A New 19-level PWM Inverter for the Use of Stand-alone Photovoltaic Power Generation Systems (독립형 태양광 발전 시스템을 위한 새로운 19레벨 PWM 인버터)

  • A novel multilevel PWM inverter is presented for the use of stand-alone photovoltaic power generation system. In appearance, it consists of three full-bridge modules and three cascaded transformers; therefore, the configuration of the proposed multilevel PW inverter is equal to that of a prior 11-level PWM inverter. Only the turn-ratio of a transformer and its corresponding switching function are different from each other. Owing to these differences, the proposed 19-level PWM inverter has two promising advantages. First, output voltage levels increase almost twofold. Consequently, it can generate more sinusoidal output voltage waveform. Second, due to a revised switching pattern, it lightens power imposed on the transformer, which is used for compensating output voltages with chopped pulses between steps. The validity of the proposed inverter system is verified by computer-aided simulations and experimental results based on a 1 [kW] prototype. The performance of the proposed 19-level PWM inverter is compared with the Prior 11-level PWM inverter and other counterparts.

  • This paper presents the design method of an impedance matching network using an isolation transformer and the Chebyshev filter function for the high efficiency and the flat power driving of an underwater acoustic piezoelectric transducer. The proposed impedance matching network is designed for minimizing the reactance component of transducer and having the flat power response in the wide frequency range. We design a low pass filter with ladder-type circuit using the Chebyshev function as standard prototype filter function. In addition, we design the impedance matching network which is suitable for the equivalent circuit of transducer and the turn ratio of transformer through the bandpass frequency transformation. The proposed method is applied to the simulated dummy load of the tonpilz-type transducer operating in the middle frequency range. The simulation results are compared with the measured characteristics and the validity of the proposed method is verified.

  • 본 논문은 슈퍼커패시터용 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 고주파 변압기 권선비를 고려한 설계에 대해 다루었다. 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터는 슈퍼커패시터의 충전시 스위칭 손실을 줄이기 위해 듀티(Duty)를 제어하여 Buck 모드로 동작하고, 방전시 부하변동에 빠르게 대처하기 위해 Phase-shift 모드로 동작한다. 충전시와 방전시 각각의 동작에서 스위치손실과 변압기의 손실을 분석하여 손실을 최소로하는 변압기 권선비를 선정하고자 한다.

  • With the expression inducted from equivalent circuit of transformer using coupling coefficient K, measuring terminal voltage, a calculation of coil coefficient with reapect to turn ratio is proposed. By that methcxi of measuring K, compared with values theorically, this paper confirmed its propriety. With that methcxi of measuring coil coefficient K, having several couple of coil set, we have clarified the characteristic of K according to changing coil's position, programming regression of least square methcxi, and then the expression for function of K is formulated.

  • 본 논문은 마이크로 그리드에서 에너지 저장용 시스템으로 이용되는 슈퍼커패시터용 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 충전 및 방전시 효율을 고려한 변압기 권선비 설계에 관한 것이다. 충방전 시스템의 토폴로지는 Dual Full-Bridge 방식의 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터이다. 이 컨버터는 슈퍼커패시터의 충전 및 방전시의 스위칭 동작에 따라 벅 또는 부스트 모드로 동작하므로 동일한 출력 조건하에 권선비를 달리해가면서 모드별로 스위칭 손실을 계산하였으며, 손실이 최소로 되는 변압기의 권선비를 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, a PCS which consists of high boost interleaved full-bridge converter and single phase half-bridge inverter is proposed. Proposed PCS is using two full bridge converter modules. PCS consists of parallel input / serial output. It can reduce turn ratio of high frequency transformer. In this paper, PCS which is using 1.5[kW] interleaved full-bridge converter and single phase half bridge inverter is designed and verified stability of system through experiment.

  • 본 논문은 슈퍼커패시터용 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 충 방전 시의 스위치 손실 분석을 통한 변압기 권선비 설계에 관한 내용이다. Dual Full-Bridge 방식의 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 충 방전 동작분석을 통하여 스위치에서 발생하는 손실을 분석하고 변압기 권선비를 달리하여 각 손실을 비교했을 때 가장 작은 손실을 갖는 변압기 권선비를 파악하여 설계에 반영하였다.

  • We have suggested an equivalent circuit model for switching performance of bipolar spin transistor composed of a nonmagnetic metal film (N) sandwiched between two ferromagnetic metal films (F1 and F2). The 'ON' or 'OFF' operation of this equivalent circuit model is simulated by depending on the orientation of the magnetization of F1 and F2 rather than the strength of the external magnetic filed. Changing the coupling coefficient, turn number of two inductances, (L1:L2) like a transformer, and parallel variable resistance R4 connected to L2 at the collector region, we can explain the magnetic characteristics and the dependence of magneto resistance ratio on the orientation of spin-polarized electrons.

  • 본 논문에서는 LED 구동용 전원장치의 필터커패시터와 변압기 권선비에 따른 MOSFET의 전압 정격 및 스위칭 손실 특성 등을 다루었다. 스위칭 손실을 최소화 하려면 변압기 권선비를 최적화할 필요가 있다. 또한 필터커패시터 값이 MOSFET의 전압정격에 영향을 미치므로 이를 고려한 설계가 필요함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문은 마이크로그리드에서 에너지 저장 시스템으로 이용되는 슈퍼커패시터 충방전용 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 효율을 고려한 변압기 권선비 설계에 관한 것이다. 본 논문에서 다루고자 하는 시스템은 Dual Full-Bridge 방식의 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터이다. 슈퍼커패시터측의 방전 동작시 컨버터는 부스트 컨버터로 등가화 할 수 있다. 따라서 등가화한 부스트 컨버터에 대해 권선비를 달리하면서 동일한 출력 조건에서 스위치 손실을 계산하였으며, 이를 통하여 최소의 손실을 가지는 출력전압 즉, 권선비를 찾는 방법을 제안한다.
