Tracking/Erosion Resistance Analysis of Nano-Al(OH)3 Filled Silicone Rubber Insulating Materials for High Voltage DC Applications

  • HVDC technology has become popular as an economic mode of bulk power transmission over very long distances. Polymeric insulators in HVDC power transmission lines are affected by surface tracking and erosion problems due to contamination deposit, which pose a greater challenge in maintaining the reliability of the HVDC system. In addition, polymeric insulators are also naturally affected by aging due to various environmental stresses, which in turn accelerates the surface tracking and erosion problems. Research works towards the improvement of tracking and erosion resistance of polymeric insulators by adding nano-sized fillers in the base material are being carried out worldwide. However, surface tracking and erosion performance of nano-filled aged polymeric insulators for HVDC applications are not well reported. Hence, in the present work, tracking and erosion resistance of the nano $Al(OH)_3$ filled silicone rubber insulation material has been evaluated under DC voltages at different filler concentrations and aged conditions, as per IEC 60587 test procedures. Leakage current and contact angle measurements were carried out to understand the surface hydrophobicity. Moving average technique was used to analyze the trend followed by leakage current. Water aged specimen shows less tracking resistance when compared with thermal aged specimen. It is observed that nano-filler concentration of 5% is even sufficient to get better tracking/erosion resistance under DC voltages.

  • 현대의 고성능 전투기는 공력성능 및 조종성능의 향상을 위하여 대부분 세로축 방향으로 항공기를 불안정하게 설계하는 정안정성 완화(Relaxed Static Stability) 개념을 채택하고 있다. 비행제어법칙의 설계 작업은 이러한 불안정하게 설계된 항공기가 주어진 비행임무에 대하여 만족스런 안정성과 조종성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 비행성능을 조작하는 일련의 과정이다. 전투기의 조종성능은 공대공 전투(Air-to-Air Fighting)와 공대지 전투(Air-to-Ground Fighting)로 분류할 수 있다. 공대공 전투 시에는 전체포착(Gross Acquisition) 및 정밀추적(Fine Tracking)성능을 동시에 만족해야 한다. T-50 비행시험 결과, 공대공 추적에서 전체포착성능은 만족하지만, 정밀추적성능은 만족하지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 정밀추적성능의 향상을 위해 새로운 개념의 세로축 제어법칙 적용에 관한 연구 방향을 제시하였다. HQS 조종사 시뮬레이션 및 비행시험 결과, 본 제어법칙을 적용하였을 때 전체포착성능의 저하 없이 정밀추적성능을 개선시킬 수 있었다.

사이버나이프에서 Xsight spine tracking system을 이용한 3D 표적위치보정의 유용성 평가 (Useful evaluation of 3D target location correction by using Xsight spine tracking system in CyberKnife)

  • 사이버나이프치료에서 삽입된 금표지자의 삽입 개수 및 인식의 제한으로 인하여 3D DOF로 치료하는 경우 척추구조물 정렬을 가능하게 하는 Xsight spine tracking system으로 회전방향의 위치오차를 보정함으로서 표적위치오차를 개선하고, 치료방법의 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 실험결과 6D DOF에서 표적위치오차는 $0.214{\pm}0.058mm$, 종양내부에 삽입된 2개 금표지자를 이용한 3D DOF에서 $0.673{\pm}0.142mm$, 종양외부에 삽입된 2개 금표지자를 이용한 3D DOF에서 $1.126{\pm}0.253mm$, Xsight spine tracking system의 적용 한 3D DOF에서 $0.542{\pm}0.103mm$로 나타났다. 실험결과 척추 구조물로 회전방향에 대한 보정을 시행하였을 때 표적위치에 대한 정확성이 약 48% 향상되었다. 또한, 선량분포의 일치성도 약 3%가 향상되어 일치하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 척추구조물 정렬을 병용한 Xsight spine tracking system의 회전방향에 대한 보정은 유용한 것으로 평가 되었다.

유리섬유 보강재를 이용한 재활용 아스팔트 혼합물의 물리적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Physical Properties of Recycled Asphalt Mixtures Using Glass Fiber Reinforcement)

  • PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to evaluate the physical properties of recycled asphalt mixtures reinforced with glass fiber. METHODS : Firstly, mixing design was conducted on recycled asphalt mixture for use of 50% recycled aggregate. Various laboratory tests were performed on four types of recycled asphalt mixtures with different glass fiber content to evaluate the physical properties. The laboratory tests include indirect tensile strength test, dynamic modulus test, Hamburg wheel tracking test and tensile-strength ratio to evaluate cracks, rutting and moisture resistance of mixtures. RESULTS : The indirect tensile strength of fiber reinforced glass increased about 139.4%. As a result of comparing the master curves obtained by the dynamic modulus test, the elasticity was low in the low temperature region and high in the high temperature region when the glass fiber was reinforced. The glass fiber contents of PEGS 0.3%, Micro PPGF 0.1% and Macro PPGF 0.3% showed the highest moisture resistance and rutting resistance. CONCLUSIONS : The test results show that use of glass fiber reinforcement can increase the resistance to cracking, rutting, and moisture damage of asphalt mixtures. It is also necessary to validate the long-term performance of recycled asphalt mixtures with glass fiber using full scale pavement testing and field trial construction.

