uses. There are mechanical troubles and electrical troubles included reactors. Most of them, the reason of the troubles can be found out easily after breakdown. But it is difficult to find out the reasons of the reactor troubles which disappear after operation. The reactors of the train filter the current which supplied from electrical lines and supply the current to the inverter and block the ripple of the current. Partial discharge occur from the reactor by the heat. accordingly, If the signals of discharge were perceived, it could be anticipate the deterioration degree of insulation. In this paper, on-monitoring system for reactor's troubles in trains is established and the output results of monitoring system are investigated.

The engine room of ship is a synthetic system being composed of many machineries. Therefore, the reliability and safety of the all system of machinery is as important as each machine. In this paper, in order to reudce engine troubles while operation and to contribute in developing a high reliable marine engine the author analysed the factors of marine engine troubles by principal com-ponent analysis method. Analysed data are marine engine troubles of sea casualties from 1980 to 1985. It is found that the major part of marine engine troubles resulted from personal mistake, and also the troubles of shaft, propeller and cylinder occupied considerable proportion.

There are various types of unexpected troubles in service of a thermal power plant, which consists of many complicated high-tech mass equipments. The troubles are mostly caused by the manufacturing defects, the material deteriorations, the human errors, and others. Failures of its system due to the troubles, can bring on the extravagant economic loss and the qualitative degradation of electricity. Especially, it is most important to find a way to decrease human errors because it can result in not only the economic loss, but also morale declination of employees or the department related to the trouble. Therefore, we categorize previous troubles related to the human errors, and try to show the causations and the counter-measures based on the various categories such as maintenance, an operation, and system of the thermal power plants.

Purpose: This study investigated the smartphone using time, troubles with smartphone usage, and related factors in Korean adolescent smartphone users. Methods: Data were obtained from 54,603 subjects aged 13 to 18 years in the 2017 13th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey Results: The study analyzed the school type, academic achievement, residence type, weekly average allowance, and usual counselor, perceived stress, happiness, and depression of the subjects showed a significant difference in the variable of troubles experienced by the smartphone user. Multiple sample logistic regression analysis showed that adolescents with low academic achievement (weekday, weekend OR = 1.78, 1.65), low economic status (weekday, weekend OR = 1.17, 1.37), friends with distress counselors (weekday, weekend OR = 1.29, 1.24), weekly average allowance (weekday, weekend OR = 1.85, 1.50), stressed (weekend OR = 1.25), depressed (weekday, weekend OR = 1.26, 1.14), family troubles (weekday, weekend OR = 1.14, 1.15), friendship troubles (weekday, weekend OR = 1.70, 1.38), and academic performance troubles (weekday, weekend OR = 1.28, 1.38) spent more than the average using time on their smartphones. Conclusion: To prevent overdependence on smartphone use among adolescents, a nursing intervention program that relieves stress and lowers depression should be developed.

There are a lot of troubles during the transfer of the source of electric power in UPS (uninterruptible power supply system) which is indispensable to the industrial equipments. They cause blackout accidents, resulting in a great economic loss. After measuring and analyzing the transient phenomena happening during the transfer, this paper presents the solution of the troubles. The solution can be used as a basic material for maintenance and it can minimize the troubles occurring in UPS and enhance the reliability of it.

Various kinds of coals are supplied for coal fired power plants as the coal market situations are fluctuated with the high prices of oil and coals over the world. The quality of coal is decreasing as coal consumption increased and some specifications of coals are out of boiler design criteria. It could make combustion troubles such as coal clogging, spontaneous combustion, coal firing in the coal handling equipments, ash slag and clinker issues, etc. This paper covers combustion troubles, issues and countermeasures in the biggest coal fired power plant in Korea.

The service reliability of power plants strongly depends on the excellent performance and integrity of hydrodynamic bearings. Consequently, the bearings must be properly designed so as to control vibration amplitudes of rotor due to mass unbalance in passing critical speeds and also suppress self-excited vibrations of rotor even over maximum rated speeds. Furthermore, the bearings must be designed so as to maintain required tribological performance even under severe operating conditions. However, various tribological troubles have been experienced in power plants in Japan. The actual troubles are analysed, focusing on not only direct mechanical causes but also specific bearing designs that surfaced the troubles. Furthermore human factors that decided such designs are also studied. The powerful database of troubles and analyses will contribute greatly to designing advanced power plants with enhanced service reliability in the future. To this end, trouble information should be disclosed, shared and transferred limitlessly. Cooperation of users of power plants is essential to making more advanced design specifications, because no one has easier access to operating and trouble information of power plants than users.

In this study, we have performed a systematic case study on troubles and diagnoses of passenger car's engine based on OBD. We have acquired 1,242 data in order to analysis accurate troubles' causes and apposite diagnoses. 128 data of them are got using OBD apparatus, and the rest of them are collected on related website. As results, distribution on trouble cases shows bad idling(32%), poor acceleration(21%), stop in running(19%), faulty start(11%), inferior fuel economy(9%), and insufficient power(8%) in order of magnitude. And in the systematic cases, it is not difficult to detect troubles in a single part. But we know that special apparatus such as multichannel scanner is needed in complicated troubles. Furthermore we think that the survey is continued in various ways for more systematic case study on troubles and diagnoses.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the emotional roubles of the obese and their's relationship with obesity so as to be useful for treating the obesity and estimating it's prognosis. Method : This study investigates the fifteen statistical treatises for the emotional troubles of the obese, and distributes their's results into depression, perception of obesity, satisfaction of body shape, eating behavior, and other emotional troubles. Conclusions: 1. In the obese dissatisfaction and inferiority complex for body shape are one of the causes bring about depression. 2. Masked depression is often, so exact examination is needed and the treatment of depression is useful for treating the obesity and estimating it's prognosis. 3. In the obese correcting wrong body shape image and making them gain confidence in treatment of obesity is needed because they have low self-efficacy in overeating, high perception of obesity, and dissatisfaction of body shape. 4. The obese has a abnormal eating behavior and it is related with the emotion troubles such as depression, low self-esteem, and so forth.

Detection of grinding trouble occuring during the grinding process is classified into two types, i.e, based on the quantitative and qualitative knowledge. But, since the grinding operation is especially related with a large amount of functional parameters, it is actually defficult to cope with the grinding troubles occuring during process. Therefore, grinding trouble-shooting has difficulty in satisfying the requirement from the user. To cope with the grinding troubles occuring during the process, the application of neural network is on effective way. In this study, we identify the four parameters derived from the AE(Acoustic Emission) signals and present the grinding trouble-shooting system utilizing a back-propagation model of the neural network.
