Impact of Second-hand Trading Platform Benefits on Trust, Attitude, and Usage intention - A Focus on Fashion Product Transactions - (중고 거래 플랫폼 혜택이 신뢰, 태도 및 사용의도에 미치는 영향 - 패션 상품 거래를 중심으로 -)

  • Second-hand trading platforms have emerged as a major transaction method among people, and are particularly quite popular with the MZ Generation (Millennial + Generation Z). These generations are more open to transactions through such platforms. Understanding and analyzing these platforms from the perspective of their primary users can help businesses establish effective marketing strategies and attract new customers. This study examines the effect of second-hand trading platforms on usage intention by dividing the benefits into functional, economic, environmental, social, and hedonic categories for MZ generation consumers who have traded fashion products on such platforms. In addition, it explores how differences in fashion leadership affect the relationship between platform benefits, trust, and attitude. A total of 400 participants were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and IBM AMOS 24.0. The results indicate that the benefits of second-hand trading platforms have a significant impact on trust in and attitude toward these platforms. Furthermore, the effect of platform benefits on consumer responses varied based on the extent of fashion leadership. This study provides practical insights for developing marketing strategies for second-hand transaction platforms and underscores the academic significance of studying consumer behavior in a second-hand fashion markets.

Standardized ileal digestible methionine requirements for 22 to 29-d-old male broilers based on the growth performance and feather development

  • The aim of the present experiment was to determine the standardized ileal digestible (SID) methionine (Met) requirement during the grower phase (22 to 29 days). A total of 192 Ross 308 male broilers (745 ± 50.5 g) were assigned to six dietary treatments in a randomized complete block design, with eight replicate cages per treatment. The experimental diets were formulated based on corn, soybean meal, and synthetic amino acids (AA), with different levels of dietary SID Met ranging from 0.40% to 0.65%, in increments of 0.05%. Individual body weight and feed intake per cage were measured at the beginning and end of the experimental period. Weight gain (g/bird), feed intake (g/bird), gain-to-feed ratio (g/kg), feather weight (g), and relative feather percentage (% of body weight) were analyzed for linear or quadratic responses using orthogonal polynomial contrasts. Final body weight, weight gain, and feed intake increased quadratically as dietary SID Met concentration increased (p < 0.05). However, the composition of AA in the feathers showed no quadratic or linear effect based on dietary SID Met concentrations, except for Ile (p = 0.05; quadratic). The SID Met requirements for optimum and maximum weight gain of 22 to 29-days-old male broilers were estimated using the broken-line and quadratic-line models to 0.45% and 0.55%, respectively.

Seismic Response Control Performance Evaluation of Twisted Irregular Building by TMD Distributed Application (TMD 분산 설치에 따른 Twisted 비정형 건축물의 지진응답 제어 성능 평가)

  • High-rise buildings are equipped with TMD (Tuned Mass Damper), a vibration control device that ensure the stability and usability of the building. In this study, the seismic response control performance was evaluated by selecting the design variables of the TMD based on the installation location of the twisted irregular building. To this end, we selected analysis models of 60, 80, and 100 floors with a twist angle of 1 degree per floor, and performed time history analysis by applying historical seismic loads and resonant harmonic loads. The total mass ratio of TMDs was set to 1.0%, and the distributed installation locations of TMDs were selected through mode analysis. The analysis results showed that the top-floor displacement responses of all analysis models increased, but the maximum story drift ratio decreased. In order to secure the seismic response control performance by distributed installation of TMDs in twisted irregular buildings, it is judged that the mass ratio distribution of TMDs will act as a key variable.

The Effect of Perceived Value in Pop-up Stores on Consumers' Sharing Intentions: Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Immersion and the Mediating Effect of Brand Attachment (팝업 스토어에서의 지각된 가치가 소비자의 공유 의도에 미치는 영향 : 몰입의 조절효과와 브랜드 애착의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study explored how perceived value-specifically self-expressive, emotional, and utilitarian values-experienced by consumers at luxury fashion brand pop-up stores influenced their sharing intentions. Additionally, it examined how the level of immersion in the pop-up store and brand attachment act as moderators and mediators in these relationships. An online survey was conducted among women in their 20s and 30s residing in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, who had visited luxury fashion brand pop-up stores. A total of 307 responses were analyzed using the SPSS statistical program, incorporating factor analysis, regression analysis, and tests for moderation and mediation effects. The study found that all dimensions of perceived value-self-expressivesignificantly impacted consumers' sharing intentions. Moreover, immersion levels at the pop-up stores significantly moderated the relationship between these values and sharing intentions, while brand attachment mediated this relationship. The research concludes that luxury fashion brand pop-up stores are an effective marketing strategy offering various consumer values that encourage sharing behavior. The findings provide valuable insights for luxury brands in formulating strategies that enhance emotional connections with consumers and amplify voluntary promotional efforts.

  • Purpose: Color induces psychological responses in consumers, and the importance of color in marketing strategies is continuously emphasized. In particular, color can significantly influence consumers' purchasing decisions, even for food products. In this context, this study aims to examine the role of color naming in affecting consumers' product evaluations and purchase intentions for food products, with a focus on how the times of consumption acts as a moderating variable. Research design, data and methodology: This study designed the experiment using the Qualtrics program and recruited a total of 206 participants residing in the Eastern United States through the Amazon Mechanical Turk. Result: The experimental results showed that the ambiguity of color naming had different effects on consumer product evaluation and purchase intention depending on the times of consumption. Specifically, during the daytime, ambiguous color naming led to more positive evaluations and higher purchase intentions for the product, whereas these effects diminished during the nighttime. Conclusions: Considering the time of consumption in marketing strategies is essential for applying color naming effectively.