공시체 구속 상태에서 정하중 시험에 의한 SMA 혼합물의 소성변형 저항성평가 가능성 (Feasibility of Estimating Rut Resistance of SMA Mixture by Static Loading Test Using Confined Specimen)

  • It is well-known fact that the stone-mastic asphalt (SMA) mixture has shown superior rut resistance, compared with the dense-graded asphalt (DGA) mixture in highway pavements. However, the SMA is measured to be inferior to DGA mixes when tested by well-known high-temperature test methods, such as the wheel tracking (WT), asphalt pavement analyzer, the Marshall Stability and Kim Test. Therefore, this study examined the reasons why it was measured to be inferior, and devised a potential procedure by which the superiority of SMA could be measured at $60^{\circ}C$. The strength against deformation ($S_D$), which was known to show very high correlation with WT results for DGA mixes, was measured by the Kim Test on the specimen confined in the compacted mold. In standard Kim Test, which used the specimen without confinement, the DGA was measured to show higher $S_D$ than the SMA. But by confining specimen, it was found that the $S_D$ of SMA was measured to be higher than that of DGA. Therefore, the confined static test protocol devised in this study was found to be feasible for evaluating rut resistance of SMA mix.

소형 추적 레이다용 종합성능시험 시설 개발 (Development of a Comprehensive Performance Test Facility for Small Millimeter-wave Tracking Radar)

  • 소형 추적 레이다는 저속으로 기동 중인 큰 RCS를 갖는 바다위의 함정 표적 및 고속으로 기동하는 작은 RCS를 갖는 항공기(전투기, 무인기, 헬기 등)에 대하여 빠른 김발구동으로 표적을 향하고 실시간으로 표적을 탐색/ 탐지 하여 추적하는 펄스 방식의 레이더이다. 추적 레이다를 실제 환경에서 성능시험을 수행하는 것은 많은 비용이 발생을 한다. 또한 실제 환경에서는 성능을 정량적으로 측정하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 소형 추적 레이다의 성능을 확인하기 위한 실험실 환경의 종합성능시험 시설의 구성과 각 구성의 주요 요구사항 및 구현에 대하여 설명한다. 실 환경을 모사하기 위한 무반향 챔버, 실 표적의 신호를 모사하기 위한 모의표적발생부, 표적의 이동을 모의하기 위한 혼안테나 구동장치, 추적레이다의 비행환경을 모사하기 위한 FMS(Flight Motion Simulatior)로 구성되며 각각의 설계와 구현에 대하여 설명하였다.

아스팔트 콘크리트 반복주행 시험에서의 동적안정도 정립에 관한 연구 (Determination of Valid Dynamic Stability in Wheel Tracking Test of Asphalt Concretes)

  • 본 연구는 소성변형을 예측하기 위하여 현재 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 반복주행 (Wheel tracking: WT) 시험을 통해 얻어진 변형량-사이클 곡선의 동적안정도(Dynamic stability : DS)를 정립하기 위한 연구이다. 기존에 반복주행시험을 통해 얻어진 곡선에서 동적안정도를 구하는 방법은 표준화되어 있기는 하지만 불합리한 점이 많아 이를 보다 합리적으로 정립하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 슬래브 $305{\times}305{\times}70mm$의 공시체를 롤러콤팩터로 다짐하여 공극률 약 $4\pm0.5%$로 맞추어 제조하여 반복주행시험을 실시하였다. 기존에 동적안정도를 구하는데 사용하던 방법보다는 본 연구에서 사용한 방법으로 동적안정도를 구하는 것이 침하 깊이와의 상관성을 보다 잘 반영하고, 소성변형 저항성이 좋은 것과 나쁜 것간의 차이가 보다 확실히 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 추후 본 연구에서 개발된 방법으로 계산하여서 동적안정도가 큰 혼합물이 실제 현장에서도 공용성이 우수한지를 추적 조사하는 연구가 뒤따라야 할 것이다.

아스팔트 포장 조건이 교면방수 시스템의 인장접착강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Asphalt Pavement Conditions on Tensile Adhesive Strength of Waterproofing System on Concrete Bridge Deck)

  • In this research, eight waterproofing membranes were selected from commercial market and the tensile adhesive characteristics of the waterproofing system (WPS) on concrete bridge deck were investigated in view of various factor in asphalt pavement. Tensile adhesive strength (TAS) test of different asphalt pavement types showed that TAS of WPS under SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) pavement was greater than that under dense asphalt pavement. Tensile adhesive strength (TAS) of sheet membranes was improved as the compaction temperature of asphalt concrete increase, but TAS of liquid membranes were not. TAS of sheet membranes after wheel tracking test were in the order of the sites under wheel path (UWP), before wheel tracking (BWT) and nearby wheel path (NWP), Since TAS of the same WPS of UWP was higher than TAS of BWT, wheel loading had function of pressing WPS resulting in higher adhesive strength, But liquid membranes were variable on types, The feature of detached interface after T AS test showed that sheet types were all detached in between deck concrete and WPS, and liquid types were detached in between asphalt pavement and WPS,

  • In this study, in order to develop outdoor insulating materials, SIN(simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network) was introduced to Epoxy resin and the environment resistance was investigated. The single network structure specimen(E series) formed of Epoxy resin alone and simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network specimen (EM series) in which epoxy resin was taken as the first network and methyl methacrylate resin as the second network were manufactured. Ten kinds of specimens were manufacture by filler (SiO$_2$) content. SEM were utilized in order to confirm their network structure changes, and AC voltage dielectric strength was measured. Also, UV-test and tracking test were carried out investigate the environment resistance characteristic. Therefore the variations of network structure were happened as a result of SEM test, and it was confirmed that simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network specimens were more excellent than single network structure specimens.

Six kinds of specimen were manufacture by filler($SiO_2$) content. SEM was untilized in order to confirm their network structure changes. Also, tracking test, UV test and acid rain test were carried out investigate the environment resistance characteristic. Therefore it was confirmed that simultaneous interpenetrating polymer network specimens were more excellent than single network structure specimens. But, acid rain almost never changed resistance.
