New On-line Tuning Scheme of Inductances for Induction Motors in Field Weakening Region (약계자 영역에서 유동전동기 인덕턴스의 새로운 온라인 동조방법)

  • New estimation and tuning schemes of inductance variations for rotor flux oriented (RFO) control of induction motor in field weakening region are presented. Stator transient inductance and stator self inductance are estimated. From estimated stator self inductance. magnetizing inductance is estimated and from estimated stator transient inductance, rotor leakage inductance is estimated. Simulation and experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed s scheme in constant torque and field weakening region.

  • In electric motor coaches, the rolling stocks move by the adhesive effort between rail and driving wheel. Generally, the adhesive effort is defined by the function of both the weight of electric motor coach and the adhesive effort between rails and driving wheel. The characteristics of adhesive effort is strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheel. When the adhesive effort decreases suddenly, the electric motor coach has slip phenomena. This paper proposes a anti-slip control algorithm which uses the maximum adhesive effort by instantaneous estimation of adhesion force using load torque disturbance observer. Based on this estimated adhesive effort, the anti-slip control is performed to obtain the maximum transfer of the tractive effort.

  • A SRM develops its torque according to the inductance variation as the rotor position and the phase current. The variation of the inductance and the phase current plays an important role in output characteristics. Predicting and calculating the inductance is invaluable in the study of SRM. This paper suggests the estimation method of inductance as variation of phase current and rotor position considering magnetic saturation of motor core. This method is also applied to full-pitched winding SRM.

  • This paper describes the nonlinear sensorless control of induction motor by using feedback linearization and current error; the feedback linearization technique and the current error are applied for independent between rotor flux and electric torque and for speed estimation. The dynamic characteristics of the proposed nonlinear control algorithm involving field weakening area are verified by simulation and experiment.

  • The gear in various mechanical components easily occurs at damages by the external torque. The main failure modes of the gear are surface pitting with the tooth surface and breakage with tooth root by caused fatigue. Therefore, the gear is very important role in the reliability research since it may cause fatal damage of entire system such as the gear box in automobile transmission. In this study, the failure mode of the gear was analyzed and accelerated durability analysis was employed for the life estimation of spur gears. In the case of assumed load spectrums, the reliability of spur gears was evaluated by inverse power law-Weibull accelerated life test model with cumulative damage exposure.

  • In this paper, a simulation based estimation method of energy consumption of the spindle and feed drives for the NC machine tool during the cutting process is proposed. To predict energy consumption of the feed drive system, position, velocity, acceleration and jerk of the table are analyzed based on NC data and then the power and energy are calculated considering friction force and mass of the stages. Energy consumption of the spindle is estimated based on models from acceleration motion of rotating parts, friction torque and power loss of motors. Moreover, simulation models of cutting power and energy for the material removal along the NC tool paths are proposed.

  • This paper presents self tuning PI controller of IPMSM drive using neural network. NNPI controller is developed to minimize overshoot, rise time and settling time following sudden parameter changes such as speed, load torque and inertia. Also, this paper is proposed speed control of IPMSM using neural network and estimation of speed using artificial neural network(ANN) controller. The results on a speed controller of IPMSM are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed gain tuner. And this controller is better than the fixed gains one in terms of robustness, even under great variations of operating conditions and load disturbance.

  • 본 논문에서는 매입형 영구자석 동기기 (Interior Permanent Magent Synchronous Motor)를 이용한 풍력발전 시스템에서의 효과적인 단위 전류 당 최대 토크 (Maximum Torque Per Amper) 제어를 위해 필요한 파라미터인 영구자석 회전자의 초기위치 및 동기 인덕턴스를 측정하는 방법을 보인다. IPMSM을 이용한 풍력 발전 시스템의 경우 기동 토크를 제대로 발생 시키고, 돌극성으로 나타나는 릴럭턴스 토크를 효과적으로 이용하기 위해서는 정확한 회전자의 초기위치 및 인덕턴스 값이 반드시 필요하다. 제안하는 고주파 입력 시험은 역기전력 성분이 발생하지 않아서 이때의 고정자 전류를 해석하여 모터의 회전 없이 현재의 회전자의 위치 및 인덕턴스 값을 측정할 수 있다. 실험 결과를 바탕으로 제안하는 방법의 타당성을 보인다.

  • This paper deals with method to measure the user's driving-will force and to control the power-assisted wheelchair. To solve this problem, we extract the user's driving-will by using the mathematical motor model. And then, we get the linear and angular velocity at the center of the vehicle. Wheel velocities are also measured from center velocity. Finally, power-assisted electric wheelchairs are controlled by these data. Here all processes are verified by simulation.
