  • In this paper, a new control technique using WIPDC(Weighted Integral Parallel Distributed Compensation) and ISMC(Integral Sliding Mode Control) is proposed for high performance and robust trajectory tracking control of a wheeled mobile robot. The WIPDC reduces the steady-state error by adding a weighted integral controller to the PDC. So, the trajectory tracking control using the WIPDC can obtain more accurate control performance than the PDC. And the ISMC based control input gives the mobile robot to preserve the system dynamics controlled by the WIPDC control input in spite of external disturbances. Therefore, the proposed control method shows a robust and precise trajectory tracking performance.

  • This paper proposes a controller design analysis for three-axis CNC systems considering both contouring and tracking performance. The proposed analysis inclusively combines axial controllers for each individual feed drive system together with cross-coupling controller at the beginning design stage as an integrated manner. These two controllers used to be separately designed and analyzed since they have different control objectives. The proposed scheme includes a stability analysis for the overall control system and a performance analysis in terms of contouring and tracking accuracy. Computer simulation is performed and the results show the validity of the proposed methodology.

  • In this paper, Simulation result was studied by PID controller in series to the estblised neural networks controller. Neural network model is composed of two layers to evaluate tracking performance improvement. The regular dynamics was also studied for the expected error to be minimized by using Widrow-Hoff delta rule. As a result of the study, We identified that tracking performance improvement was developed more in case of connecting PID than conventional neural network controller and that tracking plant parameter in 251 sample was approached rapidly in case of time varying.

  • In a target tracking problem, the radar glint noise has non-Gaussian heavy-tailed distribution and will seriously affect the target tracking performance. In this study, an extended robust $H_{\infty}$ was developed which can significantly improve the tracking performance when glint noise is present. Through the computer simulations, the proposed filter showed superior and robust tracking performance compared with other extended Kalman filters.

  • In this paper, we calculate monostatic RCS(Radar Cross Section) and bistatic RCS for improving the Performance of the skin tracking of KSLV-II and the results were compared. EM(Electromagnetic) simulator was used for numerical analysis. For the two paths(L, S), after the vehicle was launched, RCS was calculated for region from 280 to 400 seconds. In the case of using the bistatic radar system, when the vehicle was launched to the L path, tracking performance was better when we receive RCS in Jeju than in Goheung. When the vehicle was launched to the S path, tracking performance was better when we receive RCS in Goheung than in Jeju. In the case of using the monostatic radar system, when the vehicle was launched to the L path, tracking performance was better when we receive RCS in Goheung than in Jeju. When the vehicle was launched to the S path, tracking performance was better when we receive RCS in Jeju than in Goheung.

  • Tracking error performance is investigated for the typical maneuvering pattern of the anti-ship missile for tracking filters based on IMM filter in both clear and cluttered environments. Threatening targets to a navel vessel can be categorized into having three kinds of maneuvering patterns such as Waver, Pop-Up, and High-Diver maneuvers, which are classified according to launching platform or acceleration input to be applied. In this paper, the tracking errors for three kinds of maneuvering targets are represented and are investigated through simulation results. Studying estimation errors for each maneuvering target allows us to have insight into the most threatening maneuvering pattern and to construct the test maneuvering scenario for radar system validation.

  • This paper introduces robust tracking algorithm for fast and erratic moving object. CAMSHIFT algorithm has less computation and efficient performance for object tracking. However, the method fails to track a object if it moves out of search window by fast velocity and/or large movement. The size of the search window in CAMSHIFT algorithm should be selected manually also. To solve these problems, we propose an efficient prediction technique for fast movement of object using Kalman Filter with automatic initial setting and variable configuration technique for search window. The proposed method is compared to the traditional CAMSHIFT algorithm for searching and tracking performance of objects on test image frames.

  • This paper addresses a new passive target tracking problem using the range differences measured by cooperative UAVs. In order to solve the range difference based passive target tracking problem within the framework of linear robust state estimation, the uncertain linear measurement model which contains the stochastic parameter uncertainty is derived by using the noisy range difference measurements. To cope with the performance degradation due to the stochastic parameter uncertainty, the recently developed non-conservative robust Kalman filtering technique [1] is applied. For the cruciform formation flying UAVs, the relationship between the target tracking performance and the measurement errors is quantitatively analyzed. The proposed filter has practical advantages over the classical nonlinear filters because, for its recursive linear structure, it can provide satisfactory convergence properties and is suitable for real-time multiple UAVs applications. Through the simulations, the usefulness of the proposed method is demonstrated.

  • In recent years, much progress has been made in the automation of welding coped with a variety of highly flexible sensors. Among these sensors, only the eddy current sensor can detect the center location of the butt joint whose gap distance is zero. Thus, in this study the eddy current sensor is used to develop a robust and useful joint tracking system. The developed system is tested to qualify the performance of the system and seam tracking algorithm is proposed and two simulation are executed to show the performance of the proposed tracking algorithm.

  • In this paper, a DLC method is proposed for linear feedback systems to improve the tracking performance when the task of the system is repetitive. DLC can generate the desired control input directly from the previously learned control inputs corresponding to other output trajectories. It is assumed that all the desired output functions considered in this paper have some relations called proportionality and it is shown by mathematical analysis that DLC can be utilized to generate additional control efforts for the perfect tracking. To show the validity and tracking performance of the proposed method, some simulations are performed for the tracking control of a linear system with a PI controller.