Priority Analysis of the Determining Factors of Faculty Startups in Medical Schools (의과대학 교원 창업 결정요인 우선순위 분석)

  • Purpose: This study investigates the factors influencing medical school faculty's entrepreneurial decisions and prioritizes these factors. Methodology: The study examines the determinants of entrepreneurial decisions among medical school faculty by reviewing prior studies. These determinants were categorized into four perspectives: resource-based, industrial organization, entrepreneur characteristics, and other. Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), the study analyzed the relative priorities of 27 specific indicators. Surveys were conducted with medical school faculty with startup experience, professors with relevant expertise, and organizational leaders involved in entrepreneurship. A total of 33 responses were validated for consistency, and an empirical analysis identified the priority of factors influencing medical school faculty startups. Findings: The findings reveal that 'entrepreneur characteristics' and 'institutional and organizational support' are the highest priority factors for medical school faculty. Key resource-based factors include the 'leave of absence' or 'concurrent employment policy,' availability of 'professional human resources,' and 'organizational support' specializing in startups. An integrated analysis shows that while intellectual resources such as research publications, patents, and physical space are necessary, the highest priority is given to leave policies, professional human resources, and organizational support. Practical Implication: Medical school faculty are recognized as key innovation agents in the bio-health industry. The results provide crucial insights for policymakers and stakeholders at governmental, institutional, and organizational levels. Strengthening self-competence, increasing entrepreneurship opportunities, and establishing professional human resources and organizational support within medical universities or hospitals are critical for facilitating medical school faculty startups.

Development of optimization teaching and learning materials for artificial intelligence mathematics using ChatGPT and Python (ChatGPT와 파이썬을 활용한 <인공지능 수학>의 최적화 교수·학습 자료 개발 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to enhance understanding and utilization of the core mathematical principles of artificial intelligence, and to develop teaching and learning materials that apply algorithmic thinking and integrated methodologies. To achieve this, teaching and learning materials were developed to implement the concept of optimization through Python using ChatGPT, focusing on mean squared error and gradient descent, structured into a total of five sessions. These materials were applied to high school students, and observations of their understanding, learning methods, and attitudes showed positive responses. As a result, the effectiveness of the AI mathematics optimization teaching and learning materials developed in this study and their applicability in educational settings were confirmed.

  • The automotive industry is changing rapidly with the electrification of vehicle powertrains. Many EV platforms have emerged, and the safety issues of battery-pack structures are being studied. The goal of vehicle design is a reasonable compromise between weight reduction and vehicle cost without decreasing vehicle performance or safety. Reducing the impact on global warming is another concern. Automotive industries are making efforts to confront this situation, one of which is using multi-material structures for vehicle bodies. Automotive closure parts account for more than 15% of the total vehicle body weight and have many different components. Therefore, efforts have been made to optimize the structure and material to reduce weight. However, applying different materials to automotive closure parts presents several technical challenges. The combination of dissimilar materials is vulnerable to corrosion, and distortion may occur after the painting process due to the different thermal responses of the materials. From a manufacturing perspective, the use of multi-materials can cause problems in the production line (process conformity). Thus, adaptive solutions to produce closure parts made of multi-materials are needed. This study addressed the design of multi-material closure parts and related manufacturing process issues, such as forming, assembling, corrosion resistance, and dimensional accuracy.

Exploring Media Richness in the Metaverse Shopping Platform -The Role of Rendering Quality and Avatar Realism- (메타버스 쇼핑 플랫폼의 미디어 풍부성 -렌더링 품질과 아바타 현실감의 역할-)

  • The "metaverse" refers to a three-dimensional virtual realm that provides immersive experiences to users through their avatars. In a metaverse, consumers can interact with other users and engage in real-life activities using their avatars. These avatars are visual depictions of the user with realistic or unrealistic animated features. This study investigates how the rendering quality of virtual stores in a metaverse, serially mediated by embodied presence and enjoyment, can increase the use intention of metaverse shopping platforms. Additionally, this study explores how avatar realism moderates relations between the rendering quality and embodied presence. An experimental study was conducted using a between-subjects design to investigate the effect of metaverse media richness through avatar realism (realistic vs. unrealistic). Participants were randomly allocated to view a stimulus, and a total of 205 valid responses were analyzed using AMOS 23.0 and SPSS Process Macro 4.0. The results suggest that the rendering quality has a greater impact on embodied presence, particularly when consumers experience environments featuring realistic avatars. In conclusion, high rendering quality and realistic avatars within the metaverse space enable consumers to experience greater enjoyment and more actively engage with metaverse shopping platforms.

The Impact of Coffee Barista Job Stress on Job Satisfaction and Organizational Loyalty (커피 바리스타 종사원의 직무스트레스가 직무만족, 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the factors that affect the relationship among coffee barista employees job stress, job satisfaction and customer organizational loyalty. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed to consumers, of which 188 were deemed suitable for analysis after the removal of 12 unusable responses. In order to perform statistical analyses required by the study, the SPSS 18.0 Statistical Program was employed for frequency, factor, reliability correlation, and regression analyses. The results of exploratory factor analysis showed that three factors regarding job stress were extracted from all measurements with a KMO of 0.714 and a total cumulative variance of 64.368%, with regards to job satisfaction, three factors were extracted with a total cumulative variance of 151.612% and a KMO score of 0.659. One factor for organizational loyalty was extracted that accounted for a total cumulative variance of 62.102% and a KMO score of 0.750. All factors were significant to 0.000 and the correlation between variables was significant. Thus, based on the results, the main research hypothesis that identifies the relationships among job stress, job satisfaction and organizational loyalty was partially adopted.
